FME Flow

Hi,I would like to ask if there is a way to share webconnections to group of users with partial permission (ie only access permission) not full permission. the issue with full permission that the shared users can be able to delete web connections I shared. I have to tried to take off their manager and create permission but still wont be able to let them do not remove the share connection.We are looking for a way can do partial permission setting up. Thank you very much. 😁 

Hello everyone, I encounter a similar problem to the following post from 4 years ago.I am able to write several output files (2 .dgn files) in FME Form. However when I publish the script to FME Flow and run  the script in the form of a workspace I only get one output result back.I already looked into the Data Download Service Properties when I publish the script to FME Flow and both writers are already included in the Writers in Download attribute. So I am not sure why I don't get both files in the zip file. The files don't have the same name. The weird thing is also that the dgn file I get back from FME Flow has

in a FME FORM i have made some user parameter, that takes in input; one of them have a conditional visibility based on whether another user parameter has an input of > 100. When i run the creator in FORM, and input a number abobe 100,  it works, but when i publish it to FLOW the conditional visibility doesn’t work.then, if I change the condition to “is 100” instead og “> 100” and republish, it works.is this a bug, or is there a work around?  

Hi -I could use a hand. We are working with FME Flow 2024.1.1 with work spaces being generated in FME Desktop 2024.1.1.The data download service is working fine, but we would like to be able to do one or two things:Is it possible to just download a .docx or xslx file without it being zipped? It is one other step that our end users don’t need. If not, is it possible to name the zip file according to report for the area we are working in, something like: BostonStreets_20250203.zip. An example of the output we are seeing, and would like to change, is attached. We can name the files within the zip file whatever we want, no problem.Any help or suggestions are appreciated!Thanks! 

Workspace I’m uploading from FME Form (2024.0.1.0) returns this error.  Failed to update definition of database type 'Microsoft SQL Server (JDBC)' - FME Flow encountered an error and reported the following message.Database type Microsoft SQL Server (JDBC) cannot be edited.Request to http://XXXXXXXXX/fmeapiv4/databasetypes/Microsoft SQL Server (JDBC) returned status code 422. Is a workspace that has SQL Executors pointing to a SQL Server database and outputs results to a XLSX file on my laptop.Any help would be appreciated.

This job works fine in FME Workbench 2024.2. But in FME flow, when I try to run the workspace, it’s trying to create a folder instead of a .xml file. See screenshots

We have an FME Flow Hosted instance running and I need to connect to an MS SQL Server. I have seen from the Reader/Writer documentation that MS SQL is not supported from FME Flow Hosted.Does anyone have a suggestion how we could still connect to MS SQL?The question is very relevant to us, since we plan to migrate to an FME Flow that will also run from an Linux-instance, which seems to be the cause why it isn’t possible to connect to MS SQL. N.B. Our current FME version is 2024.0.3.

Hi AllCurrently we are facing some weird issueWe have a FME workspace which is running fine in FME Form (2024.2.3 - 64 bit), we have published to FME Flow (2024.2.3) and when we ran the workspace from FME Flow, it started throwing below Ora error (changed ServerName & UserName values to XXX to hide)-“ Error connecting to Oracle database: message was `ORA-12154: TNS:could not resolve the connect identifier specified'. Hello, I am using FME Flow 2021. I have an Automation that uses Directory Watch. When a file is added to the “Directory to Watch,” the Automation should run. But it does not run when a new file is added. I can run it manually, and it works as expected. In my screen capture below, it seems I need to add something to “Events to Watch for” to trigger. What am I missing?  

Hi list.I have a local FME Flow development setup using 2024.2.3Originally all of its 4 services ran as Local System, but the workspaces need to access files on a file share on another server, and so I tried changing the services (except database) to Local Network Service without much success.Our production servers (2022) do run with an AD account, so I have som experience with this approach. I therefore changed the development Flow to run under my AD account.The interface seems to be working ok, but now whenever I try to run a workspace, it errs with “There was an error submitting the job”.Why is this different ? What am I missing here ?Any insight is appriciated.Cheers

Hi all, I am trying to modify a workbench and re-upload it to the server (2020.1 to 2020.1) and am getting back an error that: The following readers or writers are included in an enabled service, but are not present in the workspace: [SourceDataset_JSON]Request to xxx returned status code 422. This has only happened since we updated the server from 2020.0 to 2020.1. The workbench takes incoming JSON from a notification service using a topic and subscription and runs it through the workbench and dumps it into an Esri Portal FS.  This error is odd because there is only one reader and one writer in the service.  If anyone else has seen this problem please let me know. Thanks!-Adrian

Greetings!I have a simple workbench that runs without issue on Form (v2025.0) that uses a CSV reader that lists File_name, file_url in which the url is a SFTP://hostname:22/path/filename.typ The CSV reader is linked to the FTPCaller.This process works fine on Form (desktop) and loads the files to the respective server and path.However, when the workbench is run from the server, is runs Successful-but does not load the files; in the log there is an error: FTPCaller (FTPFactory): FTP/FTPS/SFTP transfer error: Could not resolve hostname Any suggestions on why?

Hi All,I have a question regarding the integration of FME Flow with the ArcGIS suite. I am currently developing a 3D viewer platform utilising ArcGIS technologies, such as the 3D viewer, to display LiDAR data in SLPK format. The platform operates smoothly; however, my client has requested the capability to download the data as LAS files based on an 'Area of Interest' (AOI) drawn by the user.I am considering embedding an FME Flow application within an ArcGIS Experience Builder that hosts both the 3D Viewer and the FME Flow application to facilitate the download of LAS files. Is this feasible? Any information or resources to assist in achieving this would be greatly appreciated.Additionally, is it possible to customise the FME Flow map to function as an ArcGIS Webmap (either 2D or 3D) to display the extent of the LiDAR data? My tests have only shown the default map with OpenStreetMap as the background, but I aim to provide users with the extent of the LiDAR data s

When I tried to connect to FME Flow from FME Form, it failed and got following logs:Starting connection to 'Prod FME Flow' Connecting to 'https://fmeflow.xxxx.xxxx.nsw.gov.au' (web connection, authenticated login)... Our Flow instance has more web connections than it should.  That’s the result of allowing new connections without peer review.Now, one of our team members is leaving and I’m concerned his workspaces will use connections that won’t transfer.  (We use Entra)Is there a way to find all the connections used in various workspaces (scheduled and on-demand apps).  I don’t see a view for that in the individual workspaces, or I’d step through them all.Other than downloading and opening each workspace (~100), or deleting the connections to see what happens, is there a way?

Hopefully someone can offer some advice on using ArcGIS Online hosted feature service webhooks and FME Flow.I have set up webhooks on a test hosted feature service, derived from a survey123 form. When implementing a webhook directly via Survey123, I successfully receive a response in the FME Flow log. However, when implementing a webhook on the feature service, there is no response in the log.I’ve done some checks using https://webhook.site/ and I can see that ArcGIS Online is sending data when using that URL, so it’s not a problem with the feature service webhook, but appears to be an issue with FME Flow.I should add, FME Flow is HTTPS enabled. All feature service settings look to be correct and I have default Admin rights on AGOL.Has anyone encountered a similar problem?  

When I installed FME Server, it is asking me for the name of the server which I specified. But when I register the license and the engines are started, they are listed as localhost_ENGINE1. Is there a way to change it the server name? What if I wanted to specify the engines to run with the server name, how do I do that at install?

Hi guys, I have a doubt, I don’t know if such an option already exists or not, if it does, please guide me to the page.I need to make a notification system within the FME Server to send a live notification to a email if a job fails. Now there are number of methods to do this I believe, and I tried some of them but failed to achieve what I really require. What I need is a live notification system, i.e., it must notify me as soon the job fails. Now this notification message must contain time, workspace name, repository name, and the error message in a clean manner, like for example “Workspace Name : work.fmw”. Here the workspace name and repository name must be there without any fail, the other details I can compromise, but these two information is a must. Now, this notification system must not depend on a workspace, because I know i can create a notification system using FME Flow Notifier within a workspace. Hi, We encountered a strange problem regarding python environment when running multiple jobs via jobsubmitters on FME Flow. We recently updated from FME Server 2022 to FME Flow 2024.2.3Build 24825 which is when the automation stopped working. The automation triggers a sequence of master workspaces, which then runs multiple child workspaces. The first master workspace contains a creator, pythonCaller and 2 FMEFlowJobSubmitters in sequence. The rest of the workspace is not important, as the problem is with these first transformers. When running the master workspace, the Flow engine is loaded with python 3.12+ and runs the first pytonCaller and first FMEFlowJobSubmitter without a problem. However, when running the second FMEJobSubmitter, the following error is given: “FME Engine encountered a Python issue. Workspace requiring Python 2.7 is requested to run on an FME Engine configured to use a Python 3.12+ interpreter. FME cannot continue given the
