I am sending JSON data to a Text File Writer. The Text File Writer has its MIME type set to "application/json", yet the response Content-Type remains "text/plain". Is there a way to force this to "application/json"? (Note: Using a JSON writer does set the content type to application/json, but it formats the response as a JSON array, which is not suitable for my calling application.) Second, the application that will be using this Data Streaming service sometimes requires specific HTTP status codes to be returned. Is there a way to force the HTTP status code e.g. to 400?

Hi, fellow FMEers! I a problem that I cannot solve. I want to present 3D data along a line with breakpoints. In my script I want the line to be presented as a straight line (a profile).  It is important that the length of the line parts are correct but it doesn't matter where the resulting parts start.  The data input line is drawn from start to end but can begin and end anywhere (from west to east, north to south and so forth...).  Any hints or suggestions? 

HelloI took CityGML LOD2 RoofSurfaces (~1700) and textured them with an Orthofoto. If I write this to a 3D PDF or glTF it takes 1min and produces output of 50Mb in PDF and 15Mb in glTFIf I write the same data to an ESRI File GeoDB it takes 5h+ and produces a File GeoDB with ~6Gb size .What is going on here ? Do I need to specially treat the surfaces before writing them to the File GeoDB ?

Hello everyone,I'd like to outline the main concept of my work. I am working with two point clouds, one representing a road and the other obstacles. Initially, my goal is to determine the minimum distance between these two point clouds. To achieve this, I rasterize both point clouds and calculate the difference (A-B). I then identify the point with the minimum height (Xh, Yh) and its corresponding difference height (H). After that, I rotate the two point clouds, merge them, and rasterize the combined set. The result is like represented in the first picture. However, I aim to enhance this representation by adding an arrow to signify the distance H, as shown in the second picture.  My idea (maybe not the best) is identifying the neighboring pair in the two point clouds close to the extracted point with the minimum height (Xh, Yh). I intend to draw a line connecting this pair, label it with H, and either rasterize it with the point cloud or incorporate it in the end somehow. For now i

All our processes that were inserting NVARCHAR(MAX) values into SQL Server databases have stopped working correctly (FME inserts NULL values into NVARCHAR(MAX))after the latest FME upgrade (2022).  We have found a temporary solution using the Microsoft SQL Server Non-Spatial (JDBC) format instead of Microsoft SQL Server Non-Spatial but it requires to modify a lot of workspaces manually. Does anyone know if this is a bug and if it will be fixed? Thank you! 

I have created a process that simulates the horizontal wellbore creation processes for a client. However, I am stumped on, what seems to be a rather "newbie" process of flipping 180 degrees a select set of features. Let me illustrate further:  In the example below the user selects a township to create the horizontal wellbores. The workbench tiles the township into 6 sections by default. They next pick a direction (ie East/West or North/South.) Next they choose a starting location for the Surface Hole (N, S, E, or W.) Lastly they choose how many wells to place in each section.  The result is this of a North/South orientation with the surface hole in the south and 6 horizontal wellbores placed in the sections. So far, no issues this is version 1 where they all go in the same direction.    However, the client also wants the option of creating a "pad well" style drilling progam. I have a workbench I'm updating from 2021.2 to 2022.1. It reads in features and then following the general flow from this article (https://community.safe.com/s/article/how-do-i-write-updates-to-an-existing-arcgis-onlin) does the change detection and then updates the portal service. In 2022.1 I'm running into an error though where when it starts writing the updates I get" ArcGIS Portal Feature Service Writer: Could not find a layer/table matching feature type 'ParcelTest_DBO_DelTest'". I've used the GUI to select the item from the portal, the only difference I can see is the '_' instead of the '.' in the service name. I can't change this though. In 2021.2 the writer has the '.' in the name. I can click on the url of the ArcGIS Portal Feature Service Writer: Requesting metadata for Feature Service at 'https://xxx.xxx.xxx/server/rest/services/ParcelTest_DBO_DelTest/FeatureServer' message and it opens the rest endpoint  

If anyone is using Asana, please help me. I have the portfolio, projects, and users table in my FME workspace. I am trying to figure out a way to be able to use the project GID to be able to get their tasks but there's a problem with the tasks table. The task api has an endpoint to ONE projects. I am envisioning where I can pick different projects and be able to look at their tasks.  Does anyone have any idea? I was thinking about looping but I'm having a hard time understanding how I would loop if the task's api can only GET one project.

 I have a unique requirement that I'm racking my brain trying to find a solution. I have a set of irregular shaped polygons, and I would like to draw a line between all unique pair of vertices. In the crude example below, the black line represents the input polygon and the yellow represents the desired result. Ultimately, after building the lines, I want to query out the longest line for additional processing.

I am trying to install FME Flow 20.23.1 on a local MS Windows 2022 Server. I am using / trying to use the silent installer. The command that runs successfully is shown below. The install.logs shows no errors and end with message: "Installation completed successfully" I have an external Tomcat instance btw. I can successfully start the FME Server by using the bat file startCore.bat. After I use this bat file, I can go to http://localhost:8080/fmeserver/ and I can login with admin / admin. Everything looks fine. When I try to start FME Server using the MS Window service created by the installer, it fails with message Error 126: The specified module could not be found I think the service fails fairly quickly in the sense that no real FME processes are started and there is nothing in the log files.  It this is a known issue with running FME Flow on MS Windows 2022 server? I checked the documentation but there doesn't seem to be specific requirements mentioned for running FM

If a user follows a direct link to a workspace app or an app gallery, and there is authentication required, a login screen appears.  If using 'normal' login with username / password, after login the user gets redirected to the URL in the workspace link., which is correct. However, if I use a Microsoft Azure AD login ('log in with microsoft'), the user always gets redirected to de base URL of FME server and not to the app. Is there somewhere a setting we should set to redirect to the url of the app instead of the base url ?

Since it almost exactly matches what I’m trying to do, I started with the workspace posted by @trantatsafe here https://community.safe.com/s/question/0D54Q000080hPh1SAE/agol-attachments-what-are-you-doing-with-the-attachments-after-youve-read-them Problem 1)There are 3693 attachments in the dataset.  When attempting to put them through this workspace, only a suspiciously even 2000 come out of the ListExploder. The others fail with the message MISSING_PARAMETER_LIST. Since they exist (visible from Esri), they must have attributes, don't they? Or am I missing something here? I hate to muddy the waters but there is also second issue: Problem 2)The 2000 records that do pass through do not link back to the points. I initially thought this was due to the reader bug https://community.safe.com/s/question/0D54Q00009PK7llSAD/read-arcgis-online-attachments-and-maintain-globalids-for-both-features-and-attachments?t=1703270433321 but I applied the GUID Generator solution without any success.

Hello,I have lines (linestring) that intersect forming Multilinestring. I would like to know if it possible to "force" them to keep the Linestring format? Example: here is a network with a loop (in red)On FME, I tried a deagregator which gives me 3 polylines , 3 linestring. Ok it's good! But I want juste one line and impossible for me to find how to merge these 3 lines without convert all in Multilinestring. I tried the LineCombiner but nothing happens, I still had my 3 lines.Any help would be appreciated :)Thanks you

I have a DGN with linked word/excel/pdf documents and I am wanting to extract the filenames and connect to the relevant geometry within GIS. When I open the DGN in MicroStation I can see the linked documents but when I open in FME Inspector, they disappear. See attached image of links in MicroStation. I thought they may be pulled through into a 'linkage' field but they don't look to be.

I have a workspace that reads other workspaces, to do an inventory. I have looked for the Startup Python Script but I can't find it, does the FeatureReader not read that information?

I just started using FME and my first goal is to compare values from DWG attributes and Excel rows. Each Excel row corresponds to a DWG file, I use AttributeKeeper to filter out the same number of columns in each transformer and would like to test each column in the DWG file to the Excel file to see if they match. If they don't I want to add that row, where one of the columns is filename, to a new Excel file and output it.  I've searched this forum extensively but can't find a topic that matches my specific question. Some help on how to continue would be appreciated.  This is an example of my input from both Excel and DWG. I want to know if "Value1" in File1 of the Excel file is the same as "Value1" in "File1" of the DWG file, and so on. The filenames are always the same but the column names differs. 

I am working on an AutoCAD to AutoCAD conversion where I am changing the text of text and Mtext objects and writing out the changes. The AutoCAD writer uses the input file as a template as the only parts I want to change are the text elements (whether text/mtext/attributes in a block). I am having a problem where Text entities (autocad_entity = autocad_text) are being written as MText entities in the output which is effecting the positioning of the text. This is happening for all text entities (autocad_text), where I have and haven't made changes Is there any reason why text entities would be written as Mtext, when they are clearly defined as text entities in FME? Hello, is there a way to test an integer's length within the TestFilter transformer? I have an integer column that can be freely populated with values, but I need to flag rows that are not 6 characters long. Is there some operation in the Test Clauses window that I can use to test for this?

I ve got some problems with expandig of an Zipfile. With HTTPCaller i download the (free available) file "https://service.geo.llv.li/download//gwr/gwr_li.zip". after then i try it to expand with ZipExtractor. As a result it rejects it always with the error_message: "Unexpected error: File name in directory 'gwrli_Spaltenerklärung.pdf' and header b'gwrli_Spaltenerkl\\xe4rung.pdf' differ." How can i resolve this?

I am creating a flow that runs a number of tests on an Excel spreadsheet and spits out the results into another Excel spreadsheet. The incoming spreadsheets will almost always be in different folders (same parent directory, but each project has its own folder within that), and I would like the outgoing spreadsheets to go to the same folder as input, and have the same filename but with the suffix of 'FME Test Results'. I am currently managing this manually, and wondered if there is a way to do it using FME.I have found several answers that seem to get partway to my goal, but don't seem to fully get there.Thanks,

The data I am working is real time vehicle AVL GPS data that is dumped into a Feature Class using ArcGIS GeoEvent Server. The Point Feature Class has 104 records.  My objective is to have my workspace act as a "listener" and send me an email every day M-F @ 10a letting me know that GeoEvent Server is reading these records.  Of the 104 records (more records are added each month, so 104 is not static), there are 17 that are not the current date so they are routed to Failed in the Tester. There will always be records in this data that are not the current date.  My question relates to the Tester, the way I have my workspace set up now, is if there are no records in Passed and all 104 records are routed to Failed, I will not get an email. Is there another transformer that needs to be added or maybe a parameter change in one of the existing transformers in my workspace? I want to also get an email if no records are routed to Passed, is this possible?
