Hi All,What the best way of reading multiple ArcPro GDBs saved within multiple subfolders? I have looked into the Creator + FeatureReader transformers but can’t get it to work, folder structure as follows:  I would like to read the multiple GDBs form the DATA level and force FME to go through the subfolders. 

Hi, I am trying to simplify .stl file that is a fme_surface.I am trying to get from this to this I have tried MeshSimpifier and Triangulator+MeshSimplifier but it failed 

I have used the 'filecopy' writer. The workbench works fine within FME desktop but when I run as a 'data stream' within FME server I get a message saying 'There was an Error'. See attached screenshot. I guess the question is, is it possible to 'data stream' a PDF. And if it is, should I be using a PDF writer?

hello ,i have detected self intersection with geometry validator does it possible to convert the line that detected to straight line ? I do not need the triangle at image (I have detected the issue location with geometry validator ,but how could I remove the part unwanted that occurs it ) .thanks in advance Fme 2021

I am trying to use attribute, which reprsents search path, to fill in the XML Path in Update section as shown in the screenshot below. But the update is failed. The original value for the element is gone.  From the translation log, I can see the following warnings. But I cannot figure out why it says about “end of file”.  Please can someone shine a light on the issue?Thanks.

Hi, I wanted to very simply use a tester to select all records that had a date in the past week. I have tried everything but it does not seem to work.I have a date field in the correct format, I have also tried other formats via the date/time converter but it does not work. @DateTimeNow()-7 does not work.Anyone have any other suggestions? ThxNathalie

I am working with a workbench that was authored close to 15 years ago. We had to change out the SDE Readers that are pulling in our GIS features. Since changing the reader the text be written to the DGN is coming out in different sizes. I have checked the output in the inspector and although the text is visually different the idgs_text_size attribute is consistent. I have tried to override this with the DGN styler but there is something else going on. Any ideas on how to either assess or fix this would be greatly appreciated. 

Dear,I have a folder with 2208 xml files, approx. 30 GB. I read these files using a File Path Reader followed by an XML reader. From these files I select some features and save them locally. However, with my 16 GB RAM I run into memory issues. I already reduced the amount of data as much as possible within my workbench but still its not enough.Is there a method I read first 10 xml files – process them – save the outcome and go to the next 10 files, like a loop? My second question is whether it will safe memory in case I use a fanout expression or just write one final dataset with the results.My version is: FME 2023.2.1

I have a workspace in FME Flow but I don’t know wich automation it’s used in. How do I find it? We have 75 automations, I don’t want to manually search through them. It hasn’t run in a while so I didn’t find it under Jobs/Completed.

Hi FME people,When creating a reader or writer, our typical procedure involves selecting an SDE database connection, such as SDE.EDIT.R. Following this selection, we establish a link to a deployment parameter, assigning it a local value. In this scenario, the local value corresponds to the database connection SDE.EDIT.R.    This works well, except when we try ‘view source data’ or ‘view written data.  The connection is set to the deployment parameter but the local value is not used instead.Anyone who is experiencing the same thing? We use:FME Form: 2023.2.2FME Flow: 2023.2.2Thanks a lot,Francis

Hi I am not sure what to do at this stage and was wondering if anyone had any insight. I tried to enrol to do an online course and created an account using my work email. I have not received any emails to verify the account and I have tried to have a verification and password reset email sent with no luck either. I have sent an email to info@FME with no response as well. I tried to recover my old password from a FME account using my home email address as well with no response. Email addresses are correct, and I have check SPAM folders. Any suggestions on who to contact at this stage? Regards Mark

My workbench creates a number of excel spreadsheets. Sometimes it fails due to users having one of the spreadsheets open when the workbench runs during the night. Though that spreadsheet cannot be updated due to the lock, it would be very useful to still be able to update the other spreadsheets rather than the entire workbench stopping completely.Can a writer error be bypassed or ignored?

FME Configuration: FME_PRODUCT_NAME is 'FME(R) 2023.2.1.0' HelloFeatureHolder is suppose to wait for all feature to arrive then process then further but as shown below it’s not working.I’m basically re-adjusting the first part of my FME App.Get Path location / file extension Hold Features Check if file is correct then proceed further File is correct then check is .SHP file extension existsWhen I run my workspace, it stops here:  Not sure what’s going on or if I misunderstood the process.Thanks

Hi,I’ve got a strange issue.I am using a FeatureMerger to match values from a lookup table.Then I use a DuplicateFilter to check that all the terms from the lookup table are used. And strangely, with certain non ASCII caracters, there are duplicates coming out the Unique port ! Another strange thing is that these duplicates in Unique port dont appear when I check for duplicates immediately on the lookup table.So what happens in the FeatureMerger that makes the DuplicateFilter dysfunction ? Here’s what the Excel lookup table looks like. When I replace the non ASCII caracter, the problem doesn’t appear.What to do ? 

Hi All,Is there any way to read multiple GDBs saved on the company Sharepoint? Does the Sharepoint need to be publicly accessible? I get an error when try to use the URL link and load the GDB,  Also I would like to know a workaround to read individual GDBs, Any Ideas? The GDBs are saved in individual folders so need to iterate thought these, example of the folder structure below: Example of the individual content folder below:  

Hi Guys..I need your Guidance to accomplish above scenario..I was able read a GDB and Excel as source from Feature Reader and also able to do required Results Now , At attribute Manager , I want to add around 52 new field names along with field alias from importing it throughexcel and this would be new field and then i want to write a GDB , so All field along with other New fields which has alias name to be written to GDB.. How can i do this ? Anyone , Kindly Guide..Thanks

Hi All, I had a case with FME flow where I could create automations and run them, but received an error when trying to turn them off : We fixed the issue by updating the JDBC drivers and everything worked fine.I then moved to a different environment (production) and assume that this fix had been applied but it hadn’t. I created an automation and then could not turn it off, so I deleted it.When I look at the automations page I can see that there are no automations, but the one I setup and deleted is still running jobs on its scheduled interval (every 10 minutes). I had to delete the workspaces from FME flow to avoid these from running. Does anyone know if I can go into the FME SQL Database and delete the automation from one of the tables? I don't know if there is any dependencies on Primary/Foreign keys and don’t want to corrupt any tables. If this is possible could you please advise the table as I don’t have access to view these and our IT team will want to know exactly what to delete

I am trying to insert a new item/child into an existing XML element. I want to add: <keyword>USA</keyword> to either the top of this list of keywords (Note this is part of a larger XML document.) I’ve tried to use the XMLUpdater to no avail after a substantial Forum search. Here’s where I am at with the XMLUpdater:I assume my XML/XQuery expression is the issue.  Hello,  I am updating an existing AGOL Hosted Feature Service with changes in a File Geodatabase. The workbench in the screenshot is what I am using. The Feature Service updates no issues, and it does update the feature service. But I have a question:When I add 1 new feature in the file gdb (Updated FGDB Feature Class Bookmark in screenshot), I run the workbench and in the ChangeDetector it shows 1 record Inserted and 238 records updated for a total of 239 records; The only change I made was to add 1 new feature (which I expect to be in Inserted), but why would there be 238 records in Updated in the ChangeDetector when I only Inserted a single record and Updated zero records, should these 238 “Updated” records be in Unchanged?I then reran the workbench it showed 239 records in Updated (which includes the one I added in the 1st run), but I Updated zero records so I would assume these 239 records should be in Unchanged?  The ChangeDetector Parameters I am using is in the screenshot. 

Hello everyone,I'm facing a challenge in processing data in Excel and I'm seeking assistance. I need a method to search in one Excel table for entries that contain values from another Excel table and then create a new table with the found entries.Specifically, I want to search an Excel table (Table A; 8 collumns) for certain keywords. These keywords are located in a separate Excel table (Table B; 1collumn). When any of the keywords are found in Table A, I'd like to create a new table with these entries.I would greatly appreciate any advice, tips, or examples that could help me solve this issue.Thank you very much in advance for your help! 

Is there a way, similar to AttributeExposer, I can import the columns from a CSV file and use that to identify what columns to keep? I’m reading a number of CSV files into a workspace with different attributes for 3 different file types and there are over 300+ columns. A picklist approach is a bit cumbersome.

Hi, I have many polygons with height attribute. I need to dissolve the adjacent polygons and keep the max and min height of polygons dissolved. The problems it’s the quantity of polygones that are dissolved it’s random, can be 2, 5, 50, 100 or more. I made a dissolve with generate list, then a ListSorter but then I don’t know how to get automatically the min and max. I think to use attributeCreator with Arithmetic Editor after the ListSorter but I don’t know how to set it to get systematically the min and max of entities dissolved Thanks

Hi, I tried it with a mod counter,  Inputs seem to work but no output at all comes out of the custom transformer. I am passing all attributes (not many anyway) into the custom transformer. It makes no difference  I am trying to add a Z value to each point (frorm vertices). With the TIN I get a much cleaner result than with a raster, but it slows down the entire process x4. Thanks in advance for any suggestion.
