Hi, When I try to overwrite a layer in AGOL using the AGOL Feature Service Writer it creates a duplicate feature layer, with a different feature ID. I need to overwrite as there is a schema change in the data and i’m trying to avoid creating a new feature layer as we’ll have to re-configure the downstream map services.I ran the same workbench on a different environment and it had no issues overwriting the layer I was pointing at. Any ideas on how to get this to overwrite?I’ve attached a screenshot of the settings I'm using 

​Hello guys, Damjan here,i have problems with my FME process so i need your help.  Task:I have 1 dwg file with 6 polylines (3 pairs), each pair must go to PROCES (process makes a polyline between 1 pair, that's fine all works), then process must save this polyline in dwg and go to start for next pair.Shema: FME:DWG GRT: Each polyline has an attribute id which represent pairs (for example: 2 polylines (grt_dt & grt_lt) have the same id which means they are 1 pair), the second attribute is Description (DET_OPIS): grt_dt = right polyline, grt_lt = left polyline.  I add Creator to make counter, with the Attribute manager making the same attribute like in dwg (GRT), and then connect to tester. My idea is that the tester test if value of counter equals to id. If its true, then go to process, when process finish, save to dwg format and then go to start for next pair.  Problem:I have problem in tester cause i dont know how to setup tester to make him work. If anyone know how to fix that or

Hello,I need to write the xlink:type in an AIXM5 file (see below)  But when I look at the User Attributes of the feature type AirspaceTimeSlice (AIXM5 writer), I can only see 3 parameters of the xlink which can be set: href, role and title.  Anybody knows how to write the xlink:type with the AIXM5 writer ?ThanksAndré

Hi All,I need to concatenate the two values of the same cell into just one line. I’ve been (partially) able to do it by using a StringReplacer but some of the cells show an space which make the StringReplacer not working, see below an example:There’s an space between line 2 and Siding, how can I make the final result ‘CE Siding’ ?  

I want to compare different methods of generating TIN-models. To assess the quality of each model, I want to calculate the vertical distance between each point in the input point cloud and the generated TIN in order to later calculate for example the RMSE. Any tips on an approach?

I am using FTPCaller. If I add the Emailer to the rejected port will it send me an email if the output gets kicked to the rejected port? I would have the Emailer already configured to send me an email. I want to double check with the Community since my workbench will stop running if the FTPCaller output is rejected. Here is a screenshot of a mock up workspace (note I have not set up the transformer parameters yet hence you see the red gear icons.) Not shown below, I know it will send me an email if the FTPCaller output is sent to Output.  

I want to write lines into an existing PostGIS table, which has default values for most of the columns. With FME PostGIS Writer, when executing the process, I have errors returning (in french):Bulk copy failed on table 'XXX' using delimiter ':'. Hi FME community,I’ve been tasked with trying to get the metadata we hold (in a SQL server database) into an INSPIRE-compliant format.I was hoping that we could use the metadata we currently hold (Title, Abstract, Temporal Extents etc) and run it through an INSPIRE XSD template. However, it’s pretty overwhelming when I look at the XSD templates (which I got from here - application-schemas/schemas at main · INSPIRE-MIF/application-schemas · GitHub) as there are so many nested parts (see screenshot). Is there a relatively straightforward method I could use for each topic of data (be they addresses, parcels of land etc - which have their own topic under the INSPIRE framework) which could be joined in FME and output an XML file which can be imported to the data in ArcPro? It seems a bit convoluted but I’m just trying to get an idea of where to go from here with a large shift in metadata storage and how we will be using it at my organisation going forward. Thanks

Hello, I am trying to update the date field records of a feature class using arcpy update cursor, but I am getting the following error (text in bold), please let me know If I am missing anything :   Field Name : e_result_datetimeField Values : 20230803081554 Field datatype : Date Also, want to mention that I am able to update the string, double data type fields using updatecursor in FME with no issues - it’s only with date data type I am facing the problem. Python Exception <RuntimeError>: The value type is incompatible with the field type. Hi ,Is there any way to use an ifc file containing ifc objects, extract a specific object , then put it in precise locations in another ifc file that I am creating in the workflow?for exemple if I am interested in using this ifcDoor object that is inside a file1.ifc file : and the positions where i want to put this ifcDoor are where the 2d doors (the red lines) of my input file are located (my input is a dwg file containg 2D doors):All I can do now is just extrude those 2d doors , add ifc attributes to them , and them write them to ifcDoor writer .  but they don't even look like doors :i want the doors to look like the ones in my file1.ifc file (their color , geometry , texture )I'm searching for a way to do it , but I am afraid that it is impossible .

Hi AllI am trying to set up a workspace to react when a change is made to an ESRI Enterprise Geodatabase table but cant figure out how to watch for changes on the table.I could set up a scheduled task to read all of the data and then a change detector to update a further table but that doesn't seem a wise use of resources, particular if there are no changes.SO any ideas how to watch this database table for changes efficiently??Regards   

Are there any free options out there to use an instance of FME Server (Flow) to be used only for Safe Software’s tutorials or training?

Our FME License server run on LMTools by Flexera doesn't read the option file safe.opt.The safe .log file gives the following log:xx:xx:xx (safe) CANNOT OPEN options file "="The safe.opt file is at the same location as the license safe.lic file. Rereading the license file doesn’t seem to work.I don’t see anywhere else in LMTools where you can configure this. Is their a command line tool with lmutil or lmgrd that adds the option file to the license server config?  

Hello FME community, I have a workspace which I always run with quick translator. Since my user parameters are never going to be changed, is there a way that I can simply double-click on this file and it runs with quick translator without the need to click OK or press Enter to confirm the user parameters? 

Hi,I have data from the WFS address, for parcels of land. I need to perform an additional check in which it will be checked if some of parcels are not duplicated. That is, I need to detect if there are two polygons, one on top of the other, in my layer in WFS in one place. Please give me some suggestions.

I have two Excel Files. You can see from the screenshot, in the Visual Preview, I need to compare 95137 and 95138 in a Tester. Before I can do this, I need to “move” 95137 to row 1 (highlighted in yellow in the screenshot below) and have only one row in the table not two, what is the best way to make this happen?   

Hello!Here is my problem:I have a SDE db (let’s call it T1) with field “date_change” (type: date). I also have a table (let’s call it T2) that has a filed “sync_date” (type: date).I am trying to make a query where I select all features from T1 where “date_change” is equal or greater than T2 “sync_date”. I am using a FeatureReader and trying to apply it on the where clause. However, my query keeps coming blank. I think the syntax is wrong (WHERE clause: “date_change” >= “sync_date”). Anyone has any suggestions?Thank you in advance!

Good morning,  I'm currently facing a really weird issue. In my workbench I have a Reader that is loading a quite large Excel file, containing multiple tabs. I decided to remove all the unwanted data from the Excel sheet and keep only the tab I really need.  When I try to update the Reader feature types the Excel tabs that I just removed keep showing! I have tried adding this Excel sheet to a new workbench; same result.  What I've tried so far: - Adding the Reader to a new workbench in 2018.1 and 2019 beta. - Purged temporary files in FME. - Restarting FME / computer - Ran Windows disk cleanupNothing helped, I'm still seeing the tabs I deleted.   Cheers, Ed

I thought I knew how to do this but it broke for some reason. My workspace has a GDB that contains a feature dataset that has domains assigned to a few of the feature classes and it also has topology. I set up a simple transformer to sort and do an area calc. Then, I need to write back to that same GDB while keeping the domains. I recently lost the domains assignment and when I tried to update the workbench now it fails to write anything. I've tried multiple methods and each has a failure like 'cannot delete layer that has topology' or 'cannot make edits out of an edit session'. How should I set up my writer? I'm not sure I want to overwrite existing if I can help it.

Relatively newbie here.I think my question is simple but I am just struggling with finding a query for it. I have a table in an SDE. An example of the structure:object_id        job_id          update_start                               status1                     xxx              2/15/2024 13:00:00                  Success2                     xxx              2/20/2024 13:00:00                  Success3                     xxx              2/25/2024 13:00:00                  Fail I am using a FeatureReader to read this table and I need to extract the most recent succesful run from this table (i.e. in this case only row 2). I am using the where clause but it keeps returning me blank and I ran out of ideas. Any help is appreciated!Regards,

I am trying to post an AGOL attachment (i.e. an image) to a Cityworks Work order using the HTTP caller. My goal is to post a unique image to a unique work order (i.e. an image of a sidewalk crack for a sidewalk work order, a pothole image for a pothole work order etc.). The issue starts with my file. I am using AttributeFileWritter to write the file. I use a variable from the feature layer to name my output file (i.e. @Value(WorkorderID).jpeg). This writes to my output directory with no issues. When I go to try and upload this file, when I feed it the PATH + file name + file extension it results in an error “HTTP/FTP Transfer: Failed to open file for resource upload”.  When I explicitly “Select” the file it will upload without issues.  My workflow is as followsI write the image file  I make the callMy body call This body call is what throws the error. Hi FME community,I am currently developing a validation script to compare two datasets derived from different versions of the same model, exported as .csv files from Navisworks.The script aims to ensure that the values for Translation X, Y, Z, and Rotation Axis X, Y, Z remain consistent across each version of the model. For instance, the .dwg file "PBD-ALG-SITE-EQP-ACD.dwg" from 27/02/2024 should exhibit identical translation and rotation values when compared to the version from 06/03/2024.Upon confirming that all values are consistent across different versions, the script will assign a "Pass" status, or “Fail” if a value is inconsistent.I'm seeking guidance on the most effective method to achieve this.Cheers.  

Hi,I have a SQLExecutor with a dynamic SQL Server query like:SELECT * FROM value(@table_name)Obviously, as it is a dynamic query I don't expose any attribute.Then, I connect the schema and generic outputs to a featureWriter (CSV).When I run the workspace, It finish suscessfully but It doesn't generate the CSV file.The same problem if I try to generate the CSV file with a dynamic writer instead of a featurWriter.However, if I replace the SQL Executor with a dynamic featureReader, the CSV is generate correctly.I need a SQL Executor because the query will be a bit more complex.I think It is something related with schema but I missing something.Could anyone help?
