I've been trying to create isochrones from a grid of points (shp, 1000m apart) that have the total journey times already associated with them (number format). I tried a 3D forcer and contourgenerator, but I just can't get it to work. I've popped a screenshot below. I'd be most grateful for some tips.Thanks!Renee

FME 2018.0.1.0 64-bit (18310).I'm using FeatureJoiner to merge data coming from several ArcSDE layers (left) and 2 layers from 2 different File Geodatabases (right). ALL the source layers are British National Grid (27700), but the coordinate system parameter in the Readers was <not set>. The translation failed at the FeatureJoiner with the message "Rejecting input feature(s) with coordinate system 'OSGB-GPS-2015' that do not match the first feature coordinate system '_OSGB-GPS-2015_0'".If I set the coordinate system to "OSGB-GPS-2015" on all the Readers, the translation works with this warning: "NOT changing coordinate system of reader identified by keyword `GEODATABASE_SDE_1' from `OSGB-GPS-2015' to `_OSGB-GPS-2015_0' -- mapping file setting of `OSGB-GPS-2015' overrides coordinate system `_OSGB-GPS-2015_0' read from file"Is there any real difference in OSGB-GPS-2015 and _OSGB-GPS-2015_0? Or is FeatureJoiner

I get a Point Cloud from Multicopter Surveying (Photogrammetry), stored in E57 File. This Point Cloud should be clipped to an Area of Interest, stored in Revit Model. So I exported the Model with the Revit Exporter to '*.rvz' and IFC4. I read the Geometry from IfcBeam. After this I create the Hull of the Geometry (2D) and send it to the Clipper. When I inspect the geometry with the FME Inspector it looks correct. After the clip-operation the point cloud is cutted wrong on to the lower right corner.I tested also the geometry extraction with SurfaceReplacer in combination with 2D Forcer, same problem... To test the correct position of the two parts I inspect it.Workspace looks like this (rotater and offsetter beacuse there is a bad georeference):Should I use other transformers for the Point Cloud clip-operation? Hi,I've added a new Excel-writer (it happened also with the existing one). Now I choose the Excel-writer on the Feature type-Parameters-Panel and FME breaks down.???Is this bug already fixed in a newer Version of FME2017? I can't use FME 2018, because we work with FMEServer 2017.Thanks, Frauke

Good morning,I was wondering what the best practice is for transferring attributes, not geometry, from one feature to another? For instance, I want the ID number from one feature to be placed in another feature, to show correlation, but keep the original geometry.Thank you!David

Hi all,I am having a problem when using the data inspector..Often when scrolling through results data will just 'drop out' - never to reappear/refresh.I have to manuall hit the refresh button an often this will not rectify 'lost area'.Please see attached image.Note the rows are blank yet when you look at the window on the right side of the screen you can see the data values actually exist in the table.Thanks for viewing my question.Any ideas on where to trouble shoot this issue would be much appreciated.ThanksLenny in Australia

This workbench connects to an Oracle database and exports data (Oracle Spatial) to an Esri Shapefile. It works.I published the workbench to my FME Cloud server/instance.I'd like to run and schedule the workbench from FME CloudHowever the next error shows when I'm trying to run the workbench from FME Cloud: ORA-12154: TNS:could not resolve the connect identifier specifiedWhy does the connection works locally but refuses to work from FME Cloud?Can you point me in the right direction? Hey!I have created a workspace that downloads a zip file containing a shp everytime the data has been updated. I now want to compare the shp in the zip file with the older shp on a ArcSDE database to see if a column has been added or removed. I have tried using a FeatureReader to read the shp in the zip but I don't know how to do the comparising step. The goal is to get notified via the Emailer when the tables has been changed(not indivudal values). What is the best method?

Hello there we get this shapefile, the project EPSG is correct but it not in the right location, it should show in Saudi Arabia we used all reprojection transformer available but it didn't work anyway to fix it The shapefile is only sample data from the WFS we are reading Thanks

Wonder if there is a direct way to use a reader or feature reader to read a zipped up fgdb stored on google drive. One options is to use google drive connector to download the fgdb to the local drive. Thanks!

Hello FMEers,  I have been asked to present to a group of Information Management Specialists on the safe software suite of products. In particular they are interested in how FME compares with the SSIS. SSIS is another ETL tool used within the Microsoft SQL Server environment. Having never used SSIS this is a tall order as my default for any ETL processing has been FME. Is there anybody out there that can give me a few advantages and disadvantages of FME compared to other ETL tools in particular SSIS. Any sort of information will help. I have set of polygons which is county boundaries. And i need to dissolve three nearest neighbors / adjacent polygons into one. and this has to continue till loop ends. But there is no any relationship attribute to group three polygons. in the attached , I manually selected three adjacent boundaries for the methodology how it should workHow can we achieve this using fme?

Hi!recently a FMEServer managed by us stopped working after an automatic security check. The service was not able to start anymore, and I got the windows-error-popup with the message: "Windows could not start the FME Server Core service on HOST. Error 2: The system cannot find the file specified."The problem was the registry-key for starting the services: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/SYSTEM/CurrentControlSet/services/FME Server Core where the value with the image path was notin quotes: C:\Program Files (x86)\fmeserver\Server\WindowsService\FMEProcessMonitorCore.exe -s FME Server Core As unquoted service paths can be a risk in Windows, the radarservice automatically set the path in quotes, as there were blanks in theinstallation path (...\Program Files (x86)\...). But it set the whole expression in quotes, including the "-s". "C:\Program Files (x86)\fmeserver\Server\WindowsService\FMEProcessMonitorCore.exe –s" So because of that, the service could not be started as it was looking fort hefile "C:\

I am noticing that even if I set my workspace in Workbench to terminate on rejected features, it runs without error on FME Server. Is the rejected feature handling a workbench-only feature? I am expecting to see the same behavior on FME Server. I'm using 2017.1 in my testing. Thanks.

Hi.  I want to remove, or make transparent all areas where Band 0 and Band 1 are both 0. The rasterbandnodatasetter only looks at band 0 and sets those cells to nodata, which also removes information from the raster image. Is there a way to remove just the black areas (i.e. wher band 0 and 1 = 0)? I have tried to clip the image with a polygon but the black areas still remain. Is there a way to set the band values as attributes?  

Hi FME'ers, on the FeatureMerger, I get the rejection code 'EXTRA_REFERENCE_FEATURE. Does anyone know what this could mean?The problem occurs on a Supplier object, coming from AutoCAD Map3D, with OD objects. It merges with an Oracle table, using two attributes. When checking visually, the attributes should match, but it doesn't come that far because of the rejection.

I have a point file containing instructions along routes, lets call this the major decision points. Each collection of points belong to a route and has a route id. This data is all contained within one file, which can be made of points belong to numerous routes.I then have another file containing points for all junctions along the route, again this data has a route ID that is the same as the previous file for the given route. Lets call these the minor decision points and again this file is made up of points belonging to different route IDs.The problem is that I need to remove the minor decision points when they are duplicates for major decision points, however, these should only be removed if they belong to the same route ID. To complicate maters some of these routes will overlap.My initial idea was to create a loop transformer that processes features that belong to the same route ID, and then remove the duplicate minor decision points this way. You shouldn't notice anything but lots has changed under the hood.Encryption, private and public… New in FME 2017 is how encryption is used with the database connection file where your connection information is stored.We now encrypt for public access as well as private access. In the past anyone with FME installed could read the connection file as FME contained a global encryption key to access the database connection file. This didn’t give them access to see passwords but they could use the connection information in FME.Now, public access to the connection file is controlled by giving FME access to a public key file. By default this public key is stored in the same location as the database connection file so we do recommend moving that to a secondary location where FME can be pointed to in order to access it. Hi guys,I've been trying to auto-generate cadastral parcels using the start and end coordinates and radius values, and the process is working, but the python caller seems to be using the wrong centre point to generate the arcs in some instances (as there are always two potential points in trig). I'm using the init(twoPoints, radius, counterClockwise) function, where the sign of the radius indicates direction. I'm attaching a workbench which contains the generation of a section of blocks and the corresponding section area, and the outer boundaries of the two should match, but don't. I believe this is a trigonometry issue, the math behind the caller isn't working for an arc that's greater than a semi-circle. Does anyone have any ideas on how to fix this? My organisation keeps its data in epsg:314685783, which is an extension of the GK4-epsg:31468 with the epsg:5783 altitude reference system ( https://epsg.io/5783 )How can I read such data from an oracle db and convert it to epsg:31468 for further storage in a postgis database.Currently my server job fails with "ORACLE Reader: No exceptions match for SRID `314685783' was found -- determining coordinate system using Well Known Text"
