I have some DWG files with data drawn as blocks with attributes. When I look at these in Data Inspector, I notice that the block attributes shows up in two ways:I've read through https://knowledge.safe.com/articles/59335/autocad-dwg-block-attribute-extraction.html and see that while I can access the attribute info from the attribute lists (top marking) it would be a lot easier to just grab the info as shown at the bottom. The problem is I can't find this via e.g. the attribute exposer. Anyone got a good idea?(Demo DWG attached)

Hi,I'm trying to merging different WMS features and images (Image Fetcher) together using a RasterMosaicker transformer. All layers from our local WMS server are merged together correctly but i cannot get it to merge with other WMS layers. The result should be a "what you see is what you get" PNG using the overlapping Values "last" option. I added a .fmwt file with an example.The PNG is a save from my WMS server that correspons to the same coordinates as the WMS in the example. My first problem was that the incoming WMS contain more bands so i had to generate a palette using RasterPaletteGenerator. After this my error  is:My result failed due to: The palette nodata value '255,255,255,0' of the selected band '1:0' does not match the palette nodata value 'NULL' of the corresponding band in the mosaicked rasteror after trying to correct it with the RasterBandNodataSetterThe palette nodata value '255,255,255,0' of the selected band '1:0' does not match the palette nodata value '112,113,115

Using NeighborFinder and merged two types of lines representing the upper and lower part of the slope in 2d (where bottom's points ware Line Base and Top were candidates) Now I would like to do it in 3d. I've used CoorinateExtractor and 3DForcer, so I have a pit height for short lines, but now I have no idea how to change the direction towards the top.

I am looking to capture all features that are duplicated in dataset. The duplicated filter removes duplicates but keeps one unique feature. I need to capture the unique one that has been duplicated as well. Can anyone help?

I'm trying to convert an XML file to the data I need.Reading the file as text_line_data gives better results as reading it as XML. Probably because FME does not recognize the schema.The problem I encounter is that sometimes the attribute I need is a single child attribute. But sometimes it exists multiple times.Using an XMLFlattener and exposing the child element gives an attribute when it exists 1 time. But with multiple occurrences I need to use a ListExploder to create the attribute.I now use a Tester to test if the child attribute is empty and then reroute the data to ListExploder. But I doubt there is a simple option I don't see?

I have searched through almost every question relating to optimizing memory in the Knowledge Centre. With my computer set up, there technically shouldn't be any memory issue.The workbench is to read 15 non spatial and 2 spatial tables from Oracle and write the same table but into 3 different file formats - ESRI Geodatabase (File Geodb ArcObjects), TAB and shapefile. The reader is a SQLCreator connecting to the Oracle database with a statement ' SELECT * FROM PRODUCT.$(STATE)_HOUSE.I have created a Published Parameter $(STATE) so I can run the same workbench 9 times. The parameter is to specify what State Oracle Table I want to read from. Hello,I have some points, and those points have a POINT_NUMBER attribute. POINT_NUMBER is not unique.I have some lines, and those lines have a LINE_NUMBER attribute. LINE_NUMBER is not unique.For each point, I have to search for the closest line where POINT_NUMBER=LINE_NUMBER.Then I have to draw a perpendicular segment from the point to the corresponding line, ending on the line.Thank you for your help

Hi, everyone, I'd like to do some math calculations in FME, just like Field Calculator in ArcGIS. I'm trying to calculate reminder and rounding numbers, but I'm not sure which math operator to use. Here're some examples:Reminder: 5÷3, result:2; 10÷6, result:4Rounding:5÷3, result:1; 10÷6, result:1And I also want to add zeros before some results if their digits are less than 3.I can get it done in ArcGIS by using python, reminder operator is %, rounding operator is //, and zfill function to fill zeros. How can get the same result in FME? I've read the Math Operators help document, it only has % as reminder, no rounding and zfill. I have over 600000 rows of record to calculate, when I do this in ArcGIS, the software will just crash. Please give me a hand.

Hi all,Does anyone have a tip on how to fill the walls of a 3D object? The idea is to create a mesh from a DEM using SurfaceModeller and then extend the object to 0 elevation or to the lowest point of the input DEM so that it looks it was all cut from the Earth surface by a sharp cookie cutter. The closest I got was to input the BB of the raster as Breakline input into the SurfaceModeller but it won't result into straight lines as the SurfaceModeller seems to cut off a little from the edges of the DEM.Thanks!Jan

I have a working standalone python program that uses the following code to load a DLL:  SourceFolder = os.path.dirname(__file__) giqdll = WinDLL(os.path.join(SourceFolder, "LibGIQ.dll"))  When I try to use this in my PythonCaller I get the following error:  Python Exception <NameError>: global name '__file__' is not defined  Is there an FME way of finding the full path of the fmx file?  Thanks,  Paul Michell

I'm trying to get to the bottom of this non-spatial data issue and am racking my brain to no avail...I have a table of data that looks as follows...IDFacilityCode1A001,D0471D047,P001,G00512D001,D047,F0012F001,G0092P001,A0013G0053G0054A001Notice that the FacilityCode may be duplicated between records for any particular ID. I need my final table to just be a DISTINCT list of IDs with an alphabetized list of unique FacilityCodes, so it should look like this...IDFacilityCode1A001,D047,P001,G0052A001,D001,D047,F001,G009,P0013G0054A001Theoretically, I'm thinking I might be able to use regex to extrapolate the unique FacilityCodes including the comma-separated values for the records with multiple FacilityCodes (with a StringSearcher? Not even sure what my regex would look like), then a ListDuplicateRemover, a ListSorter (to alphabetize), then a ListConcatenator to bring my list back to a single attribute.I'm not even certain that could all work correctly while maintaining a groupi

A 2D-polygon that i want to extrude to a max height that I've calculated with a statistic calculator. Now i want to add the attribute with the height I've calculated to the 2D-polygon so i can use it as teh vertica ldistance to extrude withe the extrude transformer.How can I add an attribute with a attribute value to a polygon?

So I have a footprint of a building as a polygon. I want to generalize the border of that polygon by either clipping away thin parts of it or removing canals in it (not holes for that i use DounutHoleExtractor).The process i want can be examplified as follows:->->So basically if the with of a line is less then 2 meter i want to smooth it out. Hi everyoneI have a question regarding the SDE Writer (Geodatabase SDE) in FME (FME 2017). There are some issues regarding geometry problems, e.g. self-intersecting polygons cannot be inserted into an Oracle Database with SDE (ERROR |An error occurred while attempting to insert a row into the table 'XXX' using a cursor. The error number from ArcObjects is: '-2147215968'. The error message from ArcObjects is: {Linestring or poly boundary is self-intersecting}).How can this problem be addressed? (Using PostGIS, these geometries can be inserted normally) I tested the GeometryValidator transformer, which seems not to be the right way though: sometimes the self-intersecting geometries are detected and sometimes they’re not detected (!). After repairing these geometries using the GeometryValidator, there is another error while inserting the data into the DB (ERROR |An error occurred while attempting to insert a row into the table 'XXX' using a cursor. Hi,As far as I can see, it's not possible to open a FTP based dataset directly in a reader (MapInfo TAB) ?And FTPCaller only allows a single file to be downloaded at any time ?I have multiple folders with multiple datasets (consisting of multiple files) to import, and doesn't want to do this one file at a time.The optimal solution would be to open the datasets with a wildcard directly in a reader. Just like how you can within a ZIP.How to proceed ?Cheers.

Hi,I've just moved an existing process that writes to a Geomedia Access Warehouse from FME 2016.1 to 2017.1. Everything else is the same. And yes, both are run in 32 bit.It seems to me, that the writing of this is very much slower than it used to be. The previous process (which also writes to an SQL Server) used to take less than an hour to complete, now it cannot finish within two !I just ran the process manually, and especially the writing to GMAW seemed very slow to watch.Has anyone else run into similar issues ?My machine is Windows 10 Pro.Cheers, Lars
