I am inserting entries in two Oracle tables. I want to relate the two tables based on primary key (ID). This ID is generated as a sequence in the writer. Is there a way I can get the expected "netxval" ID, so I can set the relation ID-attribute before insertion? Or can I do this in another way?

Hi,I'm investigating the impact that the move to remove https support for TLS1.1 and below may have on my processes running in fme desktop and server.Does anyone know what http clients the httpcaller uses?I assumed it was the client installed on the OS, but i'm running fmeserver/desktop on a windows2008R2 server with IE8 installed. If i look at a TLS1.2 only site using IE8 on this server it complains like mad because i'm trying to use TLS1.0, but if i use the httpcaller from inside fmedesktop and server it connects just fine using TLS1.2. Leading me to deduce FME installs and uses it's own client. I would like to know what it is. (libcurl_fme.dll probably has something to do with it? i also noticed an ssl certificate in the install dir.)It must pick up internet proxy details from the default browser though right?regards,Nick(specifically i'm currently running FME 2015.0, but i'm looking to upgrade to 2018.1)

Hi there,I've been toying a lot with rasters lately, but I've hit a bit of a snag. I need to create a raster from shape files that has a resolution based on another step that takes place in my workbench. I'll explain:So first thing I have is a set of polyline geometries. In quite few steps (BoundingBoxAccumilator ->GeometryCoarcer ->Chopper ->LengthCalculator-> StatisticsCalculator) I know what the longest and shortest edge is of the bounding box of my geometry, by using the Minimum and Maximum based on the lengths calculated. Anyway, this is just to give some context, it is not the problem area. I did inspect this output and I do get for example Minimum:1000, Maximum 1500.I also have a FeatureReader separately attached to the BoundingBoxAccumilator mentioned above, which calls a WMS layer and outputs a raster based on the inside of the bounding box. Naturally this will also have a Rows/Columns of 1000x1500 as it uses the same bounding box as my geometries.Now t

We have a need to read some spatial data that is zipped up, but several of the zips are then nested inside another zip, just to make things fun. Like this:c:\\temp\\top.zip\\1.zip\\1.gmlc:\\temp\\top.zip\\2.zip\\2.gmlFME can read say GML from inside a Zip, but not GML from a Zip inside a Zip. Anyone got any magic to unpack the top level Zip? I suspect the answer is Python, perhaps as either a PythonCaller or Startup script and then I could use a FeatureReader to get at the data at the next level.Seems a bit contrived but its a genuine requirement as its the way a product is shipped. 1 zip file was clearly not enough!Thanks

Hi everyone,In my organization we have some users of FME desktop and up till now I have done manual installations on every computer. But now I would like our technicians to deploy it automatically. But they are have trouble with the msi-file that can be downloaded on Customer downloads page. Is there an other msi-file that doesn´t hold 3 other msi-files or an exe-file somewhere for download? 2018 and 64-bit version is the one I´m looking for.Thanks in advanceJenny

Hello everybody,I´m trying to find way, how to write geometry in AIXM in situation, where I have to merge 4 tables to gain geometry. Concretely - I have prepared dataset to write into AIXM format, Vertical Structures feature type. But according to AIXM model settings, I have write geometry into Geometry:ElevatedPoint object, not directly to VerticalStructure object.I checked also the FME demo here: https://knowledge.safe.com/articles/1312/aixm-xml-and-gml-formats-eu-airports-demo.html, but there only one simple relationship between AirportHeliport object and ElevatedPoint. Hello,I'm using the PointOnPoint Overlayer to find if any points overlap. When I use the transformer and let the workbench run, I get an attribute value of _overlap: 72, for each individual point. None of the points overlap (see attached picture). I thought I would get an overlap value of 1 because the points do not overlap. Is there a reason why each point is getting an overlap of 72?*the total number of points in the file is 72*Thanks! David

Hello allIm trying to Drape 2D FME points, (Which are centre points of trees extracted from LAS data) and trying to drape these points on a Surface model. At the moments all the points are level under by surface. I cant seem to be able to drapeI have tried using the SurfaceDrapper but my points stay the same level. Any ideasThanks in advance

Hello AllIm hoping someone can help me with a particular problem i am having trying to edit a Tin Suface.I have created some FBX files of ground surfaces using point cloud data. Easy However i now want to feed FME a DGN or DWG that contains outlines shapes, that i can use to cut holes in my FBX TinSurface. I feel i have tried everything :( I have tried also to remove the points from the point cloud and remake the mesh, with added holes, but the surface modeller joins the holes back up. eeerrrr!Any help would be much appricated

Hi,I'm doing a bit of testing with OneDriveConnector and Emailer. My workspace writes an Excel file out using FeatureWriter and then uploads that file to OneDrive. I want to insert the '_sharable_link' attribute, created in the OneDriveConnector, into the body text of the Emailer. However, the Emailer appears to get rid of the value in the '_sharable_link' attribute, therefore the hyperlink <a href="@Value(_sharable_link)">Output</a> doesn't work in the resulting email.Has anyone come across this before? Or in the more likely scenario, am I missing something obvious?Thanks!

I'm trying to connect to Oracle cloud for the human resources and financial management services. So far, I am not having any luck. Has anyone been able to set up these connections? If we could connect to the existing EiS reports that would be a fine work around but as far as I can tell we can not have the EiS reports automatically load into a FTP site where we could grab them. We are currently using FME 2017 but are fine upgrading if a new version is needed. Any advice or help wold be greatly appreciated.

I have what seems like a simple thing I need to do. I have a webpage with a java button on it. The result of pressing that button downloads an xls file that is the data I need. I'd like FME to be able to go to that URL and press that button, but I can't figure out how to get the HTTPCaller to hand the java code and then capture any response. Maybe it's not the HTTPCaller I need?I'm pretty new to FME. The URL is inside a fire wall, but it's a basic https URL. Hi Guys,I have a text file that contains both header information with necessary attribute fields and a fixed width set of sequential coordinates with bearing and distances that create the polygons of a cadastre. I need to create the polygons with the attributes attached. If I read in the file as a CAT, I can't find a way to retrieve the attribute information at the topIf I read it as a text file, then split on the ----, I can sort of retrieve the header information as attributes, but then can't figure out how to extract the fixed width stuff into lists. Also, all the the blank spaces are causing me issues in creating a set of headings, especially as the first line of the definition is blanks until you get to the radial, OR the E/N.I was going to try to read these in as a sequential list - ie, each feature is also referencing the one before and the one after... it should be relatively easy to do! I have a set of contourcurves that I want to use in order to create a printed model. In the printed model each curve should be represented by a plate, see example below. I have the contour curves as lines (with z-value) and some of them are connected at the ends with which I can create areas/polygons with the AreaBuilder transformer. Some lines however have loose ends, but I would still like to create the plate discs here. So I created a bounding box with the BoundingBoxAccumulator over the entire input dataset. My idea was then to use this box and the seperate lines (height curves) to create new areas that I then can extrude. Here is an image of my idea (orange area should also include red, blue include both orange and red): But here my knowledge in FME seems to end. Any idea how this problem could be addressed?

My workflow right now is set up to do some calculations on a property boundary then be able to show that property on an aerial image. Where I'm getting stuck is to be able to find a way to set the scale (zoom level) of the google static map so the polygon is centered and at an appropriate zoom level. I'm using the 'google static map fetcher' transformer and have everything working to be able to center the polygon within the google map, just want to find a way to set a scale level to have it adjust to the different size polygons.
