Hello, I would like to use a wildcard within a conditonal statement. But I don't know if this is possible.  For example, I have the following records:MeldingFor object(s) 001, 002 the date dd-mm-yyyy is later than de original date dd-mm-yyyy. For object(s) 001 the date dd-mm-yyyy is later than de original date dd-mm-yyyy. For object(s) 002, 004 the date dd-mm-yyyy is later than de original date dd-mm-yyyy. I would like to use a conditional statement that gives me recors 1 and 3. So in this case it will become: Instead, I would like to use a wildcard, so that I only need one test clause. Because in my dataset a lot more combinations are possible. Is it possible to use a wildcard so that the test clause can become like this? (I know that % doesn't work, but I use it here to give an idea what I would like to accomplish).  Thanks in advance,Eva

Hi, I have a .obj file and a geotiff file, the .obj file is in xy space and the geotiff file is in UTM-48N projection. I am looking for a way to "align" and reproject the .obj file. Is there a way to reproject the .obj file to geospatial coordinates?

Hello,I'm wondering about data showing in the Visual Preview.  Below an example. Two flows of data going to two Inspectors. When I select the SRC_RAW Inspector the Visual Preview shows the SRC_NORMALIZED data. I will have to use the drop down menu in the Visual Preview to retrieve the SRC_RAW data.  That has annoyed me for quite some time now - why can't I just select the Inspector and see the proper data straight away?      Cheers, Ed 

Hello everyone, I need urgent help with my workspace for converting Sketchup to Citygml. Some posts among the forum say that FME wouldn't support the creation of XLinks. Therefore I created my workbench according to this old "How to write Citygml in FME"-Tutorial and used gml_id and gml_parent_id to express the part-whole-relationships. Now I found that if I use the Citygml_feature_types.xml file within the program folder to import the Writer Type, the autocomplete function provides a list attribute called citygml_bounded_by{}.xlink_href. I tried it out and indeed it created XLinks for the gml_ids I gave to it, but how can I manage to create a Solid with only XLinks referencing the BoundarySurfaces? With my current workspace it creates the geometries for the BoundarySurfaces twice + XLinks once.  I hope you guys can help me -- many thanks in advance. Hi team,I was wondering if there was a timeframe to resolve: FMESERVER-14602?I have a number of large number of work spaces which use the Database Connection, whilst this works with Schedules I can work around using that, but would prefer to use Automations as the tags and search functionality is a lot easier to use. Also, are Automations primed to take over from Schedules in the future (i.e. if we're building something new, should we be looking to build workspaces within that space?)

Since I am at a customer, not being able to connect the our license server via vpn, I installed a temporary fixed license. This is installed without issues using the license manager, however, my FME slows down terribly! And with that I mean everything: opening FME Desktop, opening FME Inspector, loading data, running a model, ... I am really not able to work like this. Anyone an idea what is going on here?

Have FME Desktop 2020. It turns out that writing UPRN's into a CSV doesn't work for values above 99.999.999. Have tried all data types in the writer (real64 is the one that FME sets automatically, but have tried String, int64, etc..). Nothing works.Can somebody help me please?  First capture is the output before writing csv (upper workflow):  Second capture is the output after reading the CSV (lower workflow). Notice that there are 14400 records with null UPRN.

I have a sorter, but I do not want it to sort if the first row in Field B has a value. I am guessing this will need a combination of transformers.

Previously I had a crack at anaconda and some GPU accelerated approaches but the amount of back-end stuff necessary to get started go a little too involved.I've gone through your video tute @dmitribagh as well as all the workspaces provided and with some solid hrs. of practice I managed to get all of them working. I am somewhat of an an FME newb with less then 50hrs. of usage at a rough guess.I'm trying to build a model for recognizing houses (roofs) in aerial photography. I've managed to create auto annotations using some footprint data which we have.Idea being that I need a "clean" image of a single house rather than a house surrounded by other houses, and annotations being rectangles sort of forces you to improvise. I have a bunch of negatives of empty lots which I manually created ... ...

This is the final step to some complicated data sorting - so as an example lets say I have the following data: indexequipmentNamesequenceequipCount1a102b103c204b215c316d307d418b429b5310e5011b6412e6113b7514f70 The goal is to get data ordered like this: abbccdd... etc. This works by sorting the sequence column ascending and the equipCount column (unique counter of equipment name) descending. The problem is that if there is a sequence pair that does not contain a zero (both pieces of equipment have appeared before) then its no longer beneficial to sort equipCount descending, instead it needs to be sorted ascending(see index 7 and 8 sequence pair 4, they should not reverse order 2 to 1; and index 11 and 12 sequence pair 6, they should reverse order to be 1 to 4). Again this is all to get the final order to be abbccddbbeebbf. My solution to this was to check if each equipCount value in a sequence pair was not zero, and then to make even numbers = 0, because an even unique count means it is

I installed FME 2020.0.2 (build 20232 -win64) on a Windows Server 2012 R2 Standard 64-bit (6.3, Build 9600) machine.It works fine but throws an error message on exit and I'm concerned it may hide some important unwanted functioning I haven't found out so far. Before installing FME Desktop on our production server we want to make sure everything works as expected, so I can't overlook this apparently minor thing. Why my FME 2020 Doesnot Read IFCSpaces? When reading IFC Step Xml file with Read Ifcspace geometries' to Yes, but still not present in select feature Type. i tried on different IFC Files from Revit in FME 2020.

I have a dataset where want to write separate files based on multiple attributes. From the example below I would like to write a file with all the Jones, another with all the Smith, a third with all the Farmer and a fourth with any Kim. Fanout does not handle multiple attributes and in this case the StringConcatenator trick wont help, since most of the rows would be contributing to separate files. Hi I cant seem to find a way to test files on filesize. It's not a format attribute or something you can import with the files... You can do it with python probably, but I'm not a programmer. (I tried and failed :) ) All I want is: TESTERfilesize > 1 183 000 bytes    

When using a Generic Reader with Guess format from extension, I know it is possible to create a "dummy" resource in the workbench to pass configuration parameters, but how do you set the preferred order of readers that is applied? Say for argument's sake I need to read TAB files using MITAB (not MAPINFO) or SHP files using SHAPEFILE (not ESRISHAPE). I'm not making a judgement on which reader is preferred, rather if you are required to use one that isn't the default, how do you do that?

Hello,  In my workspace, I use LenghtCalculator to have the "Distance" from line. I'd like to have three Numbers after .  I use Stringformatter on this attribute with Format String .3f but all value not have this setting.  Someone can help me to fix this?  I have also tried Attribute Manager with Math Opérator "ROund (Distance, 3). Hello,I want to create a unique numeric ID in a new attribute field from a two-letters string attribute, this way:feature - IDAA - 1AB - 2AC - 3BA - 1BB - 2CA - 1CB - 2 CC - 3 CD - 4etc... I guess I need to count how many times a letter is listed and then create IDS for every count and repeat but I don't know how to do this. Many thanks, Max

When using a SQLCreator or Creator, I can't get the VariableRetriever to attach attributes to the created data. It works correctly with any other data but not the creator(s). Can anyone else replicate this behavior?
