I have a problem trying to access a FTPS server using the FTPCaller. I get an 'SSL connect error' when attempting to connect. The same process works in Filezilla. Can this be done in FME?

Hi all,What's the best way of getting FME to populate an attribute field in ArcGIS geodatabase point feature class A (areas of interest) with the total count of features from dataset B (assets)? I.e. find the total number of assets within 10m distance of sites?I thought the Neighbourhood Finder or Point on Point transformers followed by a Statistics Calculator should do the trick, but can't get it to work.Thank you!

Hello.I have a next situation.I own a list in Excel with the streets of a certain area of Romania (Bacau County)I take the example this streets : AGUDULUI, ALBA IULIA and ALECU RUSSOOn AGUDULUI Street I have the even numbers from 2 to 10 on one side of the street and on the other side of the street are the odd numbers from 5 to 13.Tabel 1.Where:MIN_EVEN – the lowest even number on the streetMAX_EVEN – the highest even number on the streetDCOUNT_EVEN – the number of even numbers appears on the streetMIN-ODD - the lowest odd number on the streetMAX_ODD – the highest odd number on the streetDCOUN_ODD- the number of odd numbers on the streetTabel 2.I would like to create some lines and columns (as I put in Table 2 – but may look different) and I wish to populate with the even numbers also with the odd numbers.Thank you very much.Sorin Duru 

Actually i have to prepare a touristique card so i need to prepare a legend and put some figurative symbols on the map so it will be more descriptif and give the user more information . if someone have any ideas of how to do it please. i'm using a shapefile of a country as a reader and i want to get a shapefile as a writer . thanks

Hello everyoneI am new using FME Workbench and I am having some difficulties. My problem it is related to LAS dataset. I have two lasdatasets from differents providers, the first one is Spanish Geographic Institute and the second one was generated from Agisoft photoscan after processing Drone made ortophotography. I have convertedboth into the same coordintate system, concretely, ETRS89 (the legal one in Spain) and when I trate to fuse both clouds using aggregator, x and y points fix perfectly but Z values has a difference of 50,96 m. I applied too 3D forcer and Offsetter but the results are the same. How I must to proceed in order to fuse both Las dataset without the 50.96m difference in Z field?Thank you very much!

Hi All,I am trying to split the attribute in the text string, which has old and new attributes with same id and then make selection for specific attributes like surface ,highway. Final action is to create the column for each split attribute . Attribute listed in the text string are different every time and not in sequence so i am not sure how i can create columns dynamically. screenshot of the input dataTried solutions : I have tried to do this using the attribute splitter and list expolder and then extracting attribute per columns but now i am getting too many columns for each id.can somebody suggest ?

HiI would like to create two new attributes from a linear WKT text file. I need to create one new attribute for the first pair of coordinates and one new attribute for the last pair of coordinates. (It's critiacl that the number of decimal places is retained)I have managed get this to work in a fashion by using the attribute splitter then attribute creator. As the first pair is always at _list{0} in the list.I have more problem with identiying the last pair of coordinates as there could be over 200 pairs of coordingates in the linear WKT field.I've managed to create a new column that identifies the number of coordinates in the string and thought about using a test filter to split the data by number of coordinate pairs then assing the correct _list{x} value however this isn't practival when I have over 200 variations in the count of pair of coordiantes.Is there a simpler way to extract the first and last pair of coordinates from a sting in the format as below:LINESTRING (440

Hi there! I'm using MapnikRasterizer, PDFStyler and PDFPageFormatter for creating PDF documents.  There is some static text content in my PDFs like Title, Subtitle, Copyright etc. This static text content is created by Creators and the text is defined as Geometry Type:Text and set as Text String. All works fine.  Now, I want to print the current date (today) into the PDF using DateTimeStamper and DateTimeConverter. I formated the date attribute using PDFStyler and connected it to the PDFPageFormatter, but the date (frame) is missing in the resulting PDF.  Any idea how to print the current date into a PDF? For example by replacing the Text String of the Creation instance dynamically by the current date? Or any other way?  Best regards  Oliver

Hi all,I'm trying to create a workflow for creating LoD2 CityGML from a shapefile of building footprints (and forcing a height attribute) and I am struggling with few issues. I would like to have the buildings composed of wall, roof and floor surfaces but I haven't been able to work out how to compose the surfaces within a single building while also generating the relevant semantic feature types for these surfaces. I'm aiming for something similar to what I want is the LoD2 sample in CityGML 2.0 examples: http://schemas.opengis.net/citygml/examples/2.0/building/Building_LOD2-EPSG25832.gmlSo far, I am simply offsetting a the shapefile to create floor and roof geometries. I also generate a UUID for an gml_id (for the Building) which I thought I could reference from the roof and floor surfaces LoD2 features in order to nest them. However, upon running the workspace, it appears only the Building feature is written out and the RoofSurface and FloorSurface features are ignored.Ca

Hi there,I am struggeling how to solve the problem.I have got 80000 Polygones and need to filter them into a smaller groups.see the screenshot:they have one attribute, lets say "CODE" with which I could filter them (01001; or 01002 etc.).this should gives about 430 groupsOf course I do not want to filter them manually. is there any option to filter them with something like a batch filter? To find the same values > when the same value > write them in the 1 group, or somethng simmilar.  after that need to write theese "group infos" into a polygone geometry.  I have a polygones which have the same attribute "CODE" (01001; 01002...) was thinking again about "featuremerger"But I do need to keep for example all 13 features from CODE 01001 and so on. Any Idea how could I achieve this?

i would like to Add a point to end node of Lines that has no more connection with any lines or any area . i have read ,that i have to use vertex creator ,Add point but iam not sure how it worksi have used aggregator group by network_id , so i have many lines connecting together ,depend on the network . i would like to add a node at end of each network when the network has no lines connecting from any side ,so i want to add the point , but if there is connection between lines and another lines so i do not need to add a point .somelines have already node at the end without any connection lines but some not ,my target the line that has no node at end ,i want to add a point  Thanks in advance for any help .  

Hi,I'm troubleshooting an error I'm getting back from an HTPCaller response and would like to view the transactions in Fiddler. I am having trouble routing the traffic through the Fiddler proxy though. Does anyone see what I'm missing?FME Settings:Fiddler Settings:I also installed and trusted the Fiddler root certificate and added loopback exemptions for the running AppContainers.Results from the reject port of HTTPCaller:(ps1) I should add that the HTTPCaller is using NTLM authentication in case that matters. I think the the FME Proxy settings should be fine with no auth, as none is set on the proxy itself (Fiddler), but have also tried with credentials in case they were passing through to the caller.Thanks!Corey

Hi FME Community,I am moving some FME workbenches from a 2012 microsoft server to a 2019 microsoft server and am finding some issues with running a few of them. I’m trying to test out a “Projectwise Connector” in FME which is supposed to allow me to read data directly from projectwise and convert to a GIS format to store somewhere else (GIS database). What I want to do is convert certain levels from a dgn stored in Projectwise. Then set up a routine to do this nightly. My question is there someone I can contact directly at FME that specializes in the ProjectWise Connector? Thank you.Any help much appreciated!

Hi I have a problem in FME desktop 2019.2 that i haven't been able to solve for a while. I have an XML response from one server API and i need to restructure it to Post it to another server on a regular time interval. I am having trouble flattening the XML out and holding the relationship to the parent. Sounds like a common question. I can see many people asking similar questions in the forum however I cannot apply the logic to solve my problem. I assume the solution lies somewhere in the reader or flatten settings. The number of children per entry varies as you will see in the example.In summary:Input is an xml file. I have created an example attached.I need to split this into 2 tables. The first is the client information. The second is the contacts. And the relationship needs to be maintained. I was hoping to use the <client> <name> as the unique key in both tables.Output required is 2 tables or XML files.I would really appreciate any help.

Hi all.Our IT department has recently moved our mail system to Office365, and so all the emails sent from FME must now use a new endpoint and credentials.I've tried to run a super simple workspace, and it fails: Emailer_Søgeord: <class 'ssl.SSLError'>: [SSL: WRONG_VERSION_NUMBER] wrong version number (_ssl.c:1076)Our previous setup didn't use SSL, but the new one does. But apparently FME cannot handle it ?The only items changed are: host, port, encryption (from None to SSL), and sender's username and password.Using FME 2020.0 and Python 3.7+, and I have upgraded the Emailer transformer from 2017 to the latest.Please advice. I just found the "Enable Cache" option on the FeatureReader, but it's not entirely clear from the documentation when this cache is renewed.Assume I have set the "Cache Timeout" parameter to a very long time, say a week or longer.Will the cache only remain during a session, or will it still exist when I close the workbench, and reopen it later that day?Will the cache still exist when I close the workbench, close down the machine, and reopen the workbench the next day?The reason for asking is that some remote datasets are pretty heavy and only change occasionally, so I wish I could minimise the number of times reading it.Note: I am not talking about workbench feature caching here!
