Is there any documentation on the best way to install and set-up FME in an AWS Cloud Environment?How is the licence set-up on a dynamic environment?

I just started to receive this error on FME Server 2019.2 that won't allow me to view the jobs. Here is the API response with the error below.{"message":"org.dom4j.DocumentException: Error on line 1 of document  : An invalid XML character (Unicode: 0x7f) was found in the value of attribute "value" and element is "NM_DIRECTIVE". Nested exception: An invalid XML character (Unicode: 0x7f) was found in the value of attribute "value" and element is "NM_DIRECTIVE"."} What can I do to diagnose what the issue is with the invalid character? Also, I have only noticed this issue with transformations/jobs/completed API call, as the others are working correctly. 

Hi Guys,i am wondering of using of Excel styler ,if i select for my excel writer this optionOutput Field Names: No Use Attribute Names As Column Positions: Yes i can see my result only in inspector but it does not exist any excel file ,my folder is empty .so i tried to put my excel writer before excel styler so i can get my excel output in the folder . then i put again my excel writer after excel styler but i changed in parameter of excel writer as try , this option Output Field Names: yes Use Attribute Names As Column Positions: Noi found i can get my output in the folder nd everything is perfect except the first row it has field names ,i want to delete it .So why using this option as No ,i got nothing or if someone know a method to delte the first row so everything will be fine with me   

Hello Team,We recently upgraded FME Server 2019, and tried create AD group user it was asking for Search Account Password which i am not very clear about it.Can somebody instruct me how to export AD group users into FME server 2019? Is there any prerequisites to do this activity? What is the process to add AD group user to FME Server.Thanks in advance.

I have two datasets which need to joined. Both datasets store the attributes 'CI_nummer' (numeric) and 'NaamObject'. An example value of the last looks like: ZN VKS MSI A16L 46,935 1I want to join the datasets if both these attributes match. . Beside this, the NaamObject also needs to match for a certain minimum of characters. ZN VKS MSI A16L 46,935 146,935 these numbers represent a distance value. 46 kilometres and 935 meters. When the difference between two distance values (dataset A versus B) is less than 500 meters I want FME to see these values as identical. For example:These two values should be considered as identical:ZN VKS MSI A16L 46,935 1ZN VKS MSI A16L 46,835 3 These two values should be considered as identicalN VKS MSI A16L 46,935 1ZN VKS MSI A16L 47,122 3These two values should not be considered as identicalN VKS MSI A16L 46,935 1ZN VKS MSI A16L 48,122 3I am thinking about something with a regular expression? I have a question similar to this. However, following and reading the links, it is not addressing my task, so far I can tell.I have a million lines, which I need to analyze to a line density raster, usually done in ArcMap Spatial Analyst Line Density function. The function needs to: 1) take in input lines, 2) adjust cell size, 3) search radius, 4) area unit. I can do it ArcMap, no problem, but as the analysis task is a part of a longer data extraction and modifying process in FME Workbench, I try to keep it there.

Hello All,I am trying to follow the documentation in the Electric Migration Tools V1.zip that comes with the Electric Utility Network Migration Tools. There is a section in the documentation called "Import additional associations and rules to the Asset Package" that states that the Append command should be used to append the AssetPackageAdditions.zip to the Asset Package. I tried looking at this article: https://knowledge.safe.com/articles/32670/combining-multiple-streams-of-data.html but it doesn't seem like it has instructions to perform an Append. My question is how to use the Append command as the documentation states?

HelloFirst off all, I'm sorry for my English.I'm working with annotations with different textsizes, rotation, horizontal- and vertical alignments in ArcGIS Pro 2.1.3. I have to import and export this annotations to another format (Interlis) as a point feature class. ArcGIS Pro uses a different annotation format (compared to ArcGIS for Desktop).I can import a file to the file-geodatabase in the "old" annotation format (ArcGIS Desktop) and then i can upgrade it with python. So that's not a big problem.But I can't export the annotations. The File Geodb reader doesn't recognize the annotations of ArcGIS Pro. With the Open API reader, I can import the annotations as a polygon. But i need a point and the point doesn't have to be in the center of the polygon (alignments). Is there any workaround? I'm a beginner in FME. Or are there any plans to implement the support of the ArcGIS Pro Annotation? (How long does it take?)

What does EXTRA_POLYGON_FEATURE mean in PointOnAreaOverlayer?I've added a SpatialFilter on the Area dataset to reduce the number of unnecessary area features going to the PointOnAreaOverlayer and suddenly I get a load of rejected features out of the PointOnAreaOverlayer with EXTRA_POLYGON_FEATURE as the rejection code.It would be nice if the documentation gave some explanation of the codes rather than simply listing them...Update: This is in 64-bit FME 2018.1 on Windows Server 2012 and was using PointOnAreaOverlayer version 7. I upgraded the PointOnAreaOverlayer to version 8 and it worked, so presumably there was some bug fix in the new version of the Transformer.I'd still like to know what the rejection code means though.

Hi guys, I have a small question which could probably be solved easily.I have 20 datasets. Each of these datasets needs to be given a new field called 'Trajectnaam'. This was done using 20 attribute creators.. this could be done easier I guess? This field needs to get the name of the corresponding dataset as value for each dataset respectively. Is there an option to enter the name of each dataset as new attribute value?Finally I want to merge the 20 datasets into 1 dataset with 20 lines.Thanks for your help!

Hi I'm calling a json api, that gives several geometrys. I can succesfully parse the json to kmz and see the features. Unfortinatly there are examples, where multipoints are used, and it gives more value (for me) to show it as polygons (each enclosed by a group of multipoints) . Is there a way to get the Modified By username/name from One Drive?

We've got a real head scratcher here. We are collecting data in Survey123 for ArcGIS and are using FME to listen for the submissions. Everything works perfectly for receiving the JSON. We've taken that JSON and built a workspace around looking at the data as it is pulled from ArcGIS Online without any issue. We even deal with repeats associated with Survey123. Here's the part we can't seem to get past. We have set up all of the attachment parameters and the job clearly pulls the attachments and it saves them in our specified directory. We even have it saving under FME Server in the resources-data directory. So there is no issue with the attachments being pulled. Our issue is we cannot get them to properly attach to the email being sent.  When we remove the attachment parameters from the FMEServerEmailGenerator (Leaving attachments blank) the email comes through perfectly. Hello All,I have 2 polygon MapInfo files - land classification and farms. I want to update columns in the Farms table with the classification/s in the Land Classification table where they overlap. I can't work out how to do this as there may be multiple (though not overlapping) classification polygon areas for each Farm, so I want to update the % overlap for each column - Grade 1, Grade 2 etc. I can produce separate files for each grade, but not then update columns in the master Farms table.Any help would be much appreciated.Thanks,Jane

I have a CSV file that is downloaded from a source that I cannot edit. The CSV that is exported contains a character ("?") in its file name which results in FME (I'm using 2019.2.3) failing to read the file. Ultimately this workspace will run on FME Server and will access this CSV from an email that it receives.The filename is FILE_(?)_FILE.csv and this flags an error in FME Desktop (which I expect will be replicated on FME Server) on attempting to load the data into the workspace:CSV reader: Failed to open file 'C:\\FILE_(?)_FILE.csv' for reading. Please ensure that the file exists and you have sufficient privileges to read itIt looks like FME is incorrectly interpreting the file name string and is obviously then unable to find it.An obvious solution is to ask the end user to remove the "?" symbol from the file name before running the workspace but this is prone to error and I would much rather handle it in the FME workspace itself. Hi there, I am calculating two new fields in Python caller. When I tried to set those attributes, I got an error message of "Python Exception <TypeError>: Could not convert attribute value to a supported attribute type."
