I've got some data in json which have some different geometries in it I want to read these with FME and output geometries, polys, lines, etc I attached the files, do I need to somehow change the way the coordinates are formatted' to be able to create the geometries? How do I best go about this in fme?  also have pretty much the same data in xml, attached that too.my plan was to extract the coordinates with attributesplitter but that got troublesome for anything other than a point feature

Hi all, I'm having a problem writing to Azure Cosmos DB where I format the attributes as in the image below and use the Azure Cosmos DB writer to write to the DB. When I test connection and write it says all good however when I go to view the data I get this error and the data hasn't been written. ActivityId: e39bb0d8-2a86-45db-bb62-d50efecc43b7, Microsoft.Azure.Documents.Common/2.9.2' A fatal error has occurred. Check the logfile above for details Failed to specify the feature index as constraints on the reader Cosmos DB (DocumentDB) Reader: Request failed with HTTP status 400. The message from the server is: 'Cross partition query is required but disabled. Please set x-ms-documentdb-query-enablecrosspartition to true, specify x-ms-documentdb-partitionkey, or revise your query to avoid this exception. Any help would be very much appreciated! Thanks Joe

I'm trying to map levels names from one MicroSation DGN file into different level names in another DGN file. Most of the levels are being mapped correctly but some features are not being mapped at all. Not sure why that is happening. Has anyone else had this problem?

When converting Autodesk Civil 3D data (specifically pipes and structure for creating water, storm and sanitary features in shape or geodatabase) with FME, I am not getting any invert elevations. The newly converted features have some AutoCAD attributes in HEX (assumed) format, but non of them make sense as invert elevation when converted to decimal. The export LandXML file from the same Civil 3D does have those invert elevation that could be read as part of structure description, so it is there, just can't get it out into GIS. I really wanted to avoid the process of manual entry of those invert elevations every time I need to add new developments to the infrastructure features. Any help on that?

Are there any javascript experts out there? I have created a data download web application where you draw a polygon and return some data. I have done this primarily from some samples made available on the knowledge base. It looks ok I have customized it a bit and added some extra functionality/background mapping.This is all working very well when I draw my polygon and submit the request it goes to Server and my data returns.Problem is I want to run the workspace even if a polygon is not defined/drawn - as in I have another parameter option to input x,y min and max values. I would like the workspace to submit without the polygon geometry part being drawn.  But when I try to do this I get the following error stating it can not read lengthmapinfo.js:175 Uncaught TypeError: Cannot read property 'length' of undefinedat processClip (mapinfo.js:175)at HTMLInputElement.onclick (mapinfo.html:1)  Can anyone tell me how I could get around this basically if its null ignore or something sim

Can FME Cloud be configured to access my local network drives? For example, could I read something from ArcGIS Online and write it to a shapefile or FGDB on one of my on premise servers?

Hi all,I am using 2DGridAccumulator, which works perfectly fine. I would like to write also the bbox coordinates of each grid to my final output. I can see those values in the inspector but I don't know how I can extract those attributes so that i can write it. Any idea how i can do it? thanks in advance.

Next, I configured a JMS subscriber to send message to my RabbibMQ Server :- Protocol : JMS- Provider Type Or Context : com.rabbitmq.jms.admin.RMQObjectFactory- Provider URL : server-name:5672- Connection Factory : com.rabbitmq.jms.admin.RMQConnectionFactoryUsername and password : OKDestination: a queue nameWhen I confirm my configuration the following error message appears : "Unable to find provider named com.rabbitmq.jms.admin.RMQObjectFactory. Hi folks, New to the forum and FME, I'm hoping I can leach some knowledge. I have a csv file that imports into FME like this: I would like to manipulate it into the following format: Depending on which file is imported Costs 1, 2 & 3 may be there, or it may be a combination of 1 or 2 costs. All costs do share a common three characters at the left of their name. Is it possible to dynamically look at the cost columns and then transform the data into the format shown in the second pciture? Thanks in advance. Andrew

Hello again,We have a DWG that contains blocks that have been drawn in model space and then displayed in paper space using annotative scale. The block in paper space is scaled to the correct size based on the annotative scale but when I send the output to TIFF / PDF the blocks are the wrong size. TIFF Image above, DWG below. I know I need to scale the block, probably using the Scaler transformer, but how do I figure out the annotative scale used in the drawing associated with the paper space scale.There are AutoCAD references to the annotation scale but not sure how to find that scale out in FME as I can't seem to find in through exposing various attributes.  Sample drawing attached :

By taking a view from a 3d File and saving the view to turn into a .svg file. Below a few screenshots how I have done it before. A .svg is imported into powerbi.   When clicking the .svg graphic in PowerBi, the PowerBi table changes to filter only that Column In this example the .svg has the following ID: <polygon id="M1" description="M1"  If this ID is found in the PowerBi Data, the column for "M1" is called. Hello Everyone,I am trying to run the translation on the Electric Migration workspace for Electric Asset Package V3.2 (Electric Migration V3 2019_12_18.fmwt file) using FME Desktop version 2019.2.3.1. It fails because it is missing a file called "NapervilleElectric_2019_10_22.gdb.zip". Is the file available for download, and is the workspace supposed to produce an asset package that is ready to load into a Utility Network without further configuration?

Hello, I need to write the resulting file to the same directory where my source file is, no matter where is the workspace. However, variables cannot be inserted into the writer's destination directory. Can anyone help?

Hey, I want to calculate values from 2 columns and get the results into a new column. Its only a multiplication: values of column a * values of column b = values in new column. Does anyone know how i could do this?

We have a DWG that has a number of scale bars shown in paperspace. In the DWG the units are visibleBut when it is brought into FME the units are missing. My guess is that the units are dynamically generated in the DWG based on the viewport scale and as such are not really annotation but some attribute / tag associated with the line.Is there a way for FME to find the values so they can then be used to output to PDF.  Update 1:Here is a a sample DWG with the issue included. Update 2:What I have discovered is the scale bar is a 'block' and the text is a tag associated with the block. Is there a way to convert the 'tag' to text in FME? 

I have 2 dynamic writers in which data are coming from 2 readers (SQL Spatial and SQL non-spatial, respectively). Actually the readers are reading from the same database (A, for example) and the writers are writing out to the same database (B, for example). The reason why I have 2 readers is because there are spatial data and non-spatial tables in database A. I have a SQL script that can set ObjectID to Primary Key. It doesn't seem working properly when I put SQL script into the first writer (spatial). Therefore I had to put this SQL script into the second writer (non-spatial) to make it run properly. Any ideas? Hi,I am trying to set up within an FME workspace a way to run select transformers within the workspace based on the day of the week, and other parts based on the month.I have various external datasets I want to refresh internally (SDE) by pulling them externally; some datasets are to be pulled every Tuesday, while others are on a quarterly basis (2/1,5/1,8/1,11/1). I would be running the workspace from FME server on a daily basis but have the coding within the workspace to refresh based on preset conditions.I am running FME 2018.1 build 18547

Hello, I'm trying to download a series of excel files that are on a website. There is a starting date of 9/19/2005 (its hyperlinked for each excel file) and it increments by 7 days (so its a page fill of hyperlinked dates). I'm guessing I need to create a list of all dates starting from 9/19/2005 so that I can use httpcaller to download each file. I'm having trouble creating the starting date so that I can use DateTimeConverter to create the range (and consequently create the full url's to each file). I tried using AttrubuteCreator with a new value of DateTimeCreate(2005,09,19) but this expression errors.Thoughts on this and I'm all ears if there is a cleaner approach. Thanks in advance

I have a CSV file where I need to read only the first line (or first column/line combo) of the file. Is there an easy way to do this with a reader? Or am I stuck reading the whole file? I've tried both the CSV reader and Text File reader. In both, I don't see anyway of isolating this first line of text/data. I'm forced to bring the entire table into the workspace. Thanks in advance!-Mark

Hello everyone.I have a .dwg file including substructure data of an area. I'm studying on creation a 3D city model with virtulacityPUBLISHER. To be able to create this, I'm transforming dwg file into a geojson file format via "bufferer" transformer (Buffer Type: Solid). But solid type creating a semi-sphere at the end of the line. And then, generating surfaces which consist of 6n^2 faces. If we think about an awful a lot details for all substructure details (e.g. gas or water tubes, cables etc.) it will be too much surfaces to publish (with a web browser interface) for a city model. So, how can i simplify the lines (especially end of the lines) which is using for creating goejson file types.Thanks.

Hello community,I'm trying to call the REST API in ajax from another application. In this call, I do a POST request to submit a workspace. The call works fine in Postman and I get a job id in return. However in the response headers, I only get the following parameters: Content-Length, Content-Type and Date. For the purpose of my application, I also need the Access-Control-Allow-Origin in the response headers.Any idea how I can make that happen?version used: FME server 19.1 over https (port 8443)Thanks in advance
