Hi, We have moved to using a floating licence manager, which I have successfully configured against FME desktop. However the software is showing that it still has a fixed node licence attached to it as well. Is their a way to cleanly remove this without having to uninstall the software ?
I have two different linear writers, I need to find all intersection between these two writer. But when I intersection with FME, it’s put many points where it has any intersection. So, I use a line combiner or a aggregator, but I have the same problem. Result :Yellow = Intersection (point)Red = road 1 (linear)black = road 2 (linear)
Hi, I've been struggling for hours to try and create a simple flow that would extract the coordinates / project them to another coordinate system, and report it into a CSV file. I've tried many different ways, but I'm not getting any data into excel or CSV.
I have a set of csvs where the X,Y fields are named differently in each file, but always in the pattern {prefix}LocationX, {prefix}LocationY. The prefix is unrelated to the filename or any other easy way to predict. In order to process all the files through the same workflow, I would like to copy the attributes to _x and _y so the rest of the transformers can reference those attributes irrespective of the original names. Is there a simple way to do so without dropping into python?
I have some aggregate geometry in Multicurve form. Is there a way to filter out features where it looks like a donut from ones where the geometries are separate? Please see attached screenshots of both types. The goal is to extract donut holes (after converting to area) and making them a separate attribute in the same feature. The problem is that converting to areas deaggregates the non-donut geometry. These need to be kept intact and treated separately. Thanks,@larue
I am working on FME script which generated two output one is 1-1 where building outline are link to one parcel ( even if it related to multiple parcels) and another output is 1-M where building outline are link to many parcel which are relate to. Below are data inspector output of two custom transformer. which I need to joined as final output and exported to CSV. FeatureMerge i tried not giving right output. Output1 : Output 2 : Expected Output after joined : FeatureMerger output : Highlighted column value is same all record which is not related to building outlines also.
Geometry replacer is not working for me. Both features contain FME Binary geometry. I have tried renaming the attribute, cloning, etc. How does this work? Thanks,@larue
I have a data set with numbers in x y z sequence separated by "," representing 3D geometry polygons and points. It was originally WKT and had been formatted to work with Dynamo (Revit). Here is a sample of a point:841.99951171875 678.6250000000001 -132 Here is a sample of a polygon:409.000000000001 473.499999999999 372,409.000000000001 797 372,487 797 372,487 871 372,1275 871 372,1275 476.286679607417 372,1275 461.500000000111 372,409.000000000001 461.5 372,409.000000000001 473.499999999999 372 My hunch is to chop everything up into x y z attributes and then reconstitute into points/polygons. Using two AttributeSplitters, I can create a list, but then, how do you assign these numbers to x y z in sequence? It is so close to WKT, maybe there is an easier way? Thanks,@larue
Greetings,Is writer to PostgreSQL inherited table is supported by FME desktop. It's not working and return error.Regards,Maha
I have 20-30 Clients that I need to modify to point to a new license server. Can this be done without launching the Licensing Assistant on each client locally. In other words, is there a file I could edit or a registry value I could modify?
I have two FME servers, one test and one production. Both have version 2020.1.3 and a recent installation of ArcGIS Pro 2.6. I have a workspace, also in 2020.1.3 with Python Compatibility set to "Esri ArcGIS Python 3.6". The workspace works fine on desktop which has Pro 2.6 installed. The workspace is published to both servers. It runs without any problem on the test server, but on the production server, it gives this error as shown in attached. It does not generate a log file either. It seems the production server does not know the existence of the Pro 2.6 installation. I have no problem launching Pro 2.6 on the production server. Do I need to do some special configuration on the FME server to work with ArcGIS Pro? I don't think I did anything special on the test server, and yet it works fine with Pro.
Hi Guys, I wonder if anybody can point me i the right direction .... I'm using 2021.0.2 desktop on windows.I have a workbench, it loads an oracle table, I add 2 new fields, and the a transformer ProjAttributeReprojector, this takes an Irish Grid TM73 [epsg: 29903] and reprojects to ITM (IRENET95 / Irish Transverse Mercator [EPSG:2157]).. Then I use the Transformer - VertexCreater to create a point layer which is in ITM (IRENET95 / Irish Transverse Mercator). When I analyze this layer all looks good except the location of the point and the new fields containg the x,y reprojected coordinates are incorrect on average 30cm difference to what the should be using reference data supplied by the vendor, similar reprojections performed in Arcgis Pro and ArcMap and using the online tool supplied by the National Mapping Agency to perform coordinate conversion. The verndor, ArcGis Pro, Arcmap and Online tool are all the same value. So my question is - How do I improve the accuracy? is it possibl
I have used an Attribute Manager to create a new attribute for a file path. The path is for example c:\\FME\\data\\myworspace\\sourcefile.htmlThe output from the Attribute Manager is c:\\FME\\data/myworkspace\\sourcefile.html It is outputting a random / in the middle of the path rather than \\.This results in the path failing to work. I can use a string replacer after to correct it but it is not working correctly. Any ideas on why it does this would be great.
I want tot download data using the httpcaller (zipped gml) and read it with the featurereader. The problem is that the featurereader will not have any output ports since the data is to be downloaded first. How do I get the featurereader to have the right output ports or 'remember' them from previous times I ran the worlspace?
Hello everyone and welcome to your weekly FME news. It's Mark here, deputizing for Liz today. New Release: FME2021.0.3A new update to the 2021.0 version was made yesterday. It's FME2021.0.3, build number 21326. The WhatsNew file says of this build:------------------------------FME 2021.0.3.0 b21326 20210528------------------------------internal changesThis doesn't mean all our developers went on holiday; a lack of fixes simply reflects (I think) that their work in 2021.0 was high quality. From a user point of view, the most interesting thing I can find is that the Data Inspector window layout is now properly saved on closing. And we log a better warning when opening an unrecognized FFS file. But if you want more exciting stuff, just wait a month or so. That's when FME2021.1 will be released. Work in ProgressSo what are we working on? I can't tell you the big stuff, but a few small items I can mention:Recent File List in Workbench. How do we improve the clarity of the list? Should we i
I'm trying to determine the projections of some old maps, but I can't seem to figure out a fast way to do it. I know the brute force method, Googling endlessly, etc. The detectproj application works ok, but it's not centralized and can be kind of tedious when working with multiple maps. Does anyone know if FME has tools for detecting projections of raster images?
Hi I would like to filter my pointclouds based on the minZ from a corresponding DTM. So the height difference in the area's is not that big. Therefore we could use the minZ from the whole DTM. If it can be done to do it for each rastercel, I'm also interested. I want to use that minZ value to filter/split/test my pointcloud. I can't seem to find the right transformer to do this. Like for the pointcloudfilter. I'm feeding it the pointcloud and from the raster(DTM) side an attribute (minZ). The filter won't accept the attribute. This is what I have right now:
Greeting. I have a file from autocad (.dwg) from which I would like to extract the postal address numbers in the form: NR.20, NR.16a, NR.83I would like to remove from the column special characters such as: ???, / , or - as well as text names like TEREN VIRAN For example I have NR-130-TEREN-VIRAN, I wish to have just NR.130Or: from NR-137/F I wish to have NR.137FAll the best.
I want to write the output in csv in the format "csvname_timestamp", but when i am doing it, fme is writing all features into different csv files, why its doing like that? I want just 1 csv file with all the accumulated info, please help?
Hi,Does anyone know if there is a way to extract metadata about a Microsoft SharePoint List? In particular, I would like to know the date each record in the list was last modified. I am using FME Desktop 2020.1.1.1 Thanks
I'm trialling AttributeFileWriter to output a list of values from a table from a specified attribute field. In theory AttributeFileWriter seems to be ideal for the task. I've read in the source data which has 13 records. I want to create a .txt list of all the application numbers from the 'application_number' field. There are no duplicate application numbers in the source data so I'd expect an output of 13 applications numbers in the .txt. In AttributeFileWriter I've set the Source Attribute to application_number. But when I view the output .txt only one application numbers is listed, and not 13 as expected. Any ideas as to why this is?
😊 Is it possible with FME to get an excel with some information like, for exemple I would like a document with the name of my attribute table, the last update date, the number of empty fields ?Thanks for your help !😊
I'm reading a couple of files, and they have some matching attributes. I want to rename those attributes in one go, but write the files with their original attribute structure only. However when I write the files, they all end up with the combined attributes. Filtering empty attributes is not possible because some files have attributes with no values. Copying the reader settings on the writer(s) also doesn't work out because the names would be wrong. Is there a way to keep the original structure, with the new names? Basically this:
What actions are required to properly set up FME Temporary Folder for helm or docker deployment? In helm: Should I set up FME_TEMP temporary variable (env:) and add (volumeMounts:) (volumes:) in engine-deployments.yaml? Will this be enough?
Hi FME UsersI'm reading a Revit-Drawing and try to extract the coordinates of the "Part 0" in the IFMEAggregate (IFME Line). I use a "GeometryPropertyExposer" with the settings shown in the screenshot. But somehow it will not work, and it would be great if someone can help me to solve this. Thank you very much in advance!Dominik
