Hi everyone, I need to retexture a citygml file using one (mosaic)image file. But I am facing an issue in the last steps using the Appearance Setter. I started with the WallSurfaces and managed to calculate the (row,column) coordinates of each wall-vertex on the new single image (derived from the previous textured model that used multiple images for one building in the appearance folder). The position of a (sample) wall3D projected on the mosaic-image looks correct, attached a screenshot from QGIS. I rescaled the row column coordinates to a 0,1 scale, with (0,0) representing the lower left corner of the image, and stored them as list-attributes for each wallsurface. I used these lists to set the u,v texture coordinates with the measuresetter transformer as explained in this useful post on texturing citygml :

Hi all, I have a couple of point features which are feeding through with polygons (as the points should join to polygons, bar these 2). I've tried the GeometryCoercer and CenterPointReplacer etc but no luck. Is there something I'm missing which could create even a small polygon from a point?

Hello, I have a (excel)list of points [x,y,z] which was recorded along a cable. The recording was done contiguously both upwards and downwards. Unfortunately without marking the reversal points. The starting point of the cable is the first point of the recording in the list. If I now generate a line from the point list using FME, I get a 3D line which runs both upwards and downwards. My goal is to split this line into two lines, but I haven't found a transformer that will give me the inversion point. My idea for determining the reversal point would be to determine the reversal point based on the distance to the starting point. The reversal point would then be the point from the point list with the greatest distance to the first point in the point list. How could I solve this elegantly in FME?Thanks a lot for your support

I can reproject CSAR point clouds but I can not write them to the CSAR point cloud format, only to ASCII XYZ.

I'm working on a workbench converting CSV files with WKT geometry into autocad SDF. For some featuretypes i want to allow multigeometry. If I manually make a new feature in autocad map I can select some geomtric types that combine line and surface, point and surface, etc. .If I set the fme_geometry{0} in the schema to FME_point, i get the SDF point geometric type. But if I add fme_geometry{1}: FME_line, fme_geometry{2}:FME_polygon (This is what it looks like when I read a file with this combined geometric type into FME). It looks like only the geometry{0} is read and I also get the Geometric type point.Is there a way to use these other types? like point+curve, point+surface, .. ?screenshot below shows the geometric types available in SDF:

Hi,I'm trying to convert an IFC file (exported with Revit) into a .gml one. I tried to recreate the workspace suggested here: https://knowledge.safe.com/articles/1025/bim-to-gis-intermediate-ifc-lod-300-to-lod-4-cityg.html , but I could not be able to visualize the output file (.gml) in QGIS software. Using the available data at the above link, I can see them. Why? I'm using FME Workbench 2019.

My dataset contains multiple points within different towns. For example, town A will have 30 datapoints and town B has 35. Can I automatically create output ports to group the relevant datapoints by each town without having to filter them all manually?

This is exactly what I want to do however my organization is only at FME 2020.2. So the Reader format of OGC WMTS is not available to me. Any suggestions on how to do this in FME 2020?

I have a workspace that converts a DWG file to a new DWG utilizing a template file. However, I am unclear on how the text styles saved in the template file interact with multi text features written to the output DWG. I understand that the template file will overwrite any styling you set in the workspace for lines, polygons, and blocks. Does this also apply to text? Here are the details, In my workspace I set the text style with the property autocad_shape_name to a corresponding style in the autocad template file. Also, the multi text features are put on a layer that exists in the template file. I have been trying to modify two attributes in the text features that are found in autocad (Annotative, and Defined Width), see the image below showing these properties highlighted in AutoCAD. I would like to iterate through a table based on a list of values. This is the process I would like to automate:Filter the table on a value then add an attribute and BulkAttributeRenamer. I have 20 values so I'd like to be able loop through the table for each value rather than have a set of transformers for every value.
