Do you think I can install the latest FME Desktop version on the latest OSx (High Sierra 10.13)?

Hi all,I am having issues with blending captured UAV orthomosaic (.jpg) into aerial imagery (.jpg as well). I used a few approaches including creating boundary polygon to use as a clipper as well as setting alpha band to exclude black edges to mosaic with aerial imagery. As a result I get merged images with white edges instead.I looked at couple of solutions that floating around knowledge center but did not get it working. If anyone can suggest a solution that would be great.Cheers,Maksym

I would like to use FME to select cadastre polygons that are listed in excel.I have excel with column that have land parcels number(s) and column with name of cadastral plan and some more additional data in another column.Land parcels excel cells sometimes have more than one land parcels and they are delimited with comma. After selecting one I would like to add additional attribute values to polygon and export it to new shape file. All land parcels are exported to one common shape file.

Hi all,  A very simple question(!), is it possible to scale by a known point in FME, i.e. by an x and y coordindate.  In the Scaler, Scale Origin you can only select Cente Point or Origin.  I have tried it as a parameter, e.g. 15,15 but it doesn't appear to be scaling correctly.  Thanks.

MorningI am trying to calculate the difference between coordinates of 2 stations. I've attached an image to assist in explaining. If you reference the image I've attached, you will see that lines 1 & 3 are the same station, and 2 & 4 are the same station also. Eastings and Northings provided on lines 3 & 4 are the accurate coordinates. Is it possible to calculate the difference and have it outputted?I need to use this data to make an adjustment to some spatial data based off this calculation, well, to start.

I am attempting to update an xml attribute (geodb_metadata_file) for multiple features. Some features have more xml content than others. I need to figure out which nodes are missing and will add content and which nodes are there and need to update content. There are about 7 nodes that I am testing but could be more so I need a generic way to test. a "for each" loop through a list of nodes to test and pathing the result into either update or add is my pseudo solution, but I don't know how to do that in a workspace except to have multiple testers which feels wrong. Please help!

I have a excel sheet that includes a column of road numbers and a column of chainages (eg road distances) I have another spatial database called Road Segments which are lines. They contain attributes of AssetId, Road numbers and an attribute of 'StartChainage' and one of 'EndChainage' What I want to achieve is to be able to identify what Road Segment AssetId the chainage from my excel sheet falls on.

Hi, I'm relatively new to FME and I was wondering if there was a common workbench for converting line features into polygon. Think of a dataset with the usual problems like this:-None merged line features, which result in polygons like in the image on the right (compair red line on the left to yellow polygon on the right)- None intersecting lines which result in no polygons at all- self intersecting lines which result in "small" polygons- Or identical line features which result in identical polygonsetc. etc.Without knowing specifically which kind of errors one is to expect in their dataset, how can you clean it, in order for FME to transform the lines into polygons.I've searched on here allready, and I've found the workbench mentioned in herehttps://knowledge.safe.com/questions/3150/fail-to-convert-lines-to-polygons-correctly.htmland this data validation tutorialhttps://knowledge.safe.com/articles/54515/data-qa-identifying-self-intersections-with-fme.htmlHowever,

I have a problem with the final challange in the basic training course 2017  When opening FinalChallenge.ffs i get an error message Is this a problem with incorrect password in the .ffs file or a problem that we can solve by ourself? Best/ Johan

I want to use a httpCaller with a filter expression, i.e. use the request URL "http://geodata.nationaalgeoregister.nl/bag/wfs?service=wfs&request;=GetFeature&typeName;=bag:verblijfsobject&count;=5&filter;=<Filter><PropertyIsEqualTo><PropertyName>bag:woonplaats</PropertyName><Literal>Diemen</Literal></PropertyIsEqualTo></Filter>". This returns a status code 400 (The HTTP 400 Bad Request response status code indicates that the server could not understand the request due to invalid syntax.). If I paste the same request URL straight into a browser though, a nice result is being returned. What do I do wrong?

This is in reference to a previous post. I have attached an example .dwg . A need has arisen to retrieve the PNEZD (point#, northing, easting, elevation, description) and all of the attributes of each cogo point in a Civil 3D drawing. We can have up to 17 attributes for each point. Is this do-able? If so we could automate the extraction of thousands of points from numerous drawings and life would be swell.

Hi,I am doing DWG to DWG translation filtering only points using geometry filter, If i am not exploding blocks into entities, points are not visible in written DWG file, But if i am exploding it i am able to see points in CAD along with polygons and text.Thanks in advance.

Hello everyone,  In my workspace I am using the CenterOfGravityReplaces and/or the CenterPointReplacer transformer but some of my points do not actually land on the line. Some do. How can I get it so that all of the midpoints land on the lines?

I would like to create a workflow that can convert an HTML page to a pdf file. The image below is an example of what the web page looks like with a map, this map is purely an html file with a layout created in html and request GET links loaded by the website. Can this somehow be read in' as is' via FME and converted to pdf?I am currently using ColdFusion to render this page and save it as pdf .Unfortunately, this process is very intensive and I would like to put the last paret of this process to an FME server.

I'm almost too embarrassed to ask this question, because it seems like something that could be done with one or two statistic calculators, but I just can't find the right solution. Anyway, here is what I want to do:   I have a table with attribute 1 and attribute 2. I want to calculate the count of unique values of attribute 1 having the same attribute 2. Something like this:With statistics calculator I can count the number of all belonging to attribute 2, even all with the same attribute 1 but not only the distinct ones. I would very much appreciate any help with this very simple problem. Thank you!

Hi All,  I have been trying to create an alias/staging table for an LRS. I have a local routes layer that has been broken down into sections by county, municipalities, and street names. I am looking to create measures for these sections by placing them on our LRS which has M-values. The end goal of this exercise is to produce a table that has ROUTE, ROUTE ALIAS, MUNICIPALITY, COUNTY, START_ACCUM, and END ACCUM.   What I am get caught up on is breaking down these street sections into events (chopper?) and assigning them measures from the LRS. These street segments do not completely line up with the LRS.   Any help would be much appreciated!

I am using the following workflow to pass and INSERT in writer all records with datetime "yesterday". Rest all records will be UPDATE based on an ID field. This workflow will be scheduled to run everyday. I am sure my value field to calculate yesterday is not correct! Any guidance will be helpful.
