When I write dgn file in FME, my original added line style changes. How can I save it?

Here is my original file. I made my own line style for different objects.Then I make the simplest transformation with FME and it saves my line style. and then I write dgn file and in it, I see another line style. in some cases I can see one of default line styles, but sometimes it uses my added style but not that one, that I used before FME

REST to FGDB error - "GEODATABASE_FILE writer: An unknown exception occurred"

I am experiencing an error when reading AGOL feature services that are publicly available as REST services and writing them locally to a file geodatabase. I am using the Esri ArcGIS Server Feature Service reader and the Esri Geodatabase (File Geodb) writer. FME Server Automated Workflow Question

I have a workflow that consists of several different municipalities of input parcel data that will all be delivered at different times. The steps of the workflow are as follows: Load raw data into a GDBETL the data into target schema and load into municipality-specific GDBRun a validation on the dataLoad individual municipalities into an aggregated single feature class in a single gdb. I ultimately have to deploy these workspaces to FME server and have the entire workflow run for JUST a single municipality upon data delivery for that municipality. I have it set up so that the ETL and validations for each municipality are separated out into municipality specific workspaces. What I am wondering is if it is possible to build all of the different municipalities into a single initial data load ETL, and a single aggregation ETL and still ONLY have the whole process for the municipality that was delivered run (and not all of the other ones that don't have a new data delivery)? Anyone converted LISCAD files or LandXML from LISCAD

I am looking for some advice on the best way to validate data coming from a LISCAD survey drawing? I know LISCAD can convert to LandXML so wondering if that might be a good option and looking for any advice on that as well.

Issues adding field to ArcGIS Online feature layer.

Hi, I've written a very simple FME script to add a field to a feature layer in ArcGIS online. When I run my FME file it say my translation was successful however, the field does not get added to my feature layer. I've tried both the 'INSERT' and 'UPDATE' options in my writer. I recieve the following warning message in my log: "ArcGIS Online Feature Service Writer: Attribute 'MyField' on feature type 'MyFeatureLayer' does not match any field on the corresponding layer/table. The attribute will be ignored". Does anyone know what I'm doing wrong? FME file attached. Regards, Damian

Cannot write multiple specific rows and columns for excel table

For some reason, I am unable to write to two consecutive specified columns in an excel spreadsheet. I have specified the Column B and 3 rows of that for one set of data. I have also specified Column D and 3 rows of that for the other set of data. It doesn't matter if I use the featurewriter or the xlsx writer. I am unable to get Columns B and D to populate together. My export comes from a template that has calculations in it. There is a ROW attribute that works correctly with fixed values of 37, 38, and 40. The column is specified as the field B and D for each data stream which is correct. They are both going to the same sheet and I have been unable to make the other column that is not writing write to another column or sheet somewhere. I do this often with other reports and have not yet had this issue. Driving me crazy. Any suggestions would be appreciated :) Thanks.

Trying to extract line features as separate feature classes based on areas within polygon data

I've been looking around trying to figure out how to extract subsets of some contour data based on where they fall within some polygon contour regions I have built. I have 10 polygon regions identified with a region name attribute. I'd like to input my large contour line data and get 10 separate subsets of contour data out based on the region they fall within. I've looked at Spatial Filter and a few other extract transformers, but can't figure out the best way to proceed. Thanks for any help!

AttributeValidator - is there a way to feed the list of attributes to validate using parameters (user parameters)?

The idea is to create a generic workflow which will validate any dataset by checking all its attributes, calculating some statistics etc.I separated it into 2 (maybe even 3 workspaces) where parent workspace reads the dataset and creates a parameters for the child workspace which is analyzing the data. The only problem is - how to set up the AttributeValidator using these parameters? I did that without any problems with the Attributes to Expose parameter of the FeatureReader (list of attribute names with space separator). I am using 2020.1.2.0 (20200902 - Build 20620 - WIN64)

Dear community, I am once again struggling with the transformation from dwg to ifc. My aim is to write simple ifc-objects or proxy-objects derived from extruded dwg-circles and added attribute information. I applied the method from the fme ACAD2IFC tutorial, but no geometry is written. Any hints on how to proceed? thanks in advance!

In FME 2017 format "Esri Legacy ArcSDE" available but in FME 2020 i am not able to see Esri Legacy ArcSDE.

Hi! I have a problem with LineBuilder , which I hope you can help me with.

I have a few thousand points for which I need to build a line that connects a point to another point or two, based on location.For example, if a type A point is far from a type B point at a certain distance, then build me a line that connects them.Do you think this is possible?Of course I tried with theLineBuilder and could not reach a desired result.

Resolving pagination with Httpcaller/loop

Hello,I am currently working with some scooter mds data and I am trying to find references to help with pagination. I would like to be able to call page one and use a json fragmenter to process and then go onto page 2, etc. Has anyone worked with something like this before or has some ideas? How to convert a shape file to dwg file according to a dwg library

I need to convert a shape file to dwg file where each layer in the shape file has to have line style or symbol according to a library in the dwg. I see that I can use dwg styler but i need to import each layer separtely ,as i have more than 60 levels ,i need to divide my file to 60 files in order to do it also it doesn't take the color for the symbol from the dwg template file.Is there a way to do it in one file?thanks in advance

Georeferencing a raster through the center point

Hi guys. I have 2 images (.jpg) and 2 center point (lat, long). I would like to georeferencing these imagens using like reference these points. I tried RasterGeorreferencer, but there are 2 options only. By Extends and PointAndAngle.Using PointAndAngle it necessary to put X upper Left Coordinate and Y Upper Left Coordinate. How to extrude a object (for example rectangle) along a 3D path so I'll get a solid

I would like to extrude an object, for example a rectangle along a path. So I have a 2D object and a 3D path. In C3D I can do this with the command 'sweep'. And I would like to have an output like this (solid):who could help me please? 😃 Or somebody could have another possibility, all lines are offsets from 1 centerline

Hi Guys, I have closed multipacth building models. What I would like to do is distinguish verticals (i.e walls) from horizontals (i.e roofs). I tried to deaggregate geometry and calculate the vertical area of features (hoping to identify walls) but instead of getting vertical, I have verticals with horizontal components (like L shape surfaces). I was wondering if anyone knows a better solution to this problem ? Regards, Engin

Is the FME translation log window limited to 1000000 lines? Also, are there limitations to the size of the physical log file (the translation stalled at 532944 kb)

Hi folks,I developed an FME workspace that connects to an api service. The workspace is quite elaborate, but in its basics its sends (calculation) jobs to an api, periodically requests a status update from the api to see which jobs completed, and downloads the results for all jobs that are completed. If I look at the FME workspace I see that in total 5469 (calculation jobs) were initialized, and it seems that the monitoring process has identified 590 jobs to complete. If I however manually request a new status from the api, it seems that (nearly) all jobs in fact completed, but many did so after the latest time instant that was logged during the translation (2020-09-18 17:41:26). Also if I look in my resultFiles folder for the jobs that were downloaded, I see that the latest resultFile was downloaded at 18-09-2020 17:41... I notice that the workspace indicates to be still running, but there doesn't seem to be any progress anymore. If I look at the translation log within workbench,

Error using RasterGeoreferencer on JPG with point and angle from CSV

I have a JPG image and a CSV file with data that can be used to geo-reference it (attached).I've built a Workspace to apply the geo-referencing data to the JPG. AttributeManager makes FactorY a negative number as I found I needed to do this when working out the process using ArcGIS. In the RasterGeoferenencer, I've selected the relevant fields from the CSV file as shown in the screenshot. OutX and OutY are the Ordnance Survey Eastings and Northings.When I run the Workspace in FME 2017.0.1.1 (64-bit), I get the following error:2017-06-08 15:39:10| 0.8| 0.0|ERROR |@GeoreferenceRaster: Failed to retrieve X Upper Left Coordinate parameterI've tried setting the coordinate system on the JPG Reader and/or the CSV Reader, and setting OutX and OutY to x_coordinate and y_coordinate in the CSV Reader and then as real32. None of these make a difference.Any ideas?
