Features extracted from IFC with no identified CRS need to be exported to OBJ - but the output appears stretched along the Z axis

I'm trying to convert various features of an IFC file to OBJ files. I'm able to do the entire transformation up to the point where I save the OBJ files, but it seems that the coordinates are in a projected CRS, evident from the very large X and Y coordinates. I have tried using a CommonLocalReprojector transformer (with a FeatureHolder just before it to make sure the transformation is done relative to the entire feature set):But the models appear stretched when I view them in Blender. Quite drastically. You can see that the doors are much taller than they should be, based on their width to height ratio:The only geographic information I really have from this file is RefLongitude and RefLatitude. But like I said, the coordinates themselves appear as large X and Y values, at least after being read from FME Does anyone have any idea on how I can fix this?

The below shown image polygon is generated from 4 lines and the big vertical line's top and bottom portion of polygon should be smooth like shown below expected output. Please can suggest the workflow to achieve the result. Input Expected output

Have a question about working with multiple geometries exporting from SW 5.2.3 database to a SW 5.1.2 database.

We are using FME 2017.1 to transfer facilities from one company to another going from a SW 5.2.3 database to a SW 5.1.2 database. I can connect to the SW 5.1.2 Gas_transmission dataset from the SW 5.2.3 session. When setting up my Workspace, I have multiple geometries being exported like gt_line_loop (beg_location, end,location, route_satellite and route_aerial). Iff I have 11 records that I am exporting from SW 5.2.3, I will have 4 sets in the reader (11 per geometry). If I just run a straight tranlastion, I end up 44 gt_line_loop records being inserted into the SW 5.1.2 database. I only want 11 records to be imported/inserted. I did an AttributeCreator and created sworld_geometry{0}.sworld_name for beg_location. I set up another AttributeCreator sworld_geometry{1}.sworld_name for end_location. I crete and Aggregator and do it on ID and Merge Attributes. I run translation and it appears to work fine. I get 11 records with beg_location and end_location populated. I

I'm getting different size output files when using the clipper transformer

I have a workspace that is supposed to clip a bunch of DEM's and DSM's to the same boundary. Unfortunately the outputs from the clipper transform are slightly different in size which causes me problems later on in the workspace as I need the DEM and DSM for the same clipping boundary to be the exact same size. I've tried toggling the settings for the clipper but I haven't had any success. Any suggestions is much appreciated. Below are some screenshots. I would think having the preserve clippee extents set to no would solve my problem but it doesn't.

Is there a way to cut a single shape format line in multiple lines, that may overlap ?

Hello,I have 2 shape files that i need to intersect, one is a long line, the other is a set of points that I know are on the line. I want to cut the line into smaller ones, but not in a way that PointOnLineOverlay would work, as it cuts it in segments, which we can not choose the length of.I want to the line cut on each point, and make the lines resulting a certain length in each direction before and/ or after the point, in a way that they overlap partially one onto another.Have a great day

Export a localized point on a map with background

Hello !I would like to know if it is possible to have a mapping background on which is situated a localised point, as shown in image below ? I have more than a hundred located points and I need to generate automatically this kind of map in PDF format if possible, on which there shall be TEXT inserted such as title, XY cordinates and a jpeg photo. Writing Portal for ArcGIS (or AGOL) image attachments to SDE - relationship class ok but image is not valid

Hi,I am copying a Portal hosted feature service to our internal Oracle SDE database.The relationship class is written ok and I can see that the correct attachment is associated with the parent table. However the image is not valid when I try to open it via ArcGIS Pro or ArcMap.I've read a lot of forum posts including this one but I still haven't got it working. Does anyone have an example with the last steps on how to get the downloaded attachment (binary data) into a SDE jpeg attachment that I could take a look at?Or outline the order of the transformers Binarydecoder, rasterreplacer (I see the raster in inspector, only if I use the decoder first), AttributeFileWriter (you write the file to a disk but not the database - do you use the AttributeFileReader to read it again and write to an attribute in the attachment table?) Any ideas would be appreciated. Thanks in advance,Annette

Date and Time fields get modified with AttributeManager transformer.

I have spreadsheets with Date and Time fields. I assign them to a Reader in FME 2018 and funnel them through AttributeManager. When I check the output that comes out of the Writer, I see that the Date and Time fields have been modified. I have tried to find a setting in the Reader and transformer which would prevent these fields from changing so I don't have to use the DateTimeConverter. Does anyone have suggestions? The only solution I have found is to change the field in Excel to concatenate Date and Time. Then this field stays the same after the AttributeManager transformer. However, some of my spreadsheets don't have a time metric, just date. Thoughts?

How to utilize OAuth2 (and other) protected services ?

Hi list.I have next to no knowledge of what OAuth2 entails, other than it being a security protocol.A customer wants to use OAuth2 when exposing a WFS and/or an Esri Feature Service to us, and we want to use FME (Server) to fetch the data.Both desktop and server have a facility for custom "web connections", and here you can create both "Esri ArcGIS Portal" (w/OAuth2) and a straight up "OAuth2 Service" connections, but how do I utilize them when reading data ?Are there any in-depth resources available that covers this area ?CheersLars I

I'm looking to iterate through a transformer that only accepts one input at a time.

I'm trying to compute a CHM (canopy height model) by using the rastercellcalc transformer by having it subtract a DEM from a DSM. The process works fine when only one DEM and DSM are passed through to the transformer at a time however I have these DEM/DSM's clipped to multiple smaller files. The CHM produced should have the same boundaries as the inputted DEM and DSM. I've tried using the group by parameter in the transformer however it doesn't work for some reason and still tells me that the raster rows and columns don't match. See images below:The attribute manager and trimmer transformers just create a shared attribute between the correct DSM and DEM tiffs tiffs so that the rastercell transformer can do group by "Tile_name). How can I see several layers in the Data Inspector?

I run my workbench with feature caching on and I want to evaluate my result. i.e display both my polygon layer together with my lines to evaluate that my lines has been clipped properly. When clicking on the green magnifying glass only that layer open in data inspector. But I want add any numbers of layers into the same view.

How do I disable inspector when running workspacerunner?

I am running a workspace with a workspacerunner and every time it finishes it opens an inspector. It always takes focus and I cannot do anything else as it continuously pops up.

3D DWG surface to 2D polygon

Hi all, I have a 3D mesh in a DWG file (3D surface of a pavement) and want to convert its footprint to a single polygon in an Esri file gdb polygon feature class (for use in 2D GIS). Can ignore all attribute information. Tried following this post but without luck (I think I need more detailed instructions re settings for each transformer). Anyone here able to help me? Hi, I converted a raster image with the RasterPaletteGenerator. The new file can be easily filtered in QGIS using the Raster calculator (I only want one value out of the 255). However, I cannot find an equivalent tool in FME. Thanks for your help. Os

I've tried using the raster selector but it always fails (probably because I do not know how to correctly introduce the parameters)I am attaching a print screen of the Raster Calculator from QGIS with the "Expression" I used to filter my raster image. Thanks

Reading ADF ArcGrid files

I'm having trouble reading a collection of .ADF ArcGrid files. The error I'm getting has been attached. The log file seems to indicate it is looking for a file named W001001.adf. But as you can see from the 2nd screenshot (data) showing the files, W001001.adf is not one of my files. I'm not sure where this is coming from. What could be causing this?

Hi, We are collecting data with Esris Survey 123 and I would like to export the data within the shapefile (table) to specific cells within a excel template. With our gathered data we would like to make excel reports where different data ends up in different single cells within the worksheet. Anyone who has a simple smart solution for this?
