Hello people!!! I have this one serious problems in regards to the workbench. The process went smoothly and I get the results I want but there seems to be one Writer Data not shown and I tried so many ways to make it appear but none happened.. UTF-8 Problem when using XSLT-Processor

Hi, I think, there's a bug in FME 2020.1. It's not possible to get an UTF-8 encoded result if I use the XSLTProcessor with UTF-8 encoded xml-doc as attribute and UTF-8 encoded embedded xslt-stylesheet attribute.The XSLT-definition has also "<xsl:output method="xml" encoding="UTF-8" indent="yes" version="2.0" />" included. Hello, I would like to know how can I convert GML data to geodatabse without missing my Information in attribute table

I created a work space with reader and writer and transformers but at the end when I get the result there are many fields which are "Null". I also used the template in the FME hub and got the same result. that would be great if any one helps me with this issue.

MsWord Writer table - Error

Hi,I'm facing a strange situation with MsWordStyler and Word Writer. I need to add a table to create a report from a feature. If I don't use a template, I can chose different styles for a table with the styler. The output of the table is correct. Trying to use a template, the only option to use a template is to select "Normal Table" as table style. Any other style produce the following error:"Microsoft Word Writer: Rejecting Feature. The msword_type value 'msword_table' is invalid. Please use a MSWordStyler prior to this writer to set the msword_type attribute". Is there some hints or best practices to follow creating the template?Paragraph and image work fine with the same template.ThanksRoberto

Buenos días, soy nueva en FME, tengo una duda sobre WorkspaceRunner.

Utilizo WorkspaceRunner para lanzar otro proyecto por lotes, lo pongo en marcha mediante un archivo excell donde le digo donde están las rutas y el orden en el que tiene que buscar. Debería darme como resultado 54 Shapefiles, pero sólo me da el primero bien y luego sigue trabajando sin dar ningún error hasta el final pero sin escribir ningún archivo más. Alguien sabe cuál puede ser el error?Muchas gracias por las respuestas.

exporting FME settings

I have moved to a new machine and have had to install FME on the new machine. Is there a way of exporting all my settings and database connections to install on my new machine or do I have to set it all up from scratch again?

workspace disappeared from my local drive !! and no I did not delete it ?

Hi all, Something strange happened. I was working on a my FME workspace this afternoon and after I was done working I closed it normally, however later tonight I started FME and to my surprise I couldn't find that workspace along with few other workspaces in my local drive. this is really strange...Any suggestions on how to recover those files even if they are deleted by system or by some virus...Thanks H

I am trying to use the Microsoft Dynamics 365 web connection in FME. I am unsure what username and password need to be input. I was working with one of our administrators of the product and he provided me the organization, client id, client secret, and resource. But he thought that user name and password were no longer used to connect to a D365 API. I'm trying to connect to non-spatial data in Dynamics and then write data from it into postgres. We're going to use FME to convert lat/long columns to geometry and add a spatial index while the data is in-flight.

Convert FME workspace into a Geoprocessing tool in ArcPro with the parameter enabled functionality (choose different variable and calculating fields) !!

I want is to make an ArcPro Geoprocessing tool from FME workspace that would have functionality for user to input different values for certain variables and do calculations (just like any geo processing tool in ArcPro tool box).I am able to create a Spatial ETL tool in ArcPro and link workspace with that tool, however I am struggling to find a way to make that add different variables as parameters that user can choose or calculate values from. I would really appreciate the help on this subject and surprisingly I haven't been able to find much material online as well (or maybe I am looking at the wrong place). ThanksH

I am translating point geometries from Smallworld to Cells in MicroStation. I need to be able to capture the scale of the Smallworld object and use it to scale the Cell in MicroStation the same amount.

I selected the sworld_scale on the feature type properties attributes in hopes that would take care of it, however I cannot seem to find an appropriate Target Attribute in the AttributeCopier Parameters.

FME workspace gets stuck when running through task scheduler

I have an FME workspace that I have set to run on a scheduled day/time etc through the Windows Task Scheduler. This worked fine, but recently the following happens:the workspace does start to run, but gets stuck at some point while reading the data (Usually 3 minutes in to a workbench that runs about 30 minutes normally)this is more or less at the same point in time where FME creates a ffs logfile.the task scheduler doesn't show that the task failed, it shows that everything went fine (task result = (0x0))the regular workspace logfile just shows the process stuck somewhere at reading something that does issue a warning. I checked and the workspace is set to keep running through warnings. Like I mentioned, everything used to work fine. The machine we run it on is an Azure machine. The tasks is set to run on a time when I'm normally not logged onto the machine. When I do log on to the machine and run the task manually on the task scheduler, everything seems to work fine. Curves error from the dissolver

I am using the dissolver to aggregate and dissolve area polygons grouping them by an ID. I am getting the error below but when I test the incoming geometry it is all areas. 2020-09-13 14:27:09|20366.8| 54.1|FATAL |Expression: !isPoly || curve->isClosed2D() Any ideas how this can be resolved?Thanks

create personalised grid

Hi!I'm looking for create a specific grid over my datas. It's not a standard grid with rows and columns. I would like to have polygons with the same areas and put them along my datas. The polygons have to be joined and no have superposition. The datas have to be centered (or almost), the idea is to have maximum datas on the polygon and not just a little bit.After I would like to create numbering based on the order of these polygons. I tried with 2Dgridcreator and spatialfilter with my datas convert on a polygon (hullreplacer), but I have a lot of polygon with few data and a lot of empty. On the capture, that I would like to obtain. Do you have an idea? Thanks!

Cannot update Oracle table using Feature Operation in Oracle Non Spatial Writer, DatabaseUpdater works fine

Has anyone ever encountered an issue with applying updates to an Oracle Non Spatial database using the writer and fme_db_operation? Have a number of records exiting a ChangeDetector that are a mix of inserts and updates. If there are any updates, the workspace hangs and fails to complete. Applying the updates using the DatabaseUpdater works fine and the process completes in 20ish minutes. Is there anything in the Writer that I might be missing before I rejig the workspace? There are 6 match columns (there is a 6 part primary key that also references these columns) The process should be making a couple of hundred updates to a table of ~1.5 million records. If there are updates present, the logging stops as soon as the first feature hits the writer and never progresses (left 14+ hours) FME 2019.2.3.1

How can I extract XML stored in a CLOB?

I have a database table. This table has an attribute "TEKST" which contains the XML as a CLOB. My questions is, how can I, with FME, extract the XML from the CLOB so that I can process it like any other XML file? Many thanks in advance! :)

CityGML writer created the following line automatically. <core:CityModel xmlns:brid="http://www.opengis.net/citygml/bridge/2.0" ..... I would like to change the text after <core:CityModel to other text.Could you tell me the procedure?

How do I replace a single quote with 2 x single quotes when passing parameters to a stored procedure?

I have the requirement to grab some data from a SQL Server Database and row by row (so granular error logging can be performed) use a stored procedure to insert that data into another table. However, when calling the stored procedure to perform the insert I need to escape the single quote character (') by replacing it with 2 x single quotes. I have tried using the StringReplacer transformer but when it comes to using the re-formatted string as the input for the stored procedure it does not seem to pull through at all, the SQLExecutor Transformer loops through all the records correctly but when calling: EXECUTE [dbo].[InsertData] @Value(contact_number), '@Value(title)', '@Value(first_name)', '@Value(middle_names)', '@Value(surname)', '@Value(address_1)', '@Value(address_2)', '@Value(address_3)', '@Value(address_4)', '@Value(town)', '@Value(county)', '@Value(postcode)', '@Value(country)',

Adding Annotation MicroStation / PowerRail / OpenRoads to profiles

Totally new to FME but at a previous company I worked at I heard that you can annotate models with text. We are working on a project which requires profiles to be annotated with specific names at given coordinates. Wrong bounding pixels when transforming LAZ to raster with RasterDEMGenerator

Hi all!I want to transform a .laz file (attached) to raster, specifically the buildings and soil entities so prior to the RasterDEMGenerator I use the point cloud splitter and the attribute filter to get the ones that have 6 and 2 values. The problem is that the output raster has a one-cell-wide frame with incorrect values all around. Zoom: Regarding RasterDEMGenerator, I have tried different values in both cell spacing and surface tolerance parameters, as well as all three interpolation methods and the frame stills there.Just removing the frame with the RasterSubsetter is not an option as eventually I will have to merge it with adjacent others and would leave a space without data where they should be touching.
