I have a dataset that includes 'from' and 'to' values in separate columns. The 'from' column contains latitude and longitude coordinates. Both 'from' and 'to' values are unique.My question is: How can I create a line that connects the 'from' and 'to' values in FME? I would like to visualize the connection between these points using a line geometry.Any guidance or suggestions on the workflow or transformers to use would be greatly appreciated.Thank you in advance for your help!

I have a string column containing lake names in the format ''Blue, Lake'' and I would like to reverse the format to ''Lake Blue''. I somehow can't find a way to reverse a string at the comma.  Is there an easy way to accomplish this using string functions in FME ?

I have a large set of featureclasses that need to be run into a workspace, one at a time because loading the dataset all at once will make my FME workspace terminate because the memory is full. I have used workspacerunner on a folder with multiple csv files, which solves the memory problem. But I can't figure out how to do a simular thing with multiple featureclasses. I wouldnt mind if the featureclasses need to merged into one and the input the first xx number of features into the workspacerunner. If that is even possible.

Hi Everyone,I was hoping to find a definitive guide explaining how to use CI/CD automation with FME. Right now we have very few workspaces and so we use a manual process to deploy FME things in production. We use Publications, Schedules, Subscriptions, workspaces, data files (for passwords), database connections, etc. I looking for instructions to help with following:Integration with a source control like GIT so that we have versioning set upA guide/tutorial that can explain how to automate deployment of all things FME. If something cannot be deployed via automation, I would like to know that as well.Any pointers on automated testing of FME workspaces/schedules once they are deployed in an environment.

Hey there. I'm going through the FME academy course on becoming a certified desktop & server professional and I'm running into an issue with the training when I get to exercises. My organization only has FME 2019 since that's what our server is currently running in, which means that whenever I download an exercise the format is for newer versions of FME (2022+, I believe). Some transformers are preserved whenever I open the files, but others are not (AttributeManager is always incompatible, for example). Are there ways to access older modules for the same course that I can use, at least when it comes to the exercises?  Thanks!

Hey,I'm trying to download photos from ArcGIS Portal. I enabled attachment and use the RasterReplacer. I get an error though. fme_rejection_message (string: UTF-8): @GeometryFormat: Failed to read feature.  The error was: 'An error has occurred. Check the logfile above for details' fme_rejection_code (string: UTF-8): INVALID_FEATURE_CANNOT_READ_BLOBEverything works good on ArcGIS Online. Any idea why? Thanks !

I try to make a custom transformer to do linear referencing of point features to a maximum of 10 polylines. Inputs are point features and polyline features with or without measurements. The custom transformer would output a list with the combination _kp{0}.KP, _kp{0}.DCC, _kp{0}.selectedRoute. The KP is the distance along the polyline, DCC is the perpendicular distance to the polyline (negative values on LEFT side of the polyline, positive on the RIGHT side), and selectedRoute name is the name of each polyline. At the end of the custom transformer FME shows the list being created for each feature, but it can not be used in the attributemanager following the custom transformer.

I'm currently using a CSV reader, Database Joiner and ESRI Geodatabase Writer. The join is working perfectly:  But when I connect the joined output to the geodatabase writer no records are written to the feature class in the file gdb and I get an error saying "Cannot write a non-area feature to an area feature class": I have tried both Drop and Create and Truncate Existing for Table Handling.  Any suggestions are greatly appreciated.

I am trying to read in two separate .dwg files, make changes, assign layer names with Feature Writer inputs, and then output to a single .dwg file. But, the data is not combined and it outputs two files from their respective reader instead.My hunch is that the Feature Writer is seeing different schemas coming in, but I can't figure out how to combine. This is one of those "seems easy, what am I missing" issues..I guess?

Hi all. I currently have a workspace that simply downloads some data from a SQL server, puts it threw some geometry checks and then finally uploads the .gdb to an S3 bucket. I would like the final output to be a zip file rather than the .gdb but cannot get it to work. If i change the final output in the S3 connector a zip file is created but it is blank. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Here is a screenshot of my process: 

Hello am running my FME workbench on one of my colleagues system with FME trial version (without ArcGIS) and I have full FME 2022.2 version(ArcGIS installed on system).   Getting this error : Parameter file was ..... any workaround that FME workbench to run without ArcGIS.  

I have 2 PointClouds I want to merge their components using PointCloudMerger, however their x,y,z and coord values differ. They both represent scan of same building, but one has been set with global coordinates. I have applied Reprojector/CommonLocalReprojector but their location still differ. How do I change one of the PointCloud x y z values to be same other than forcefully changing it? And if I must change them by force what type are their in (Real64, Uint64, Int64, ...) ? Alternatively, how can I pass the component value from each point to other point cloud through an index method as both Point Cloud have same number of points and should have same index.   

My question is quite simple but I am a new user in FME. Well, I am going through this process in FME workbench to find percentage of land cover classes excluding water bodies.​General process:1- Using selected land cover Shapefile and only consider Grassland (class 30) and cropland (class 40) classes​2- Using selected tiles to extract the percent of targeted vegetation (grassland+cropland) referred to the whole classes except water(class 80)​3- Select tiles having at least 1% or 0.5% of the targeted vegetation. For info, 1% corresponds to 10 000 ha​Below, you can find my fme workflow that it does not work for percentage calculation.​I thank you in advance for your guide and feedback.

I have got data as below  AssetID X Y Z A. 0 0 1B. 1 0 0C. 0 1 0D. 1 0 1E. 4 5. 6F. 9. 8. 7G. 6. 9. 5  am able to extract max of each row min of each row  how to obtain medium of each row as simple as possible ?  am using @max ( value of x , value of y, value z)@min ( value of x , value of y, value z)  medium ?????( plz note it’s not average or median of 3 value ) It’s exactly absolutely value the same as it is in excel files.   

I ran a workbench that reads data from .xlsx spreadsheet into a MS Access database (.mdb) table. I got this single error message:"Failed to read the metadata for 2D rendering" I have never seen this before, any ideas on what it means and a fix? I am using FME Desktop Version 2021.2.6 (Build 21821).

According to them, "on Windows, you must have the Visual C++ 2015 build tools on your path".I downloaded Visual Studio Code Build Tools 2022, but I now lack of knowledge to understand what the necessary step-by-step is to make such library available in FME when using the PythonCaller.Could anyone give me some help?
