I am new to FME Server.  I have a workspace that I published to FME Server. It reads from an Excel spreadsheet, and writes to a File Geodatabase and Access Database.  The data for the reader and writers reside on separate servers, they are not loaded into FME Server.  Can someone take a look at the screenshot and let me know if the Published Parameters are correct? I seem to recall that for the spreadsheet (see red arrow in the screenshot), does there need to be a parameter added to replace the UNC path? What you see in the screenshot is how the workspace was published into FME Server from FME Desktop.  Do I need to add the UNC paths shown in the screenshot as Resources? Can someone explain or point me to a link that explains this process? Can I keep the UNC paths for the File Geodatabase and Database Path or do I need to replace these with an FME Parameter as listed here:https://docs.safe.com/fme/html/FME-Form-Documentation/FME-Transformers/!Transformer_Parameters/FME_parameters.htm  

I am trying to mosaic 228 ECW tiles into one uniform image using RasterMosaicer transformer. The individual tiles are quite large as the 228 individual tiles together are 15GB. I am finding the process using RasterMosaicer extremely slow and is taking close to 24 hrs to complete using FME desktop. Just wondering what the best method is to mosaic these tiles and have a resulting image equal to the size of the individual input tiles, 15GB...or less.

I have 3 workspaces; they need to be run like this:​1st to be run is workspaceA, 2nd to be run is workspaceB, 3rd to be run is workspaceC.​I know in Scheduler I can set each to run for example: ​workspaceA runs at 905p, workspaceB runs at at 910p, workspaceC runs at 915p.​But, this approach poses a risk that if workspaceA fails during its run, workspaceB and workspaceC will still run and that could corrupt my data. It seems more prudent that if, for example, workspaceA fails to run that workspacesB and C will not run.​What is the best way to deal with this situation using FME Server? ​Should I create a new workspace using FMEJobSubmitter Transformer or add FMEJobSubmitter Transformer to the workspaceA, B, and C?​​

I am trying to get from a table like this example:to this table:I have searched for answers but can't fully seem to get where I need to be- including trying variations of attribute transposer, attribute exploder, attribute exposer, and attribute pivot (this helped me get closer to the answer but didn't allow for text..). Hello FME community, I am currently working on a deep learning project that involves preparing training samples for building polygons.  I have the building polygons in an OGC GeoPackage file with Coord.System EPSG: 26916, as shown in following screenshot:  Additionally, I have the PNG aerial images for the same area without projection, which means every aerial image X,Y starts from the upper left (0,-0) and ends at the lower right (2000,-2000) as shown in following screenshot: I need to have the polygons of the training sample in pixel coordinates for each corresponding image. The output should be a CSV file that includes the vertices of every polygon in pixel coordinates as shown in following screenshot:  I have attached the datasets for better understanding.Does anyone have any ideas or potential solutions?

I have created a workspace, successfully ran it in FME Desktop. I published it to FME Server. I built the schedule.  I have admin rights to all the servers. ​The workspace reads from a File GDB on another server and writes to a File GDB on a different server. In FME Desktop I am able to make connections to the folders which these GDBs reside. Can FME be used to start and stop a geocoding service? if this is possible I would like to create a workbench that does this on a schedule eventually using FME Server.  Can someone provide me some pointers on where I should start?

Dear All, Here is my issue with the FindString() function : I have the following string stored in user parameter value_to_test = "101,102" ; the attribute "ProgNum" contains values that range from 100-900 and I want to set a new attribute "FoundNum" to be = "true" when "ProgNum" is one the (comma-separated) values of value_to_test. As FindString(string,strToFind) should return the index in string that matches strToFind , I've tried the following expression :@FindString($(value_to_test),@Value(ProgNum))I have also tried the FindStringRegularExpression@FindRegularExpression($(value_to_test),@Value(ProgNum))None of the them is working ! Quite despaired I've also tried to revert $(value_to_test) and @Value(ProgNum) in the function call, but it does not work better... Does anyone have an explanation what it is not working and what I am doing wrong ?? Thanks in advance NB : I know that I could work with AttributeSplitter etc. but I would like to know why the FindString and FindRegularExpress

Dear all,I am using a CSV reader to read my data from csv file. I have a column that contains almost only integer except 5 values, that contain a letter (e.g. 12a or 12b). Unfortunately the reader set the Type of this attribute to uint32, and the values that contain a letter are set to Null... So I loose this information...It seems that in older versions of FME there was possible to choose "Manual" for "Attribute definition" parameter. But I doesn't see this option in the 2022.1 version of FME.How could I do then to force this column to be read as a string ?I've seen that it is possible to specify manually attribute types in the FeatureReader, but could I use this transformer to read a file ? (I set the file path in the parameter, but I don't know what to pass in input, and the output is empty)  Thanks in advance for any help

I have an SDE with a point feature class that has 120k locations across the entire US. I can read those points in with a normal reader, but it takes a long time ~5 minutes and I really only need to return 100 out of those 120k points.  Which 100 changes depending on the input of an excel reader. I pull in a list of 10 or 20 points from an excel sheet, take a 2 mile buffer around those points, and then spatial join that to the big list from SDE. Those 10 to 20 points could be anywhere in the US.  Is there a transformer that will let me read in my 10-20 points, then make a query to SDE/SQL with a transformer based on the location, so that I'm only asking the database for the records I need? That way I am not pulling in the rest of the 100k+ records.  Right now I am thinking I can take the lat long coordinates from the excel input and create a bounding box of sorts to query the SDE point feature class. I have followed this pattern of a workflow for years, where I maintain attribute names and data types in a spreadsheet for different databases, and I import those names and values using the Import... dialog within the AttributeCreator as one of the last steps of a data workflow.​When I import values, here's what I usually have in the AttributeCreator:​Output Attribute Valueattribute{0}.name AreaNameattribute{0}.fme_data_type fme_varchar(64)​Now that the AttributeCreator has a data type in the dialog, should I still follow this pattern?  How does this new data type parameter work with dynamic workflows?

Trying to install on my mac, silicon version. Have uninstalled one version completely. New version still has the same bug. When loading a package, going to database connections etc: Failed to install web service '/Users/xxx/Library/Caches/Safe Software/FME/Packages/23319-macosx-aarch64/PackageFiles/safe-lab.genai/web_services/OpenAI.xml'. Reason: Unable to read from file '/Users/xxx/Library/Caches/Safe Software/FME/fme_publicKey.fmeks', No such file or directory (Code 2) I checked for the folder and it doesnt exist. 

I have multiple site template polygons, with various dimensions. Let's say I have 2 polygons that are 100' x 100' and 200' x 200'. I then have multiple parcels that I need to see if any of the site templates fit inside the parcel polygons, no matter the orientation of the site. What would be the best method to determine this? The outcome would be finding which site template, if any, would fit and the orientation within the parcel polygon.

Hello,  As part of an application I am developping, I am using the FME Flow API to submit a job asynchronously (using the webservice POST /transformations/submit/< repository >/< workspace >).  I have also created a specific webservice used in the workspace runned on FME Flow so it can communicate specific information about the result of the workspace to my application.  I would like to know if there is a way to use the jobid returned in the response body of webservice POST /transformations/submit/< repository >/< workspace > in my workspace so that it can be passed as a user parameter in the HTTPCaller used to call the webservice I have developped.  It would be very usefull for me so that I could create a link between the job sumitted on FME Flow and the information it sends back to my application using the webservice I have developped.  I remain at your disposal for any additional information.  Best regards,

Hello , i have xml document schema ,that includes subtypes .I have exported it from arc catalog  in FME my input is arcsde ,i have used quick translator to convert it from arcsde to file geodatabase ,in configure parameters I have used the schema xmlI have read in article this is the way to get subtypes in file geodatabase to use schema xml .But after checking the file geodatabase by ArcGis pro ,does not include any subtype . How could I get file geodatabase include subtypes ? FME 2021

Brand new to FME server, and i've only really worked with outgoing REST API calls before in general. What i have is a workspace that is parsing emails and picking out specific data that is then packaged based on conditions and sends out an REST POST request to another platform. The packaged data going out becomes an actionable item in the other platform, and i want to have users be able to click a button to respond to the action item and have that come back to FME Server (i assume it'd be a post request) where i can write to a table some related data. i'm not sure how to "listen" for incoming REST requests? i've read through the v3 documentation and it is pretty likely that i missed it, but i'd love it if someone could help me out?

I'm having a custom transformer that needs an URL as input for API calls, so I made it a user parameterHowever if I take the value from an attribute, that value is lost after another custom transformer that contains a list builder. If the value comes from another user parameter (set in the main), there is no issue:This is the setting by taking the url from an attribute (table shows the output from a parameter fetcher inside the custom transformer after the list builder CT) This is how it is by taking the value from another user parameter (+ output from same parameter fetcher): Is this a bug? Am I missing something?How could I solve this in a performant way?Is there a way to change a value from a user parameter to an attribute value? Say I define user parameter "URL" as private one and leave it empty. After I deduct what the URL should be (fetched from a database), can I add the fetched value to the empty user parameter?
