Set output keys based on input body from a HTTP Caller

Hello, I have a FME Server Automation with a Manual Trigger. This FME Server Automation is triggered via the FME Server REST API in a HTTP Caller. I would like to know if it is possible to set the Output key values (Manual or otherwise) of the Manual Trigger via the body parameter of the HTTP Caller.And if it is possible, what kind of body should you send? I did find out you can set these in FME Server when you trigger the Automation in the Web UI(Start Automation -> Trigger) when the Manual Trigger parameter of the automation "Prompt for JSON on Trigger" is checked. Then you can set the values for the (Manual) Output Keys. This however can't be used in my process. Thanks in advance,

Spatial Join of Points with Lines

I have Lines (13,000 Street Centerlines) and Points (7,000 Intersections). I want to do a spatial join of the Lines and Points so that the attributes of each point is merged with the 1 to 4 lines that intersect each point. I just started using FME, after completing the training last month. What Transformer(s) would you recommend I use for this process? My goal is to have the lines each have the CROSS_ST_NAMES field which is in the points layer be joined to each line that intersects a point. In the points layer, the CROSS_ST_NAMES field has no <null> values, when they are merged with the lines there must be no <null> values. Below is a screenshot of what I am working with. Each line is a street centerline, each point is an intersection.

I would like to insert new z values in a polyline feature using the surfacedraper while maintaning the existing z values. A feature can have mutiple vertices with and without z values or a combination.

Errors every 10,000 records in FME Desktop 2022.0. How to fix this?

I have recently installed FME Desktop 2022.0 (Database edition – Build 22337 – WIN64) and want to migrate old workspaces to this latest version. I have a workspace that was written and runs in FME Desktop 2019.0 (Database edition). It reads in about 120,000 records via SQL Creator (non-spatial Microsoft SQL data format), does some transformations, and writes to a CSV file. It works perfectly in FME Desktop 2019.0. However, when I open and run the same workspace in FME Desktop 2022.0 it is not working correctly. I have tried this on Windows 10 Enterprise and Windows Server 2012 R2. I have tried with Feature Cache on and off. I have tried running as a batch process. I have tried running the workspace in 2022.0 unchanged (as a 2019.0 workspace). I have tried running the workspace in 2022.0 unchanged (as a 2022.0 workspace). I have tried running in 2022.0 with transformers upgraded to the latest 2022.0 versions. In all cases after every 10,000 records, several records are corrupted on the

How can I use variable database connections in fme server depending on the specific user parameter input? This works fine in desktop but not with server.

Hi,I have a workspace where I use the oracle database connections as a variable. This works fine. When a runs the workspace a published parameter determines which connection is used. But when I publish this on fme server. I get an authorisation failure: FME Server error: `Unauthorized request by user due to lack of proper permissions for connection: **@**. Iterate independently over files (and don't merge features)

Hello, I use a Reader to list files inside a directory, connected to a FeatureReader to read the features. Currently, all features of all files are merged. ie. if I have 100 files with 100 features each, the output of FeatureReader will be 10.000 features. Is it possible to iterate incrementally over each file, ie. to execute a pipeline independently for each input file, so that the FeatureReader will be executed 100 times with 100 output features ? Thanks!

Hello, Texture UV coordinates are not set in geometry if no texture is provided to AppearanceSetter. My use case is that texture is provided later in the pipeline (at render time). Is that a bug? Thanks.

Combine, tilling and compress las files without converting rel64 to int32

hi,I have a number of lidar files in LAS format. I’m using reading las, then combining them and tiling them, then writing zlas. Everything is OK except that I get a message that there is a value-converting from rel64 to int32. Is-it possible to get the results las files in rel64.

How to merge a list ointo separate attributes under one feature?

Hi new at this...I am trying to separate some data from a CSV separated by a comma and then merge it back into one feature, I can't work out how to merge the 4 results I get from each entry.

Extract (only) summation stats from FME log files ?

Hi,I have some FME workspaces, that investigate the recent FME log files from previous translations. This is done to uncover any problems in a rational way.I want to extract the statistics at the bottom, but the "|STATS |" string is used extensively thru-out the log file, and would completely swamp the output if this was the only search criteria (while reading as a TEXT file).Do anyone have a good idea how to extract just the summation details ?CheersLars I

I am working with a Revit model, I am trying to colour the model before creating a tileset. When I check the model in the FME Data Inspector I can see the colours in 2D but they are missing in 3D. And that's why I am not getting coloured tileset.

Here is my colour setter. I also tried GeometryColorSetter and it worked, but the coloured output is too bad. Random colours are spread so badly. @chrisatsafe @Hans van der Maarel @safesoftware safesoftware

Arbitrary transformer (ie. FeatureReader) as an entry point

Hello, I would like to use a FeatureReader as an entry point of my workspace.But only Reader can work. As a workaround, I use a Reader to read a dummy file (ie. an image) connected to a FeatureReader. Is it possible to choose an arbitrary transformer (ie. FeatureReader) as an entry point? Thanks!

I want to make a custom transformer with a geodatabase SDE table reader from a specific table, and some other transformers. But when i try to create it, the SDE reader is converted into an input of the custom transformer. Isn't it possible to have a fixed reader in a custom transformer?

Insufficient Memory - error 2

I have reviewed the recommended Virtual Memory settings in this post. But, my server is hosted in Azure. It has 32GB of physical memory, 4 cores, and has a dedicated 149GB drive for the pagefile that is managed by Azure. Still getting this error when reading in 5M well records from Enverus data to our SQL Server Enterprise Geodatabase (SDE). The FME version is the lates - 2022.1.3. Just upgraded from 2020.2.2. 2020.2.2 did not have this issue. To clarify - I have NOT made the suggested settings as Azure manages the pagefile and it is substantial.

It is possible to remove "FME_MF_DIR" from User Parameters?

My parameter says this.$(FME_MF_DIR)\\CF\\PNM.sdeBut I want it to say this.C:\\Users\\USERNAME\\Desktop\\CF\\PNM.sde Can this be done? This is a problem because it breaks the connection when the workbench is put in different folder.

How to generate height lines with the same X, Y only in the third dimension using differences in Z coordinates?

I have two polyline features. One which is on the ground surface and one below the ground surface on the exact same location. I want to generate height lines for each Vertex generated by the differences in Z-coordinates of the corresponding vertices of the 2 polyline features.

I have a polyline dataset which contains asset types as attributes. Based on these different asset types I would like to subtract a value from the Z-coordinates so that the lines will be displayed at the correct depth.

I was thinking I can use an attribute filter to filter the different asset types and subsequently use a 3Dforcer to lay the different polylines on their correct depth. As an example I used the following parameters in the 3Dforcer for 1 attribute of the field asset type: Elevation: @ZValue()-1Preserve Z-values: No The result was as follows:1 polyline features has 3 vertices:Before translation: 1stvertex Z: 0,62ndvertex Z: 0,83th vertex Z: 1,0 After translation: 1stvertex Z: -0,22ndvertex Z: -0,23th vertex Z: -0,2 What I would like to have: 1stvertex Z: -0,42ndvertex Z: -0,23th vertex Z: 0 This translation provides a constant Zvalue based on some average of mutliple vertices. I want it to take intoaccount each individual Z and then substract the ammount specified.

Error Running DailyAverageQueuedTime.fmw

Hi, I am just exploring some of the standard dashboard features of FME Server 2021.2.3.0 (20220131 - Build 21812 - WIN64), I have got a couple working without any issues, and now I am unable to get the "DailyAverageQueuedTime.fmw" workspace to run, each time I get a warning: Path Reader: No files found in folder 'C:\ProgramData\Safe Software\FME Server\resources\dashboards\temp' using glob pattern '*.csv' with glob filter 'FILE'. No features will be readI have attached the full log file, has anyone seen this before, or do you know how to resolve? I am not sure what I should be looking for. Cheers
