Hello, I have a client who just installed the latest version of FME Form 2023.0.2.1 Build 23339 WIN 64 and when he runs a workspace, nothing shows up AT ALL in the translation log window. It remains completely blank. We tried using the Log File in the logging section of the Workspace Parameters and when we open this file in a text editor, it is not empty and shows the translation log as expected. I am starting to think it might be just a weird visual bug with FME Form 2023.0.2.1. Did anyone else experienced this bug in the past with 2023.x or any other version of FME Form? I added pictures to show what I mean by a "blank" translation log window and also my client's log settings and log file. Thank you.

For that, I need to get a token.With a OAuth 2.0 protocol, I know how to do but the protocol is not a OAuth 2.0 protocol. I just have a API key and my login ID Perhaps I have to enter these parameters in a HTTP Caller?I attach the API Documentation. Thanks for your help   

Currently I am moving from FME 2018 to FME 2022, but during the FME Desktop Advanced trailhead training it says that some transformers only have cosmetic changes. I want to know what the main, commonly used transformers which I can advise my team to always upgrade in their workbenches. Thank you in advance

Hi community, I've many postgres table in source, with differents structures. I would like to send them in Big Query, with, for each table, the same structure, so I thank to regroup source and regroup target to do that. But, I would like, transform the date format for each postgres field. In fact I know to do that with DateTimeConverter but I've to declare all field one by one. It is possible to do that with "all date fields" ? Thank you for your help.

HiI drew a simple shape with google my map and export it to kml in my browser then i convert it to dwg/dxf with FME quick translator to modify the shape with Autocad, but the original map stretches out and shows a wrong map, it also happens when i convert dwg/dxf files to kml or gpx.how can i fix it?

So when I place a reader und just look at the untransformed model it already has the wrong geometry. Changing the settings for stroking doesnt help. It seems like FME just doesnt like curved volumes, but that seems like a big lack in capability, which seems unlikely, because I havent found anything about this topic here. Is there a way my file can be read correctly or at least closer to the truth? The way it is now, I cant really use it. Here is an example:The color and height difference are intentional. What isnt, is that the lower object lost a few vertices compared to the higher one.

I have files in a folder. I want to select the files with a path_modified_date from the year prior. Example, if the path_modified_date contains "prior year" then zip these files. I know how to do the zip files part.  It is the If the path_modified_date contains "prior year" part that I am having trouble with. The files in question accumulate every year and I would like to set up an automation in FME Flow that runs every March and zips the files from the previous year. I know how to set up an automation. Here is what I have done so far in FME Form. The Tester passed if @Value(path_modified_date) Contains 2022; If I use this workbench as is, every year I want to run the workspace I would need to go in and manually change the Right Value in the Tester to the prior year. I want to know if there is a way where I can automate this portion?I added a Year field to Attribute Manager takes the left 4 digits (the year) from the path_modified_date field. Dear people, When using the Spatial Relator I get a list of "Spatial Predicates to Test" to choose from. This list is rather limited, it seems to me.  However, the documentation for this transformer describes a "Dimensionally Extended 9 Intersection Matrix (DE-9IM)" at the bottom. This offers more options. But, as far as I can see, the string representation of a DE-9IM is only output as a list attribute with the result. I haven't tried that yet, but I assume that the DE-9IM that comes out corresponds with what is chosen from the list for "Spatial Predicates to Test". Or does it give the exact spatial relationship according tot DE-9IM? Anyway, I would like to compose a string representation of a DE-9IM to use as a spatial test parameter in the Spatial Relator. Hi.I have some automations running on 2022.2.2, and had to do a small edit on one of them. Afterwards the automation failed badly.I found that all the workspace actions in the automation had been "cleaned", i.e. set back to their default (workspace) setting of parameters. All of them. And I hadn't edited any of them, just moved some connections.No wonder the automation failed badly, as I'm e.g. using automation writer features to pass information between the actions. And have some global settings too for good measure.Has anyone experienced something similar ?What might have caused this ?Cheers.

Starting out with feature reader, and I am definitely missing something. The input dataset has about 1,600 records. Why is the output at 366,458 (and counting) about 10% of the way through? Thank you,

I would like to convert ecw files into other raster formats, and since I do not know what output format other users prefer, I would like to provide a public user parameter with a list of available raster formats in FME, and use the parameter to specify the format used in the FeatureWriter. Looking at the FeatureWriter I cannot see the possibility of dynamic, or even a selection of output formats. It also seems rather cumbersome to get a list of all raster formats FME is able to write. Is there a possibility to tweak the FeatureWriter to take the format from a user parameter list?

In FME Server Notifications I used a JSON Reader to digest the incoming Topic Message and get at the relevant information to pass downstream in my translation. However when I try and create an Automation using the process the workspace fails with a 'file does not exist' error. How can I use the trigger event as JSON to run a workspace in Automations?

Reading/writing files(e.g .xlsx) from /into local drive not working in FME Flow 2023.0 (b23332) but FME Form does read/write the same files from local drive.

I have an excel file that does not have any merged cells. Any cell that is left blank is supposed to take the value from the previous row. I am trying to access each row of the excel data I read with pythoncaller. How can I do that         coulumnData = feature.getAttribute('Column1')        data = str(coulumnData).split()        for row in data:            print(row)and how do I read FLOAT values as well? I do not understand what kind of object is returned by feature.getAttribute. If I print coulumnData, it is printed nicely row by row. But, how do I access those row of data? I want to do something like         coulumnData = feature.getAttribute('Column1')        data = str(coulumnData).split()        print(data[10]) 

Hi, I would like to use FME in order to retrieve some data by sending HTTP request to a REST API.  A GET request can only retrieve 1000 entries per call and follow the FIFO method (First In, First Out). So I need to GET 1000 entries, process the data and then DELETE 1000 entries and start the cycle again until there is no data left. I setup a loop in FME:I've read on this forum that a blocking transformer can not be used in a loop without beeing exported, so I've exported the custom transformer GET_API that contains (.FMX): So each loop should produce 1000 features.Outside the loop it works well when I only send 1 request. But inside the loop I get this error message: HTTPCaller is blocking and cannot be used in a loop I can not use a CLONER or something like that since I don't know how many cycle is needed. Do you have another solution ? Is that even possible ?  

I have a workbench that goes as follows:Read in attributes from a CSV. Hi everyone!I'm new to FME and I have a question on how to group entries of a table based on two columns. This is the table:Now I want a new column with the group ID. It should look like this:Explanation:If the fruit is the same, they should belong to the same group --> Apples are in group 1.If the Buyer of group 1 also buys other fruits, then these fruits should also belong to group 1. -->Anna also buys Bananas, therefore Bananas belong to group 1 I tried different transformers, but did not find a solution. In Portal for ArcGIS 10.6.1 in the backups folder there is a walarchive folder. The files in this folder accumulate daily. Annually 14,000 files are created. Each year these 14,000 files together equal approximately 143GB. There is no setting to change this in 10.6.1.   Every January, for example, in order maintain a reasonable amount of disk space, I manually delete the 14,000 files from the prior year. It is a fairly straightforward task to delete these files, but I am starting to wonder if I could create a workbench and let FME do this.   The file names are random digits and sometimes a letter is included in the name. There does not seem to be a pattern to the file names. I cannot reference the file names in a workbench because of this.   The only way to identify which files to delete is by the Data Modified column in Windows File Explorer, example, delete all files between 1/1/2022 and 12/31/2022 would be a single year.   Here is what I would like to do in FME:  1) Select all files

I have the following problem: I have multiple csv files with multiple columns. I want to dynamically change which columns to read.I have a user parameter to define which columns to read.  Even though the " Attributes to Expose" Parameter of my FeatureReader gets updated correctly the Reader dosn't read the correct columns.Only after opening the properties of the Reader and closing it again by clicking "Ok" the Read reads the correct columns.  I'm using FME Desktop 2020.2.3.0 on Windows 10 Maybe someone can tell me if this is a bug or if I'm just overlooking something. Many thanks in advance !
