Hello, In my current project, i mostly use UTC datetimes, except for one process, where we need local time (Paris).  For example, i need to convert "2020-04-29 12:00:00" (UTC) to "2020-04-29 14:00:00" (local).  To convert my UTC datetimes, I could use the rule "+01:00:00 winter" and "+02:00:00 in summer". However, the day the times changes is never the same from one year to another.For example, in 2020, Winter time (one hour difference with UTC time) was adopted on October 25th, and Summer time (two hours difference with UTC time) was adopted on March 29th. In 2021, Winter time change will be adopted on October 31st and Summer time will be adopted on March 28th. Moreover, the conversion will not occur at the specified datetime ! This conversion could be run six months later, a year later… because we are processing data long after it was created. I have two point datasets, GPoints (~100 points) and OPoints (~1000 points), and I want to find the nearest neighbor for each GPoints entry. However, the nearest neighbor from OPoints must have an ID that matches the values from 2 possible columns in GPoints. In this case the column names are id1 and id2. E.g.The first entry in GPoints has values of id1 = 9001 and id2 = 9005. Therefore the nearest neighbor from OPoints must have an id of 9001 or 9005 (whichever is closest to the entry in GPoints current being analyzed). In SQL this would be WHERE OPoints.id = GPoints.id1 OR OPoints.id = GPoints.id2.

I have a polygonal tax lot feature class where about half of the features are being rejected from the Point On Area Overlayer Transformer with a rejection code of "INVALID_POLYGON_GEOMETRY_VERTICES". How do I fix these so they are recognized by the transformer?

I would like to apply a background mask to some of the text I'm writing to AutoCAD. Does FME expose a parameter for the DWG writer to enable the creation of a such a mask? This is standard, if uncommon, functionality in AutoCAD.

In the same workspace, I have 2 "lines" of attributes.I have to test an attribute value in line 1 to pass an attribute value of the line 2.I tried with an Aggregator, but all the attribute values are gone just after the Aggregator.Maybe it's just for geographical data.Is there another way?Or is it just my parameters in the Aggregator not right?

When I populate a FeatureReader with dynamically generated values containing the options I want, it works but not completely. It reads the parcel data I want, but returns no schema/attribute data:  If I manually fill in the values in the exact same reader. It produces the output I do want (I.E. the parcels and their data). This is super inconvenient since our process is based on the assumption that we will not have to populate workspace objects manually each time we run them. I feel like I am missing something fundamental here that will great enhance my understanding of FME. Please help me to understand why this behavior is happening. Any help pointing me to how I might get the automated values to generate the output I want would be greatly appreciated. Thank you for your time. Kim

I'm using FME Workbench 2022.2.24. In the window title and startup screen, it shows Workbench 2022.2, not the full version 2022.2.24. (I also have Workbench 2022.2 installed so this is confusing.) I would prefer seeing the full version number in both of these places. I haven't starting using FME Form 2023.x yet. Does anyone know if the behavior is the same?Should I post this as an Idea? It seems like a vey minor issue.

I tried to keep the same credentials to S3, but in the server side, the error points to the process doesn't have permissions to access the file. Does the server's user have to ask for reading privileges in the bucket?

Hi, I am trying to reduce texture resolution on a .obj model. This is what i have currently:The output at AppearanceSetter does not have any textures applied to it. I have tried connected AppearanceStyler to AppearanceSetter directly and it also does not work. So I am assuming that perhaps the way that I am setting the appearance is wrong. I have a database table that contains many attributes, one of which is controlled by a domain of acceptable values. I have a list containing a unique list of these valueI want to step through this list and each time through the loop select just the records from the table that would be selected if the unique value were inserted into in query:SELECT * FROM Table WHERE AttribInQuestion = WhateverColorFor instance, "Red" the first time through the loop would return:I've setup my Reader to read the SQL table I want to query, generated a List of my unique values, and created a TestFilter. The TestFilter works if I just type 'Red' into it, but I cannot figure out how to feed the filter a variable to save my life. I'm not asking about the looping (I've created a custom transformer for that), what I'm asking about is how to insert the 'Red' value into my filter using a variable? Thank you for any help you can provide. K

I have a workspace where permit data is joined to GIS data through a series of joins. That data is then written into separate feature classes. The 3 datasets in order are as follows BIN Join, BBL Join, a spatial join using the Point On Area Overlayer transformer. After all of these joins happen I'm dumping any remaining unjoined records into a point feature class called Fallout Points. However all of the records from the spatial join are ending up in the Fallout Points layer. How do I exclude them (or delete them after)?

Hello All, I have a Tester transformer that ideally produces no Failed outputs but I want to count the number of Failed outputs, even if its zero. I've tried a few things with no results. The Failed output from the tester doesn't seem to produce any data or if it does, I don't know how to access it. Thank you,Kevin

I have one dataset that has overlapping polygons. I want to advise the data owner of this and ask guidance for what to do when I come across these overlapping areas. I think the best way to do this is to show them all the overlapping areas. I was able to add on the overlap counts to each polygon (AreaOnAreaOverlayer) which is great, but what I really want is to create a new dataset with the overlapping areas. I have had a look at the AreaOnAreaOverlayer and Clipper. Is anyone able to provide further guidance or point out if I should be using a different transformer combination?

I am trying to use the string search command to extract the file names from a text string, Path attribute. by reverse searching the path string in order to establish the location of the last sub directory i.e. \\ @FindString(@Value(Path),\\,-0,caseSensitive=TRUE) The forward search works but I can't get the reverse (right to left) to work! using a negative startIdx

Is there a method to read all workspaces on a server ex. list all workspaces that have specific transformer or list all workspaces that have specific parameter.  Also, where are workspaces on a server? Is there a Folder for workspaces? Are they ascii readable? Thanks in advance

One thing I prefer to do when building a new FME tool is to log the input parameters in a startup python script in order to facilitate debugging when things go wrong. A sample of the code I use is below.import fmeobjects fmeobjects.FMELogFile().logMessageString("Input parameter 1: ") + FME_MacroValues["parameter1"], fmeobjects.FME_INFORM)fmeobjects.FMELogFile().logMessageString("Input parameter 2: ") + FME_MacroValues["parameter2"], fmeobjects.FME_INFORM)This has worked great for a long time, however it's cumbersome because I need to manually enter the names of the parameters. I'm curious if there is a method for returning the names of parameters dynamically in the startup python script, and then loop through them to include in the log file. If this is possible, I could keep my startup script the same between all tools and simply copy it into new tools without having to modify.

We have photos in jpg format that were taken with a DJI drone. Usually all EXIF data are easily accessible using the JPEG reader, but not the DJI custom metadata. We need to access the data that shows up when opening the image in a text editor: I tried reading the files with a text reader, but that gives several thousand lines of text and no way of seeing which line of text is connected to which image. This should be a common problem for everyone with a DJI drone? Any suggestions for now and maybe a DJI photo reader or DJI EXIF reader in the future?

I am trying to change the authentication from local to windows authentication in Cityworks. What changes do I need in HTTP Caller parameters? Is the chosing NTLM (username, password) under "Authentication" section enough or do I need to add something under "Header" or other parameters?

I'm looking for information regarding writing features to geopackage with geometry compatible with Geomedia. I have found the article dealing with Geomedia geometry in Oracle (listed below), but nothing for geopackage. I have debug logs and found that in the one that has stopped working the request is incomplete:GET /sharing/rest/portals/self?f=jsonThe request in the other add the token:GET /sharing/rest/portals/self?f=json&token=.....Trying to determine if this is a problem on the AGOL side or FME side. Any ideas would be appreciated!Also having the same issue on Desktop.
