I'v been succesfull in loading additional python site-packages on FME flow hosted.Now I have a site-package that needs a newer verion of numpy then the one that's allready in the standard installation.Can I upgrade numpy on the FME Flow hosted environment? 

What I want: I want to read a list of pdf files and write metadata of these files to a postgresql database. The attributes I want to export are number of pages, file name, file path and file id (which I create through the UUIDGenerator).  I start with a PATH reader to find all pdf files from this folder through all the subfolders. The problem is I also want to add the number of pages of each pdf file to the output table and I don't think I can find this with the PATH reader.  Therefore I included a PDF reader and have found the number of pages of each pdf. Now the problem is - how do I combine the output of these two readers? I have tried to use Featurejoiner and Featuremerger but both of these requires a common attribute to join on. But I can't find a format attribute in the two readers that is unique. Is there a way to index the attribute tables of each reader? Or is there some much easier way to perform this action?  I have included a screenshot of my workspace until now.

I'm new here and need to filter data from a Odata feed. The feed contains open data so no need for credentials. When I add an Odata reader and paste below URL, I can choose several feeds. The main one is named: TypedDataSet​https://opendata.cbs.nl/ODataFeed/odata/82062NED​​The direct link to main Odata feed is: https://opendata.cbs.nl/ODataFeed/odata/82062NED/TypedDataSet​It contains data from 2012 tot 2023 April. I only need data from 2022 and higher. I found some tips for filtering like placing?$filter=Perioden gt 2021MM12 but this doesn't work. I think I'm almost there and only need to figure out the right syntax. Can anyone help me?Thanks in advanced!Cheers Richard ​

I have several shapefiles in different UTM coordinate system. I want to:a. reproject each of them into LL84b. Then merge the re-projected feature into a single shapefile I need help in a. Merge features after reprojecting them.b. Find a better way to do it than the way I am trying to do it (see image below). As you can see, I am stuck and I do not know how to do the last part. 

I have a dynamic workflow that writes spatial data from a MS SQL Server to a postgis database. Since my inital data is not always restrictive on geometry types, I want to ensure that Geometry types are well defined in my destination database. I had an issue with mixed lines and multilines that I solved using an aggregator (destination geometry (multilinestring) ) but I had some geometry collections creating some issues when writing data so I added a GeometryFilter. Visually no feature is filtered (only lines) and the writing is doing great. Removing this filter will make the writing fail.  My question is then : Is the GeometryFilter altering the data or the way the data is presented to the writer? 

Hi guysim trying to craete a workbench to backup my agol group content into local shapefiles. ideally i want to use _name (feature service name) as folder names so web layers (using fme_feature_type as dynamic shapefile name) goes into each folders by their service name.  however, for some reason the fanout option couldnt work. Also tried to create attribtue with the output file path then use it as destination esri shapefile folder on the writter - this solution doesnt work neither. wondering if anyone know a good practice for this? Thanks!

Hi, I'm looking for some additional explanation on parallel processing using the workspacerunner transformer. There's 20 batches of GDB-data (all separate gdb's to prevent locking).When I use the workspace runner to use 1 workspace to run 4 parallel instances using different input and output geodatabases (no locking is occuring) for all 20 batches something goes wrong. I cant tell what is causing issues because the logs are incomprehensible. Does every instance keep overwriting the log file? I see that it executes the command to run in a rapid order while each feature is expected to run around 5 minutes. After waiting and seeing all FME processes finish in my Task Manager i only see around 4 output geodatabases made. I need to see: 20. However: I tried to fix it. I use Text-reader and Text-writer to create 1 .fmw for each batch: so 20 fme models. I use each model 1 time in each parallel process. Meaning: unique input gdb, unique output gdb, using unique fme workspace. This

Dear all,  I am trying to do the following : I have a yes/no user parameter that determines if additional output files are written or not. At several steps of the workflow, if this parameter is set to 'yes', intermediary files are written (before the final output file).  To implement that, before all the intermediary writers, I put a sampler (to go through the filter with a single feature instead of the > 300'000 features of my data) followed by a TestFilter inside which I test the value of the parameter. It works but I don't find it very ''elegant''. And as I am new to FME, I was wondering, what would be the more "FMEic-way" to implement it ? Does a transformer (or something like a junction?) exist which would act as a ''gateway'' and pass the data further downstream ONLY if a certain condition is met ? Thanks in advance for any information

Heya FME specialists, another PostGIS question:As a start I have a PointZ PostGIS table created with a PostGIS writer in workbench.Next I have a very simple workbench to duplicate some PostGIS tables from the production server to my local server for offsite development / analyses:I use a PostGIS FeatureReader with schema and generic because I want to dynamically create a clone of the table which is altered (data AND schema) in production without having to update readers and writers. This works wonderful!The one problem I have is that the geometry column definition changes from PointZ to GeometryZ:Original:(  pkey serial NOT NULL,  the_geom geometry(PointZ,28992),  CONSTRAINT testpoint_pkey PRIMARY KEY (pkey))Duplicate:(  pkey integer NOT NULL,  the_geom geometry(GeometryZ,28992),  CONSTRAINT testpoint_pkey PRIMARY KEY (pkey))I double checked to make sure the Create Generic Spatial Columns parameter is unchecked. Do I need to change another parameter or do I forget a crucial step? I att

I logged into FME Server several days ago and had no problems. Today when I logged in I get this message. Any ideas on a fix? (Our FME Server environment includes a Load Balancer between FME Server 1 and FME Server 2); I am logging in using the Load Balancer URL.

I’ve been building some automations in FME Flow with optional parameters (date or numeric fields) that can either be filled or be blank when run outside of an automation.  When I try to save an automation with one of these optional parameters filled in, it saves fine, but as soon as I try to save an automation with a blank optional parameter, it loads forever and doesn’t commit the change. As I've said, it seems to affect date and numeric fields.  Has anyone else come across this issue before?  Currently have 2021.1 (upgrading soon)

I'm just wondering if there's an impact on performance having multiple automations running constantly. They are triggered by a schedule within the automation to run once per day.

Is it possible to use FME Flow Hosted with a Remote engine located on an internal network. Thinking that this configuration would minimise FME Flow core maintenance, Simplify firewall rules, provide access to internal network resources like file system shares and databases... If it is possible, is there any documentation on how to setup this configuration.Cheers,e. 

After installing FME on my computer, all of my files have defaulted to open in FME. For example an xlsx will now open in FME unless I specify that it should be opened with excel. Any suggestions on how to resolve this issue?

I have different gdbs at different level in a folder.In each gdb there is the same dataset. I want to merge (usually with a junction) the similar datasets from the gdbs (all dataset has the same structure). But I not sure of what reader should I use:I use a reader with feature Type Name as "any schema".And Reader "PATH\\**\\*.gdb" Then I put a FeatureReader , but I cannot get attributes from all the dataset. Any Help will be appreciate. 

I created an FME Server role that provides read-only access to view FME workspaces published there (i.e. - Workspace Viewer). I would also like to add read-only access to view items under Schedules but only see options for Full Access or None for a role's permisssions. is there a way to provide read-only acccess to Schedules? We are currrently running FME Server 2020.1.2.1 (Build 20624).

Hello All,British National Grid Long/Lat (OSGB 36) [EPSG: 4277] seems to be missing from FME's suite of coordinate systems - or am I mistaken? I have a table with Longitude and Latitude data in this projection and I want to create points from them, and then convert them to British National Grid (Meters) (OSGB 36) [EPSG: 27700]. I can try to use the Reprojector transformer, but I can't see EPSG: 4277 anywhere.Is there anything which I could use instead? Or is there another solution such as creating a custom coordinate system?Many thanks,Jane

Dear All, I have the following setting : I've created a User parameter of type "choice" where the user can tick which attributes he wants to keep and send to the Writer (column1, column2, column3, etc.).  With the MultiChoiceParamSplitter followed by a ListExploder, I can get a table where the attribute "_choice_param_values" holds the attribute names the user has selected (e.g. column1, column3), but how can I use it then in the AttributeKeeper (or any other transformer that would do the job) ?  I've tried to pass the table as input with "_choice_param_values" as Attributes to Keep but it does not work at all...  Or maybe, from the outset, I didn't tackle the issue from the right angle and you have suggestions about how I could I achieve what I want in a totally different way around ? Any ideas are welcome, as I've run out... NB : I've seen the (seemlingly related) post below but it did not solve my issue.Having trouble passing user pa

I have a batch file (.bat) that I need to run. What Transformers would I need to use to get this to run using a workspace in FME Desktop?
