I am having trouble setting up an FME Flow Workspace App. We have setup our environment to have many users added to the “fmeguest” group and have them pretty much exclusively use Flow by accessing Workspace Apps. For a while now we have been using the “Requires Authentication” option on our flow apps with “fmeguest” as an Allowed User. However this appears to now not be working. Any time we add any additional allowed user (above the author of the app) and hit ok to host the app, those users are dropped. When we return to the edit screen only the app creator has access again. This means no additional users can gain access to the flow apps, which very much defeats the purpose of them.  Just wondering if anyone else has encountered this problem, might be a tricky one for people to replicate to help.  We are on FME Flow 2023.1.1.1 Any Ideas are welcome, fire them through and we will give them a go 😊  

Hi I have a very simple question but it seems i can’t do it . I just want to make a point from an excel list with x y coordinates, but not by writing it to a writer because I have to do a lot of other operations with it. I have already tried different things, I first used a coordinateSystemSetter and then a vertexCreator. But during further edits I always get rejected and my model crashes. It can't be that difficult :-)

WFS 2.0 services are available on the Geoportal Baden-Württemberg. I am making a call to an API and getting a JSON in return. With the JSONFragmenter and it's flattening options, I can expose most of the attributes in the JSON into FME attributes, but I am getting stuck on a particular structure. Sometimes there's a little table within a single attribute in the JSON like so: "related_objects": [                    {                        "relation_name": "verbinding",                        "relation_id": 1,                        "objects": [                            "randomid1",                            "randomid2",                            "randomid3"                        ]                    }                ] This indicates objects that are related in a particular way to the object in my query. I would like to generate a list of all of the related objects (randomid1, randomid2 etc.). I want to use that  list in my FME flow. Hi All,I have created a workflow that reads a few large GIS datasets in vector format across different areas. To avoid reading all the records in the dataset and reduce time I have used the FeatureReader transformer which is connected to the layers and an Area of Interest. The Spatial Filter option is ‘turned on’ as Boundary Boxes OGC-Intersect to read only those records within the Area of Interest. The problem is still takes ages to read,I have got a few FeatureReaders within the workflow and I was thinking to use only one FeatureReader (as all the data comes form the same GDB) to improve the performance, Any ideas to improve the performance of the workflow?

Our FME Server was patched and rebooted, which left it in a bad state. The automations and schedules kept triggering jobs but no jobs were running. It wasn’t noticed over the weekend and we now have over 160,000 queued jobs and I can’t get the FME server to respond (it hangs at the login screen, API calls just hang). I’ve restarted services, the machine etc etc. I think the issue is the fmejobrestore starts restoring all these jobs to the queue when I restart the fme server services. I’d like to cancel all the queued jobs in the back end database. Can I remove the records from the fme_jobs table? Will this cause any issues? Thank you!Kathy

Is it somehow possible to receive a connection from another party using OAuth2?Do I need to add a specific user to the user list? Do I need to create an application?Could it be done using a webhook or an automation? Or should i build a webhook or automation and use that as a trigger to connect to another location using OAuth2? The other party does not want to send data to my FME Server without using OAuth as a security measure.

Hey. I need some advice, or at least direction, on how to solve a complex problem. See attachment: I have a track. The track consists of waypoints, the waypoints are minisegments which consist of a startpoint and an endpoint and these minisegments form one big segment and these big segments form one complete track. The direction of the "flow" of the points is determined by the number of startpoints and endpoints, see below, where we see that the only possible direction is from A to E, since it must connect startpoint to endpoint between the minisegments, which form one segment out of three. The waypoints of one of the segments at the level of the points that make up the minisegments look like this - A, F, C, E: Startpoint: AEndpoint: FStartpoint: FEndpoint: CStartpoint: CEndpoint? EThe problem I'm solving is that some segments have this sequence of startpoint and endpoint reversed in the source data, so that the sequence of points of one of the segments would look like this: E, C, F, A

I have 4 files I need to rename. To rename them I need to add the values of an attribute in a table to each of their names; please refer to the screenshot for this example:SS000001.PNGwould be renamed 18085SS000001.PNG by adding the value from the STCLID Attribute in the table in the screenshot to the filename.  Seems as a first step would be “move” the values in the STCLID attribute to the <missing> rows? What is the best way to go about this? 

The PDF-reader seems to have disappeared from FME Form 2024 for Mac (silicon). It worked fine in the 2023 version. I took a look at the writer, and there is no dot under Read there either. Has this reader been removed for some reason? Or is this a bugg?  

Hello Community,I have a question and looked for answers but didn’t find it yet.It must be simple for someone but I have not yet figured it out. I tried attribute transposer, aggregator etcI have a table with a feature which has an ID here shown as Feature 1,2,3 and multiple columns with values for each month of the year.It is like so: What I yould like to get is the following:In the end I need a row for each column corresponding to the feature it is refering to.I found some sort of a possibility but it it very “manual” an inelegant in FME as I have to create each month manually and associate a date etc. If someone has a better idea, I am very interested about it. It would help me in the long run as I may have a wrong approach to transposing data with FME.Many thanks to all the contributors. Best regards, Thomas

Hi there,I have a small project where I've performed a join between two tables (Table1 and Table2) using the CityName field as a common identifier.However, I've noticed some minor inconsistencies in the city names between the two tables, resulting in 10 unjoined features.Is there a transformer or method available to manually specify that the X row from Table1 should be joined with the Y row from Table2?Regards

My customer want me to automate a report how many times diffrent map services has been reqested.It’s on a unfederated arcgis server with arcgis server manger.In arcgisserver manager i can export this information one by one to a csv file and get how many times a service has been requested in a set time period.I need to find a way to automate this process. Is it possible to retrieve this statistics using FME and then print it to an Excel file? Then on FME-server I need to get a report every month how many times diffrenbt map services has been used. 

Hi Community, I am developing a workbench which is reading and writing data to ArcSDE Geodatabase. As per the information which is available in the Knowledge base I need to have ArcGIS Enterprise(Server) Software to be installed and Licensed in the same machine of FME Flow installation. Here my question is:  If I have the ArcGIS Server License which is installed in some other machine, can I assign the License with the FME Flow machine?

Hi, I have acheived an attribute update in an existing table in QGIS.The transfert to PostGis works well when I use "Insert" and "Drop and Create" handling.However, I can not figure out the operation with "Update" and "Use existing" in order to properly transfert the updated value of the attribute code_dep. Any help is welcome.

My goal is to split the green polygon at the edge of the pink polygon. However, the pink one is not aligned properly. The black line indicates the cutting line I want to achieve. I am thinking of creating a buffer around the pink dataset, however only at the top and bottom border. At the left side, where the cutting line is present, a buffer is not allowed. When such a buffer is created I could use an Intersector probably to split the green polygon. Any support is appreciated! 

I got this question from a colleague. I know after reading in a dgn file you can aggregate features together based on igds_model_name, but I was wondering if there is a way to make a distinction/aggregation based on the type of model (drawing, desgin, Sheet). Within Microstation you have to attribute msdModelType which can contain the following values that correspond to Sheet, Design, Drawing:1) msdModelTypeSheet for Sheets2) msdModelTypeDefault3) msdModelTypeModel I was wondering whether there is an equivalent for that attribute within FME desktop or whether there is another way one can make distinction between those three type of models (Sheet, Drawing, Design).

I've encountered a problem since upgrading to FME Workbench 2024.0. Previously, I could select Feature Services using Esri ArcGIS Online (AGOL) or FeatureReader without any issues. However, now I'm getting an error resembling the following:"Could not find a Feature Service item matching the Feature Service directive 'Parks and Recreation - Tree Inventory/Tree Taxonomy List(<item ID>)'."Interestingly, removing the quotations and <item ID> in the Constraints parameter allows successful reading. Is this the expected behavior? Do I now need to manually adjust parameters for reading every feature service?Any feedback or advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance!
