I have a SHP file with geometry. It has an attribute called 'id_alt.' I would like to extract only the values of this attribute. Is there any way to convert these values into variables that I can use the value use with TESTER after UUIDGenerator to filter my data? Alternatively, what is the most efficient method to achieve this with FME

Hi. reading LYRX (“layer files”) from ArcGIS Pro failes when the layer file include Grouped Layers. It works just fine if the LYRX file does not include Group Layers.Thea Layer File/LYRX is made with ArcGIS Pro 3.2.2 where the LYRX file is in JSON format.

I am running a call to an Oracle DB based upon an input ID as a feature attribute value coming in from a CSV. There are upwards of 2000 ID’s to process. Initially, that call was running on a per-feature basis; I am now trying to make this more performant by using the IN statement e.g. WHERE ID IN (‘1’, ‘2’, ‘3’). I am doing this by aggregating incoming ID’s into one attribute value. Where this falls flat is that there appears to be a limit on items that Oracle can cope with in an ‘IN’ statement, so I figured I would chunk it up into more manageable numbers. My first thought was to create a looping transformer. My conception of this would be that a Counter would increment a Sampler to take the first 500 records (X), then the X+1 group of 500 (e.g. values 501 to 1001), X=2 and so on, until the _matched_records result coming out of SQL Executor was 0, at which point a tester in line would fail. However, Sampler doesn’t support that kind of expression building (as far as I can see). When using Manual Attribute Definition in the XLSX Writer or FeatureWriter, is there a way to copy the Column Formatting between attributes? I have noticed that if I manually add a new attribute beneath one already formatted it copies the Formatting of the one above. But I was hoping there would be an easy way to set one, and then have it applied to all attributes.

Hi everybody,My client has a spreadsheet that contains a list of Google Map urls embedded in text, inside cells in a Google Sheet. Using the Google Sheet  V4 reader, I am unable to read the url of the embedded text into the workspace. For example, I cannot read the url for the Google Map url for Safe’s location in this spreadsheet.  I’m really hoping to mine the lat/long coordinates from these urls. I use FME Desktop V2021.2.2.0 in production, but have Form V 2023.2.1.0 available, if needed.Thanks!

I have a .csv file with x, y, z coordinates. From these points, I want to create a 3D line. Currently, I have the issue that the z coordinates are not being transferred onto the line when I create a line from the points. Does anyone have an idea of how I can proceed?

Hi Everyone..I was able to find a workspace from community this template attached and did few changes to it and it is working as expected with sample template provided in workspace to create a GDB with domains , fieldnames and field alias.      1) This workspace consider single default words in domainlist provided in excel  only like Domain1 -      Attached Sample_1_Workspace template - works with 2023 version.This workspace consider single altered words domainlist like alphabets(A,B,C….) in Attached Sample_2_Workspace_template - works with 2023 version  This workspace consider 2 words in domain list like FME form in attached sample_3workspace_template -doesnt work and workspace fails.. If there are any special characters or space it doesnt work like : FME Form or FME_Form. I have attached error log and all sample data files with with each workspace.. Any Experts Kindly support : How can i resolve this with text as FME Form or FME_Form (with a space or special characters. Thanks

I was able to use AttributeManager to calculate the length of lines with the expression @Length() but I can’t work out how to round up the value up to 3 decimal places,Is that doable using the arithmetic expression instead of AttributeRounder transformer? 

Hello,I am trying to convert data from shapefile to DWG.To do that, I am using the DWGStyler to assign the correct setting to each object.Reading the post in the community, I am able to use the DWGStyler using a template and the right color is assigned to each object in CAD so, I see the match between the color in the canvas and the color in the Layer’s list. But, in some cases, I don’t have the template and when I open the file in autocad I can see the right color in the canvas assigned by the DWGStyler but in the Autocad list layer I see all layers in “red”, I attached an example. How can I resolve this situation to have the perfect match for the layer’s colors to avoid a manual rework without using the template? Thanks Max  

I’m working on an upload process via REST call and I want to use FME to do the upload.For the API I need to provide a list of file names in advance. I want this to just work and I want to be able to use FME’s multiple file picker to allow the user to pick folders, multipler files or just a single file. etc.Does anyone have a good/robust method for getting a full list of the files (and filenames) that this input could be.My initial plan is to split up the input parameter into a list and then figure out what are folders and what are files and for folders I would use a PATH reader to get the files.I guess I need a “MultiFilePathResolver” kind of thing. 

I have two polygon datastets and i send them to the Topology Builder so that they will get break at the intersection. However it does not give the result I expected. My expectation would be a similar result to thearea on area overlay  my output looks. The overlapping area are not broken. Any idea what i may have been doing wrong

Trying to find a  way to find the maximum amount (highest density) of polygons with the rulethe polygons must be non-neighbouring. Essentially selecting a polygon and jump to the next polygon which is not neighbouring and so fort and so on until you encounter a neighbouring one.See attached picture which I hand-picked.

I have a test looking for many possible cases. one of the cases I want to find is Any folder inside of any folder that has some specific names. (BTW I am using directory and File Pathname reader to create a list) and then a tester to get all of the special cases.)I have a test line like path_directory_windows CONTAINS *\project_data\working\**\*I don’t get any errors with this syntax but it does not find the folders. Basically i am only wanting to find folders within any project_data\working folder that contain any files.If it doesn’t contain a file I am not concerned with it.Any help with a correct regex statement that would work, or the proper syntax for the contains statement are what i am needing.I have tried this regex unssuccessfullyproject_data\/working\/[^\/]+\/[^\/]+TIA 

I need to extract TAB or Shape file from S3 and read data from it including schema.I have discovered in this articlehttps://community.safe.com/data-7/how-to-extract-the-actual-shapefile-from-featurereader-geometry-and-attributes-14548?tid=14548&fid=7that FeatureReader apparently can’t read all attributes that are in the file, until I expose them. But what is I don’t know the list of all attributes? I don’t know what exactly will be uploaded by other people to S3 bucket, I just need to read the file.  Could you help, please, to identify the correct settings of FeatureReader or another way to extract data?

In the JSON transformer documentation, there is a sub-section on JSON Query, which states: JSON Property ExpressionsA property expression is a structure expression as described above, followed by a . I’m attempting to access an AWS marketplace free resource, NOAA’s bathymetry, but with Anonymous access if I enter us-east-1 as the region I cannot manually specify noaa-bathymetry-pds as the bucket and I cannot get a picker, or not that I can see.  Is there a trick?  Thanks.

Hi,I am struggling to trigger a automation from a custom html-form. It seems that the post-action never gets to the automation in FME Flow. My html-page looks like this:html-formThe html-code is this:html-code When I hit the [Submit]-button I get a white page - no error - nothing is logged! I know the automation works because the API-page gives me this: API-pageWhat I think might be wrong is that on the API-page I have a Token - which I don’t have on my custom html-form! How do I add the token to the HTM-form? Another question is wheather the request body coming from the custom html-form is right since I don’t see it?  Thanks in advance.Regards Jakob

I have an asbuilt with a table that has all the locations/names of  the structures.   The table layer name  is “text” and when i bring in  the drawing, the text layer is empty. Im sure its how i have my parameters set up so a little guidance on how to read this would be great.
