Hello,as it says in the title: FeatureReader crashes on reading ArcGIS Pro filegeodatabase. For my work I built a workbench were previously data got written to an Arcmap *.gdb which worked flawless. But now since my company is switching to ArcGIS Pro, I'm had to update the *.gdb to the ArcGIS Pro standards to be able to work with annotations. After running it with that updated *.gdb I received errors. After some fiddling it seemed that the issue was resolved. But a few runs later I found out that there were some attributes that I had to alter to the *.gdb to streamline it for later production steps. No probs so far. After doing that, the FeatureReader i use came up with the old attributes, and not the newly inserted. So I thought, I'll repoint it to the *.gdb, after doing so, the workbench crashed…I've tried different things to find out where the problem lies: Maybe a feature had bad geometry? Maybe to many features? Maybe the *.gdb was corrupted? But nothing I did helped. As a last st

Hello, I'm trying to use AffineWarper to transform 3D data (x,y,z) from a local coordinate system to a national coordinate system. This works well, but unfortunately the z coordinates are not changed. They retain the heights of the local system. Does the transformer only work in 2D?The offsetter doesn't help me here because the difference between the z-values ​​is not the same for all coordinate pairs.Please help. Thank you.

I have a dataset with attributes where in two columns the start and end of a range (postalcode)is it possible to duplicate the attributes with the missing postalcodes?example:range tels me: from 7595AM  to 7595APthere are 2 postalcodes missing. 7595AN and 7595AO.from this attribute i would like to duplicate it to 4 attributes for each of the seperate postalcodes. thanx in advance. i am using FME Form 2024.1

We are in the process of building a new FME workspace that is using the FTPCaller transformer to upload a file to a remote SFTP server. To ensure we are compliant with our internal security standards around cryptography, I am looking into SSH protocol versions and cryptographic algorithms in use by the FTPCaller transformer.My questions are:Which versions of the SSH protocol does the FTPCaller support? I know from connecting to a local SSH-2-only SSH server that it supports SSH-2, but does it also support SSH-1? (I hope not!) Is there any way of configuring the cryptographic algorithms used by the FTPCaller? Or, as an alternative, listing the supported/enabled algorithms?Thank you,Jonathan

Hi all, New user here - trying to get a support-only role set up for a few on my team in FME Form. We sometimes have jobs that need to be resubmitted and would like the support role to have the ability to do this but to NOT be able to edit the workspaces or automations at all. I have played around with editing the role permissions and no matter what I try, the users are not able to resubmit jobs. They can get to the job and view logs but get an ‘Unauthorized request by user due to lack of permissions...’ error. Has anyone experienced something like this or have any idea on what permission set would be tied to resubmitting jobs?Thank you!

I have a lot of polygons that represent buildings and I want to rasterise them but before I do I need all the polygons to be parallel to the horizon. I need to create a tool that calculates the polygon angles and then use these angles to rotate the buildings accordingly. 

Hi all,I’d like to use a FeatureReader transformer to read in an ArcGIS Feature Server and then have a user specify which specific Feature Service they would like to process. The Feature Server has ~15 services whose names I have added into a parameter. I added the parameter to the “Feature Types to Read” option, but can’t get the tool to successfully read in the service that I specify. I attached a screencap of how I have things set up so far...does anyone know how I can accomplish this? I think I’m close and might just be missing something small. 

I’ve imported a topographic map that is in GeoPDF format.  I want to convert to GeoTIFF.  I see advice posted to put an ImageRasterizer between the reader and writer.  My question is how to set up the ImageRasterizer “rows and columns” data.  Where do I get this data?   ThanksBill

I’m having a workspace with some connections to files that are on sharepoint. I did create the correct setup with the web connections to have a sharepoint account with client & tenant id etc in it. workspace works fine at my side, but the account that was provided is an account that has access to a lot off stuff.When I want to share the workspace with production so that they can run it, they also need to have the webconnection present in their workbench to get it to work (otherwise sharepoint online connector turns red etc).With this they can actually access more files than what is stricly needed (even though my workspace is password protected, nothing stops them from using that account for fetching different files) and this may lead to security issues.Although using a account with limited access to files on sharepoint would also help, I’m wondering if there is a different way to access files from sharepoint? I’m comparing it a bit with database connections:Connections are convenie

using the Autodesk AutoCAD Map 3D Object Data reader and setting the parameter to “Group by Entity” (this is so i can get all the objects with 1 reader). I have the autocad_map_odtable{} format attribute enabled. i then have a testfilter to get >0 to separate the features with od values. do i need to enable an extended data value to get the table? How do i get the OD table values for these features?spoiler. I already have the data.i ran the workbench but looked at the wrong output. by separating the data i already have the attributes on all features within the testfilter. 

I have an express install of FME Flow (2024.1) on a Azure VM and I am having troubles getting a stable connection to imap.gmail.com. The validation is sporadic. It will validate and be working and recieving notifications and then it will give me an error that the port or security are not correct. Thu-11-Jul-2024 06:04:41.318 AM : com.sun.mail.util.MailConnectException: Couldn't connect to host, port: imap.gmail.com, 993; timeout 15000;I have enabled inbound and outbound rules over port 993 for imap.gmail.com on Azure. I am not sure what else I could be missing. Any help is appreciated. 

I have a set of records that read via SQLExecutor which includes a timestamp field (driver_date). This seems to be stored a “buffer” datatype. I don’t seem to be able to explode this field using the DateTimeExploder as it can’t autodetect the timestamp value as a date/time value. I’ve tried including a DateTimeConverter, but get the same result. Is there someway to convert the timestamp from “buffer” datatype to datetime?

I am trying to finish my workspace. I have gotten as far as the Attribute Manager which has Lat and Lon fields in it. Currently the data being fed into Attribute Manager_10 (screenshot below) is Lines. I want to use the Lat Lon fields in the AttributeManager_10 to create Points and not use Lines. Any ideas on what Transformer(s) I need to add after AttributeManger_10? Seems like VertexCreator would be the most appropriate Transformer to use in this situation, correct? 

I was wondering about the FME Flow Temp Resource (i.e. '$(FME_SHAREDRESOURCE_TEMP)'). As the name suggests its supposed to be a temporary folder.  First question I have on this, Is it correct that there is no default mechanism (e.g. that there is no default cleanup task) that cleans out this Temp (FME_SHAREDRESOURCE_TEMP) folder, and that if you want to have it be cleaned every X days/weeks, you should create a new System Cleanup Task? It seemed to me that this was the case, and while setting up my own System Cleanup Task to have this Temp (FME_SHAREDRESOURCE_TEMP) folder cleared, I came across some confusing points I would like to address/ask. My second question;How does the 'Remove Files Older Than' parameter set (at tab 'Tasks' of 'System Cleanup') relate to the 'Task Interval' parameter for 'Normal Conditions' (that can be configured at the 'Configuration' tab of 'System Cleanup')? E.g., if I set up a task to clean up

What is the best way to convert Lines to Points? I would like the points that are created to fall in the middle of the line and include all non-geometry attributes of each line. I am hoping there a LinetoPoint Transformer out there somewhere. 

I find that the string functions on FME2024 don’t work similarly in FME 2023, in this case, it led to some problems with the outcome as not expected. Example:I have 2 strings:“EMD-1” “ÊMĐ-1”I use string functions as below: I received 2 outcomes differently:With the text 1: Count_index = 4With the text 2: Count_index = 6It is not right, in FME 2023 the outcome is 4 for both situations.Is this a bug in FME2024 ? 

I get this error installing FME Flow 2024.1 on Windows 10. I don’t believe it’s related to the only other forum thread on this error as I have 30 GB of free space on C:.

I am using the FME objects python API including the FMEUniversalReader. fmeobjects.FMEUniversalReader — Python FME API FME 2024.1 b24615 documentation (safe.com)In the documentation for this API it says to pass “Reader’s type mneumonic as found in the FME Reference Manual Part II” but the reference manual isn’t linked.It isn’t in the admin guide: FME Desktop Administrator's Guide (safe.com)And Safe Docs just link back to the python API Search (safe.com) which doesn’t actually tell me the mneumonics.When I pass it’s reference in the UI for FME Form I get this error in my python caller.This FME edition does not recognize the `ARCSDE GEODB' reader. Please ensure that the current platform supports this reader, the reader name is spelled correctly, and that you have installed all required plug-insThe reason I am doing is because of this issue; AreaonAreaOverlay with intersecting features | Community (safe.com) and using the python caller seems like the best median to keep this in FME.

I have a glut of features of multiple types coming in from a handful of .ifc files. I am attempting to write a transformer as a proof of concept that will allow me to filter the features (currently 174000+) to different writers based on a small difference within their source filenames. Basically what I want to know is if it is possible to use the text editor to create an “if filename contains text (abc)” filter. If not, what would be the best way to filter for something like this.

Hi.I have a workbench equipped with several runners. I want to send myself an email upon completion of the workbench, detailing the duration each runner took. I implemented a DateTimeStamper at the Succeeded port for each workbench and attempted to merge this with the creation instance, but it failed to function as expected.I would like the result to include the duration each workbench ran and the total time upon process completion.Any help is greatly appreciated.
