I want to update a table from a HTTP request for x times depending on the last update and the current date. What would be the best practice? So I have to fill in the green part in this workflow.

I have a database table in which a number of the records are duplicated. I'd like to remove the duplicates but like to keep 1 record (so similar to the duplicateFilter unique port).I have no unique identifier in the table so if I match a record (based on a combination of attributes) I'll remove all of them from the table, I need to add 1 of them again afterwards.  Currently I use the following approach:duplicateFilter to find the duplicatesremove the records from the table using fme_db_operation = DELETE (this re re-insert the unduplicated record Any suggestions to improve this methodology?

I have a land cover raster with values that can be seen in ArcGIS Pro when looking at the raster's attribute table. When bringing this raster into FME using the "Esri Geodatabase (File Geodb Raster Dataset)" Reader, the raster is brought in with no attribute values (see screenshot). Looking for help with bringing the raster into FME so that the attribute records will be populated with the raster's values shown in the ArcGIS attribute table? Hi, We’ve recently upgraded our FME Flow install from 2022.2 to 2023.2.1I had a published workspace that used the Google Sheets v4 package. Previously when I published this workspace, the included Google Sheets package uploaded to FME Flow and became available to use in FME Flow. This all seemed to work fine.Since the upgrade to 2023.2.1 I seem to be having trouble getting this to work. When I publish the workspace, using FME Form 2023.2, I get the option to upload the Google Sheets package, and this appears to work fine.But when I run the workspace from FME Flow I keep getting this error:File D:\Program Files\FMEFlow\Server\fme\metafile\SAFE.GOOGLE-SHEETS.GOOGLESHEETS4.fmf could not be openedIf I look in the Resources>Engine folder I can see that the file safe.google-sheets-3.3.4.fpkg has been copied in here (with the appropriate timestamp when I published the workspace).Is there something else that has to happen to make this package available?ThanksKeith

Hi All,I’m working on a workflow to extract JPG files using the existing Fulcrum API. I have been able to install the Fulcrum web connector from the FME Hub and make the relevant connection to my organisations using a Token. All good.The problem is am not be able to view the URL photos in my browser as shows ‘This page isn’t working’. I am starting with FME Server and can someone help me understand and learnI have a download process that runs on a virtual machine with Windows Server 2019 data center (Server 1) and it must write a file to a disk of another virtual machine that also has Windows Server 2019 data center (Server 2), but I gives permissions error. I understand that the process is executed with a user created in the FME Server, in this case of type System.My doubts are:Should the user created on the FME Server also be created as a user on Server 1 and have write permissions to the Server 2 disk?Should the user be changed in FME Server to Directory Server type or is it not necessary?

Hello ,I’m wondering if FME Flow can handles multiple simultaneous jobs for a single workflow . For exemple , how does the Easy Translator Demo handle the case where simultaneous translations of CSV files to SHP ( coming from different users ) without their data and their results being overlapped. Is it handled by FME Flow , or handled manually by the developers of this web app?Also in case of only one engine , how does FME Flow process this use case ?

I have a non-spatial table with about 5 million records of XY coordinates. I need to update the table with the Lat Long values in the so-named columns.I am facing problems with writing these to the table. When I choose UPDATE/UPSERT/fme_db_operation, the writing takes a seconf for every 10 records. Hello everyone,I'm currently in the process of learning FME as it's just been introduced into our projects. However, there's not much guidance available at the moment, so I'm hoping to get some help here.I have a specific task involving two values: Owner ID (OID) and associated account (AA). We have our own API service that can provide additional details using the AA. My aim is to make HTTP calls with the AA values while ensuring the control remains based on OID.DATA format example:In simpler terms, when OID is set to 1, I want to input all associated AA values into the caller (one by one of course).However, I've heard that loops aren't generally recommended in FME workflows.Can anyone advise if this is possible within FME, and if so, how I might go about it without resorting to loops?Any insights or guidance would be greatly appreciated.Thank you in advance! 

I have a DWG file with unknown CS but I know the CS it just needs to be assigned to the DWG. When I set the CS when I read the DWG then it appears in the correct location on the Earth but once I try to write it, it doesnt write the CS info and it appears again in the false location on Earth! I also tried “CoordinateSystemSetter” but with no success. On FME it appears good while transforming but not in the resulting DWG. Any Idea?

I have many workbenchs and some of them are quite complicated. I would like to write a description of all the steps. Are the workspace parameters the best place to write the description and the steps?  Thanks :)  

Hi All,Quick question in regards FME & ArcPy: I have been able to create a Python script that overwrites a ‘tree_ID’ field on AGOL based on the sum count of the three geometries (point, line and polygon). Basically the script does the following calculation and assigns the IDs, example below:Point = 3 featuresLine = 2 featuresPolygon = 2 featuresTOTAL = 7 features ID to update on AGOL 1,2,3,4,5,6 and 7The python works fine as the AGOL feature hosted layers have been updated with the new ‘tree_ID’ but the PythonCaller stops with the following error: ‘PythonFactory failed to load python symbol `FeatureProcessor'. An outdated FME packaged transformer may be in use. Please check Tools > FME Options > FME Packages to confirm that all FME Packages are up to date’ I can always run it on Pro but wanted to integrate it using PythonCaller as part of my workflow runs on FME,Any idea why I’m getting that error?PD: Python script attached.

I’m using the JSON reader to read in a folder of JSON files. The reader is working how I want it to, however I would like to get the original file path/name as an attribute on each feature.  Is there an easy way to do this? I’m hoping that I am missing something silly.   

I tried the FMEFeature.reproject(coordSys) method but it can do only 2D reprojection. I want to do reprojection using Python only not with any transformer like EsriReprojector or CSmap.

Hi all,i know it will maybe an easy one….I’ve tried with substringextractor or with AttributeTrimmer as well but i couldnt reach the right result.i have attribute like these for example:he0_wasser_WSG_TK_20143_AGE_f_r01_231030 orni0_geobasisdaten_gemischte_industrie_gewerbe_flaechen_20256_AGE_f_r01_240118i have to split in this case “he0” and “ni0” and write that in an attribute xi have to split “wasser” and “geobasisdaten” and write that in an attribute yi have to split “AGE” in an attribute…….and so onnow comes the challenge:the text between “wasser” or “geobasidaten” and the 5digit number (20143, 20256) has sometimes 2 words, sometimes 3 or 5 words…..but i have to write the whole text in an attribute z….ho can i do that? i am not so well in regexp…..so i ask here for help Thank youCheersFranco  

Hello AllI need your guidance to correct this issue..I have few polygon layers with limited infomation in the layers. I have an excel master sheet with complete details and common field is species name  so , I have used feature joined after some transformation and got all details connected to layer.. Now , The issue is when i have exported it to gdb , everything is blank without geometry and only attributes are visible for polygon layer.. I want to project it to LL84 I have attached workspace template and error screenshot I shall be thankful for suggestion    

I would like to split a polygon into it’s segments, so that the result is seperate segment-features (lines). Does anybody has an idea for this?

 I have 3 published parameters where the user inputs values for buffers. All three were created as Numeric parameters, with numeric precision set to Integer. I would like to extract the largest buffer value in a python scripted parameter. This is the code I’m using in FME 2023 (build 23332)buffer_list = [FME_MacroValues['BUFFER1'],FME_MacroValues['BUFFER2'],FME_MacroValues['BUFFER3']]buffer_list.sort(reverse = True)return buffer_list[0]What I’ve discovered is that if the 3 buffers are the same number of digits, the script will return the correct value. If the number of digits is different, it will not. Some examples:10, 40, 50 = 50 (correct)120, 60, 70 = 70 (incorrect)120, 180, 70 = 70 (incorrect)120, 200, 300 = 300 (correct)It doesn’t matter which order the values are input, nor does it matter how the parameters are sorted in the parameter list.Is this a bug, or am I missing something?

I guess that’s a very easy one, but I can’t find the right answer.I created a gallery app, and the user can provide an email address to receive the results of the run.Unfortunately, while the workspace runs trough, and when staying on the page I get also a working download link for the data, the email is never sent.What I would like to know is, how I should set up the email service on FME Server. I can choose between ‘Automation’ or ‘Notification → Subscription’.The automation keeps me puzzled on what trigger I should use to say a user started the run of a workspace, and please use the provided email address to send the email. The subscription seems to be a bit more straight forward and I would aim for the Email protocol , and set the subscription topic to JOBSUBMITTER_ASYNC_JOB_SUCCESS, but then I am lost in the protocol settings when it comes to the ‘Email To- part, and to know what actually will be in the body of the email.Essentially the only thing I need is a setup that sends an e

Greetings,I’m writing FME workspace that should be able to scan a list of IP Addresses for modems. The result will have reachable:yes/No attribute to determine the IP address is reachable or not.First thing to think of is using python caller to invoke the ping tool of OS. I did it that way and it’s working. However, the client policy demands workflows that are only built-in. No custom coding, and I want to make sure that there is no built-in transformer that may do the task?Is there a built-in transformer that can check if a networked IP Address is reachable or not.
