Is there a way to include the errors and warnings in an Automation’s log file in an email (external action)? Which Key would this be, or do I need to create a global key that would include this information?

We are trying to use GoogleDriveConnector to update a folder within a shared folder on Google Drive. Unfortunately, when uploading the folder to the shared folder, it creates another folder with the same name as the one we’re need to update. We’d preferably like to overwrite this folder, or delete the Google folder before uploading, or something.There is a delete in GoogleDriveConnector but you have to have the exact Google id for that folder, which will change each time the FME is run. So we can’t automate weekly since we won’t know what the id will be each time.If neither of those options are possible (overwrite or delete), is it possible to upload to Google with a new name for the folder (like with a timestamp) so that we all know which is the most updated? (We can manually clean it out after that if need be.) This is less preferable, but right now I’m looking for any solution that may help our needs.Thanks!

FME Flow 2024.0, we have engines distributed on different boxes.   I would like to remove the Default Queue on Engines on a specific  box.  I did this with FME Server 2022 using Engine assignment rules., but I am o seeing a way to do this with FME Form 2024.0.  There is no existing record for Default under Engine Assignment rules.  Any thoughts ?  

Hi fellow FME enthousiasts,Another case i'm struggling with today.I have a list of parcels that need to be added into a Excel template. In most cases I can sort the parcels by parcelnumber and concatenate them grouped by the Section number and write them to the Excel.But the field in the template can fit a maximum of 5 parcel numbers. So if there are more then 5 parcels they need to be split in groups of 5. So say i have a file with 13 parcels, I would need to split them into 3 groups (2 of 5 parcels and 1 of 3 parcels). I can get the number of parcels with a StatisticsCalculator, but i struggle with the part where i have to split them into groups to write to the Excel. How would you do this? Cheers!

Hi, I use parallel (//) processing in other workspaces successfully but this is the first time with a Clipper. The tips offered in article: FME Parallel Processing: Tips and tricks for generating groups | Safe Software do not seem to apply, or at least I think they don’t. I am trying to clip an OBJ of  ~12720000 triangles with ~93K polygons of diiferent sizes. The OBJ has no attributes, just geometry. 1st try: link the same modcount (4 groups) to both Candidate and Clipper inputs of custom xformer containing only a Clipper.  The data passess through it without any clipping. The Clipper inside is set as “multiple clippers”; Clippers do not arrive first; Reject only parts, merge-clipper, and the rest is set with defaults.2nd try: cloning the OBJ as explained in article but it slow and eventually crashs as it runs out of memory. I sort of expected it but tried it anyway. I don’t see how I can use the tiling method here.  Am I missing anything else? or maybe there is  an update on setting

Hello fellow FME enthousiasts,I have a case which i can't seem to find a solution for.We have a process that adds a score to incoming records based on certifications added as hyperlinks in a table.During several steps these certifications have to be manually checked by an employee. Finally when everything has been approved the records are written to a central database (this can only be done when all the records have been approved, so the whole dataset has to be kept together during the whole process). Right now i have the process setup to output all data to an Excel table (with a template to make it readable for the employee). Here the employee can select if a certification is approved or not. This Excel table is then put back into the next process untill all necessary checks have been done.Each time a proces is run i would like to check at the end if all records are approved or not. I have a batch workspace that spawns multiple child workspaces using four separate FMEServerJobsubmitters. I have two engines in FME FLow but the other engine is occupied with other processes so I'm able to use only one engine. As i understood, if i set Wait for jobs to complete to "Yes" and Submit Jobs "In Sequence", FME Flow should spawn a sub-engine that will run the child workflows and once they are ready it will continue the parent process. This is the behaviour that I would need because I only want to continue parent workflow when all the child processes are successful. However, with this setup the first child process enters queue and never starts. It also shows in the parent log file that the submit was successful, but it ends up into queue. I have separate queues for the two engines and both the parent process and the child process are tied to engine2 running in queue2 so it should interfere with the other engine and queue. When reviewing an old workspace in FME Form 2023.2, I noticed that if I opened a Feature Reader or Feature Writer that previously had an SDE connection file path referenced in the connection parameters that the parameter was now blank. If no changes are made, the workspace runs to completion as normal. No errors are thrown and no transformers are marked as “incomplete” in the navigator pane. This tells me that those pathways are stored somewhere. This does not appear to be an issue with other data types like csv, xls, or file geodatabases. These file types used in a feature reader all have their connection file parameter populated when opened in 2023.2. This does not appear to be an issue if a Reader or Writer is used rather than Feature Reader or Feature Writer transformers. I am comparing records from two sources. I want to sync the records from one source to the other source. I am using ChangeDetector to do this (Workbench 2023.1).  Output wise, what is the difference between these two workbench configurations? (one with the FeatureJoiner and one without the FeatureJoiner). When I look in the output database, as far as I can tell, I am getting my desired outcome without needing the FeatureJoiner but I want to make sure I am not overlooking something.Is it necessary to use FeatureJoiner on the records coming out of the “updated” port of the ChangeDetector before pushing the records to the ESRI Portal Feature Service writer? The examples I am coming across are using a FeatureJoiner after the ChangeDetector for the updated records e.g.:https://support.safe.com/s/article/how-do-i-write-updates-to-an-existing-arcgis-onlin 

Hi, I have a geopackage with 5 million polygons, some of which are duplicated, but with geometry that isn't exactly the same. In the image below the dark red’s polygones means there duplicates.I trying with transfomer matcher  with this set It works but not all polygones duplicates are deleted. I got something like this I know that at some point some polygons won't be able to be deleted because the geometry is too different.Maybe in can set the tolerance in 4 or more, but i thinkAny idea if it can be done?Thanks

Hello,​I need to print my workbench on size A0. It works fine for size A2 and smaller but for size A0 or A1 the workbench freezes or crashes. I tried with different workbenches , different Pc's and different PDF-creators but no success. I use FME 2019.1.Maybe someone has an idea to solve the problem?​

Each road feature intersects with others, and I need to determine the correct start and end names for each road segment (i.e., the names of the roads at the start and end nodes).I'm wondering if there's an efficient way to accomplish this using FME. I made a deployment parameter with some email-addresses in but when I use it to send emails I get an error in the automation log, see below. Hi,I am a very basic Flow/Server user, but handy enough at Form/Desktop. My company recently upgraded from 2022 to 2023. I have noticed after the change a few of my workspaces no longer have their description appearing online and I can’t work out why this wouldn’t.For example, in the workspace description I would usually put a basic description or some instructions. I then publish it to Flow, and it used to be that the description would be in the online interface. I have been struggeling with it for the past week, and for the first time it actually goes trough a couple of 1000 features, but it stops again at like 2000. also, it doenst really give me the reason why it failed. if it is the 928… Code, i did some research on it, but could find it.I am not sure what i am doing wrong, i dit it quite much in the past, but maybe it has changed with the newer versions. This is what i am trying to do:ArcGIS Online Reader. Hi All,I’m working on a workflow that requires filtering some values based on a Lookup table. I’ve initially thought using FeatureJoiner to join and filter the values but doesn’t give me the desired results as the 1:M relationship doesn’t work. I have thought about the FeatureMerger to apply the 1:M relationship but can’t get it to work.Below a few screenshots of the tables:Table A- Example of the table to join (by TexString)Table B - LookUp table (by TextString - Column B)Only the highlighted cells will be used to join  Below is the part of the workflow to filter the value in the Table A but the join doesn’t do 1:M. There’s 193 records highlighted in yellow in the LookUp but the FeatureJoiner only joins 189 from the 1,363 records from Table A….and I’m expecting more values after the join as for example N = North Lines and S = South Lines values appears multiple times in the Table A and need to keep all of them. That’s why I think the 1:M is the one to apply here? Any trick to make the

I am making my first workspace that uses a reader for a hosted feature layer from Portal. I notice that I am able to use the Esri ArcGIS Server Feature Service Reader/Writer as well as the Esri ArcGIS Portal Feature Service Reader/Writer to achieve this. My question is what is the difference? As the end result was the same for both.The Esri ArcGIS Server Feature Service Reader/Writer seemed far simpler to use as all I needed was the user and password plus the feature layer URL while for the Esri ArcGIS Portal Feature Service Reader/Writer I had to enter the host, user, password and feature service which was the folder location of the feature layer plus the feature service ID on the end in brackets in order to get it to work. I am using FME 2018.0 as well if that makes a difference.

Hello, I have a folder containing multiple shapefiles, for example,  (a, b, d, e, f...). My objective is to utilize the AnchoredSnapper transformer in the following manner: initially, snap shapefile 'a' with 'b', where 'a' serves as the anchor. Then, the resulting snapped shapefile will be used as the anchor and snapped with 'c', and so forth until all shapefiles are snapped. I tried to implement loops but the problem is that the output have to be the new output after every iteration, so i can't get a configuration of the loop. I appreciate any assistance or proposition you can provide. Thank you.This is my wokspace and the custom transformer , using a loop.
