As a tool in between i try to utilize FME.My question:How can I edit the height of a citygml building (LoD2)? I am trying to increase the number of floors and try to show a before and after version.Can i just change the z-axis of the building?Best regardsTobias

Hi, I have a list of fmw files like this one:That I want to use to go through and extract some data or each fmw using the FME Workspace (FMW) reader.To do this, I have created a workbench “FileProperties.fmw” that takes the feature type FileProperties of a workbench using FME Workspace (FMW) reader and puts data to a csv.Then, because I want to apply this process to multiple workbenches and not just one, I have created a separate workbench "RunWorkbench.fmw" which uses a WorkspaceRunner that runs FileProperties.fmw workbench for each of the files of the list. Each line of the list is used as a variable, so FileProperties workbench analyses each fmw file in the list and extracts the data into csv.In the WorkspaceRunner configuration I run fmw_properties.fmw. WorkspaceRunner knows which workbenches to analyze each time because in fmw_properties.fmw I created create a published parameter that will pass the workbench to be analysed. This is how I setup the published parameter in

I am looking to take a point feature class that acquires a GPS location from our Utility trucks every 15 seconds and create routes driven based upon historical data. End goal is I would like to build a polyline feature class to reduce the amount of data that I am publishing to our Portal to improve the performance of querying data, as we are acquiring approximately 2.5-3 million points within a 30 day span.Below is an example of the data being received.Here is what the data means:Vehicle is Offline = IsIdle - 0 & GpsActive - 0Vehicle is active but in a Idle State = IsIdle - 1 & GpsActive - 1Vehicle is Actively Moving = IsIdle - 0 & GpsActive - 1The part I am getting stumped on is how I can define routes driven. In the example above, there would have been 2 routes driven. The first route would be fromto  and the second route being toBelow is an example of where I would like to take the data, with the addition of some sort of RouteID field. Any help is greatly appreciated.

I have to generate approximatively 850 Excel workbook and I was wondering if it was possible using only one Writer or if I had to use 850 Writers.I thought of the possibility of generating 850 sheets in one Excel workbook, but I would have trouble actually opening the workbook with my computer (lot of memory used).Also I work with a 2017 version of FME (I stumbled in the past on issue that could be esaily resolved with 2018, but I had to work in the limit of 2017).Thanks

I have a workbench that creates an ECW wind heat map from a TIFF file. I have now created another image (png, JPEG or BMP) as a legend that I want to place on top of the ECW heat map, at a specific location. I was unable to find a way to do this, but may be missing an easy way to do this? Two steps are required.1. Place the legend image on top of the ECW heat map.2. Place it at a specific position and at a specific size before finalising the ECW image. Any help on how to do this would be much appreciated.

Hi So I have a text document and I need to parse into specific headings and then extract that heading and all the sub text. The issue is the subtext is lettered. I have created a bunch of FME server Apps (FME 2019), and they're highly appreciated. Easy to use and to understand. When used with the right input data it's just fenomenal.However, when something goes wrong (usually faulty indata) there isn't much information about what went wrong. It just says FAILURE. In cases that yielded zero output features. It just says COMPLETED (and does not present the results because there are none).Is it possible (of course it is) to get somewhat a somewhat more verbose response? How do I do it? Is it a notification service? Where do I start? I am at a complete loss. (It was 2 years ago I went to the FME server course and the memory seems to be of non stick material)I just want the server app to respond with something at the app running page. Please save me!

Hi, I'm having difficulties understanding SOAP in FME. I followed through https://knowledge.safe.com/articles/45314/working-with-soap-services.html but I always get 500 Internal Server Error. Using SOAP UI everything goes smoothly (see pictures bellow) but in FME I just can't get it running correct.  It uses this SOAP schema: https://oss.uredjenazemlja.hr/OssWebServices/services/AuthenticationService.wsdl  Can you please show my what I'm doing wrong. Cheers,Zelimir   

HelloI have point layer and related table in ESRI SQL data base. I need to bring it into FME to do some calculations and reporting.But once i bring both of them in FME feature Merger is not working for me. I am using ESRI GlobalID field. I am not sure if that is causing any issues? I don't have any other unique id in both tables. Please let me know if anybody used global id for feature merger or feature joiner? Or any other ideas?any help is welcome!ThanksNikki

Hi FMEers~ Curious around FME's capability of enabling image classification with trained samples, just like the way that ArcGIS/Erdas Imagine do. Having discussed with the Safe technical professional, there is no such transformer developed (yet).Just wondering if any professional has come across a great workaround of doing it in FME. CheersDavid

I am trying to find the elevation of the most prominent "peaks" in an area, but am stuck.  I have used a number of polygons to Clip a selection of mountains. These are in a raster DEM format. Now I want to find the highest point on each mountain, along with it's position. This will later be saved as a point feature.  Using the RasterCellCoercer results in an insane amount of data. I have tried to filter out the highest values before I proceed, but have not yet figured out how to do so.  The RasterBandMinMaxExtractor with a ListExploder gives me the highest value for each raster area, but I also need the position of this pixel.  Any suggestions on how to proceed? How can I get both the highest value, and it's location , without turning my computer into a toaster?

Transformers such as the matcher appear to use hidden attributes to match on when the attribute matching strategy is set to match all attributes. Is it possible to remove hidden attributes without exposing them first?

Hello,   I am reading in 2 feature classes into a Spatial Realtor transformer. I need to be able to automatically determine which feature class has the higher number of records/features and which has the lower. This will then determine the Requestor (feature class with higher number), and Supplier (feature class with lower number of records) for the Spatial Relator.   More like an if statement, if feature class A is 10 and feature class B is 5, then connect A to the Spatial Relator requestor, and B to Spatial Relator supplier. I don't want a new attribute to be created within feature class A or B.  How can I do this?

I have a geometric network of connected wells, pipelines and facilities. The wells act as the source nodes, the pipelines act as the links and the facilities act as the sink nodes. I also have a point feature class at every pipeline junction section already created from a different script. What I'm trying to do is use FME to create a new point feature class (call it Attribute_Flagger) at any pipeline junction for the pipelines that connect at a junction but have a mismatch in the MOP (Max Operating Pressure) or H2S fields. Below is a diagram I created to understand this relationship better.  Does anyone have an FME solution to this problem?

Hello all,I've come up with a difference between Regex editor and workspace run result.As you can see below I'm expecting to get 28 matches for the feature which has the value written in Test String box in its pdf_page_text attribute. However, the string searcher transformer returns none.Does anyone know what causes this situation?

I have and ESRI Geodatabase line feature containing a mixture of arcs and normal lines. I tried extracting the arcs using GeometryFilter but this doesn't work because although FME recognises that the segment is an arc, the geometry type is "line".How can I filter these arcs?

Is there a way I can publish multiple workbenches on FME server

HI.I'm tasked with switching Python version for a service user without login.The setting under "FME Options" / "Translation" / "Preferred Python Interpreter" is therefore not immidiatedly available to me for this user.  I have ascertained, that this setting is both version and user dependant (but not 32/64 bit). But I've looked all over the registry for it without success. Can anyone help with this ?Cheers.Lars  

I'm given a location of files. I'm using the directory and files reader to get all the files in that directory. I then use the featureReader to get only the csv files. There are 181 attributes so instead of exposing them, I'm specifying a feature type to read. The csv files all have the same attributes, just in different orders. For instance one file could have attribute1,attribute2,attribute3 and another file would have attribute2,attribute1,attribute3. I'm using attributeManager to calculate some values and because all the files have the same attributes, I just used the order of the first csv so the order of the attributes leaving attributeManager is always attribute2,attribute1,attribute3.I am writing out csv based on the name from the path_rootname (to a different folder). The issue is that I need the output files to retain the same attribute order as the input csv. Because all features enter the AttributeManager, they all come out with the order from that transform
