HI everybody,is it possible to georeference a raster image without the four border coordinates (I already checked the "Georeferencer") ? I have several tiff files and within the image I`ve got four GCPs with image and world coordinates. I would like use these GCPs to georeference the images. One approach I tried was to set the 4 GCPs in the image with the RasterGCPSetter because the documententation for Ground Control Points says "GCPs can either be applied to the raster resulting in the image being georeferenced and tagged with the GCP coordinate system" Unfortunately I can't perform this last step of georeferencing on basis of these GCPs.Is there a way to perform this task? Thanks in advanceAnnika

I have a pipeline route and make an areaonarea overlay with a buffer to analyze how many buildings are in this buffer beneath both sides of the route to classify this segment (for example 1 mile long and 220 yards on both sides....thats clear so farbut i want a loop to shift the buffer (for example 200meters along the route) to get a new classification...so first overlay for example from 0 to 1000meters on the route...next from 200 to 1200meters and so on...how can i build this looping? (or do i need a looping?)simple for you i thinkCheeers Franco

Dear community, I just started with FME. I have an excel document with contains multiple columns. One column is called ‘Land Cover’. Depending on the values of 'Land Cover', I want to fill another column called 'classname' with new string values (‘Onkruid’ or ‘Gras’). The main idea is shown in the attached figure. I was trying to get this working with String Replacer or String Searcher. However, I did not manage. Could you help me out? Kind regards, Lambertus 

HI, I need to filter/select the points which are in the polygones.I have many points and a 35 polygons. The result should be 35 layers of polygones in which will be this points which are overlaping polygons. I tried to do it with PointOnAreaOverlayer, but it does not work how I want to. I tried it now only with 3 Polygones. The reprojecting system is ok, and they are overlaping. As a result I get separate polygone and points-which is the same result as at the beginning. How to merge this points and polygones together?The result:

I have a workbench that uses a python shutdown script using the "ESRI ArcGIS Pro 2.1/2.2/2.3(Python 3.6)" python compatibility. It works fine on desktop but when published to FME server (2019) I get the following error: ArcObjects could not be initialized. ArcGIS required for the specified Python Compatibility 'Esri ArcGIS Pro 2.1/2.2/2.3 (Python 3.6+)'. I have read the following: https://knowledge.safe.com/questions/73555/the-arcgis-python-36-interpreter-could-not-be-foun.html but I am unsure that this applies to my case as I we are running FME Server 2019.0.The same versions of FME and ArcGIS Pro are installed on both my desktop and on the machine running FME Server.What else am I missing to get this to work on FME Server?

Hi, I am looking at returning modified JSON requests from a Government geocoding service - the call would be issued from a Geocortex application.Geocortex issues the call (with an address or XY parameter) - the workspace issues the request, receives the JSON response, does a match on an external ESRI geodatabase to draw in an extra key:value pair, appends this to the response and returns the modified JSON to Geocortex.This is all working well, apart from the last bit - which I haven't got my head around yet. I could, but would prefer not to, write a JSON file out for Geocortex to read, although this would add more time.Any help would be much appreciated.Further information: Currently takes around 7+ seconds to run (700k records in the geodatabase, but I am using a 5m radius spatial filter) - a C# routine (using an address CSV) takes less than a second, so any performance ideas would be welcome.This would eventually be hosted on FME Server.Many thanks,Mark

In my classified raster image I have 3 different green colors and there are also other colors in the image. I would like to remove the green areas or make them transparent. Is there a way to do this automatically for multiple images?

Hi,I am running on Windows 10, FME Desktop 2018.1 writing from ArcSDE Environment to a File Geodatabase.If i write directly over I find the SDE Editor (NCGIS_GIS) is written into the name of the dataset (Roads), if I change the dataset (Roads-->Road) than the SDE parent prefix is not written out. I am unable to determine how to remove the Parent SDE naming from the dataset and I have 550 feature classes to migrate over that I do not want to manually (via user parameter) set.Thanks!

I have two datasets that are in two different projections and am trying to figure out if it is possible to undertake spatial intersection functions like spatialfilter. Do I need to re-project one or both datasets or is there a way to have FME to reproject on the fly?

Hi all, The image you can see the attribute table of my datasets. I would like to change the attribute position based on a logic like thisIf the position of an object is UNDEFINED, I would like to find an object that has same _id value and then if the object with same _id's position is RIGHT, assign the position value as LEFT. For example, the object with _id_rule 14 has position as UNDEFINED, so i would like the find the other object that has _id 11 (it is common in both object). In my case, It would be the object with _id_rule 10. Then I would like the check the position value of the object with _id_rule 10. If it is RIGHT, I would like to change UNDEFINED value to LEFT for the object with _id_rule 14I have tried to use combination of tester & sampler but could not figure out so far. Any idea? I've just started using FME. We have a few feature-services in ArcGIS Online with a lot of features (+/- 150.00). We are creating replica's every night on our server by using a Python script from esri. In essence the script works fine. But the replica's fail at least half the time because of time-outs, or sudden server error's on esri's side. I want to know if we can replace some of our workflows by using FME. I've created a script that reads the AGOL feature service and checks for changes/new features. This gets written to our Postgres database. The script works fine, but again, I get the same errors.I've changed the batch size to 10 features, but no luck. There's an option in the reader to start reading from a certain feature. I thought this might be a solution, but it still starts from 0 (maybe it's not reading / downloading it, but it still runs every 10 features. Hi everyone! I need to convert some coordinates from geographic to geocentric, X any Y are in SWEREF99 which can be easily converted, but Z is in RH2000 which is used in Sweden and other Scandinavian countries. I am trying to use CsmapReprojector and for vertical handling I used Orthometric height -> Geocentric or ellipsoid height. But then some "geoid height grid" file is needed! I downloaded grid files for FME desktop but nothing for Sweden id available! what shall be done now??

I have a set of PNG images downloaded from a service like: http://tile.openstreetmap.org/{z}/{x}/{y}.png The images are named: 09_118_180.PNG 09_119_180.PNG etc.How can I combine these image in FME and project them correctly?

I am using FME to extract API data and pull the JSON string into a SQL table. I am able to work with most of the tables but there are a couple of them that are nested and am having trouble getting to format properly.I have attached how the results need to look and sample of the JSON resultsI tried using JSON Fragmenter but i cannot get the results. I have a simple list n=74 codes which I read using the regular ROOT and SUB template expression: {fme:get-attribute("code")} but because of a nested comparison, they are nested as shown below. I get errors for the missing closing tags (</inv:And>) and If I pre-fill the closing tags, I get an error because they do not match the opening tags.This is perfect for a recursive loop, but a function would be needed within the xmlTemplater? or a script? or 2 loops one for the top half and another for the bottom half? Below is the end result (partial code) of the desired end result. I can manually add the last code <code>code n</code>. The rest is symmetrical. FME desktop 2018.Addition: terribly sorry I did not mention that code is a string.

Hi, does anyone know of a nice trick to delete features (rows/records) from a shapefile. We currently do this using the delete property in feature writer but this isn't available with shapefile.We basically want to be able to delete where a property = true, the only other thing to mention is this might leave the shapefile empty, so we cant simply use a filter and a writer because FME wont write out an empty shapefile.Many Thanks,Oliver

Hi,I'm trying to send an email (to myself) after a succesful translation. I implemented the steps mentioned in the link (with the featurewriter, sampler etc) by @aaronkoning :https://knowledge.safe.com/questions/4963/sending-mail-in-fme-desktop.htmlHowever, eventhough the translation itself is succesful, the email apparently gets rejected (see image), and in the inspector 17, I see the following error:Fme_rejection_code: ERROR_DURING_PROCESSING (don't mind the lack of output from the featurewriter, I was playing around with it just before screenshotting. It generates input just fine). What am I doing wrong? I'm using FME Desktop version 2018.1.0.1.

I have 70,000 routes which I need to combine into one layer/ network. So where the lines overlap I want to simplify that to one line. The intersector does this, but its been running since friday (6 days) and still hasn't merged them yet. Can anyone suggest a way to tile this process maybe, or any other way to speed up the processing?
