Hi guys,  A newbie here! I have the following question/problem:  I have to geometries sources, I have a geojson file with a specific geometry (this is an house with 4 corners, 5 coordinates), the second dataset is a city dataset that contains land parcels. The challenge is now to compare the two sources and become as outcome the affected land parcels, with affected land parcels I mean those parcels where the house is placed/located.In the first picture you can see what i did so far, i parsed the geojson file and I extracted a geometry, in the second source i extracted the land parcels geometries and adapted the coordinate system (LL84). In the second and third picture you can see both the graphics, so it works very well. Now i should "only" compare the geometries and get the affected land parcels.  Thank you in advance for your help!   

Hi,This might be simple but a tricky one for me. Also, I had read a lot about transposing data from rows to columns and vice versa, etc., but couldn't find much about this one.I have data in one column which are column separated.1,2,3 2,3,6 4,6 I want to append all the data one below the other and take the count of which number appeared how many times. I can take the count from Aggregator. 1 2 3 2 3 6 4 6  Approach that I followed: AttributeSplitter(list 0-100(since the values can be too many as well)) to disintegrate the values in different columns. But, that leads to a number of columns and appending all the columns and rows in one column becomes the issue.Any quick solution for this? Thanks!

I think what I want to do should be simple enough, but I'm struggling to figure out the syntax in the PythonCaller.  I'd appreciate any help with the following: I'm writing to an Enterprise Geodatabase using the FeatureWriter, and want to then grant two roles appropriate privileges to these feature classes. This is simple enough in a standalone ArcPy script with something like the below:fcList = arcpy.ListFeatureClasses()for fc in fcList:    arcpy.ChangePrivileges_management(fc, "Viewer", "GRANT", "AS_IS")    arcpy.ChangePrivileges_management(fc, "Editor", "GRANT", "GRANT")However, I can't figure out how to pass each feature class name to the PythonCaller (in the place of 'fc', above) . As I mentioned, I think this should be pretty simple, but I'm obviously missing something...

Hello,I would like to combine any overlapping/touching lines into one long simple geometric line.So far, what I could obtained is an aggregated geometry doing thisIntersectorNetworkTopologyCalculatorAggregatorAFter this task, I would like to extract the starting and ending vertices of the resulting lines and it fail when I used the VertexRemover because the resulting geometry is a multiple geometry (multicurve).Any ideas?

Following an upgrade to a new FME Cloud instance, my previous parent and child workspaces which ran under the same user account now run on different logins. My parent workbench runs on the correct login whilst all of the child workspaces run on a master login.I have checked the credentials and re-published all workbenches with the correct user account details but still hit this issue. If I add a grandparent workbench over both of these, it then runs on the correct login whilst the parent and child jobs run on the master login.

I have been using FME for some simple tasks but I would like to take it to the next level. I have workbench is a simple conversion from .pbf format and it loads this information into a geodatabase.Next up I would like to have this workbench download an updated pbf file before it starts the conversion.Is there a way to run an HTTPCaller and then automatically read a file that is downloaded from this transformer within a workspace? I am not sure how I would connect the output of the HTTPcaller so that is readable within my workspace.  

I turned off background maps in Data Inspector and not I can't figure out how to turn them back on. Please help.

Hi,I upgraded R version to 3.5.1 as well as its libraries. Unfortunately I ran in to the same sqldf error message again that I encountered sometime last September 2017 when I was using R 3.2.I know Liz advised me that the solution is to install R libraries as Administrator, but then I realized that this would be a challenge for FME/R users every time R is upgraded, which happens almost every 6 months.Question is: Is there a workaround such that the FME Desktop or RCaller transformer could be configured to access packages or libraries from a specified path, regardless of whether they are installed as a client/user or Administrator?Please advise.Thanks, Wilfredo

I have approximately 170 tables from a sqlite database that I need to convert to geojson and save as @Value(fme_feature_type). I have a workflow to process each table individually but I need a way to automate the process. Passing all tables through the same workflow merges the schemas of all input tables. It isn't practical to pass each table through its own set of transformers when dealing with this amount of tables. Some type of loop control seems logical to pass tables through the workflow one after another while ensuring that output schemas are refreshed after each iteration. I'm fairly new to FME so any help would be truly appreciated.

I received a sample of IFC data and was asked to import it into MS SQL database spatial database.I was able to import the data but no geometry. How do I get the geometry? This is new data for me. @DaveAtSafe

hello, I am currently running fme build 2019.1.0.0 and I am having trouble figuring out the exact cause of my "translation failed". I believe the translation fails when more than 2000+ line feature enter the "TopologyBuilder" transformer. I am working on a new computer and I updated to 2019.1, so i am unsure if it is a bug or, perhaps, I have something within system environment that is tripping-up FME Desktop.I am trying to find the longest path of a Three-Phase Electric Line (overhead & Underground primary) to the substation feeder (dynamicprotectivedevice). Ideally, I want to manipulate the data so I can find the longest line by tracing upline from point-feature (dynamicprocteivedevice) to the end any line segment that doesnt have line features on both end. This is the first workspace of this nature I have created, so I am not too sure how to approach it. I use the topolgybuilder to find vertexes that are the end, and have no connection. Hello everybody,I´m trying to find a way, how user can define source file for SchemaMapper. It´s all about editing source file for SchemaMapper on user side and then he will run a workspace.But, my main question - is there any way, how user can edit mapping file (with adding of new columns) and then incoming features will be automacally mapped? And is there any way, how can user choose a mapping file? I checked that at choosing mapping file, there is no possibility to set source mapping file as parameter. Do You have any idea, how to dynamically change SchemaMapper transformer?Thank You so much!Lubo

I have an Excel spreadsheet where I want to pass several attributes as variables into a SQL Query using a SQL Creator transformer. What is the best way to achieve this? I don't see how I can make the attributes as user parameters.

Default units when writing to FBX is cm (according to the logfile). I need to write to meters. I have tried using the Scaler, Affiner etc, but the "header" of the FBX still gets written as cm. I also tried to write to ASCII FBX and see if I could scale up the file afterwards - but with no luck. Now I tried to create a new coordinate system that is a copy of an existing one - but with units cm instead - to see if this "tricks" FME to think it is already in cm - even if it is in meter.The issue is that the opening software (Navisworks) seems to try to convert the geometry but not the material/texture/raster-coordinates. Anyhow it might be usefull to be able to write to m instead of cm.

Hi thereMy first post here, so be gentle. I have made FME workbench to calculate different kind of attributes from DWG file (line lengths, areas etc.) and export the results to Excel file. The idea is that the workbench calculates the chosen things from DWG file and distributes them according to the divider area. Calculating part is working like a charm, but I have a problem with arranging results to form I want. It is hard to explain (in English what I mean, so here is the picture that hopefully explain what iam looking after. I have spent way too much time to solve this problem by myself, so I am more than happy if someone could push me to right way.Thanks in advance!

When writing las files fme defaults to determining its own scale factor and offset values to utilise in the output file. For a las to las conversion is there a way of forcing fme to maintain/use the same offset and scale factor values that the input las file has?
