Hi, I'm trying to use point data from a shapefile to accurately place 3D objects (obj) in their correct geographic location, and then outputting the collection to FBX.I based my approach on the response by @takashi to the following forum question: Adding a 3D model and Geo-referencing it with multiple XY pointsIt seemed to work really well. However, when comparing the final FBX model to other 3D layers the markers seem to be in the wrong location.Input from QGIS matches FME 2D Inspector output pictured below.FBX Output in Unity (visualised below against other map layers exported from FME as 3D objects).The 3D objects in the FBX output appear to be spread to the north and the south and stretched to the east. This looks like a projection issue but the 2D output is fine so its unclear why the 3D output wouldn't be. I have a workspace that has three initial inputs - 1 - A DWG file, 2 - A PostgreSQL table and an excel file.I would like to use Workspace Runner to process all DWG files in a particular directory but when it runs doesn't kick off the process for each drawing as I would expect. How do I use workspace runner to pick up the correct input and process each of the DWG files?

Morning All, I have 4 equal polygons next to each other and i need to label them A,B C,B. Im struggling with my lists. They currently have no attributes My approach is to create a center point for all of them, to get the x and y. Then A should be the one with the smallest X and smallest Y, then B should be the Largest X and smallest Y etc etc. i get the inside x,y for all then build a list from them then sort the list by inside x but struggle from here. im unsure how to a list by two values ,ie x and y. i have tried list indexer, list exploder.  Thanks Steve point for each polygon then look for the [polygon with the smallest X and Y, this = A, The smallest X and

Hi all, I have a road network and I would like to combine them if the road is same, as in the following image . It works perfectly fine with LineCombinerHowever lines like in the images are getting combined but I do not want to combine those as there is an intersection. I can fix it with TopolgyBuilder but I want to keep the corresponding id. So therefore i was wondering if there is a way that LineCombiner does not combines if there is intersection like this?

I've got a few questions around the use of Python within an FME2017+ process and the possible scenarios.There seems to be a few ways in which I might need configure some Python to run in FME and I'm trying to understand all of the options. There are quite a few articles on the Knowledge Center but a few are getting a little long in the tooth now and several seem to suggest that things have changed in recent versions of FME and I think that's because there were some fairly significant underlying changes around 2012 or so.FME installs a build of Python that allows you to run some scripts. It seems to install 2.7 and 3.4 and 3.5 libraries (as per the Help>Options) but I can only find \\fmepython27 and \\fmepython35. Is 3.4 part of 3.5? Presumably if I use the option 'FME Python 2.7' it's using the FME installed Python interpreter?If I wanted to create a Python script that FME and another application like ArcGIS needed to use, presumably I'd need to change th

Good day,I create one map per ship showing its track of the last month. The map is output as pdf (Adobe Geospatial PDF Writer). By default the page orientation is portrait. I would like to dynamically change the orientation to landscape depending of the map's bounding box (width/length). How can I do it?

Paid_Services11.xlsx( my problem is i have an excel which is about the survey of stations, in some stations there are 3 restaurents and some had 4 restaurents and some only 1, but in survey form we gave questions for maximum 10 restaurents in mdc giscloud.when we export the data in excel it shows all 10 restaurents fields even if they filled for less . i want to remove the fields with no attributes.. sample file is attached .. thanks

Hello FME User,Does any one having experience to process LIDAR or Point Cloud data collected by Car mounted device.I need to classify the data in to Road Surface , Building , Tree trunks, electricity pole along with RoadThe bad news is in point cloud we don’t have any calcification values it’s “Zero” everywhere.Can any one please guides me. Unfortunately data can not be share. 

Is there a way to determine the number of pages in a pdf other than reading them all as prf_page_metadata and sampling the last feature? Some of my pdfs are over 5000 pages, and this seems inefficient, especially as this information appears in the Document Properties in Acrobat.  Setting the Parameter Pages to Read to -1 produces an error.

I have a parent bench that uses a workspace runner to run a child workbench several times using different source shapefiles. The parent and child workbench's run with no errors but when I check the file directory the child bench has not written anything!This is reflected in the child workbench log which states that the expected number of features have been read but non have been written.Does anyone know why this is happening? The child bench runs fine and writes as expected when run manually.

Hi all,I am reading an MongoDB collection and write it to GeoJSON. It is generally working fine however it writes some backslashes out of some reason. As you can see in the images, for conditions value, I am getting this "\\". Any idea how can I get rid of them? 

I have a dataset, where one of my columns is a 'pack date', unfortunately some of the values within this column are null.I am trying to use Conditional Value within the attribute manager to give a dummy date wherever a null value appears in my table.So far I have:If Pack Date ATTRIBUTE_VALUE_NULL as my test condition.How would I assign an attribute value of, say 01/01/1990? Thanks,Tom

Hello,I have two columns in a Excel sheet "Year" and "Range" with more than 2000 rows. I would like to compare those 2 columns and see if the Year is truly in the Range or not. I have a continuous raster with cell values between 0 and 100. I want to reclassify these values to 5 classes:For example everything between 90 and 100 should have the new cell value 1.I do not know how to extract the cell values to make them accessible for the conditional comparison. In the screenshot you can see my current approach. The problem is @CurrentAttribute() which is the wrong choice to extract the cells.What's the correct way to extract the cell value? 

As it says, is there any log file or something that will give me information what are older values of token for some particular user? I also need a time information of how long did old token last (from-to).We experienced restart of a token but we don't know why... We're working on FME Server 2017.1.

Hello,I wanna create a shapefile reader wich prompts me everytime for a source file destination beacause i am planning to apply my workspace on multiple files. I made the sourcefile as a user parameter, but when I change the file I get always the following message : Unexpected Input: During translation, some feature were read that did not match a reader feature type in the workspace. This can happen if the reader dataset if changed, or a reader feature type removed or renamed.

Update: Newb issue with FME Server. Opened up port 587 on the FME Cloud security settings. So as with most things I solved my own problem minutes after I gave up and asked for help.I am building an application using FME Server (cloud) and part of it is an email exchange. Using the extensive tutorials provided by Safe (thank you for that) I am able to receive and process the email from an Office 365 accout with imap settings outlook.office365.com and publish to a READ_EMAIL notifier. The issue I am now having is setting up the SMTP settings. Following the great tutorials by Safe I can successfully send via my gmail account. However, Office365 seems to be another animal. I've logged into the account and used the specified settings:Server name: smtp.office365.comPort: 587Encryption method: TLSI've tried every permutation of this (SSL, TLS, nothing, etc.) The only place I can see the difference is there is no option to verify the certificate (yes or no.) I'm going through the FME Server Authoring training, and in one exercise it had me start projects that would run pretty much indefinitely, then cancel them........ but there's no cancel button. I know it's supposed to be in the top right corner, that's all the documentation, but it's not there. I can't keep doing anything now because I can only have the one job running at a time in the first place (so I've got another few things in the queue I also can't cancel). When I first start a job, I get the "cancel" button on the confirmation page, and it works... but it's too late for that on these infinity-projects. So... help? Why don't I have a cancel button? And what do I do?? (Note: I am not admin, and the one person who probably is admin is at the Esri conference for the next week ie it's just me with server access currently)(proof attached just for fun)
