I'm trying to download a filtered csv from a URL but the HTTPCaller is transforming the URL in a weird way by adding codes for single quotes, greater than signs, and spaces in the URL. The previous step in my model is a SQLCreator that queries a table in my database to figure out what the latest payment_date is, then returns that date formatted as: '2019-09-20T00:00:00.000'In the HTTPCaller, I have the following in the Request URL: https://*baseURL*.csv?$where=payment_date...and the following as a Query String Parameter: > (in the name column) and InvoiceDate (in the value column but set as the result of the query above.The URL I need to form with this is: https://*baseURL*.csv?$where=payment_date>'2019-09-20T00:00:00.000'Instead, what I'm getting is this which doesn't work in a browser or in FME: https://*baseURL*.csv?$where=payment_date&%3E=%272019-09-20T00%3A00%3A00.000%27' The best I can tell is that FME is translating the symbol for gr

Hi I have a workbench (see attachment 1) which works out the area of each feature in a dataset (BrownfieldSitesInGreenbelt) that is within a constraint (in this case Ancient Woodland). I would like to repeat this process with all the constraints feature classes within a file geodatabase.I know I need to use the workspace runner to do this and have created a workbench (attachment 2), but I do not know how to get it to iterate through all the feature classes in the file geodatabase. At the moment it seems just to read all the items in the FGDB and not do much else.Please could someone advise where I am going wrong? Many thanks

Hi All,I've got a situation where I am dynamically feature reading in any number of feature types, and exporting via the generic port. I then have a list of all possible feature types and the schema mapping required. Am I right in assuming the SchemaMapper requires attributes to be exposed to be "mapped"? I'm looking for a solution where the SchemaMapper can see the dynamic unexposed attributes and map them.

Hello, I have a BLOB field, it is supposedly multiple points that form a polyline, but I cannot export the blob into a usable geometry. I have tried GeometryReplacer and GeometryExtractor but I have not been able to get usable results. I attached an excel file with the BLOBs

Hello Community,I am having some challenges writing multiple records into a valid json output. What I have is working using a text writer but it is missing the comma "," between the individual records. I was about to explore building a list and change my json template or do i need an aggregate? I seem to be confusing myself with this small detail.Below is an example of my current output into a text writer. I pretty much followed the Json Writer article (https://knowledge.safe.com/articles/44294/json-writing-with-jsontemplater.html ) which was a huge help but the difference here is I am fanning the output by date so multiple records will be written I just cannot figure out how to make the json valid.20190711.jsonI believe just need a comma to separate these 2 records to make it validAny help would be appreciated!!ThanksRonnie

I have set up a file geodatabase reader (ArcObjects) and pointed it to read one feature class in a file geodatabase. The feature class has 50 features. When I run the process, it reads 100 features. I tried deleting one feature from the feature class, and now it reads 99 features, while ArcCatalog shows only 49 features in the feature class. This issue has not been consistent -- sometimes if I change the settings of another file geodatabase reader (pointed at a different file geodatabase) in the workspace, the problematic reader will only read 50 features. I am trying to use dynamic inputs, passed to the reader from a scripted parameter. Why is this happening, and is there an easy solution? I am using FME through ArcGIS's Data Interoperability extension, version 10.5. It is FME version 2017.0.0.1 (20170316 - Build 17271 - WIN32) and at this time upgrading is not an option for me.

Hello,Is there a possibility to change the start/end point of closed curve? I created closed curves using the LineCombiner (for merging line segments to 1 closed track with the same start and end point). Now I have a shapefile with starting points of tracks, and I want the closed curves to start/end in their starting point instead of the random start/end that is created whith the LineCombiner. Anyone an idea how to do this?

I'm having difficulty accessing data with a WFS reader. I can read the feature types, and the translation is 'successful', but returns 0 features. I can load the WFS in QGIS too. I've tried amending various parameters without success, including: connection timeout length, max features, ignore application schema (this worked with the previous version of the WFS), and using a search envelope. The WFS is: https://environment.data.gov.uk/spatialdata/historic-flood-map/wfsWould really appreciate if anyone can nudge me in the right direction!

I am trying to set-up a very simple converter that takes one dwg with defined layer names and output to a new dwg that matches the layer names that we want then to be called. Unfortunately all feature_types in the output end up the same feature type.  

I have an FME workspace "A" using a CAT reader that works well.I have another workspace calling it with a WorkspaceRunner, which goes through a bunch of files using a "Directory and File pathnames" reader.In the workspaceRunner Parameters of workspace "A" and can't select "attribute value" from the "Directory and File pathnames" reader :/I changed my workspace "A" for a plain text reader and now I can select "attribute value -> path_filename". There seems to be a bug with the CAT reader inside a WorkspaceRunner :/Am I doing something wrong?

How can I separate every single word from the string e.g. “GROUND ROUND STATION 49” in String Searcher by using regular expressions? I have never used regular expressions earlier. Expression \\s*(\\w+)\\s* can select first word “ground” but how to obtain 2nd word, 3rd word, n word in single separate columns? By trial-error-method I got the second word by applying this expression \\s+(\\w+)\\s+. However how to create more general expresion? 

I'm trying to read the data from an Oracle Locator database into FME. When reading data through both the Oracle Spatial Object reader and the Oracle Non-Spatial reader everything goes fine.However, with the Oracle Spatial Relational reader, I get the following errors when trying to get the table list (see image 1): The log file says the following (see image 2) Am I getting this error because I "only" have the Oracle Locator database, and not a full Oracle Spatial database? Or is the error due to missing parameter settings? To be clear, I'm using the same database connection.

I am using Kafka connector to consume data from Kafka topic.Kafka topic has 5 partitions.I want to configure FME job in such a way that Kafka connector consumes data from topic at partition level making partition as unit of parallelism for better speed. Is Kafka connector has inbuilt feature to handle partition parallelism hiding from developer. That way I can be assured of parallelism taking place with single kafka connector in the job. Please confirm.

I'm trying to call a PowerShell script using the System Caller transformer. The syntax of the system caller command line is: C:\\Windows\\System32\\WindowsPowerShell\\v1.0\\powershell.exe -ExecutionPolicy Bypass -file "C:<path>powershell_script.ps1"I'm using it to access ProjectWise and run some process. I have tested it with PowerShell and it only works with Admin rights. However it does not work within FME and does not recognize the Powershell module commands for ProjectWise. The error I get is:'New-PWLogin : The term 'New-PWLogin' is not recognized as the name of a cmdlet, function, script file, or operable'I have tried running the workbench with Admin rights but it still gives the same error.

This is being raised when using an Esri ArcGIS Portal Service Feature Writer. 24,000 features out of 94,000 are successfully written before this is raised by FME Desktop 2019.1.00

Hello FME community, I can't login to FME server anymore. When checking the Windows services, I can see that the FME Server Database is not running. When trying to manually restart it, it switches off again after a few seconds. And when I look into the ../FMEServer/resources/logs/installation/CreateDatabase.log or CreateUser.log I see that it is looking for a database on localhost on a certain port (see figure). However, I can't find this postgresql database back. I did install a new postgresql database yesterday, but that one is operating on a different port than mentioned in the above log files. Could it be that FME server is looking to the wrong postgresql database? I am looking forward to the responses. Kind regards,Tim 

HiI would like to transform from DWG to TAB. My DWG's are currently in tile format, they each have a name eg. 1234.dwg and then within that they have multiple levels, so Road, building, Vegetation etc. Would it be possible to get this to directly translate into TAB. With a single tab file and then within the file I would have the multiple levels?Thanks for any help. B

Hey Everyone,I am using FME 2018.0 and it starts with a creator and a FeatureReader. This FeatureReader reads an excel file, and in the parameters I designate it to only read a particular row/column cell and that works fine. My challenge now is that I want to make the excel file a published parameter so no matter which excel file is used, the FeatureReader will always use the same excel parameter rules to read the particular row/column cell. I started by making a file published parameter and only accepted excel file types. For the FeatureReader, the dataset box (where you add which excel file to read) I added the user parameter function to grab whatever excel file the user adds. This however doesn't work because the FeatureReader parameters are cleared out and it wont find the particular column/row anymore. Any ideas? Thank you!or this issue?

As I never have migrated FME server before, I'm not sure what to expect / what the best practice is. I have mainly standalone workspaces in server 2016 which are started via the API from an external application. I studied the "Migrating From REST API V2" documentation and understand the changes.What is the correct way to migrate the workspaces? Download them using desktop 2016 and upload them using 2019? I understand there are no guarantees and will check outputs but should this work in general? Or is this a real no go.For desktop workspace migrations I copy - paste all transformers in a new workspace and then upgrade them individually, or just rebuild the entire workspace. But I would not prefer to do that for all server workspaces if not needed.
