Howdy,I have street light points that I need to match up with their nearest address based upon an address point file. However I need to make sure that the matching address is on the same side of the street. 1) Is there a way to have the neighbor finder tool recognize a street center line geometry as a barrier and exclude a potential neighbor if the candidate angle crosses over a street center line?2) If that can't be done then I'd love suggestions on how to do this most efficiently.  Assuming the NeighborFinder can't evaluate a match based on a line barrier, the first process of achieving my goal that comes to mind for achieving this would be:run the NeighborFinder, then create a line between the street light point and the nearest neighbor address point (PointConnector),check to see if the new line crosses a street centerline (e.g. SpatialFilter),use the results to identify which light point to address point matches ought to be excluded/prevented;re-run the neighbor finder

So in my workspace I read in an Access mdb file in. Run it through two attributesplitters transformers to split the BlockNO and LotNo fields I the have an AttributeManager transformer setup where I try to clean up and conact the fields back together. I do this be creating 2 new attributes Block and Lot an using a condition statement to reassemble the pieces like this However I can't format the if correctly, every case false and goes to the Else statement producing this type of outputThe "." with no value after it is what I am trying to avoid. Any help would be appreciated. Chris M

Hello,I have just finished to install FME Server (build 19 617).(Installation with our own Oracle db).I can connect to the Web interface, launch workspaces, build automations, create new user, publish workspace, etc. BUT I CANNOT create a new Database Connection (Oracle or geodatabase, etc.). When I tried I get this message : The rest api "/fmerest/v3/namedconnections/connections" get a code 500 in response. I also tried to publish a workspace with a database connection but I get this message : Database connections access failed - FME Server encountered an error and reported the following message.929028:SQL Query SELECT NCID FROM fme_nc_namedconnections WHERE connectionname = ? AND username IS NULL failed. Error: Unsupported featureRequest to http://xxxxxxxxxx/fmerest/v3/namedconnections/connections returned status code 500. I found a dirty workaround :1. Insert a new row in the table fme_nc_namedconnections in the Oracle FME Server database2. Then the connection is visible

Hello,The screenshot below illustrates my solution for this question.Compare two columns (Category and Class) and detect if the Class entered is in the right Category I thought that this works fine, but found a wrong result when the comparison mode for the IN operator was set to Automatic.The result will be correct shown as following If you set Case Sensitive or Case Insensitive to the Comparison Mode, but I believe that Automatic mode must return the correct result as well.I suspect there could be a potential bug here. Could you please take a closer look at this? (FME 2019.1.2 build 19630)

FME Server throws this error when I try to create a new user account: Error: org.postgresql.util.PSQLException: ERROR: duplicate key value violates unique constraint "fme_useraccount_pkey" Detail: Key (useraccount_id)=(#) already exists. where "#" increments after every attempt. It seems to be getting hung up on this user account id every time I try to create a new user. There is no such user already created. Background: we recently migrated FME Server to a new hosting environment and the issue only appeared after the migration. version: FME Server 2016.1.2.1 - Build 16674 - win64Any idea what could be going wrong here?

I am trying to connect FME desktop to ArcGIS Online. Taking hint from the article in this url, the networks team whitelisted www.arcgis.com and also bypassed authentication. Attached is the image showing the steps carried out by them (for people with knowledge of proxy/firewall). I have rubbed out some parts.I have been able to create Web Connection however unable to retrieve data from AGOL. I get the error file attached agol_fme_error.txt when trying to fetch Feature Service in the AGOL in Esri AGOL Feature Service Parameters dialog box.I didn't mention filtering to the networks team before carrying out the work. Could it be a reason? Any other suggestions are welcome.Extra information:a. FME Desktop 2018 64bitb. Able to login to AGOL in web browsersc. Hello, I am relatively new to FME and try to extract a certain file from a downloaded ZIP file. From this particular file, all I know is that it contains a particular string. I realize that you could do all this by hand, but I would like to automate the workflow because it is quite common. One possibility would be to unzip this file with a system caller, but then I am overwhelmed how to proceed without adding a new reader to the Workbench.

I have a ESRI Geodatabase (ArcSDE Geodb) writer which is returning: An error occurred while attempting to start an edit session. The error number from ArcObjects is: '-2147217150'. The error message from ArcObjects is: {The current version does not support editing (base, consistent, or closed) [An open transaction was detected. All user transactions must be closed prior to StartEditing.]}The problem is there are no locks on this feature class layer so no open transactions? 

Hello All,I have found a few great posts that helped me get the order of vertices in a polygon but am trying to work out the how to get the start and end coordinates in correct order.My workflow is as follows:1. Read in polygon features2. Use Chopper and counter to break into points and attribute.3. Use Chopper and counter to break into lines4. Use PointOnLineOverlayer to get the start and end coordinated.5. Attribute lines with Start and End point ids. What I am finding is that the start end end points are correct but the order in the line table is not.In the example below, I have a triangular parcel where it goes from point 81736 to 81735 to 81750, so I hoping to get something like1 - 81750 to 817352 - 81735 to 817363 - 81736 to 81750but am getting the following Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. Here is the workspace that I am working on

Hi!I'm looking to create some 3d parallel offsets of existing 3D polylines. My end goal is to actually create a polygon a certain width around a polyline but it must retain the 3d elevations. I've looked into the following tools: Offsetter, OffsetCurveGenerator, Buffer and 3DBufferer. All of these are close however don't quite get me there. The buffer is perfect however is only 2D. I do not know how to then restore the elevations so that it retains its 'parallel figure'. Note that the vertices of the 3D polys have different values, they are not all the same value, ie goes up and down.Any suggestions?Buffer result:Buffer result 3D view:

As a tool in between i try to utilize FME.My question:How can I edit the height of a citygml building (LoD2)? Hi, I have a list of fmw files like this one:That I want to use to go through and extract some data or each fmw using the FME Workspace (FMW) reader.To do this, I have created a workbench “FileProperties.fmw” that takes the feature type FileProperties of a workbench using FME Workspace (FMW) reader and puts data to a csv.Then, because I want to apply this process to multiple workbenches and not just one, I have created a separate workbench "RunWorkbench.fmw" which uses a WorkspaceRunner that runs FileProperties.fmw workbench for each of the files of the list. Each line of the list is used as a variable, so FileProperties workbench analyses each fmw file in the list and extracts the data into csv.In the WorkspaceRunner configuration I run fmw_properties.fmw. WorkspaceRunner knows which workbenches to analyze each time because in fmw_properties.fmw I created create a published parameter that will pass the workbench to be analysed. This is how I setup the published parameter in

I am looking to take a point feature class that acquires a GPS location from our Utility trucks every 15 seconds and create routes driven based upon historical data. End goal is I would like to build a polyline feature class to reduce the amount of data that I am publishing to our Portal to improve the performance of querying data, as we are acquiring approximately 2.5-3 million points within a 30 day span.Below is an example of the data being received.Here is what the data means:Vehicle is Offline = IsIdle - 0 & GpsActive - 0Vehicle is active but in a Idle State = IsIdle - 1 & GpsActive - 1Vehicle is Actively Moving = IsIdle - 0 & GpsActive - 1The part I am getting stumped on is how I can define routes driven. In the example above, there would have been 2 routes driven. The first route would be fromto  and the second route being toBelow is an example of where I would like to take the data, with the addition of some sort of RouteID field. I have to generate approximatively 850 Excel workbook and I was wondering if it was possible using only one Writer or if I had to use 850 Writers.I thought of the possibility of generating 850 sheets in one Excel workbook, but I would have trouble actually opening the workbook with my computer (lot of memory used).Also I work with a 2017 version of FME (I stumbled in the past on issue that could be esaily resolved with 2018, but I had to work in the limit of 2017).Thanks

I have a workbench that creates an ECW wind heat map from a TIFF file. I have now created another image (png, JPEG or BMP) as a legend that I want to place on top of the ECW heat map, at a specific location. I was unable to find a way to do this, but may be missing an easy way to do this? Two steps are required.1. Place the legend image on top of the ECW heat map.2. Place it at a specific position and at a specific size before finalising the ECW image. Any help on how to do this would be much appreciated.
