HiWhen I created my Reader, I can read all my data and especially my geometry column but this column doesn't display . I try different coordinate system but it does not match. Same issue.What's wrong with this Reader ?Thanks

Hi, does anyone know a way to limit attributes returned from WFS. I just want to return back the unique id so I can cross check against a clone out the data.This structure works in postman but I dont see a way for it to work in the fme reader. Does something need to be added to the xml filter? http://example.com/geoserver/wfs?  service=wfs&  version=2.0.0&  request=GetFeature&  typeNames=namespace:featuretype&  featureID=feature&  propertyName=attribute1,attribute2 Many Thanks Oliver

I'm trying to configure a new desktop for use with FMe Desktop and other software and i'm trying to figure out if FME Desktop gets any benefit from multi core processors and if so how many cores is recommended, i'm trying to decide between an 14 core I9 and an 8 core I7 specifically. There will be other software running simultaneously(Microstation V8I for example) but if FME won't go any faster with more cores then the I9 will be overkill. The technical requirements are not really helpfull for this as far as i could tell.

How to share publicly a published FME service, I’m not sure how to share publicly a published FME service. as I wanted to access a particular fme service, I’m required to push logins as shown in the screenshot below. How to make the fme service executed with no logins?    

I have I directory watch on FME Server that triggers a workspace to move a file that inserts into the directory watch-folder, to the FME-server with a SystemCaller transformer.It works fine when using a file that dosen´t cointain any special characters, however when I have a file with å, ä or ö the SystemCaller fails according to the log-file. In the log file, a file that spells "åäö.pdf" have the name "åäö.pdf" in the log file.However the path to the file also contain å, ä and ö, but spells correctly in the logfile. I´ve tried and wright the filename-attribute that generates from the JSONFlattener to a txt-file from the same workspace, and it also spells correctly.I´ve tried to add "@echo off && chcp 1252 &&" infront och the copy-command in the SystemCaller, but it dosen´t seem to work for the filename. So what must be the problem is that when the SystemCaller runs on FME Server and try to find "åäö.pdf" it can´t find it. S

I have created an FME app to run a workbench on the server. From documentation, it looks like anyone with the link to the app can run this workbench. Is there a way to restrict access? 

I have a state boundary and I want to use a map scale as a parameter to calculate the Tile width and Tile height (ground units) as attributes for the Tiler.Given a coordinate system, how do I calculate that width and height of that bounding box at a scale of 1:100 using an Expression Evaluator? Then do it again for the next scales 1:500, 1:1000, etc. 

I am trying to write out some text to a pdf and I keep recieving the error "Unsupported font family 'Arial'. Reverting to 'Helvetica'.   I receive the error regardless of which font I try to use.  The Pdfstyler shows all of the fonts installed on my C:\\windows\\fonts folder, but just can't seem to access them when the workbench is running.   Also, I don't even have Helvetica installed on my machine.  I am using windows 7 and FME 2012.  Is there a setting I need to change?

I'm trying to get ground, and vegetation from a set of laz files, but there is no output from the PointCloudLASClassifier transformer. Is there something I'm missing that should go between the reader and classifier?I'm running FME 2019.1.1.0. There aren't any parameters for the transformer, so I'm not sure what other info I can include.

Hello all,I am running FME(R) 2018.1.2.1 (20190319 - Build 18592 - WIN64)I have a dataset of points (along a road) and I want to use the LineBuilder to create lines.Each point has a ROAD_SECTION_ID (character field) which uniquely identifies the road.Each point also has a TDIST (numeric field) which is the distance along the road.I am trying to sort the points appropriately before they go into the LineBuilder. They should be sorted firstly by ROAD_SECTION_ID and secondly by TDIST.However, the result of the sort is wrong. The features are sorted firstly in ascending order of TDIST, then in descending order of ROAD_SECTION_IDI have reversed the order in the Sorter, but there is no differenceThe outcome is that the LineBuilder does not work like it should

I am attempting to write to CSV file where the filename includes date/timestamp. My situation is the same as the question here: https://knowledge.safe.com/questions/35824/write-csv-file-where-filename-includes-datetimesta.html. I've tried adding the timestamp to the name but it produces a CSV for each row of the original table. I tried a parallel Creator>DateTimeStamper> but it generates two CSVs. I tried using a FeatureMerger but I'm confused as to what to join on; My options are to join on _timestamp and a column from the source data, which don't match. Should I ask a new question for this particular instance of the problem or try posting on aforementioned thread?

I have a workbench which takes two schemas, merges them using a FeatureMerger, takes the output from that and merges it with a third dataset schema. This is then fed into a SchemaMapper transformer, with:Source attribute -> Destination attribute mappingSource attribute -> Filter attribute value filterNew attribute = New attribute valueHowever, the output, when viewed with an inspector and when written to a GDB feature class, is identical to the input, albeit with the _schemamapper_row_ids attribute added (and appearing to be populated with data indicating the mapping has worked. My understanding is at the very least, the new attributes should be appearing to indicate the transformer is behaving as expected.

I have an IFC file representing a Stormwater network, and it has IFCFLOWSTORAGEDEVICE features representing nodes and IFCBUILDINGELEMENTPROXY features representing pipes.I have been able to pull out all the IFCPROPERTYSINGLEVALUE attributes for the node features thanks to daveatsafe's excellent answer here.However the pipes are a little more challenging as there seems to be some sort of aggregate standing in between the geometry and the attributes, and I can't expose the attributes in the same way. Is there any way to configure automations or publications such that a workspace can be triggered via email from one of several senders? Both publications and automations can filter by email subject, and the Filter action in automations can then filter emails based on one sender, but there appears to be no way to filter based on a list of senders ("from either Person A or Person B"). Is this in fact the case?Details, if they help: we'd like to enable a certain work group of five people to be able to trigger a specific workspace via email. While they can and will also use a specific subject line, I'd like to be able to ensure that no one outside the work group can trigger that same workspace even if they know the "key" subject line.Is there a way to achieve this, short of using five separate Filter actions per automation? I try to relate boreholes (points) to 3D Solids from Cad. (autocad_original_entity_type = autocad_solid3d) FME does read the 3D Solids as surfaces. (fme_geometry = fme_aggregate / fme_type = fme_surface)The way I found to do this is to convert the surfaces to polygons with a SurfaceFootprintReplacer, then use a SpatialRelator to define the relation. But this takes a lot of time as I have quite a bit, quite big solids.So I wonder: Am I doing this correctly? Does an alternative solution exist?Thanks!

Hello!Can somebody please try to figure out why in some cases bufferer doesn't work. I have 2 streets with the same name. I'm creating buffer around them gruped by street name. I want those two buffers to become one buffer.But when I put buffer amount = 5 nothing is passed through bufferer. If I change it to 3 or 10 it works. For 1, again it doesn't work. I played with the buffer size but can't figure out some rule why it works with some numbers but not with the other.Here is the data if someone want's to try.
