I have a large, relatively complex workspace that performs a few tasks - loads data, validates bearings, distances, areas, creates subsets of the data and then creates a number of reports, PDF, HTML and XML)The PostGIS database is located externally on a separate hosted server.On my laptop the workspace takes less than 2 minutes to complete. My laptop is a pretty stock standard HP, Windows 64 Bit with 8GB RAM.I have published to FME Server Cloud and had a starter configuration established with 2 virtual cores and 4GB RAM. This configuration caused the server to melt down and the jobs just kept failing with no specific errors. I upgraded to the standard configuration with 2 virtual cores and 8GB RAM. The workspace failed after about 30 minutes and what appeared to be multiple cycles of attempting to run but still no errors in the log.Below is the memory monitoring. Hello!I have SHP file with the bunch of streets. There are many streets with the same name which is ok - streets with the same name can exist. But also there are some streets with the same name which are actually one street but entered as two different features instead of the one feature. So those streets have two geometries and the same name and are actually one street. I want to isolate (select) such streets. Is there any suggestion how can it be done in FME?So, for example, street with the name "Oak street" can have splitted geometry in one location but also there can be many other "Oak streets" in other locations (some of them regular with only one geometry, but also maybe other with also splitted geometries).So, the idea is to select streets with the same name which are in the neighborhood of 100m (for example 100m - the assumption is that those are most likely streets with the splitted geometry).I would appreciate any help and thanks in advanced!

Hi,I have ArcGIS desktop 10.2.2 (with background geoprocessing) and ArcGIS Pro 2.1.2 installed. Hi,I'm relatively new to FME but am interested in running a workbench that loops/iterates parameter values (Neighbour Finder distance, Bufferer distance, and a number value in a tester) multiple times.E.g. I want to generate outputs with a buffer distance of 5000, 10000, 15000, neighbour counts of 4,5,6 etc. What is the best way to set a workbench running, that will generate multiple different outputs, based on iterating through parameter values, naming outputs accordingly? I wish to end up with multiple outputs in a format similar to output_$BufferDistance_$NeighbourDistance_$NumberValue

I have some vehicle GPS tracking lines. The lines have gaps in them. I want to join the lines.The data is ordered and categorised so I can use a Chopper to chop the lines into vertices and then a LineBuilder with "Group By" set to the vehicle Type and "Group By Mode" set to "Process When Group Changes" to rebuild the lines with gaps joined.However, in the source, consecutive lines may be a different vehicle of the same Type (I can see they are different vehicles but there is nothing in the data to differentiate individual vehicles), so I get unwanted connections.There are two methods I could use to prevent most of these unwanted connections:if the distance to the next line is too far do not create a connectionthe source data contains start and finish times for each track, so if the finish time of the current line is after the start time of the next one, do not create a connectionBut I'm not sure how to do either of these - can anyone help?

I have a workspace (2018.1) that read a ArcSDE feature class into a Geojson file and then read the Geojson into MongoDB. Hello all,I have 1721 point features, which I am combining into a single line using LineBuilder.Each node has a datetime stamp, and I want to populate the line with the attributes "start_date" and "end_date" drawn from the "date" attribute of the first and last point feature.In the LineBuilder I have ticked the parameter Generate List, so I have a list with 1721 elements.I can use the Attribute manager to create a new attribute "start_date" with a value of;@Value(points{0}.date)However, I fail to do the equivalent for the last element in the list.@Value(points{-1}.date) is not accepted by the Text editor or the List Element Selection: points{}.dateI thought I might solve it by using ListElementCounter, which does create a new attribute with a value of 1721, but again the List Element Selection: does not accept an attribute value as an input. 

I am looking at valve turning data from a hand held device which is stored in an access database.The database has torque charts stored as an attribute in one of the tables ,It is an encoded (UTF-16LE)My intention is to split this into separate columns and make an histogram chart from it.Any direction on how to get at it will be very much appreciated.

I am suddenly receiving a pipe separated text file with imbedded pseudo-unicode characters that are supposed to be a macronated 'o'. Unfortunately it translates to a ^Z in the ASCII file.All the vowels can have macrons in Maori and there is a new policy that all government departments must add macrons. If all software was unicode aware then this might work.Some programs will handle this, reading the whole file regardless of the ^Z but many stop. The FME CSV2 reader stops. Oddly the FME Textfile reader does handle them with encoding set to DOS-Latin-1 (ibm-850)What can I do?The simplest idea is to translate the pair of characters ^Zo back to a plain ascii o.Surely tr could just strip the ^Z...nope.I have tried to use utf-8 encoding parameter on the CSV reader and other tricks with tr without success.I have attached a test sample.asc of two records.Unix wc -l returns a count of 1, not a good start since I can cat two records.

When viewing in FME Data inspector it shows the bands as Band 0 (RED16), Band 1 (GREEN16), Band 2 (BLUE16), and Band 3 (UINT16) but the image in the viewer is black. I am able to view it in ArcMAP fine (although it is mainly red because ArcMAP is interpretting the NIR as the red band, the Red band as blue, and the Blue band as green.

Is there a way that FME can "bypass" the native format of .img Garmin (or intermediate format?) so I can create a transparent map to add on top of an official Trackmaps in both BaseCamp and GPS?

I try to drape a high resolution orthophoto (12'000x12'000pix) to a TIN with the AppearanceSetter. But I only get an black surface. When I resize my orthophoto to 3'000x3'000 Pixel everything works fine.  Is this a limitation in the AppearanceSetter? Hello, Not sure if I have phrased the question correctly, but this is what I need to do:I'm processing signal data from text files. The data has attributes on each of the 7 rows, then the actual signal values in rows underneath. I'm using a VariableSetter and VariableRetriever successfully to process the data as each file has a different meter id or signal date.I now need to process the data into 15 minutes intervals which I have done. However, these 15 minutes intervals (96 in one day) need to be aligned to a master table to fill in the blank rows where no signal data was received for the missing 15 minute intervals.I can use a FeatureMerger / FeatureJoiner to join my two datasets by the 15 minute datetime, but this doesn't transpose the actual meter data (meter id, other ids, date of data) into the empty fields, and I need to do this to build the 96 interval profile for each text file.Any ideas how I can fill in these missing values when I join the tables together? I am having some problems writing extended attributes to a dwg, I have attached the source dwg and my workflow.The source dwg contains a polyline that has several fields of extended data, my aim is to be able to change a few of the fields with a string replacer, for example in this case change “JSY” to “CWG”.I am able to inspect the extended data list in the reader and change the values, however when it comes to writing to dwg the attributes don’t come through. Running the command XDLIST, shows no extended entity data on the entity.Any help would be appreciated.

I have a CSV file with attributes in several columns and coordinate pair(s) in a single column. The column with coordinate data has X and Y coordinates arranged like this:Y, X, Y, X  430,495,678,272  Y, X Y, X Y, X Y, X  82265,5487539 82479,5487545 82553,5487896 82645,5486795Coordinates may contain one or more coordinate pairs. There is an attribute within the file indicating the number of coordinates pairs the feature has but no attribute to indicate whether the feature is a point, line, or polygon. What would be a way to create correct geometry from the list of coordinates?

Hi there -  I'm trying to make schema changes to an SDE feature class as well as an SDE table.... both have attachments and the obligatory relationship class. When I try and output to the writer using "Drop and create", the attachments (and relationship class) are deleted. But when I output using another option (e.g. truncate), they are not deleted. I'd like to use "drop and create" because we need to reorder fields and add new ones. Wondering if I'm doing something wrong, or not understanding the process, or not using a much better alternative. Or possibly all 3!
