I have published a workspace to FME Server enabling the Data Streaming service with parameter Include Writers in Stream set to the output from a File copy writer. This output is a PDF file and the MIME type parameter of the writer is set to application/pdf.When executing the workspace in FME Server, the PDF opens as text inside the browser. Shouldn't it open as a PDF file inside the browser or show the dialogue to save it? This is what shows in the browser:To give some context to the problem, the workspace builds an html that is transformed to PDF using the HTML2PDFConvertor. To be able to stream the HTML2PDFConvertor output (the PDF file), I've set the output PDF path to the FME Server temp directory and I've used a File copy writer to 'move' the PDF file again to FME Server temp directory. This works as a kind of hack to be able to stream the PDF. 

I am need to extract the date of the Saturday of an given week, based on a yyyy/wk formatted number.  For example, I have an attribute with "202102". I need to convert this to be "20210109"...January 9th, 2021. (January 1st and 2nd counts as the first week).

Hi All,I have a point feature service on AGOL which gets populated daily with new points, data and attachments.I'm trying to make a WHERE clause for an AGOL reader so FME only reads data from the last 3 days. According to ArcGIS dev page https://developers.arcgis.com/rest/services-reference/query-feature-service-layer-.htm , the WHERE clause should look like this EditDate > CURRENT_TIMESTAMP - INTERVAL '03' DAY  .However, FME gives me a fatal error.Simple queries like EditDate > '2020-03-05 00:00:00.000' work just fine.EditDate is esriFieldTypeDate and it comes into FME as '20200305235154.156000' P.S. the script will be published to FME Server (Cloud), so the solution should work for the Server too. Please help! 

Hi FME team, I have a workflow on FME Server scheduled every day @ 8am. The workflow reads a HTML Table which is updated every day @ 7am. I am using a simple HTML Table reader, where the URL is always the same, as is the 'Tables/Lists to read'.If I run the workspace with FME Desktop, it runs fine.If I then publish this workspace to FME Server and trigger it to run, it runs fine.However, if I set the workspace to run on a schedule, i.e the next day, the workspace fails and I get the following error message (I have removed the actual URL for sensitivity):185 HTML Table Reader: Could not open HTML file 'https://exampleURL/Example.php' for reading. '<class 'OSError'>': 'Invalid argument'. Notes: my organisation requires each URL called by FME Server to be 'whitelisted'. The URL in question has been whitelisted and I can access it via the browser from the server on which it runs.The previous data source was a CSV download link and this

A dynamic workflow from PostGIS to FileGDB Open API contains some boolean attributes. When writing the data, there are warnings stating that the objects containing boolean attributes are skipped. If I replace the attribute values true/false with 1/0, the objects are written. So, it seems to be that the mapping for the boolean attributes to FileGDB expects an integer instead of a text (the boolean type does not exist in FileGDB). So, I guess I have 3 questions:is there another way to keep the objects, because I would like to keep true/false?is there a way to automatically change the data type in the dynamic writer?should this be considered as a bug? 

I am having issues with a Directory Watcher UNC Path. I was able to get it running in our Test environment. However, in the Production environment, I keep getting this error in the Automation Log: 801013 : Could not retrieve file listing. I've checked the following during my troubleshooting: Confirmed domain account has 'log-on as service' rightsConfirmed domain account is running the FME Server servicesConfirmed domain account as full access to the UNC pathConfirmed that I can connect and add UNC path and was able to add it as a resource to FME server and that I see files showing up in FME Server UI. (Resources>Directory)I'm running FME Server 2020.0.1 (Build 20218 - win64). I am able to validate the directory when I configure the 'Directory Watch' trigger in the Automation.I am just trying to read a UNC path with simple .txt files. Hi, How I can test if unique values have different values in another field. Example: Field1 Field2AB1.... 1AB1.... 2AB3.... 3AB4 ....4AB5.... 5AB6.... 6AB7.... 7AB8.... 8So, AB1 has in field 2, values 1 and 2. So I want to filter that separately. Values can be changed, so I want generic solution. Can anyone help me with that? Thank you

Hi there, I have ran into trouble when I am trying to install a distributed Engine to a Core machine installed With Express Install. That kind of installation is proposed by Safe in this article https://community.safe.com/s/article/separate-engine-installation. Installation of the distributed Engine is described in the documentation: https://docs.safe.com/fme/html/FME_Server_Documentation/AdminGuide/Adding_FME_Engines_on_Separate_Machine.htm.  The core machine was Installed first, using Express installationThe FME Server System Share was shared (on the core machine). The user that will be running the engine service has been granted full control to the share The directory exists: Yes, the directory is accessible: Yes, the directory is empty: No.  The requirement that the directory should be empty confuses me. It was filled up during the installation of the core, so how could it be? How should I go around this? 

Hi everyone, I developed a simple workspace to read a list of filenames from a Google Drive folder. It works fine when it's run with FME Desktop. When it's run with FME Server it works fine as long as the OAuth2 token is valid, but when the token expires the Google Drive connector seems not to be able to refresh the token.I point out that FME Server is configured to use a proxy server. I suppose this issue could be related to the proxy, but I don't know how to debug it further. I'm using FME Server 2020.2.1 build 20806 - linux-x64. Any suggestion? Has anyone encountered anything similar?See the attached excerpt of the logfile. Thanks!

I've noticed that FME converts AutoCAD text into a point at the bottom left justification of the text even though my CAD drawing has the text justified middle center. Dear FME community,  I have a question regarding a road network:  I have a single road (top blue line) which is called "B 101". The road system has something like a positioning. Each road segment is divided into meters called "the stations", which are similar to a kilometrage on a highway, but the calculation of the stations restarts at every network point (the small red circles). They begin with the start position of 0 (attribute VST -> "FROM station"), and have different end positions (attribute BST -> "TO station") according to the length of the road. In the example the road goes from 0-1000, and therefore it is 1000m long in total. The station number increases with each full meter, the count direction is indicated by the ">" sign.  In my workspace, I'm splitting these roads into smaller road segments. The blue road is split for example into the red road part, the brown and the green road part. The red part is not needed

I have an A.dgn file. A.dgn file transfer. to B.tab file (mapinfo) by FME. Then convert the B.tab file to C.dgn. Refecen file A.dgn and C.dgn, the error is deviation (about 0.004 meter- 0.009meter) .Cause the error! and how to fix it! Thank all for hefp!

I have many CSV tables (35) that share a common "GEO_ID" but have different attributes otherwise. There are about 1,600 records in each and every table. I want to join them together by GEO_ID with a resulting output XLS file of 1,600 records and 100+ fields. I've tried FeatureJoiner with a Left Join to a "geography.csv", but always end up with 53,000+ records.  Also tried FeatureMerger with similar results.  What am I missing?

i have a point dataset showing the location of road furniture, and also a line dataset showing the geometry of a road. I need to create a line between the existing point and the road line, but cant get my head round where to start. Any suggestions welcome...

Hi all, I've been asked to do a pretty simple task, but it's giving me a bit of grief.In simple terms, if a date is <= 31/12/2000, then it should be "Pre-2000", and anything >= 01/01/2000 it should be "Post-2000". I've attached pictures to clarify, but this one is a real headscratcher Any help is appreciated

I have a lot of workspaces running off a lot of Oracle tables in a lot of different databases. When I run a workspace in which an attribute defined in a Reader doesn't exist in the source, I get this message in the log:2021-01-06 11:31:24|   1.4|  0.0|WARN  |Oracle Reader: Column 'COLUMN_2' specified on Feature Type but does not exist in table 'TEST' and will be ignoredWhen I run a workspace in which the table no longer exists, or I lost access to it, I get no message at all and the workspace just treats it as reading 0 rows from the source. Is there a way to configure FME so that these cases will cause the translation to fail? I know I can do post reading checks to make sure rows came through and each attribute isn't missing, but I have a whole lot of these so it would be nicer if there was just a switch I could flip somewhere.

I have a workspace (attached to question) that writes leaders to a dwg template. As far as I can tell the template has no errors, but the resulting dwg has 2 errors and must be recovered to be opened. Has any one else encountered a problem like this? I have attached the workspace with the behavior described.

I am trying to convert the ESRI  format data(feature class) to cad using FME(I have used Extended Entity Data option). When I open the cad output in FME inspector I can see the attributes but when I try to open in AutoCAD or Revit I cannot see attributes attached to the features. Just wanted to know how can I get to see attributes in cad file in AutoCAD

Hi there, I am trying to find a simple way to append an asset code to a list of facilities. I am running into trouble because there is no standardization of naming for these facilities leading to slightly different names (short forms, etc). I have a master list that I would like to use to compare and append the asset code to when given tabular data that 1) does not include the code and/or 2) does not match the master list naming convention. I can't wrap my head around which transformer to use and would appreciate the help!

I was wondering if anyone had any information on best practices for junctions and bookmarks use when building Custom Transformer? I have a pretty excessive custom transformer built that takes hours to complete. It is a looping transformer that utilize multiple blocking transformers (Group By), list, and many pipelines branching off junctions. I am trying currently taking steps to tune its performance. The log file had junction appearing over and over, leading me to suspect that eliminating them will reduce overall compute time. I am experimented with collapsed vs expanded bookmarks using cache feature, and yet to find differences--my logic was collapsing bookmarks reduce feature caching, therefore speed up compute. Thanks and cheers!! -Alex  

Hi.I've had a close look at the FME Server API.It seems that I can download a list of uploaded workspaces in a server repository, and get the timestamps of their upload.I can compare those timestamps to the file timestamps of my master repository on a file share, and determine which ones that need to be updated on the server.And there is a nice function to replace an item (PUT /repositories/< repository >/items/< item > ), but the notes say: Note: This endpoint is for internal use by FME Workbench and is not supported for external applications.Does this means that automating uploads to an FME Server is undocumented and impossible as-is ?Or is there another way (apart from hacking via a file access) ?Cheers.

Hi all.I'm importing some DWGs and DGNs, merging all features from all files, and adding fme_basename and fme_dataset to the input. This works fine, until output.The output writer featuretype lists the two attributes under "Format attributes" with a green arrow. The writer featuretype dropdown also lists them. And the User Attributes are set to "Automatic".But the writer fails to output the fme values to the database tables. Only the "autocad"/"igds" values are output.What am I missing here ? Shouldn't the fme attributes be included in the output ?Need I do anything else to make this happen ?Cheers
