Dear community,I have a table with two records for which I want to get only the record where _min in row 2 is less compared to _min in row 1 (or using _max). Hence, for the table below I want to get the second row and all attributes from that row. Any ideas? 

I see the file geodatabase writer has pre and post writer SQL options. So I assume I can do some deletion before inserting. Can I do "delete from table where attribute = 'attributeValue'"? Not sure what the syntax should be.

For example I am intrested in writing a custom dashboard to FME Cloud and would like to share a direct link to it with some users, without requiring them to log in to FME Cloud/Server etc. and dealing with the UI. Since there is a limit on download I need to add a search envelope on my WFS and WMS import. I got this working in 2 ways: using the search envelope in the parameters of the reader or the XML filter expression. It seems to me like I'm looking for a transformer very similar to the ExpressionEvaluator with 'Evaluation Mode' = 'Overwrite existing Attributes', only without the numeric evaluation (that doesn't seemingly 'wrap' the expression in a arithmic editer). I thought about posting an idea about this (e.g. create new transformer or add parameter 'evaluation mode' = (text|arithmetic) to ExpressionEvaluator), but just wanted to check if I'm maybe overlooking existing functionality. Attached is a workspace that illustrates the numeric evaluation possibilities in the ExpressionEvaluator, and an example of how I would like to have the option for a 'text evaluation' possibility to e.g. add '_concat_@CurrentAttribute' to each attribute in the selected group.  

When I use any SQL reader if I limit the attribute in the "User Attribute" tab with the option "Exposed Attributes": FME seems (regarding perf) to use a query like "Select Attrib1, Attrib2 from..." in place of a "Select * from ..." when I use Feature Reader It fetch all column even if I output to generic port and expose only some attribute. I have some Huge binary and text collumn that I dont need and I fetch thru a slow connection. Any Idea ?

Hi! I'm trying to define the encoding for my shp but directly on the dbf and not on the cpg. I choose UTF-8 on the parameters and I always have a .cpg file. I looked on the shp writer help and I saw this sentence :"The output Shapefile .dbf will contain the language driver ID for the selected or detected encoding, if no language driver ID is available for the encoding, a .cpg file may be generated instead." I don't understand what is a "language driver ID ". Can you explain ? Thanks!

Hi,I have been using FME 2020.1 for about 6 months now and suddenly today the Feature Count numbers disappeared while running a workbench (and after the workbench finished running). The Feature Counts appear if I run the workbench in Feature Cache mode, but not in normal mode. I'm not sure if I unknowingly changed a setting but I didn't think I did. I am using version FME(R) 2020.1.1.1 (20200817 - Build 20614 - WIN64).Has anyone else encountered this problem?

I am wanting to search a PostGIS database using a Contains or Like query to search strings for a partial match. My last attempt is proprietor_1 LIKE '@Value(Name)' I also tried CONTAINS(proprietor_1, '@Value(Name)') proprietor_1 is in my PostGISName is in my routine Any assistance with queries would be great.

Consider for example the case with a FeatureMerger or a FeatureJoiner. I have always been wondering how the groupBy is executed here. Is this on a single port (e.g. Requestor or Left) or across multiple ports. Especially in combination with the option 'Process when group changes'.  I made a small illustration workspace, with the merging application inspired on 'a hiccup' I came across today where I wanted to accumulate incoming attributes at a 2DGridAccumulator, but there is no default field/option for this (an idea on this was already created, see; https://community.safe.com/s/idea/0874Q000000TlLbQAK/detail).  To see differences in results, I changed the order of the features entering the supplier input port of the FeatureMerger, and for whether features should first route to the Requestor, or first to the Supplier port. I would like to rename a large dataset of many columns using a lookup file (csv or xlsx) - is this possible? I have explored the ..Mapper transformers, but am unable to get them to work in this way. The only method that appears possible at the moment is through the AttributeRenamer, but am finding this rather tedious entering one by one. The Import facility on this transformer only appears to name Input and Output Attributes with the same names when I use it.Happy to be corrected in my use of this transformer!The column name lookup I have structured in a spreadsheet as below;

I have been trying to report an issue related to a backup file which is bigger as the 5MB. Following https://community.safe.com/s/article/upload-a-file-to-the-safe-software-support-ftp I have tried to upload the respective file through the given `curl` command. But whatever I try, I keep getting "Failed FTP upload: 553". I tried both zipped and unzipped, where the zipped file is around 6GB. Is there anything I can do to overcome this and continue with problem report?

I have a workspace that I am running locally on my computer. This workspace is connected to an sde database on Amazon EC2 instance. This workpace is very simple translation just a reader and a writer, the purpose of the workspace is to completely delete all features from the sde database. However when I publish this workspace to FME Server the translations fail due to this error. 2020-10-18 05:39:39 | An error occurred while attempting to open the table,[...]. The error number from ArcObjects is: '-2147216057'. Hi All, I have a Child workbench which takes input as SDE FeatureClasses and Creates FGDB. i am passing all feature classes dynamically to the writer (all different types like points, polygons and polyline featureclasses). My SDE Feature Class has Long Attribute(Fields) Names and I required to create FGDB Feature Classes with Short Attribute(Fields) names. I have a web service which gives JSON output of Short Names. For each feature class, i need to connect to web service and get short names, create FGDB feature class with these short names. Could anyone have an idea how can I dynamically update FGDB feature class?

Hello,this was supposed to be an easy one, but I can't figure out how to detect overlapping polygons. Why is there no "Requestor Overlaps Supplier" in SpatialRelator according to this spatial predicates. How am I suppose to detect overlaps? 

Hello im relatively new to FME and I want to determine the resolution of raster images with the transformer "RasterPropertyExtractor", how can i set this transformer to supply the resolution dynamically? I have GIS point features that are on or along GIS line features. I need to get a count of how many point features are on any given line feature and attach that count as an attribute to the line. I also have separate inspection data as an access database that captures the equivalent of the point feature as a code. I need to get a count of the point codes associated with the given inspection to compare to the count of the GIS points and in turn determine if the inspection data needs to be reviewed.

Hi.I'm clearly a novice wrt. handling rasters in FME. I simply have trouble with understanding the fundamentals.E.g., I want to replace all white (1,1,1) cell values with a transparent cell (x,x,x,1).I looked at the RasterCellValueReplacer, but it doesn't handle colors the FME way, so it's a dead end.And the other raster transformers I've looked at all seemed off-mark to me.How do I accomplish this simple task ?Do I need to explode the raster into individual cells (and later reassemble) to do it ?Cheers.

I have a point feature containing different entries per point (multiple measurements on different heights), and i want to aggregate my attribute table in a way that only one entry per X,Y-point exist. The final entry should thereby only contain the maximum values of all measurements per points. I tried using the Aggregator tool, however, I was unable to keep the maximum values, since the only implemented functions seem to be average and sum. I think of using my own python script withih a PythonCaller, but it did not work either (I know it must work , but I am pretty new to both FME and Python and just did not succeed). Any help much appreciated!

In order to control the file system size I have setup a automatic System Cleanup that works on one of our custom shared resources. This was setup a couple of days ago, but it seems that this process was not run.  Is there a place where I can see the System Cleanup runs? Neither in the logs or jobs could I find any reference to this.Is there a setting at what time of the day this is run?What privileges are needed for the service to delete the files?What defines the filesystem user for, for example, the "fmeupload" files?I have used the following System Cleanup task definition, which should be run every day. However, in the folder structure I can see folders and files older than 1 month already. UpdateAfter restarting the FME Core, it now correctly logs the event of checking if it can delete the logs once every day. It however does not delete the logs. It looks like that all the files are owned by "root:root". Not something I would expect from a service ran by "f

I used S3Connector to upload a file to a S3 bucket which has versioning enabled. I uploaded three files to the same bucket, and I can see the three version IDs in the AWS console. Can I retrieve the version ID of the latest upload? Can I download the file of a specific version?

Hello,I have a problem of optimization. I have a very large set of points with arguments that I can't combine before sorting it. The points are divided themsleves with an argument, and I have around 100-500 points for each group. The problem being that I want to reduce that number to approximately fifty. The new coordinates for each of these fifty points is computed using the other 500, and an argument that each one has. So is there a way we can we replace all the vertex in a feature at once, with lists of points ?The lists would look like this going out of the Python Caller . This is for one coordinate only, the x.[929437.0060424805, 929441.2712402344, 929441.2976074219, 929441.3193969727, 929442.5599975586, 929444.1078491211]Any idea on how to proceed, or another approach possible ?Thanks
