Hi, I have created Excel xlsx files using FME (using a Template and adding values in, for various formulae to use the inputted values to calculate others), and it works really well! My issue is then when I read that xlsx file back through FME, the formula (IF statements mainly) don't pick up the inserted values! I have them formatted as Numbers in both Excel and FME, and the statement is similar to '=IF(AB8=0,"No Maps",AB8)', which works well when opening in Excel, but every value is 'No Maps' for the above cells when opening in FME! Very frustrating! I'm running FME Desktop 2020.2.4, 64 bit. Thanks!

Trying to read from SDE but I get the following error:Unable to read from the table/feature class 'schemaName.tableName'. If 'schemaName.tableName' contains a class extension, make sure it is registered on this computer.Yes, there is a featureclass extension and it is correctly installed on the same machine. Arcmap is showing the parcels ok. The sde backend is postgres and SDE 10.6.1    

Screenshots for how I filled out the parameters below. I have my organization's custom URL listed for host, my username, password, and security token listed. When I try to populate the table list, I get the error seen below. I know my 'API Enabled' setting in salesforce is true. I also get this error text occasionally: "Failed to obtain any schemas from reader 'SALESFORCE' from 1 datasets. This may be due to invalid datasets or format accessibility issues due to licensing, dependencies, or module loading. See logfile for more information" Is there some other setting or access problem I'm having on the salesforce side? I read through the documentation and there isn't anything glaringly wrong.

I am trying to connect to a salesforce account with the Salesforce reader. I keep getting an HTTP/FTP error "Could not connect to the server". I assume this is a proxy error where the reader is being blocked by my organization's firewall. To fix it, I would need to submit a Port Open Request to allow the traffic inside my organization. But I have no idea which port or URLs FME is trying to hit with the Salesforce reader. Is there a tool inside of fme that would allow me to see where FME is getting hung up? Or something outside of FME to look at that information?

Quiz! Difficulty: Hard. Make a recursive Clipper I want to clip 2000 partially overlapping areas with each other. And they are sorted and given a priority in the order they need to be clipped. Attached is an example workspace that uses text as a sample. Shown below are the result. The letter "F" is the first clipper, then "M", then "E" etc. Så every area/letter is behind the other one. The attached workspace shows the approach. How can I wrap the equal processes within the "New Bookmark" into a custom transformer that works recursively so I dont need to copy/paste these bookmarks x number of times. Good luck!  

I have an ArcGIS Portal OAuth web connection I created for myself and successfully uploaded to our FME Server. It's been working great. My assumption is, because it's OAuth, I can share the web connection with my colleagues who are being switched over to OAuth on ArcGIS Portal and also have workspaces on FME Server utilizing ArcGIS Portal feature services. As a test I exported my web connection, sent it to a colleague who imported it and then changed a workspace with Portal connections to use the OAuth web connection. He manually ran the workspace without issue. When he tried to upload the workspace to FME Server, however, he received a warning there was already a connection with the same name - the one I had already uploaded. Neither of the two options given worked. 1) He could upload the workspace without overwriting the OAuth web connection already on FME Server but then the workspace failed to write to ArcGIS Portal. (Only Portal Writers in his workspace, no Readers.) FME S

I have a workspace that copies a file from one location to another. Now I want to use the copied file as input to a reader. How do I do that? 

I'm trying to write to an ArcGIS Portal Feature Service but I don't see it in the list of available services when setting up the writer. I don't own the layer but it is shared with the entire organization allowing write capabilities to all. It doesn't belong to any groups. Strangely, I can see layers in groups to which I don't even belong. I am connecting using a web connection that uses OAuth. Am I missing something? Bug? I'm using FME Desktop 2020.1.2.1 (Build 20624 WIN64).

Hello, I have two geojson files, available [here] (until the 21/04/2021). Each one contains a MultiLineString feature, converted to IFMEMultiCurves with FME. I would like to be able to detect any overlapping segment, with some tolerance, no matter their directions, and set a property to any overlapping (or "close-enough") segment from one dataset with any segment from the other dataset.I have tried various transfomers, but I am not able to detect overlapping segments, nor to break my datasets into segments ... Any advice about how to do this ? Thanks in advance :)

Hi, I make many requests to a webservice using HTTPCaller, the trouble is that the credentials expire after 5 minutes.  I use one HTTPCaller to obtain a new API token and then I use another HTTPCaller to get the required data back. In that time the token is valid I can run at least 100 calls to the service. What transformers can I use to ensure that after every 100 calls I call the HTTPCaller to get a new API Token and then use that token in the other HTTPCaller to get the data. I was thinking loops and test filters but I can't get the logic this morning. Any help would be very appreciated.  Thanks

I have a list of features. Each has a number of columns with a date as name and as value a numeric value. I want to use the date columns as a new column's attribute value, and write the date column's value into another field, like this:  In this example I'd end up with 3 features. Furthest I've gotten so far was with the AttributeTransposer, however it returns every other field's value as missing and I can't get them back. Any ideas how to accomplish this?

Hey folks, As per the question itself, I'm really struggling with (what I assumed) would be a straightforward task. (Straightforward in that I cannabalised an older workbench which works just fine and simply switched up the HTTPCaller url and featurereader parameters and thought it would work.) The way (I assume) it works is that the HTTPCaller calls the zip file from an online repository, then the featurereader reads the contained shapefile and I can then go on to do other processing tasks. However, the workbench is failing at the featurereader stage. The logfile has an error message that says:Unable to open shape file `C:\\Users\\[USER]\\AppData\\Local\\Temp\\FME_TempFileStore_161769518366_3180\\dsR_1_161769518367_3180\\DBCALegislatedLandandWaters.zip_161769518367_3180\\DBCALegislatedLandandWaters.shp' for read. I have no idea what the issue is, I've purged temporary files, screwed around with the parameters of the feature reader but am unable to get beyond this point. Hi All, i've a dataset of points along a road network. What i'd like to do is either : Get the specific travel direction for each point using the angle from the previous point(NW, S, etc)or Get an overall direction for all points by merging the points of the same road(road_name) and getting the direction of the subsequent lineEach points id is incremented so i can tell the order, i'm just not sure how to go about it. For Option 2 i have tried a LineBuilder -> HorizontalAngleCalculator with some success but i'm seeing inconsistencies with lines that should be the same. Still the same when I tried using a sorter first to make sure the start and end points were arriving in order sorting by ID.

Using the GeometryPropertySetter to set Traits to IFC files needs to use an AttributeExposer to be able to select the right attributes to put on the trait. This does not work well on Dynamic Workspaces with 20-100 attributes. Is there a way to use the GeometryPropertySetter in a dynamic way? For instance submit a list of attribute names or some other "hack" to make this dynamic for "more IFC-files"?

Hello ! I have MultiCurve objects (GeoJson MultiLineString) that represent routes along roads, and which have some geometry issues : sometimes lines are overlapping, and some lines meet at a point but with opposite direction.Here is the overall dataset :And here is a problematic area :Exemple dataset is available [here].So my question is : is it possible get a cleaner file, with no overlapping lines or segments, and with a better global direction consistency ? And how to do so ?I tried to use Deaggregator, Intersector, Snapper, LineCombiner; and a few more, but so far I don't fully understand what I am doing, and don't get closer to what I want. Thanks in advance for any tip or help :)

Hi there, I have installed the pandas library into my workstation using the following command:fme.exe python -m pip install <package_name> --target <package_destination_folder> and got following message:Successfully installed numpy-1.18.1 pandas-0.25.3 python-dateutil-2.8.1 pytz-2019.3 six-1.14.0 However, when in python Caller I tried to import pandas using the following command:import pandasand ran the transformation, it throws an error message:Python Exception <ModuleNotFoundError>: No module named 'pandas' Could anyone help me in fixing the error?

Hello! Is it possible to extract coordinate pairs (lat/lon) that are within an actual shapefile boundary as opposed to using a bounding box of a shapefile? When I use the BoundsExtractor transformer I'm getting more points than warranted. Thanks.

Hello, We are trying to run a batch file/windows powershell to change the floating license for using a different server name for FME Desktop 2019 edition. The reason is the users do not have any administrative permission on the local C drive - thus they cannot change manually. We would like to do this with a script and also where/how is this licensing information stored on the computer? Thanks !

FME server documentation states:Note: Each IMAP Publisher created on FME Server must reference a unique email account. You cannot create multiple IMAP Publishers that reference the same address.However, I have done some testing with this and I have created more than one publisher with the same IMAP email. Bother publishers work. Am I missing something? Is there going to be a future error or fault? Where is the conflict with this? Thanks.
