I need help with ideas on how to extract areas where the width >=1.1m within a polygon. I have attached a file (file geodatabase) here for anyone who wants to give it a shot. It is a long and skinny polygon reflecting sidewalks with curb and gutter all connected together in reality.I have a solution working okay for a small number of such polygons. But it is not working efficiently enough for a large number of records. I have a total of more than 20,000 records to be processed.Please share your thoughts.Thanks!

When I have a @ symbol in a POST mutipart upload value  FME displays the below error when I run the work bench. This FME edition does not recognize the `' function. Please ensure that the current platform supports this function, the function name is spelled correctly, and that you have installed all required plug-ins I have used a string replacer tranformer and encoded with %40 as a workaround in the past, but with the form email validation on CKAN it does not accept the %40 encoding and expects an @ symbol. Does anyone have any idea how to upload values with an @ symbol in the httpcaller?

I'm trying to extract the Creation Date of an IFC file. It is usually located under IfcProject in viewers like Solibri, but I can't seem to find it.I want to read a folder containing a bunch of IFC files, and create a list of when the files were last created.

I am trying to do a translation of multiple pdf files (11 in this case), and I want them as jpg files, as simple pictures. My attemp was to import all the folder that contains the pdfs, and to pass them through a dynamic jpg writer, but I am getting an error from the jpg writer that says that "This format cannot support more than 3 bands". I dont know if I am configuring something wrong in the writer, please give me an advice. Thank you

I'm experiencing a strange behaviour with the File Geodatabase writer (GEODATABASE_FILE). Everything works when I write to the database from the cache but I get and error when I try to run the complete workspace from the start (with or without caching).I tried so many scenarios, but I always get an error while running everything from the scratch.Here are the few screenshots showing successful scenario and a writing error.Does somebody have similar experience and what might be a solution to this?I'm using FME 2020.2.3.0 (build 20820) and have localy installed ArcGIS Pro 2.8.1Screenshots:1) run to this (from the cache to the database; last step of the workflow)2) success; features are written to the database3) rerun entire workflow4) error running transaction 

Hi Everyone I have been trying to read pdfs and save to jpeg. The issue seems that I can only write 3 Bands to the Jpeg Writer(R,G,B). Once I remove the Alpha8 Channel, the background turns black. I have tried multiple ways of fixing it, but to no avail, I am stuck right now. I found this excellent Article on the forum, but I still seem to have the issue with the Colour Values, can someone please help out? Is there an elegant way of fixing this? I can succesfully export png, but can't crack this Jpeg Writer! Any help or advice will greatly appreciated. Fred  

Hi. I'm trying to read a pdf of a 2D CAD drawing. The file opens ok in Microsoft Edge browser but when I use the Adobe Geospatial PDF reader it is only reading a fraction of the elements in the file - a few text elements.  I've tried playing around with the reader parameters but cant figure out why its not reading the whole file. Any idea what i'm doing wrong?

I have a shapefile with a few thousand points. I would like to be able to remove points that are too close or overlapping on each other. Usually, the points should be at a minimum of 1 meter of each other. If I have points that are exactly at the same coordinates or within let's say 0.8 meter, I would like to keep only the point with the lowest value into the OBJECTID attribute. Any idea of which transformer I should use ? Thank you. Mathieu.

I have FME Server trigger event late at night and it will automatically email with the report right after the workspace has completed. Is there anyway to delay the email to send in early morning instead even though workspace still ran at night? Thank you!

Hi All, I am trying to identify the orientation of a line (clockwise/anticlockwise or left/right) so that I can use Orientator transformer if a line has been drawn anti-clockwise. In older post this seems to be achieved by using Azimuth Calculator on FME Hub; however, this does not seem to be currently available. Is there any transformer I can use or workaround to achieve this? Thanks,Ana

I have a list which has two elements {make, model}. I can receive multiple make, model in in this list. So, I can get values like:{make = Toyota, model =camry},{make = Toyota, model =Prius} and so on.I need to use these values create a sql in the format - select * from cars where (make=toyota and model = camry) or (make = toyota and model - Prius); How do I achieve this in FME? I dont know the no. of values that I will get in the list. Please advise, I am very new to FME

I have a table that has x and y coordinates. I am trying to write to an sde point feature class and it is failing. The error message is that 'line' features can't be put into a point feature class. Each record has one x and one y value. The log says there are 2 coordinates (which is why it's trying to make a line), but I have no idea why its seeing 2 x values for any record.  I exported as lines and got the correct number of lines of 0 length. They actually are in the right place in GIS. Light on details, but if anyone has hit this snag and recovered, I'd love to hear about it. There is NOTHING weird about this table. Sensitive data so I can't provide details. Actually, it is only some records - an identifiable set - the other records will create points. I see nothing different about the records that fme wants to turn into lines. Thank you,Randy McGregor

Hello all. I'm new to FME Server Automations and I'm wondering about the Filter Action "Contains String" syntax. I want to filter on the Job Status Output text from the previous workspace run, and I'm wondering if you can add more than one text string to search for. I've tried a few ways and can't seem to find documentation specifically on this. I have it working searching for one specific string which needs no formatting at all, simply entering "FME_BEGIN_PYTHON script returned error on execution" filters correctly. Any info or assistance would be appreciated!I'm working with FME Server 2019.1.3.1.Thanks!

Hi I want to combine a folder of geotiffs satellite imagery files together in a row into a single geotiff. I dont need the coordinate sys of the geotiff output, just the pixels and its value to be stitched together. Basically trying to do the same as this question https://stackoverflow.com/questions/30227466/combine-several-images-horizontally-with-pythonTried the solutions posted there but the python pillow library does not seem to read geotifsAnyone have an ideas on how to do this?Thanks

Hi list.This issue has been touched on several times, but I don't see a solution for me in any of the answers.I have to read a number of Excel spreadsheets, and being spreadsheets, they vary very much in both content and structure.I can read the spreadsheets with FeatureReader just fine, and I get both schema features with an attributes{} list of attributes, and generic data features with attributes in an unexposed state.How do I utilize the schema features to dynamically expose whatever attributes are present in the data ?Exposing attributes seems to be a design time issue only, and I haven't found any way to expose attributes dynamically.Alternatively, can a (MS/SQL) writer accept a list of name/value items, and output these to the database as fields with values ?I also need to merge several fme_feature_type's (i.e. multiple Excel sheets/tabs), so Dynamic Schema Definition won't work for me, I think.Cheers.

Hi, I have two published workspaces that I want to delete - changes made and name of workspace changed. Don't want to confuse anyone down the road that may be needing to update the server automations. I haven't found any place to remove published workspaces. Any pointers?
