Error message in web interface of FME Server

If I look at the web interface I receive errors. Error: Error communicating with FME Server. FME Server may not be running. Contact your FME Server administrator who can investigate the log files for further details.Connection refused: connect.Does anyone know what the source of these messages are?

After installation of FME server 2016 the list scheduled tasks is empty. How can I restore the cleanup tasks?

How do I move my licnense server?

I am moving my license server software to a new server with the same name as the old one. Do I need to deauthorize my license on the old server first? If so how do I do that? I don't see an option in the LMTOOLS UI.

User Developed Factory problem when running on FME Server

Scheduling Job on FME Server 2016

I created a workspace and tested it in FME Desktop.Then published it to FME Server and tested it again.Created a schedule to run the job this morning (and every day) at 07.00 (it is now 08.10).Next I edited the workspace, tested and republished it (no changes to parameters).Checked the schedule and it was still valid and enabled.But no jobs where executed at the scheduled time (no passes and no failures).My machine was locked and running (no shutdown).Any suggestions why my job has not run?

Parameterized where clause in database reader

I have a script in FME Server that gets called by a URL with parameters for the WHERE clause. The querystring on the URL looks like this:some_example.fmw?Year=2010&Neighbourhood;=Kensington-Cedar%20CottageThe WHERE clause in the database reader then looks like this:neighbourhood = '$(Neighbourhood)' AND year(event_date) = $(Year)Are these placeholders "parameterized" in the sense that an SQL injection would fail? If not, is there a way to do this?Thanks

Email notification when job fails

I'm new to notifications in FME server and I'm trying to create a service that notifies our helpdesk each time a Data Download job fails on our fme server.I've set up a subscription with the appropriate email settings and subscribed to the DATADOWNLOAD_ASYNC_JOB_FAILURE topic.I then start topic monitoring on the DATADOWNLOAD_ASYNC_JOB_FAILURE topic and when I test the topic, the email is received exactly as expected. The problem I have is that topic monitoring stops as soon as I navigate from the manage notifications page or if I refresh the page. Is this supposed to happen? I was assuming that once started, topic monitoring would continue until explicitly told to stop.Thanks in advance for you help(Using FME server 2015.1.1)

What happened to FME Server 2016 being available on January 29th? It would be nice to see a message on that page if there are issues. Typically you get told why something has been delayed.

Upgrade to 2016 - bug in user parameters?

I upgraded from v2015 to v2016 today, and I have noticed that a user parameter that is derived from another user parameter is not upgraded properly.In the attached Workspace, I am creating a SiteName parameter based on the input filename. And I also create a SiteNameGDB parameter for the output filename, based on the SiteName parameter. Unfortunately, when opening this workspace - which worked fine in v2015.0 - in v2016, it has replaced the expression $(SiteNameGDB) with the literal string "__SiteNameGDB_"Is this a bug?

Notifications on FME Server

I was just curious if anyone might be able to shed some light on an issue that has now popped up after switching everything to smtp.(company name).com yesterday under Manage --> Notifications --> Subscriptions.We get daily updates from jobs that run overnight, and we were still getting them from smtp.(company name).local. But since changing all of the values yesterday to smtp.(company name).com, we got no messages or updates from FME Server last night. Can anyone shed light on why this might be happening? Can you look at the attachment containing the before and the after settings (SMTP Server is all that was changed) and let me know if we need to change anything else about them to allow the messages from FME Server to come through? Thanks in advance for any help you can provide.Tony

My FME floating licence is installed on Windows2008 R2 Standard server. IT would like to upgrade the server to Windows2008 R2 Enterprise version. Would FME licence still works after changing the server to Enterprise version?

Hi,I would like to know if it is possible to change the default Temporary location in FME Server.The documentation does mention how to add a new shared resource location, but couldn't find any info on changing the default location (C:\\Windows\\Temp\\fmeengines) Thanks in advance,Itay

ResourceManager: Optimizing Memory Usage. Please wait...

Good afternoon. I am running a series of workbenched (FME 2014) and these workbenches typically take 20 minutes to run. They have been running fine until a recent oracle patch and it is now causing my workbenches to hang continually until I cancel them through the FME Server UI. The error is: ResourceManager: Optimizing Memory Usage. Please wait...I would appreciate any ideas, although I have tried the following:Purge logsRestarted FME serverCheck all DB accounts being used

FME Server 2013: Workbench name in e-mail notification

Hello  Before we got the FME server we used a Pyhton script in our FME workbenches to send email notifications to our customers. We sent information like: workbench name, input parameters, error logs, … FME Server has the built in email Notification. By modifying the Email template I was able to send the Job ID, number of written features, time started & time finished, … but wasn't able to send the workbench name. This would be the most important information. Is there a possibility to send the workbench name with the email notification tool?   Thanks for any advice. felix

Is it possible to export the FME Server schedule? I have looked through multiple FME Server folders, but have not found a file with the schedule. Adding such a feature could be beneficial. Thanks.

Directory watch file types

Is there a way to control which file types directory watch processes? I have a process set up to run xml files triggered through directory watch. Folders containing jpgs are also copied to this directory (I have no control over this). These folders trigger the process then fail. Is there some way to tell directory watch to only process xmls?

Hi,We are using FME Server 2015. It's installed since a couple of days.TOday, we noticed that some of our datadownload services are sending empty emails (async). Others are sending the emails as configured.Any idea of why we meet that behaviour?Regards.Vincent.
