I have a desktop workbench that is using FMEServerNotifier to have server send emails as the last translation step. Aside from writing a shutdown script to POST the request to server, is there a way I can call FMEServerNotifier on translation failure?Maybe a Shutdown Notifier option is on the cards??nb. I'm using desktop as I need the 32 bit versionnnb. I can't get the desktop authorised to use the smtp server

I am licensed for only one engine but a second engine is created automatically when I use FMEJobSubmitter. Is this normal? Does this count as using two licenses? If I run this job on a server that already has two engines will both licenses be in use? Thanks

Hi all,We would like to deploy FME Server and be able to read/write File Geodatabase and ArcSDE (ArcGIS Desktop 10.4) and Oracle spatial/non-spatial (Oracle 11). I can receive emails at FME Server and trigger a specific workspace if I attach only one of each file type (DWG and PDF) in the same order (DWG before PDF) so that I can specify the published parameter for my SourceDataset_ACAD (which requires a single value) to be the email_publisher_attachment{0} and the published parameter for my SourceDataset_PATH to email_publisher_attachment{1}.However, I would like to be able to receive an email with any number of attachments, in any order, and filter and apply them correctly to their respective published parameters (potentially more than one DWG, but I would not know how many in advance and/or what order they were received to apply the correct list values). Any ideas or examples of similar implementations would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance.

I'm setting up a dev server and wanted to import a certificate. I followed the steps but when i import keytool -import -alias tomcat -keystore tomcat.keystore -file <name> I get an error "signed fields invalid". Also, because the IT Contracting agency manages the certificates they applied it to the server i needed to export the PFX file to use in the keytool script. Any thoughts???

I have set DATADOWNLOAD_ASYNC_JOB_SUCCESS email notification thus an user get to know about the successfull data downloading information. I want to execute a workspace in FME Server by an email that is Bcc'd to FME Server. However, I am worried that a Reply All from both internally or externally may trigger the workspace to be executed again. Any thoughts or suggestions on best practices to prevent this from occurring? Hi,The "Data Inspector" does not starting automatically anymore then "Connect Inspector" in FME Workbench ver FME(R) 2018.0.1.1 (20180615 - Build 18312 - WIN64).I have tried to uninstall and then install again... It is working if I click on "Enable Feature Caching" and then click on the "Click to inspect cached features". Then the Data inspector launches and is viewing the features. FME ver 2017 worked fine on my computer...And the inspector is not disabled and the job ended with "Translation was SUCCESSFUL".Best regards,Jonas

How many instances of the EMF can be run at the same time? I'm using Windows 2012 R2, and every time I open another instance of FME, it opens one that is already running. I can never open another instance. I'm using a temporary license on another machine, is it because of this?

I'm attempting to send an email at the end of a translation to notify the respective folks that the process has run.I'm getting an error:Emailer: <class 'socket.error'>: [Errno 10061] No connection could be made because the target machine actively refused it.I've gotten the ip address and the port number with no encryption from the server guys. The machine that I am using for the script has been whitelisted with our SMTP server as well.This is to be used on a few different scripts, so really need to get this working. I have filled in the to, from, subject, and body of the 'email'. Using Generic SMTP as well. Granted, I am sending to myself, but will be in the long run anyway.Thanks.

Trying to set "WeekOfMonth" attribute for ALL features based on attribute "feature[-1]._4weekly_cycle" value, which today is "2". I am using the adjacent feature attributes capability in "AttributeCreator" transformer. Getting "Bad variant index in get" error in log file. If I set default value to "2", it works. Something not write with handling "feature[-1]._4weekly_cycle" value.

Hi there,We updated our FME Server to 2017 version a couple of months ago.I used to have a Master Workspace that control other process. In that Workspace, I set to run 6 others. I start runing 5 in parallel at the same time (5 different workspaces) and after it I put a FMEServerJobwaiter. So when all the 5 processes finish it start the 6, the last where I use the data created in the other 5.Now in 2017, it does not work anymore, the FMEServer only process one of the first 5, then when it get done it start another one (If I put parallel and set YES to wait) or put all of them to run at the same time if I put NO wait, but it also start the number 6 and it depends of the data of the first 5, so because of this I put a FMEServerjobwaitter before the 6 jobsubmitter because I just want that it start after the end of the other 5, but I want that the first 5 starts and run at the same time.Is it possible to achieve this?

I have set up a directory watch with fme-server ( something likehttps://knowledge.safe.com/articles/51817/directory-watch-publisher-tutorial-2017.html)Some data can not be processed by fme-server so I set up a time to cancel of 30 minutes.After this time the main workspace (convert.fmw) gets canceled but the subworkspace which normally gets calles by concert.fmw through a FMEServerJobSubmitter does not get canceled so these jobs fill up the job queue as "zombie"-jobs. Is there a way I can get rid of these zombie-jobs in the queue?

I am have been trying to stand up a FME Server Docker environment to migrate our current FME Servers setup too. I am using the 2018.1.0-20180801 image builds that include a Nginx container to handle SSL. I have also converted the provider docker compose yaml file to a Hashicorp Terraform configuration (as we use this technology for provisioning/orchestration). We have also made a few modifications to the FME Engine container so that a persistent Kerberos ticket is created on the container for authentication to our MS SQL Server databases. This issue I am seeing with both our modify FME Engine image and the default FME Engine image is that any active engine running on one of the FME Engine containers will eventually shut down. The FME Engine container will still be registered as an engine host with the FME Core but no active engines will be running on the FME Engine container (even though 1+ are requested). I have a job I have created in FME Desktop 2017.1 which processes a file, and I use a filecopy transformation to move the file to an archive folder once it has been processed.The job uses two parameters, one for the working folder and one for the archive folder. I have published the job to an FME Server (version 2017). When I run the job manually from the Server from the "Run Workspace" page the job runs correctly. However, when I schedule the job to run automatically it fails at the filecopy transformation, it is treating the file differently. 'HTTP / 1.1 403 Forbidden' from Error For a few months I have been able to work with two workbenches that retrieve data from within the network and outside the network. but suddenly I encountered the following problem for both my workbenches in FME server 2018. Hi all,I encounter an issue with topic on FME Server:I have one workspace (the controller) that triggers another (the worker) via a jobsubmitter.The worker posts on the topic "reporter_database" in case of success. It sends some json code.Case 1: When I run the worker via the controller, the topic is not "activated".Case 2: If I launch the worker directly via the web browser interface, it runs correctly and activates the topic.I remarked there was a difference between the two approaches (see picture). On the rigth (case2), there are some FME Directives and Notification Manager Directives while there is nothing on case1...Does someone have an idea how I can solve the case 1?Thank you !Laurent

We have 2 floating licenses FME desktop in use. During the night we run workbenches on two servers. Normaly no problem but now we get licensing errors. Is it possible to show a logging file of the license usage during a certain period?
