You can now find a brief document on the partner portal under the 'Sales' page about processing FME Cloud orders via Salesforce. This document includes some brief scenarios about processing orders when it comes to FME Cloud via Salesforce. Please read through this and get in touch with your Channel Account Manager if you have further questions. Please note that this is an additional option for processing FME Cloud. Processing via credit card sales through the FME Cloud interface remains the same.
I performed an upgrade of FME Server from 2018.1 to 2019, Windows 64 bit Server Express installation. Post install, I can get to the FME Server GUI but cannot log in to it. Have tried: logging in with AD credentials, admin/admin account, or SA account.Uninstall and reinstalling FME Server 2019Hitting different URL addresseshttp://servername/fmeserverhttp://servername:80/fmeserverhttp://ipaddress/fmeserverhttp://serveralias/fmeserverPlease help!
admin/admin tried other browsers.I've tried this: https://knowledge.safe.com/articles/79069/after-an-fme-server-upgrade-i-cannot-log-in.htmlBut I don't have that directory. I haven't run the postinstall.bat because I can't find it. Though I did find an icon image for it but no way to run it.
We have a small app that sends jobs to FME Server 2018, it worked in FME server 2016, but now that we upgraded to 2018, we are getting a failure when it tries to use the upload service, basically the app says FME failed to provide a cookie. When I look at the Data Upload Service documentation, under Reponses Elements, I see this, which is what I guess the cookie is about.A session identifier that is always included in each data upload response as an HTTP cookie as well as in the body of the response. looking at the Service logs in FME Server 2018, I see this: This is the Data Upload log for your runue-09-Apr-2019 10:36:34.982 AM INFORM http-nio-80-exec-3 419011 : Creating new request object: path level = "1", requested path = "/NRM_AQS_TD_Export_Survey.xml", session ID = "user_public", uploaded files = [], workspace path = "/NRM Workbench/NRM_AQS_TD_Export_Survey.fmw", retrieve absolute paths = "false", extract files = "false&quo
I'm receiving emails via imap on FME server, I've set up a location to save the messages through the publisher, my problem is, it's using the subject line to create the folder name. These particular subject lines are extremely long and have some characters in them, such as : ° etc. So its creating the folders, but when i try to open the attachments, excel is limited to a 214 character file path, plus the unusual characters has been causing issues as well.I've tried to use a filecopy writer to move the file to a new simpler folder, but it's failing on that i think due to the file path. Is there a way to change how these attachments are being saved? I'd like to use something else other than subject line to create the folder.
Hi, I have an issue running a job on FME Server 2018.1.1.1 (Build 18578). I'm new to the forum and to FME so please excuse the question if its a silly request! and also excuse me if I've posted to the incorrect forum etc... total newbie...I created the workspace and published to server - all published fine but when I try to run the job it fails - below is a snippet of the log Python version 2.7 loaded successfully In a future release, FME will have reduced support for Python 2.7. Hello all, Is there a max workbench file size that can be published to FME Server? It seems 100 MB is the golden number, but wondering if anything larger can be published? I was testing a size of 200MB and it would not publish. Thanks!David
Hi I am trying to install FME Desktop 2019 onto an off network laptop Windows 10. Attached is the error I get during installation. I tried installing an older version of Desktop 2018 and this also gave me the same error. Then it rolls back and undoes the install.
Hello,i am attempting to roll out a silent install of FME 2018. The documentation is very good so i usemsiexec /i fme-desktop-2018.1.2-b18590-win-x64.msi /qb INSTALLLEVEL=3 INSTALLDIR="%programfiles%\\FME" ENABLE_POST_INSTALL_TASKS=noto run the installation.Unfortunately i get a message/ interrupt with a file in use error (i use /qr instead /qb to view the error). Is there an other switch to prevent this message? Best regards, Martin
Sometimes FME Server (2013 SP3) loses connection to the License-server. Is it possible to get an e-mail when there is currently "No active engine" on an FME Server installation? This should be possible as now we have to manually check now and then to see if FMEServer is "up and running"!
Hi, I am working in a production environment with FME Desktop and server of 2016 build 16717. And I have a problem receiving the Topic message on the production server. If I use a parameterFetcher I try to dereference the FME_TOPIC_MESSAGE, I get an error: undefined macro "FME_TOPIC_MESSAGE" dereferenced in file. When I do the same on my test machine everything works. I if I log every parameter on the Server I see no FME_TOPIC* parameters in my log. I have created a directory watch pubisher which publishes topic to this "example_topic", and a subscription workspace to run when this topic is triggered. When I test the topic either by placing a file on the watched directory, or "TOPICS/test topic" the workspace fires, but it does not receive a FME_TOPIC_MESSAGE. Anyone who knows what I'm doing wrong?
We have an FME Server setup that uploads and downloads data to/from S3 buckets, and this week all of a sudden I had several workspaces fail. One of them downloads datasets from a bucket onto the server as local resources for other jobs, the other one is a backup to a different bucket. The log says S3 access was denied, and the only thing that has changed is that we enabled MFA on our AWS user accounts this week. I've read a little about MFA and API access to S3, but the examples all include inputting the MFA code into the request. Is there a way FME can handle MFA and still get automated access to S3 buckets without needing to input an MFA code somewhere? How can we still get access to our S3 buckets through Server workspaces? Here is the error line from the log file:Attribute(encoded: UTF-8) : `_s3_error' has value `Access Denied (Service: Amazon S3; Status Code: 403; Error Code: AccessDenied; Request ID: 4A0AAECC919B8F68)' Using FME Server 2018.1.1.2 - Build 18586 -
After installing FME Server 2018.1.2 ( Build 18590 - win 64 ), I'm getting the following erro message wehn trying toreach the Webgui from the server ( http://localhost/fmeserver ). Where can I found a log to solve that issue ?
I have notifications set up. When a user gets a notification email it has a url link to view/download the job log. The user is presented with a login screen. They login, but the download results for the log are empty. What permissions are needed to actually download the log file?
Hello All .. I am using FMEServerNotifier in my workbench to send Email, when i run the workbench i get the message correctly , but when i publish the workbench to fme server i get an error and i couldn't receive the message .FMEServerNotifier_<Rejected>(TeeFactory): FMEServerNotifier_<Rejected>: Termination Message: 'FMEServerNotifier output a <Rejected> feature. Hi everyone,I use FME daily in many crucial processes I have developed here and I am running into quite an issue.I have done some research here but don't think I found anything exactly the same as what I have so I will explain. I have just been moved to a new Win10 64bit Machine. I do a lot of processes to and from Smallworld and different types of ESRI environments as well as a lot of Database reading and writing.I find any process I am writing or using that has been written in the past that involves reading or writing from an Access Database is crashing especially on the writing to the database aspect. I get the following as it crashes:Microsoft Access Writer: Unable to find provider 'Microsoft.ACE.OLEDB.12.0', falling back to 'Microsoft.Jet.OLEDB.4.0'. Microsoft Access 2013 Runtime might be missing from your system; follow this link for more information: http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=39358Microsoft Access Writer: Connection failed. You may recall that FME Server 2016+ has integrated a “Failover” mode. As a result, Safe Software has discontinued issuing the previous independent Failover license files in 2016+. We still frequently receive failover license file requests from both clients and partners. Please be advised that anyone requesting an FME Server failover license via the new server licensing will receive a message stating, “Note: Failover license use is no longer supported with this version of FME Server. For up-to-date details, please contact your account manager, local partner or ." They will automatically receive a 60-day temporary license. This notification was scheduled to appear Monday, February 11. Please note that this is only for FME Server 2016+ requests. Floating license server and desktop requests will continue to work without issue. If you have any questions, reach out to your Channel Account Manager or .
Hello, We have a server on which we have 4 engines installed. FME Version is 2016. In our setup on FME Server we have main workspace which is responsible for some preprocessing and then it submits child workspace using ServerJobSubmitter. In some cases this child workspace also has ServerJobSubmitter because it processes huge data set and if we didn't split it into several runs then we woud get out of memory exception or have other problems. It looks quite nice but in some cases (probably when few jobs are executed also on other engines) in that child workspace we have an error:FME license system failure: The maximum number of concurrent FME instances specified in the license has been reached (-508) What can be the reasson for that? ServerJobSubmitter is set to wait for jobs to complete
I have uploaded my python dependencies (various .py modules) to FME Resources as is described here. Resources are uploaded and updated using the rest api.My FMW's can then see the resources and use them. When I update or replace an existing module however the engines continue to use an older version of the module. Rebooting FME server resolves the problem but is obviously not a great solution.Any suggestions on how to get the engines to see the newly uploaded resources? Clear cached versions of python code? Ideally this would take place when the resources are updated.ThanksKevinFME Server Version: 2017.1 Build 17539 - Win64
Thanks everyone in advance about helping me sort this out. I have a topic set up on FME server and have an outside system posting a simple JSON to it. I then have a subscription that is subscribed to that topic with a workspace associated to it. I can see that it is receiving the JSON in: Resources>System>Temp>SubscriptionsWhen I published this workspace to the server, I subscribed it to the topic and set: Parameter to Get Topic Message: "Source JSON (JavaScript Object Notation) File or URL. I used the JSON downloaded from the temp folder to create the workspace. At this point I can see the job starting each time the JSON is posted to the topic, but it is not getting the data to the writer. Am I missing a parameter that needs to push the JSON from the topic to the reader correctly?
I have several excel sheets that have same/similar structures, although some are missing their header names. I can migrate them to SQL Server one-by-one using FME. But I want to loop over the contents of my folder (i.e the excel files) and migrate them all in one go. How do I loop over them? I want to use the same header names for the files missing them as the ones that have them - the header names.
Hello everybody, please, Im trying to solve problem with FME license server. As I checked, there is possibility to restrict one floating license for specific usergroup (check there https://docs.safe.com/fme/html/FME_Desktop_Documentation/FME_Desktop_Admin_Guide/FMEInstallation/Restricting_Licenses_to_Users_or_Groups.htm). But, and its my question, is there any possibility to set exact usage time for specific usergroup?E.g. Just imagine FME License server with 2 floating licenses. I just wanna to restrict one license for usergroup called "GIS" only for daytime from 6PM till 6AM. From 6AM till 6PM, both licenses should be available for all users (doesnt matter of what usergroup). Is there any tool how to set it up please? Thank You so much for all ideas!Lubo
I have a FME Server (2018.1.01) set up with two local engines and one remote engine. This remote engine periodically shuts down and requires restarting. I haven't found a pattern of anything causing it to shut down. Is this a known issue? I also cannot manage the number of engines for this host, it isn't listed as a host on the engines page in the web interface.
We are getting this |ERROR |ArcGIS Online Feature Service Writer: Encountered an unexpected error. The error code from the server was '504' and the message was: 'Your request has timed out.The scheduled benches run most of the time, but occasionally they fail with this error. We have tried reducing the number of items sent from 1000 to 200, but still get this error when truncating and updating data to AGOL sometimes... The size of the data being updated remains the same and the update works most of the time.
Hello, So I have an issue. I'm trying to run a workspace at work but there ar no standard arcgis licences avialable. So fme tries to use the arcpro licence. It gives this error: Unable to load a library in the folder: C:\\Program Files\\ArcGIS\\Pro\\bin. The error number returned from GetLastError is: 127Arcpro is set to work offline and there are plenty licences available. Anyone has an idea of what might be the issue. Also, arcgis 10.6.1 is installed with the right version of background geoprocessing and the version of arcpro is 2.3.0. Thanks,Simon
