FME Flow

Hi!Having a hard time getting FME Desktop to play along with my Fedora 28 Installation. Used to be ok with FME 2017 and Fedora 27 but after upgrading, FME 2017 Workbench seems to install OK but won't start. FME 2018 won't even install with the following:/var/tmp/rpm-tmp.0TKvDW: line 8: pip3: command not founderror: %prein(fme-desktop-2018-2018.0.1.1-18312.el7.centos.x86_64) scriptlet failed, exit status 127Error in PREIN scriptlet in rpm package fme-desktop-2018Error in PREIN scriptlet in rpm package fme-desktop-2018 Some weird python package manager issue perhaps??Also when I remove the faulty 2017 install of FME it ruins my QGIS 3 installation in the process. I'm fully aware of the fact that officially FME is only supported on Ubuntu LTS, but it should definetly also be working on Fedora IMHO. Any feedback appreciated.Regards,Stian

I am loading a large workbench to my FME server, both version 2018, and I receive the following error message: Publish failed - FME Server encountered an error and reported the following message.Could not read FME Server response message. Connection may have been lost.An existing connection was forcibly closed by the remote hostRequest to http://stpfme/fmerest/v3/repositories/Socrata/items returned status code 503. Has anyone encountered this issue?

Hi Guys,I have tested the workspace in workbench and published it into the server. When running the job manually from the fme server, it works. However when I call it from informatica http transformer, it does not work. Under job history in fme server, it can be seen that the job is being triggered from informatica but the end result is not there.I am trying to update a column in the database.Thank you.

Hi,I made a successful HTTP call (POST) and saved cookies.And also I was able to make GET HTTP call 1 using the above cookies in the Header fields.I also need to make another subsequent HTTP call 2 with already saved cookies earlier. A team mate published a workbench to server. I need to make a change to it, but when I went to download the fmw from server, it downloads a json file instead. I can log into the hosting server and copy the file from the repository, but can't figure out how to get the workbench to download from the server web page.

Hi!recently a FMEServer managed by us stopped working after an automatic security check. The service was not able to start anymore, and I got the windows-error-popup with the message: "Windows could not start the FME Server Core service on HOST. Error 2: The system cannot find the file specified."The problem was the registry-key for starting the services: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/SYSTEM/CurrentControlSet/services/FME Server Core where the value with the image path was notin quotes: C:\Program Files (x86)\fmeserver\Server\WindowsService\FMEProcessMonitorCore.exe -s FME Server Core As unquoted service paths can be a risk in Windows, the radarservice automatically set the path in quotes, as there were blanks in theinstallation path (...\Program Files (x86)\...). But it set the whole expression in quotes, including the "-s". "C:\Program Files (x86)\fmeserver\Server\WindowsService\FMEProcessMonitorCore.exe –s" So because of that, the service could not be started as it was looking fort hefile "C:\

I have a workspace deployed on FME Server that takes a number of .jpg images and places a point, using image EXIF info, and creates an attribute with a link to the image. The destination file types are a shapefile and a KML. To create the link to the image I am pulling the filepath from the "fme_dataset" attribute. The issue is when I run this process on FME Server, using the Temporary Uploads/Upload File option, it reads the filepath from the temporary directory on the server where the image was uploaded to rather than the original image location.Does anyone have thoughts on how I can adjust the workbench or FME Server settings to retain the original filepath?Many Thanks, Dan 

If I wanted to know how the technical specifications for previous versions of FME (Desktop and Server), where can I find that information?

Is there a way to make FME Server move emails to a certain folder or even delete them once they have been read by the IMAP publisher?There is no such option in the publisher settings. Is there maybe a trick to do the same using a custom transformer?

I'm trying to install the 2018 version of FME on windows 10, but when I run it for the first time, it informs an error and says that it is searching for a solution and then closes itself.I have already cleaned up the HKEY_LOCAL records on Safe Software .... I reinstalled several times. I'm already an administrator of the machine. Can somebody help me?

Hi,I have setup a really nice example of the data delivery on FME server using this example code - https://knowledge.safe.com/articles/1117/data-distribution-with-web-maps.html. Ihave also made the guest account token the init for the FME javascript.I have setup a simple form to authenticate in the example the user using the token service however struggling to replace the init token with the users token when the FMEServer.runDataDownload method runs.Any attempt to overwrite the variable token resorts to running the job under the guest account.Any suggestions?Thanks

I am trying to view the list of completed JOBs in FME Server (Manage> Jobs> Completed) and the page displays the following error: Error: org.dom4j.DocumentException: Error on line 3 of document : Character reference "" is an invalid XML character. Nested exception: Character reference "" is an invalid XML character.  This error does not occur in the list of running or queued JOBs. I get the impression that there is some error in the file that lists the LOGs already finalized. Is this correct? What file is this?

Does anyone have the password for workbench "FlexNetAnalyser.fmx?"

I have a repository inside of FME Server for a handful of users to access and run a couple of workbenches as needed. Is there a way to require them to input an email address prior to running the workbench so that they'll be notified of results when the workbench completes?  I can include an emailer transformer inside of the workbench and make their email address a required input, but I would prefer to utilize the FME Server notifications is possible

Hello,I'm looking to install FME Desktop on a Linux Deepin, but I'm having problems with broken dependencies and especially the libqt5core library . Are there other users who have been confronted with broken dependency errors? If so, how did you proceed?

I have a workspace with a custom transformer that contains GeometryValidator transformer. The transformer should check fme_geometry for basic geometry checks. The workspace works fine in FME Desktop when is run locally. When the workspace is loaded onto FME Server I get the above error message in the logger. Before hitting that transformer the native coordinates of the feature are converted from WKT (the format which enters the workspace) before that transformer (the GeometryValidator) I have also other checks that prevent the process to proceed if the WKT is empty or the area is smaller than a certain threshold, for some reasons when I test it with smaller areas or empty strings the transformer is called and produces the above error. Also, I tried to disable the GeometryValidator transformer but I still get that error, when the data does not even pass by that transformer. If I remove the transformer from the workspace and I upload it to server then everything works fine but I would ne

What happens when FME Server or the Service is offline for 4 hours. I assume the Directory Watcher on FME Server will be missing all file changes that happened in those 4 hours?

I didn't use to have any issues with this, but after switching to a new PC and upgrading to Win10 I'm having problems with the FME licence failing due to CRC-check errors. For some reason, my PC now has a different registration key (2-014-702-034) than it had a month ago (2-992-327-444) when I got my last license file. There are no hardware changes to the PC (a HP Zbook with docking station). So what is it that can affect my reg. key this way?

I have developed a workspace that makes a HTTP call then returns the parsed JSON response. It runs from FME desktop successfully, but when published to FME Server as a streaming service I get the following errors:Creator_CREATED Brancher -1 4(BranchingFactory): MAXIMUM_COUNT clause must specify an integer. Value 'None' is invalidMAXIMUM_COUNT clause must specify an integer. Value 'None' is invalidFrom the logs it's failing just initializing the workbook and before trying to connect and make the HTTP call. I was unable to find a similar error anywhere else.

Hi,I have just installed an FME Server 2018.0.0.2 and I had problems to detect the engines. I did some researchs and I suspect that the queue hostname is the responsible. During the installation, I set it to "mypcname".I saw in https://docs.safe.com/fme/2018.0/html/FME_Server_Documentation/Content/AdminGuide/Install-the-FME-Servers-Failover.htmthat we should mention "localhost".Is there a way to change this parameter after installing? Good morning, When creating the publication, I select the smtp protocol and type in my email username. Then validate. for some reason, this is not working on my server. It confirmed the DNS. Any thoughts? It keeps telling me that it cant find the publisher. @LauraAtSafe , @RyanAtSafe.
