How to configure HTTPS and add CA issued SSL certificate to docker containers of FME Server 2018?Is there a better option than configuring manually and adding persistent volumes for changed folders?

FME Server 2016 and earlier have a setting for SECURITY_SUPERUSER_ROLE. The superuser has some permissions that you cannot give to other users, such as doing a backup / restore. Does FME Server 2017 have this concept? I don't see SECURITY_SUPERUSER_ROLE in the config files.It looks like the admin user is the default superuser, is that correct? If so, is it possible to grant other users the superuser powers? I would like to assign the superuser to an Active Directory group but can't figure out how to do that, even when logged in as the admin superuser.

I have a problem with FME Server 2018 with version 2018.1 - Build 18520 - win32I installed fme server on windows 10 32-bit and I got the license but engines are not available.I have tried many times to remove fme server and re-installing again but the same problem.When I opened web interface I got those error messages as attached.

This is a problem for us in our enterprise environment since we do not have authority to save files to C: drive (we use our own allocated space on E: drive). Is there way we can get all those files to install under our selected drive (E:) instead of C:?

Hello,For a distributed installation of FME Server, what are the database requirements? I imagine it will vary a bit based on number of jobs, engines, and such, but is there a rough guideline for the volume of data the server will need to store?

I am attempting to configure an email subscriber. I have been following the tutorial concerning this. I have used the snippet of JSON in the tutorial to successfully send/receive email. I can remove the foo@bar.com address from the "email_to" parameter and it successfully uses the setting in the subscriber for the "To:" parameter from the foo@baz.com address. So, email is crossing the SMTP Server (Relay) I've configured in the subscriber. I can even place a personal gmail address as the "From:" and it successfully sends the email. However, when I try to configure the "From:" using an existing email address on our domain.....no dice.Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance.

When we first ran across the push subscriber it seems this could really help out across many different types of workflows and also an agnostic interface with many of our major business systems. Many rest based API's contain keys within the URI so in our case we would like a dynamic target URL based on content with the topic. Is it possible to pull elements out of the topic and represent them as variables in the configuration of the push subscription?I have looked around and cannot find any documentation on how to use variables from the topic within the rest target URL?Below is a simple example:topic = { "activity": "180340", "attachment": "\\\\\\\\server\\\\share\\\\180340.pdf","emailReceived": "Fri May 25 13:37:12 PDT 2018"}In the target url we would like to use the activity number & attachment. I have experienced that setting (windows) system variables HTTP_PROXY and HTTPS_PROXY overrides the proxy settings in (some parts of) FME Workbench / Server. For example the HTTPCaller seems to use the proxy settings from the HTTP_PROXY and HTTPS_PROXY system variables, even if the options in FME Workbench are different. The same is described in the GML Reader's documentation. In this documentation is stated that the GML reader follows up on the http_proxy environment variable.When I do set these variables then the HTTPCaller transformer (and the FMEServerJobSubmitter) is not able to reach local adresses anymore (it will try to use the proxy for everything). Even if I fill provide a bypass list in NO_PROXY. For example, then FME Server's dashboard statistics gathering workspaces do not work. So it seems to ignore the NO_PROXY variab

Hi all,New to FME here. We are looking to install FME onto a virtual server (vX Rail platform), a single engine, express install.In the short to medium term we will be using FME moderately however some of the jobs we plan to run will be resource intensive (90 GB file conversions from GML to .SHP as an example, once every quarter).Our proposed setup would be, single server with 1 vCPU, 100 GB disk space for OS and FME server install, 1TB for DB repository and any other stuff such as scratch space, paging etc. Additionally we are considering 32 or 64 GB of RAM.What are your opinions on this proposed configuration? Looking at various other posts people are using much less RAM so I'm wondering if this is overkill, or is it actually sensible?How relevant is disk space to overall performance? would 500gb be sufficient for temp storage and the database?Thoughts would be appreciated!

We would like to translate a citygml file - but we cannot enable the FME CityGML Importer with the files supplied by FME (.oemlic and .dat). It does not recognise them as liscense files. Has someone managed to do that? Could this Person please post a help? Kind regards, L. Muller

Hi!Having a hard time getting FME Desktop to play along with my Fedora 28 Installation. Used to be ok with FME 2017 and Fedora 27 but after upgrading, FME 2017 Workbench seems to install OK but won't start. FME 2018 won't even install with the following:/var/tmp/rpm-tmp.0TKvDW: line 8: pip3: command not founderror: %prein(fme-desktop-2018-2018.0.1.1-18312.el7.centos.x86_64) scriptlet failed, exit status 127Error in PREIN scriptlet in rpm package fme-desktop-2018Error in PREIN scriptlet in rpm package fme-desktop-2018 Some weird python package manager issue perhaps??Also when I remove the faulty 2017 install of FME it ruins my QGIS 3 installation in the process. I'm fully aware of the fact that officially FME is only supported on Ubuntu LTS, but it should definetly also be working on Fedora IMHO. Any feedback appreciated.Regards,Stian

However when I call it from informatica http transformer, it does not work. Under job history in fme server, it can be seen that the job is being triggered from informatica but the end result is not there.I am trying to update a column in the database.Thank you.

A team mate published a workbench to server. I need to make a change to it, but when I went to download the fmw from server, it downloads a json file instead. I can log into the hosting server and copy the file from the repository, but can't figure out how to get the workbench to download from the server web page.

Hi!recently a FMEServer managed by us stopped working after an automatic security check. The service was not able to start anymore, and I got the windows-error-popup with the message: "Windows could not start the FME Server Core service on HOST. Error 2: The system cannot find the file specified."The problem was the registry-key for starting the services: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/SYSTEM/CurrentControlSet/services/FME Server Core where the value with the image path was notin quotes: C:\Program Files (x86)\fmeserver\Server\WindowsService\FMEProcessMonitorCore.exe -s FME Server Core As unquoted service paths can be a risk in Windows, the radarservice automatically set the path in quotes, as there were blanks in theinstallation path (...\Program Files (x86)\...). But it set the whole expression in quotes, including the "-s". "C:\Program Files (x86)\fmeserver\Server\WindowsService\FMEPr

I have a workspace deployed on FME Server that takes a number of .jpg images and places a point, using image EXIF info, and creates an attribute with a link to the image. The destination file types are a shapefile and a KML. To create the link to the image I am pulling the filepath from the "fme_dataset" attribute. The issue is when I run this process on FME Server, using the Temporary Uploads/Upload File option, it reads the filepath from the temporary directory on the server where the image was uploaded to rather than the original image location.Does anyone have thoughts on how I can adjust the workbench or FME Server settings to retain the original filepath?Many Thanks, Dan 

If I wanted to know how the technical specifications for previous versions of FME (Desktop and Server), where can I find that information?

Is there a way to make FME Server move emails to a certain folder or even delete them once they have been read by the IMAP publisher?There is no such option in the publisher settings. Is there maybe a trick to do the same using a custom transformer?
