I went through an express install on and Amazon EC2 instance, upgrading it from FME Server 2016 (and cunningly skipping 2017). Everything went smoothly until I went to startServer and it complained about [ec2-user@ip-10-140-151-106 fmeserver]$ Mar 21, 2018 9:00:05 PM org.postgresql.Driver connectSEVERE: Connection error: org.postgresql.util.PSQLException: Connection to localhost:7082 refused. Check that the hostname and port are correct and that the postmaster is accepting TCP/IP connections.   This looks like a problem with the default FME Server database, but I don't know enough about postgres config or Red Hat to know what to do to appease it. I got as far as opening port 7082 on the instance through the AWS/EC2 control panel and when that made me cringe, I determined I no longer know what I am doing and need help.   If you can, please help! -Fuad

Hi,Almost overnight, the help dialog prompted by the help buttons on the transformer settings dialogs stopped working.I was using 2017.1 x64 (build 17650), but it fails in every version installed, both 32 and 64 bit.The only change from earlier is that I've recently installed 2018.0 on the machine.The help dialog opens, but it never gets any content. If I paste an url into the help dialog address bar, it works however. So it looks like it's the initiation command to the help dialog that's failing.The "Documentation Help Locations" in the "FME Options" seem to be in order.Any insights on how to remedy this is appreciated.

I am trying to submit a csv to a workspace in the cloud using javascript API~below is the call to submit the job to the workspace.FMEServer.submitSyncJob(repository,workspace,params,showResults) The data gets uploaded but the workspace fails with this message:CSV reader: Failed to open file 'C:\\fakepath\\1801116-012618RF(TGS_Export_v2).csv' for reading. Please ensure that the file exists and you have sufficient privileges to read it.Is this a permissions issue, the csv is uploaded to the server so I am wondering why the file is not available for processing also the log file appears to show that the workspace continues but does not produce a result.

I installed FME 2018 64 bit on my machine that have already FME 2017 32 bit. I have also ArcGIS 10.4.1 32 bits on my machine. Finally, 32 bits Oracle client is installed. Right now FME 32 bits version is working, I can create a reader and fetch data from it. I was asked to test FME 64 bit version and I cannot connect to the database. I have read the link included in the error:ArcSDE client library location could not be determined. Please ensure that FME and the installed ArcSDE client libraries are both 32 bit OR both 64 bit. Then refer to this article http://fme.ly/8q8 for more details. Please visit http://www.safe.com/support if the problem persistsIn the link, doesn't say where it take the 64 bits dll. It's writen to take them in the ArcGIS, i don't see how 64 bits dll version are included in the 32 bits version. I'm not sure what do to. Thanks

Im trying to connect to the license-server with FME licensing assistent, but it fails.It connects to the license-server on port 27000, but says that "it doesnt appear to offer FME licenses". Hi,I was trying to submit job in FME server and it just throwing it in to queue. while I am troubleshooting the issue I have noticed there is no engine listed at Engine Management page I am wondering why??Ihave tried to fix the issue by restarting all FME related service manually and didnt work.Any suggestion? this is production environment ?thank you

The FME License Sever service will not start with the License file provided. See the below error when attempting to start the service. I am trying to read data from a shared drive into a PATH reader on server and keep getting "Could not find folder'I have checked permissions on the server, i have the services with the right permissions, i have even tried adding the shared drive as a resource but that fails too.I can login to the actual server and i can map the drive and see the data so i have no idea what i can do now.can the PATH reader see shared drives?I am also using UNC paths.

Hi,after the FME Server 'Express' on linux centos 6.9 installation we have this output messages: Setting up Database...cp: cannot stat '/etl/fmeserver/Utilities/pgsql/data/postgresql.conf': No such file or directory sed: can't read /etl/fmeserver/Utilities/pgsql/data/postgresql.conf.tmp: No such file or directory.We have check the install.cfg file for verified the installation data and all seems correct. I'd like to publish a user account of an FME Server under my management, in order to allow some clients (Desktop users) to try FME Server quickly even without signing up either FME Server Trial or FME Cloud. However, I don't want to allow them to change password by themselves. Is it possible?

Currently, we noticed that the scheduled job in FME Server is consuming an extra FME license. This happens when the FME Script contains an FMEJobSubmitter. We can see that another fme.exe process is available in the Windows Task Manager aside from the other 4 allotted for the FME Engines. This should not happen.

Hi There are 4 sevices on FME Server - FME Server Application Server, Core, Database, Engines. Is there any required order of services running, e. g. when the whole machine is restarting?

Hi,I'm new to the Docker world and trying to get an understanding of how things work. I've downloaded a couple of the Docker compose files for FME Server and have done some initial playing around with them using the Docker for Windows platform. From my observations to date, all data is lost if the Docker instance is shut down using the docker-compose down -v command, so an FME Server backup should be performed prior to shutdown.According to information given in this post, it is recommended to leave the Docker container running and let Docker itself manage bringing the FME Server instance up/down if the host machine is rebooted. This will preserve configuration changes, so all good so far, just don't shut down the container!What happens if the host machine crashes? I assume that Docker will not be able to shut down cleanly and all FME Server configuration information will be lost? Hi,We upgraded from 2015 Server to 2017 on our test server. Desktop picks up the ArcMap 10.5.1 license. I can open ArcMap on the machine.But FME Server 2017 does not recognise the license. Hi FME-Users and -Experts!I am creating a custom WebApplication for my co-workers to use some workbenches on their own with FME Server instead of asking me all the time. So far it works quite well. The site can load the parameters of a workbench automatically. I can even submit a job and retrieve the results as a download-link. But: Every now and then the upload-function stucks. On the server I can see that the specific folder is created (System/temp/upload/<repository-name>/<workspace-name>/<session>), but the content is empty. After some minutes the session-folder is deleted. Furthermore the parameters are not completey loaded. The default values are missing. When using the plain example from FME Server Playground (Upload File In Session) and just replace the server, token, repository and workspace it works. suspect my modified JavaScript has a bug, but I can not find it, nor do I know what to look for.Any suggestions?!FME Server 2016.1.0.1 - Build 16494 - win64 Web

Hello, I'm a newbie here so I hope someone can help me out.I have a basic work space where I extract data out of an Oracle DB and write it out to an MS Access DB and compact on completion.This is to be run by a scheduled task on a server calling a batch file which has the command line prompt for calling my FME workspace.I wish to use 64 bit FME to do this transformation but upon completing the transformation successfully it gives an error saying compacting of database is not available in 64 bit.The result being a Access DB with all the data but not compacted.Thanks in advance for any help.

I am running FME 20170331 - Build 17280 - Win64, with ArcGIS Desktop 10.5 and ArcGIS Pro 1.4 in the background.For ArcGIS Desktop I also installed the Background Geoprocessing extension to enable a 64-bit Python with arcpy.
