How to add a new attribute showing an existing attribute as a percentage of that columns total value?

I have a table with integer values as one of the attributes. I need to add an attribute to represent these values as a percentage of the total of these values like in the table below. have thisneed thisvaluepercentage of total617.64705882411.76470588617.6470588238.82352941225.882352941617.64705882720.58823529 I figured ExpressionEvaluator is correct approach but Im pretty new to fme and cant see how it's done. AutoCAD Writer - "Shape defined within template is not stored. Error."

Trying to run very simple workspace read several DWG files and write them back out to new files with the AUTOCAD_OD writer. Using FME 2018. I have set a path to the Template file and the shape file folder (which I take to be fonts & linetypes), but it keeps erroring out with "Shape defined within template is not stored. Error." Any suggestions?

Change detector problems

I'm trying to update some feature service layers in AGOL from a file gdb, but I'm having some issues with the change detector. Many of the layers are working fine, and some that didn't work at first could be fixed by unchecking the "check geometry" option. Unfortunately, some of my change detectors are still processing many of the features as "updated" (I have made no changes to the layers), even with the geometry option unchecked. I have also tried to use a coordinate rounder with no success, and now I'm not sure what else I can do. If I try to continue with the update, I get an error 1019. Any help would be appreciated!

Would like to use Database Connections as Published Parameter Options

So I have two database connections in Tools | FME Options | Database Connections.One connection connects to our TEST database, the other to our PRODUCTION database.I am wanting to setup a published parameter so that the user is prompted for it, then they can select either of the two connection files, when they run the workbench. I cannot work out how to create a parameter and reference the database connections. Is this possible?

Azure Blob Storage - Upload Error

Hello,I'm using a series of 'SQL Executor', 'FeatureWriter' and 'AzureBlobStorageConnector' transformers to extract data via an Oracle SQL connection, write it to a .csv file (via a 'TempPathnameCreator') and upload it to Azure Blob Storage. It has been working, albeit intermittently. More often than not it is failing to write to Azure Blob with a rejection code of "UPLOAD_ERROR" and a rejection message of "'('Connection aborted.', timeout('The write operation timed out'))". I'm unsure if this is something I can fix, or if the problem is on the FME end, or the Azure end. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Many Data files and one column header file

I have many delimited text files of data for each county and one small delimited file with the column headings. The closest I have found to addressing this is this article https://knowledge.safe.com/questions/4831/attribute-header-mapping.html . However this does not seem to work, I also would think there is an easier way I am missing.

Modify a survey list automatically from a file with values

Hi there, With Covid, all our employees going to work need to fill a survey about their health status now. Every day. It's the same for kids going in summer camp for activities. So we've been asked to develop a survey that could change in time, depending on the kids that subscribed to the activities. The subscribed kids are exported into an Excel file every week. For the same activity, one week it could be 40 kids, the next one it could be 80. I thought to read the file with FME and push the kids into the survey every week. That way the list of kids in the survey could change without our help. And the kid (or his parent) could select his name to fill the survey. The issue is that we don't know any survey plateform able to change automatically from a script. Do you know if any kind of plateform could change when FME push new values into it? Survey123, Microsoft Forms, SurveyMonkey or something else? Thanks.

Georeferenced Image/ Static Map from Image Fetcher

Hi,Is it possible to get a georeferenced image/ static map from the image fetcher - or something similar?I've used the coordinates of a bounding box, and a Bing Maps API key to fetch an image but it isn't georeferenced.I've tried georeferencing it afterwards but the process completely distorts it so ideally I would like to avoid this step if possible.Thanks,

i would like to ask , how could How could i organizing the shape of the graphic then save it as PDF i mean , to save the graphic from inspectorFile > Save data As in the Data Inspector, and save it as a 3D PDF format. but i want to show the graphic in organized as shown as Picturei have different point connect together to the main point and i would like to organize the graphic as picture ,Main point and under this point the connection of lines to different points , i got already the relation between each main point and the another points . so i know each main point and connecting points to it . it does not matter if i change the length of the lines .it will be nice if also show the name of each point on the graphic .Thanks in advanceFME 2018

Native Revit reader: Linked Files help

Hi again, Thanks @andreaatsafe for helping me with my previous question. I have a follow up question about linked models. Is there a way to know if there are any models linked to a file? I would expect to see this in the file metadata information? I found this model online from here which you can download and contains linked models. I was hoping to be able try and combined a package of linked models but at the moment I cant tell if a model is linked or is it's own model.

Merge features 1...n without field in common

Hi,I extract the value in row which begins by FXXXXX (= fci field) and all the values from row 12 until the end. So, on the one hand, i've got 1 feature with 1 column (= fci = FXXXX) and on my other hand, 5 features with 16 columnsOn output, i want to add fci field on my 5 features.I've tried to use FeatureMerger/FeatureJoiner transformers with Requestor = 1 and Supplier = 1, but it doesn't workBut, i don't found the way to merge fci value with my other columns.How can I do that ?Thx in advance for helpingfci_suivi_commande_acces.fmw

How can I use an FME list in RCaller without getting an error?

I am trying to set a variable in the RCaller console. For example...type = (List$my_list{}.type)but it returns the error Error: unexpected '{' in "type = (List$my_list{"Is there some trick to using FME lists which contain braces in the RCaller script console?

fmeobjects has no attribute in python 3.7.

Hi.I am trying to run a fme workspace using python 3.7, but I always get: AttributeError: module 'fmeobjects' has no attribute 'FMEWorkspaceRunner' . In the script I added dir(fmeobjects) and I get:['__doc__', '__file__', '__loader__', '__name__', '__package__', '__path__', '__spec__'] I have read several treads in the forum but I cannot found any reason why I don't get all the attributes in fmeobjects. Neither how to solve it. Is my script incomplete? Is there a bug somewhere? Any suggestions? deleting the first element of a list

Hello!I'm new to FME and I'm getting stupid about a simple task:I want to take the second element of list I created and write it into a new attribute (X2), which doesn't work.If I begin by grabbing the first element like this, it works:import fmeobjectsclass FeatureProcessor(object):def input(self, feature):feature.setAttribute("X2",feature.getAttribute('List{0}.X'))self.pyoutput(feature)However, If I change that code to start grabbing values by the second row (change the code to "feature.getAttribute('List{1}.X')", I get an empty output.Can anyone help with this? Or is there any other solution that fits? Basically, I have an X-Coordinate-Attribute and I want that X-Coordinate to be substracted with the following X-Coordinate in the same attribute. I thought deleting the first element and then merging the resulting attribute to the original attribute would be the easiest solution. Thank you!

Way of specifying a floating point attribute's width and precision when converting from csv to shape?

I am looking to convert csv files to point shape files. Each attribute in the shape files require a specific format. Character string, date and double format all create as expected. The trouble comes with the attributes that require to be set as floating point. FME always defaults the floating point width/precision to 13.11 which adds additional zeros on to the values when viewing the attributes in the shape files. In this case the attributes required to be floating point are x, y, z, roll, pitch and yaw of aerial image photo-centres. Ideally the floating point width/precision needs to be 13.3 for XYZ and 9.4 for roll/pitch/yaw. The image below shows our validation tool used on the shape files output from FME. Creating heightmaps from very large pointcloud

Hi!I'm trying to create heightmaps (Grayscale PNG raster based on elevation/z-value) from multiple point clouds that make up a very large area.It can be done by combining all the point clouds with the PointcloudCombiner and then use the RasterDEMGenerator to create a large raster. This can then be clipped into smaller rasters of the desired size. However, creating the raster takes an increasingly long time (several days) when the raster becomes very large.Because of this I instead created a raster from each separate point cloud (and in smaller combined point clouds) and then merged them into a big raster before clipping them into the desired sizes. This was insanely much faster. However, I came across a new issue. When creating a raster from the separate point clouds, the values around the edges are not consistent with the rest of the point cloud, which creates and edge along the border of the raster. When merged together, they can be seen as lines that make out the separate raster

Inspector results not showing when used in custom transformers with loop and blocking

In my FME 2020.0.0.1 workspace I have a separate (external/exported) custom transformer with a loop and it contains a blocking transformer:When I execute my workspace I would expect the Data Inspector window to show up in the end with one result from the workspace and around three results from the custom transformer. I only get the result from the inspector in the workspace.I do however see 1 + 3 FFS files in my C:\\Users\\me\\AppData\\Local\\Temp\\wb-inspectors-pMivws folder which I can drag into the Data Inspector window and evaluate (though the three loop inspector results are shown as one combined entry).Why am I only seeing the results from the workspace and not those from within the custom transformer?

FME Desktop 2020.x Cannot select Hub Readers Format anymore

Hi,I get customer calls about the (free) FME Hub StUF-Geo Vertical Message Reader from Vicrea. It’s in the Format list of the Add Reader, but it’s not selectable anymore in, as far as I have tested FME 2020. I reproduced this issue:In FME 2019.2.3 the Format is in the selection list and can be selected.In FME 2020.0.0.1 the Format is also in the selection list but cannot be selected anymore (field stays red). Did a quick test on another FME Hub-format (PDOKURLREADER) with the same result. This seems a problem is introduced in FME 2020.+Do we (and others) have to republish the .fds formats or something like that? Any idea what’s causing this and have a solution (workaround)?
