Hi,

I get customer calls about the (free) FME Hub StUF-Geo Vertical Message Reader from Vicrea. It’s in the Format list of the Add Reader, but it’s not selectable anymore in, as far as I have tested FME 2020.

I reproduced this issue:

In FME 2019.2.3 the Format is in the selection list and can be selected.

In FME 2020.0.0.1 the Format is also in the selection list but cannot be selected anymore (field stays red).

Did a quick test on another FME Hub-format (PDOKURLREADER) with the same result.

This seems a problem is introduced in FME 2020.+

Do we (and others) have to republish the .fds formats or something like that?

Any idea what’s causing this and have a solution (workaround)?

Kind regards

There's a known issue with FME 2020 and custom formats from the Hub, it's flagged as FMEDESKTOP-10282 with Safe support. You may want to contact them citing the ID to get added to the list of those affected.

Hi @krien,

As @david_r mentioned this was a known issue with the early versions of FME 2020.0 for custom FDS formats.

This issue has been fixed in FME 2020.0.2.1, build 20238 and newer. Please try the latest version of FME 2020, which you can find here.

Hi @andreaatsafe, @david_r,

Superfast answer from you both!

I did search the www and the community for this, but without luck. Probably used a wrong search string. Do you have the url of FMEDESKTOP-10282 David mentioned, can’t find it?

Thanks again for the worldrecord in answering the question, I’ll send it to The Guinness book;).

Kind regards

The issue was originally mentioned by @takashi on the closed Safe Partner Community forum (seeing the green circle around your avatar I guess you should have access?).

Hi @david_r,

Thanks for the link and explanation of the green circle that appeared recently and I was wondering what this meant. It explains also the increased number of messages from FME community, they are welcome!

Kind regards,

Krien
