Hi,I would like to export images from a geodatabase attachment table to JPEGs. In the process I would love to write the geoobject feature attributes to name the jpeg.The attachments are joined to geoobject features by a Global ID. I would like to name the jpegs with attributes from "Stadsvandring" and "ID_nr" columns. I appreciate tips on what translators could be used!/Sofia

hello!!I am trying to build a model to find roadless area with FME.Firstly, I want to do a buffer with an esri-file geodatabase format file which is highway feature, then I want to dissolve it by 1 km with some attributes. then I want to erase the layer from the administrative boundary layer. Can I do this in FME ?Is anyone have any suggestion? thank you

I have made an aggregation of lines that I have saved in MS SQL. when I then make a STGeometryType () on the table I find that a GeometryCollection has been formed. I want to avoid this and instead save it as a MultiLineString. However, I do not find any settings where I can control this. (then I will do the same for points and spaces to completely avoid GeometryCollection.)

A direct utf-8 text file to utf-8 text file works perfectly but when I try to write to a system character encoding text file I get an error after a while.I include the log file in the workspace (https://goo.gl/DF46Yx)Any suggestions?

Hi all,I'm trying to process one DWG and create another DWG. There are some blocks inside and I used DWGStyler to make it all right. And that works. But there are also a number of zero-length lines for which I want to stay lines in the output DWG. Instead, they are turned to points and converted to blocks. I've tried to set the advanced parameter "output zero length lines as lines" but it is not working. No matter what I do, they become points and convert to block in output. Their position is identical to block position. I need them to stay there, and stay as lines or points but not to convert to blocks. Any advice what to do? Thanks.

Hi all,I have to extract the coordinates of some polygons' vertices from an SDE feature class and write them into a database table. The vertices have to be numbered according to their order in the polygon. I'm using the Chopper and the Geometry Extractor to get the vertices and their coordinates. However I didn't find a possibility to save a number for each vertex. For each polygon I'm transforming the numbering has to start with 1 of course. I first tried the Counter, but I can only get consecutive numbers for all vertices with it. Can I make the Counter start with 1 again when for each new Polygon or is there any other Transformer that can do the job?Thanks in advance for any hints!

My workspace has two readers - Oracle and Postgres. Sometimes the Oracle reader feature has records and sometimes it doesn't. I'd like for the Postgres Reader feature to be read only when the Oracle reader feature has records - i.e. to be dependent on there being records in the Oracle reader feature. Is this possible to do?

All:I have an issue with the following error on my Windows 2010 R2 Standard 64-bit server running FME Desktop version 2017.1.0.0 (20170731 - Build 17539 - WIN64).When I have the same version of FME running on another PC, the workspace runs fine without a hitch.I can't seem to figure out the problem. Hi!I have an Ubuntu 16.04 VM on Amazon EC2 and installed FME there. Due to compatibility issues, it is not possible for me to get a GUI when establishing a remote connection the the VM. I developed some FME workspaces on another computer and want to run them on the Ubuntu VM. As one of the workspaces uses an ArcGIS Online Reader, I need to add a web connection to the FME installation.However, I haven't found a way to accomplish that without a GUI so far. Is it possible to add the web connection thorugh the command line? Or Can I add the web connection in FME installation from another computer (with GUI) and copy a specfic config file to the other installation?Thanks in advance for any suggestions!Greetings, André

Hi there,I have a bunch of small polygons that each have an AREA attribute, showing their square footage. These are contained within several much larger polygons.What I need is if Large polygon A contains 3 small polygons, one 100ft, one 50ft, and one 75ft, I want to generate a new attribute in my output that says Large polygon A contains 225ft. The same happens for Large Polygon B, C, so on. My output is essentially the Large polygon layer, but with the additional new attribute.I did try a spatial relator between the small and large polygons, and then a Statistics Calculator outputting SUM and grouping by the unique ID each Large polygon has, but it seems like the output attribute is the first small polygon contained, not all of them together.Any insight in what I can do different here to get the correct results?

Is it possible to set the Update Key Field in de ArcSDE Geodatabase writer from an attribute value?I am trying to build e dynamic workbench to update features in an ESRI SDE Geodatabase. I set my writer in update mode and set fme_db_operation in the workbench. The datasets to process are fed to a featurereader from an csv file.My incoming dataset (67 datasets in total) has an attribute containing the name of the primary key column. This name is not constant for all tables which have to be updated. I have come across using the fme_where attribute but are not sure of the syntax to be used. From the data in my incoming tables I can build something like: fme_where='Primary_key=1'

recently I try to use Job id to check status of my submitted job on FME Server, based on FME Server Playgound, I try to use Get method to call this url: http://apptest:8080/fmerest/v3/transformations/jobs/397; this case job id is 397, authentication use token, I use browser of postman both get results:"message": "null for uri: http://apptest:8080/fmerest/v3/transformations/jobs/397". If I login FME Server, I can see the job is finished success. My question is how to get "STATUS", "RESULT DATA" information as attached below image. Thank you very much.

Hi all,I'm sure I'm missing something simple here but I can't see a way to limit the number of features that are read when the Reader is pointing to a folder of files eg. c:\\folder\\**\\*.jpgAs far as I can tell, the Max Features to Read options are only applied within a dataset, not across a number of datasets. I'm currently using a Sampler to throttle the number of features that are being processed at any one time but it still has to read every file into the workspace first. As the folder in question has thousands of image files, I would like an easy way to ensure that the process doesn't collapse!Cheers,Barrett

Hi,Having some major problems trying to read all the IFC attributes using the Revit Reader. In summary, I cant exposed an attribute called Identity Data.Keynote and also cant see it in the data inspector. From this Q&A;: Revit Reader - IFCPlateIt seems that this question is the same case as C130891 (PR#69269) I reported this Sept.Could you please check this? @DaveAtSafeI heard that this issue is planned to be fixed in FME 2018, but it doesn't seem to be implemented yet in the latest beta build 18213. It's a critical issue for a customer, and they (and I) wait for 2018 release.Hope it will be definitely fixed by 2018 official release. Thanks in advance.

I’m attempting to get a workspace containing SQL Server connections to run as a windows scheduled task. It starts up but but errors out like so:Thus far I have: made my database connections public, built a batch file, given the task ‘highest privileges’, set the Start In parameter to the location of the batch and tried my own user account as well as the network admin.The workspace runs just fine from within FME or from the batch. The error only appears when launched from the scheduler.I realise there are several articles about scheduling tasks in the Knowledge Base and I think I've been through all of them but obviously I’m still missing something. Hi Experts. I have an excel table 'lookup'(attached) with 2 sheets accounting and count. I want to add a column number in the count table wherein the value of number would be from the value attribute from accounting table with respect to the count attribute.I have tried using a combination of sorter, counter, lists and aggregator but didn't get the desired results. May be I had tried somewhat other way.Thanks.
