I'm trying to use the DatabaseJoiner transformer to link to an Oracle Spatial view (not table), but the SDO column is not appearing, nor is the geometry showing up in the resulting joined features. Can this transformer be used for this purpose?

Hi ! When I run my workspace, It stops because of duplicate data (but there aren't) I think It memorises something in a channel or something but I don't know where I can clean it .... Error : WARN |Oracle Writer: Abnormal channel cleanup required, likely due to previous error 

I'm trying to get FME Desktop 2018 Beta to run an AreaOnArea between two large SDE feature classes. It's millions of records in each dataset and FME chokes if I try to run the AreaOnArea in one go. I saw in the help you can use a custom transformer to apply parallel processing to help break the work into spatial chunks. I tried implementing this using by breaking my study area into tiles and then feeding each tiles into a custom transformer that imports the needed data and processes it, but when I check my results, the AreaOnArea results don't show the two datasets cutting each other.Here's the steps my workspace takes:1. Read in the project area polygon2. Use the Tiler transformer to cut the project area into 1 sq mile pieces3. Feed the tile features into a custom transformer4. Inside the custom transformer, use ArcSDEQuerier to read the features from my two input layers that intersect the tile, then feed these results into the AreaOnArea transformer. Within the c

Hi,I would like to create a csv file and set that to Schema mapper.. cause I have a requirement which will generate data dynamically from the folder which contains multiple zip files..Looping through Folder --> FeatureReader(Merging all shape files)-- > Generic --> Schema Mapper (My idea is to create a schema mapper dynamically and setting here)--> Dynamic writer or Featurewriter ..At the same time i have to run through all the folders and then through zip files and set the data to one fgdb.Requirement is.. I'm working on a workflow that uses the PythonCaller to extract coordinates from a source file of my choice and puts them in a results attribute. My plan is to replace the existing geometry with the one extracted using the GeometryReplacer with the OGC WKT encoding.As an example:This format needs to go into the GeometryReplacerLINESTRING(161274.467 453784.372,161277.253 453785.924,161279.958 453787.131,161280.921 453787.508)What i got is something like this, but it could be longer or shorter but always has a x and y coordinate but rounding after the comma could be different:161274.467 453784.372 161277.253 453785.924 161279.958 453787.131 161280.921 453787.508 How can you replace every second space with a comma without making it too static?This example contains four coordinates but it could have 8, 100 or more. After this stap i use LINESTRING(@Value(result)) to add the linestring text.

Hi, I have a table with values that I would like to map to different values via an external file. I can kind of make the AttributeValueMapper work the way I want, but only on one "source attribute" at a time. I've been trying to read about the SchemaMapper but the documentation is a little confusing and I'm not sure how to relate the help files to my example. So if I have a table with multiple names and "M" columns like below:And an external file with related values like below:What is the easiest way to map the number values to the letter values of the external file to result like below?Is the SchemaMapper the correct transformer for this? It seemed like it would need the attribute column names to match between the table and the external file, but I cannot rename the table headers. Seems like there should be an easy way to do this that I'm missing. Hopefully I've explained this well enough, any help would be appreciated thanks!

I want to load all the dbf files under a folder into an Oracle database, each creating a new table. Attached is workspace I created, but it gives an error that the schema is not defined for the writer. This can be easily done using ESRI arcpy, so should be easy in FME.

Hello,  I am trying to join parcel number to parcel in FME. I am importing geodetic plan in .DWG but I decomposed it in layers in .SHP to manipulate it easily.  I am facing a few problems. My plan is consisted of few layers. All parcels are made of lines and points and first thing I need to do is to make polygons(area) of these lines and points but LineBuilder and LineCloser are not helping me. I also tried with NeighborFinder but that doesn't work for me neither.  What transformer could I use to make area because after that I know how to join attributes (parcel number) to an area.  Thank You in advance, MaliodPalube

I have a GIS application using postGIS database . For some reasons i have to migrate from postGIS to oracle . And i got familiar with your awesome software  Migrating from a shape file to oracle is all right but when i am trying to convert data from postGIs to oracle, i have issues in converting geometry data , actually the source SRID is 4326 but when the convert is done , the geometry column is not in the right SRID and GeoServer is unable to load geometry data . I tried different methods in converting data such as  1- select SRID from source and  2- using EPSG 4326 on Oracle writer SRID but i still have the same problem

Hi! I would like to extract the middle coordinate of a three point arc. With the ArcPropertyExtractor I only get start, end and center point coordinates. The mid point does not necessarily be in the middle of the arc, but helps to describe it, together with the start and end point.Thanks a lot!!

Hi,  I am trying to do a simple conversion of my DXF file to KML. I do the following steps:1. I launch Start > Generate Workspace.2. Select format "Autodesk AutoCAD DWG/DXF" in Reader and give path to my DXF file, and add some coordinate system.3. Select Google KML format in Writer and give output file path.4. Click Ok. and it shows some input and output boxes directly connected to each other.5. I click RUN. In the terminal I see Success in the end and the file is created.6. I open the KML in Google Earth.In Google Earth I see whole earth covered with KML lines.Can you guys help me with this please? I am using FME workbench 2017.1

I have the geometry of the route. And a list of stops on it. The length of the path to each of the stops is known. How do I create a point with this data?  In total my task is to apply Z to my 2D route. I have Z for each stop and a route-based distance. As I can understand TopologyBuilder can accumulate that in one 3D route, but do not know how to create that points or how to get XY for them.  Thanks for any hint!

I'm trying to convert some data into the TOMTOM POI format, but I keep getting errors and the output file is created but not populated. I have one track stored in MID/MIF, and a couple of points from other source. It is something like bus route with list of stops. All what I need is to know, how far from the very first stop each other bus stop is. Looks like it is a task for a LengthToPointCalculator, but I can not achieve right way how to use it.:( From what I am starting: I use two MID/MIF readers as sources - one for route, another for stops. Then I use CoordinateExtractor to get X and Y as attributes for each point. And after some alchemy we reach that LengthToPointCalc. I do not want to explain all variants I've tried, but in any case I got only zero as lengths. There are no problem to get length between every pair of sequential bus stops. But I can not imagine how to sum it after that. I will appreciate any help!

Hi allI have an interesting task of joining 2 datasets: One dataset is a table with house numbers, the table has roadids, housenumbers (including letters) and an attribute that shows if the house number is an even number og uneven.The second datasat contains roadids that matches the first dataset but instead of specific house numbers the second dataset contains 2 attributes: house_number_from and house_number_to, the second dataset also has an attribute telling if the intervals are even or uneven numbers.The second dataset also has a district_id attribute.I have to join these datasets to get the district_id joined on the first dataset. I somehow have to determine if the adresses in the first datasets fall between the intervals in the second grouped by the roadidI have attached both datasets here:does anyone have an idae how to go about this?

Dear all,I am currently trying to expand an existing ASCII file with a single row. I have an ASCII file with X, Y, Z, R, G, B and an Intensity (Scalar field). My second ASCII file has the same X, Y, Z and Intensity but instead of R, G and B one single row, named Scalar field #2.I have both files imported as readers in CSV and connected them with an Aggregator. Now I get an ASCII file which has everything I want: X, Y, Z, R, G, B, Intensity and Intensity 2. My problem is, this task takes +40 hours, since I'm dealing with over 40.000.000 data points each row.  Is there a chance to just copy X, Y, Z, R, G, B and Scalar field from ASCII 1 to a file and extend it with Scalar field #2 from ASCII 2? Do I really have to Aggregate the whole process?Thank you in advance!

I have an aggregator transformer (to aggregate incoming features because I want a single feature to enter the subsequent Emailer transformer). I'm trying to use the python code (in PythonCaller transformer) to extract info about each of the aggregated features for output to the email. I'm using "for x in range (0, feature.getAttribute('Count')-1)" to try to loop over the lists but the workspace isn't accepting x.

I'm not sure how the FeatureReader is working when using the spatial filter on Oracle SDE data. I see the following entry in my log file:Notice - reader format `GEODATABASE_SDE' does not support querying by spatial predicate, but supports envelope queries. FME will create equivalent results by performing spatial predicate calculations locally

Hi,I am working on a use case of dissolving features that are touching (or share a common boundary) and also based on certain attribute criteria that these features need to fulfill. While I was successful in doing that (I can say that by seeing samples of the output), I was also hoping if I could distinguish the actual dissolved features so that I have an accurate account of where the change happened, especially for a large dataset (a million polygons)If someone can let me know that would be greatly helpful to test my work.
