Can I detect un-/connected input ports of a transformer ?

Hello FME-Community, I'm trying to find a workaround for the non-existing feature type TransformerInputPorts at the FME Workspace Reader.I would like to know whether it is possible to detect which input ports of a transformer are connected with other FME transformers within my workspace.The FME Workspace reader has among others feature types TransformerOutputPorts, Transformers and Connections.I tried to combine the information from these feature types, but without the desired resultsHow can I detect which input ports are (un-)connected for a specific transformer in my workspace ?

How to fit DWG block to bounding box of exported data?

Hello everybody!I try to solve one big problem... I work with workspace which export some spatial data and all I need to do is to create envelope around exported data. BUT, I need the envelope which is composed by predefined AUTOCAD BLOCK in separate DWG drawing (e.g. frame or drawing stamp; block is everytime centered into 0,0 coordinates)... To better imagination I attached picture, where I decribed my aim.I would appreciate every help. Thank You so much!Lubo

How to convert coordinate values of feature and work with list

Hello,I try to solve two problems. Database in my project contains many types of geometry - points, lines, polygons. I need to do bulk conversion of every coordinate by 2 decimal places. E.g. One point feature has X coordinate 152,125 and Y coordinate 696,745. I need to convert these values to X coordinate 15212,5 and Y coordinate 69674,5. Does anybody idea how to solve this problem please? Second problem is about work with lists. I have met many times situations when I use list in XML templater. I had to divide values of any attributes in list, so I have to specify index of feature in list, e.g. {fme:get-list-attribute("_indices{0}.x")}. But how can I specify, that I want to put there all values without index 0 please?Thank You so much!Lubo

Join poorly drafted lines

I hope someone can help me out. I have some curb lines that are poorly drafted. I tried to use Snapper (with various snapping tolerance ranging from 0.1 to 5) and then LineJoiner to join them together, but had no luck so far. HTTPCaller getting data from a form

Hello All,Using for the first time knowledge center (to post questions). I'm little bit new on HTTPCaller, not on FME :). Exporting geodatabase attachments to JPEG?

Hi,I would like to export images from a geodatabase attachment table to JPEGs. In the process I would love to write the geoobject feature attributes to name the jpeg.The attachments are joined to geoobject features by a Global ID. I would like to name the jpegs with attributes from "Stadsvandring" and "ID_nr" columns. I appreciate tips on what translators could be used!/Sofia

How to make an ArcGIS model in FME ?

hello!!I am trying to build a model to find roadless area with FME.Firstly, I want to do a buffer with an esri-file geodatabase format file which is highway feature, then I want to dissolve it by 1 km with some attributes. then I want to erase the layer from the administrative boundary layer. Can I do this in FME ?Is anyone have any suggestion? thank you

Aviod geometrycollection in MS SQL?

I have made an aggregation of lines that I have saved in MS SQL. when I then make a STGeometryType () on the table I find that a GeometryCollection has been formed. I want to avoid this and instead save it as a MultiLineString. However, I do not find any settings where I can control this. (then I will do the same for points and spaces to completely avoid GeometryCollection.)

UTF-8 text file to SYSTEM text file error

A direct utf-8 text file to utf-8 text file works perfectly but when I try to write to a system character encoding text file I get an error after a while.I include the log file in the workspace (https://goo.gl/DF46Yx)Any suggestions?

AutoCAD zero-length lines to stay lines

Hi all,I'm trying to process one DWG and create another DWG. There are some blocks inside and I used DWGStyler to make it all right. And that works. But there are also a number of zero-length lines for which I want to stay lines in the output DWG. Instead, they are turned to points and converted to blocks. I've tried to set the advanced parameter "output zero length lines as lines" but it is not working. No matter what I do, they become points and convert to block in output. Their position is identical to block position. I need them to stay there, and stay as lines or points but not to convert to blocks. Any advice what to do? Thanks.

Numbering a polygon's vertices by their order

Hi all,I have to extract the coordinates of some polygons' vertices from an SDE feature class and write them into a database table. The vertices have to be numbered according to their order in the polygon. I'm using the Chopper and the Geometry Extractor to get the vertices and their coordinates. However I didn't find a possibility to save a number for each vertex. For each polygon I'm transforming the numbering has to start with 1 of course. I first tried the Counter, but I can only get consecutive numbers for all vertices with it. Can I make the Counter start with 1 again when for each new Polygon or is there any other Transformer that can do the job?Thanks in advance for any hints!

Possible to make reading a reader's features dependent on another reader having features?

My workspace has two readers - Oracle and Postgres. Sometimes the Oracle reader feature has records and sometimes it doesn't. I'd like for the Postgres Reader feature to be read only when the Oracle reader feature has records - i.e. to be dependent on there being records in the Oracle reader feature. Is this possible to do?

Python Exception: No module named parser

All:I have an issue with the following error on my Windows 2010 R2 Standard 64-bit server running FME Desktop version 2017.1.0.0 (20170731 - Build 17539 - WIN64).When I have the same version of FME running on another PC, the workspace runs fine without a hitch.I can't seem to figure out the problem. Please note, I do have FME 2013 on this same server but the PATH for the environment variables have the 2017 path established before the 2013 path.Please Help!!! :)-----Python Exception <ImportError>: No module named parserCould not create Python Reader `GOOGLESHEETS'A fatal error has occurred

Add Web Connection without GUI

Hi!I have an Ubuntu 16.04 VM on Amazon EC2 and installed FME there. Due to compatibility issues, it is not possible for me to get a GUI when establishing a remote connection the the VM. I developed some FME workspaces on another computer and want to run them on the Ubuntu VM. As one of the workspaces uses an ArcGIS Online Reader, I need to add a web connection to the FME installation.However, I haven't found a way to accomplish that without a GUI so far. Is it possible to add the web connection thorugh the command line? Or Can I add the web connection in FME installation from another computer (with GUI) and copy a specfic config file to the other installation?Thanks in advance for any suggestions!Greetings, André

XML tag order and whitespaces

Hello everyone,I try to export some XML data package via XML Templater. I have many conditions in tag filling and in cases, when tag is not filled, FME left there many whitespace, even if I use XML Formatter. Finding the sum of an attribute of all features inside a polygon

Hi there,I have a bunch of small polygons that each have an AREA attribute, showing their square footage. These are contained within several much larger polygons.What I need is if Large polygon A contains 3 small polygons, one 100ft, one 50ft, and one 75ft, I want to generate a new attribute in my output that says Large polygon A contains 225ft. The same happens for Large Polygon B, C, so on. My output is essentially the Large polygon layer, but with the additional new attribute.I did try a spatial relator between the small and large polygons, and then a Statistics Calculator outputting SUM and grouping by the unique ID each Large polygon has, but it seems like the output attribute is the first small polygon contained, not all of them together.Any insight in what I can do different here to get the correct results?

set update key field from attribute value

Is it possible to set the Update Key Field in de ArcSDE Geodatabase writer from an attribute value?I am trying to build e dynamic workbench to update features in an ESRI SDE Geodatabase. I set my writer in update mode and set fme_db_operation in the workbench. The datasets to process are fed to a featurereader from an csv file.My incoming dataset (67 datasets in total) has an attribute containing the name of the primary key column. This name is not constant for all tables which have to be updated. I have come across using the fme_where attribute but are not sure of the syntax to be used. From the data in my incoming tables I can build something like: fme_where='Primary_key=1'

Check status using Job Id

recently I try to use Job id to check status of my submitted job on FME Server, based on FME Server Playgound, I try to use Get method to call this url: http://apptest:8080/fmerest/v3/transformations/jobs/397; this case job id is 397, authentication use token, I use browser of postman both get results:"message": "null for uri: http://apptest:8080/fmerest/v3/transformations/jobs/397". If I login FME Server, I can see the job is finished success. My question is how to get "STATUS", "RESULT DATA" information as attached below image. Thank you very much.

NURBS

Want to write NURBS with FME. Found that IFC supports it, however I guess FME can not write it. Any other format FME can write that create NURBS? (http://www.buildingsmart-tech.org/ifc/)

max features to read on a folder

Hi all,I'm sure I'm missing something simple here but I can't see a way to limit the number of features that are read when the Reader is pointing to a folder of files eg. c:\\folder\\**\\*.jpgAs far as I can tell, the Max Features to Read options are only applied within a dataset, not across a number of datasets. I'm currently using a Sampler to throttle the number of features that are being processed at any one time but it still has to read every file into the workspace first. As the folder in question has thousands of image files, I would like an easy way to ensure that the process doesn't collapse!Cheers,Barrett

Revit Reader - IFCPlate

Hi,Having some major problems trying to read all the IFC attributes using the Revit Reader. In summary, I cant exposed an attribute called Identity Data.Keynote and also cant see it in the data inspector.
