Is there a function or method for returning the date of the last Saturday of any given month? Input attribute would be formatted 'April 2018' or 'September 2019'. I'm currently doing this by manually inputting the correct dates in an AttributeCreator conditional statement. I'm looking for a method that would not require conitinual maintenance.

I have downloaded the 'fme-desktop-2017_2017.1.1.1.17652_ubuntu.16.04_amd64.deb' installer and attempted installation but this fails. I have followed the suggestions in the post here:https://knowledge.safe.com/questions/33517/fme-on-ubuntu-1604-install.htmlpython3.6.3 is currently installed.but error indicating broken dependencies:-libpng12-0 (>= 1.2.13-4), libpython3.5 (>= 3.5.0~b1), libqt5xmlpatterns5 (>= 5.0.2), libtcmalloc-minimal4, python3-matplotlib (>= 1.2.0), python3-numpy (>= 1.8.0)suggestion was 'sudo apt --fix-broken install' but this only offers to remove 'fme-desktop-2017Any ideas welcome. It seems the installer is looking for python3.5 so will it only install with 3.5?

We have just upgraded our 2017.0 to 2017.1.1.1 server and restored backup. We previously configured https on this machine. Anyone know if you can reuse the certificate on the same server? I would think that if I pasted the keystone file into the directory and made all the changes to the tomcat xml files it would work? Once I completed the FME Server Application Service would not startup and https isn't working? Any thought?

I am writing a routine to check an incoming dataset before loading. The first step is to make sure the dataset has all the required attributes, the second step is to make sure the values in the attributes are valid. I am using the AttributeValidator for this second step. Unfortunately, when I am validating a value, I have to hardcode all the values in the Rule Configuration box. I would like to be able to read a table and get these values and populate it in the Rule Configuration box. How can I do this?

HelloI have 150 CSV files. I would like to convert them to equivalent SHP files. I don't want to do it one by one of course hence I chose dynamic workflow. This should be just a mirror translation (with geometry creation from WKT along the way). But I can't get this to work. In the writer I tick the Dynamic Properties with Schema Sources set to "*.csv [CSV2]" but this doesn't create any shapefiles complaining: 'Features with no schema defined'When I untick the Dynamic Properties the shapefiles are created but only with the geometry, no attributes. Here's the workbench. The CSV filename is the name of the feature. Bunch of attribute renaming and removing. Creating geometries. Reader:Writer (I tried geometry defined by schema as well but same result):Am I missing something? Thanks!

I have several .dxf files of bathymetric data that I need to convert to LAS files, they contain the following: Bathymetry (contour lines), Sounding (points), 1Xanno (points) and 0 (no idea). I am new to FME and managed to figure out how to convert .xyz files to LAS but these are a lot more complicated.Thanks,LG

UnderGroundCable and OverheadTransmissionLine Line are two feature classes. some part of circuit A-B is UGC and and some is OHTL.Both feature classes are related with the Electric Line Table.In the ElectricLine table should be one record with the Circuitname= A-B and other common attributes and length should be UGC=OHTL .Relation is one to many by CircutName field.how i can do this by FME without creation duplicate record.Thanks & Regards, AZA

The example I have concerns "delay minutes" based on incidents on the UK rail system, so it is the "Delay_Minutes" value I wish to be evaluated.

Dear FME Users,  I’d like to process 73 input NetCDF-files. The files describe 3 days (73 hours). Every single file stands for one hour. The NetCDF-files don’t include any useful time attribute.  What I need is the timestamp for every single input written in an attribute .The data type should be “date”.  In the following you can take a look to the assignments (input files -> time):  - HRES_ENS_2017062200+019 -> June 22, 2017 “07:00 p.m.” - HRES_ENS_2017062200+025 -> June 23, 2017 “07:00 a.m.” - HRES_ENS_2017062200+071 -> June 24, 2017 “11:00 p.m.”  What I can do in FME is to extract the substrings I need (e.g. “2017-06-22-19”).  I’ve tried following transformers too: “DateFormatter”, “DateTimeCalculator” and “TimeStamper”.  Do you’ve an idea how to solve it?  Thank you very much and best regards!  Konrad

Hello, I have a cad file that contains lines, points, poligons and surfaces and i want to filter the geometry and in the same time to merge all the line on a single feature class, the the poligons , points, etc . I haven't found any transformers that can help me with this. Can you tell me if there is any transformer like "Merge" function in ArcMap? I was using a model builder to merge the features after the translation. Also the same model was used to calculate fields or to add a new one. Is this possible in FME?

Looking at the data, I'm not really sure if it is even possible to make it work for all of them.I've been trying with spatial relationships, but I can't make it work either.I'm out of ideas. I need to create a csv-file with a special structure. I 've two problems which I haven't an idea how to solve:1. How can I add a file-header before the actual content (The yellow part on the picture)?2. If an element has more than one coordinate pairs (in case of a line) how can I add the vertexes and the end-point on the same row (The part witch is in blue on the picture)? When I run an FME Script in one repository containing a custom transformer, FME Server will sometimes incorrectly use a custom transformer with same name from a different repository.  I have separate repositories on FME Server for a set of workspaces. I would like to extract some logic into custom transformers that would be loaded into these repositories. Unfortunately, it seems that FME Server sometimes loads a transformer from a different repository. I can run the same workspace in one repository twice in a row and get a different result because it will grab a transformer from different folders on different runs.

Hi there,I can generate Token from FME Server2017 using C#, tested with postman, see attached image, but when I try to use same method from FME Server2016, it gives me error: Both user ID and password need to be specified for viewing/generating token. So what's the correct way to generate Token in FME Server2016.1 using postman or C#. Thank you very much.

Since I upgraded to latest Build 17650 I first had problems with a corrupt FME Installation where e.g. StatisticsCalculator outputted only NULL-values (see this thread).Now I executed all our statistics batches finding out FME is now writing data in white font color with white borderlines, you can say as "white boxes". It ignores formatting of the template-Excelfile. The data itself is there, but not visible because of white color. The XLS-Template used (since 4 years unchanged) has standard formating in black with light grey borderlines...Are there any known bugs in the excel writer since Build 17291?If you change font color and borderline color manually you can see the values:

Hello FME-Community, I'm trying to find a workaround for the non-existing feature type TransformerInputPorts at the FME Workspace Reader.I would like to know whether it is possible to detect which input ports of a transformer are connected with other FME transformers within my workspace.The FME Workspace reader has among others feature types TransformerOutputPorts, Transformers and Connections.I tried to combine the information from these feature types, but without the desired resultsHow can I detect which input ports are (un-)connected for a specific transformer in my workspace ?

Hello everybody!I try to solve one big problem... I work with workspace which export some spatial data and all I need to do is to create envelope around exported data. BUT, I need the envelope which is composed by predefined AUTOCAD BLOCK in separate DWG drawing (e.g. frame or drawing stamp; block is everytime centered into 0,0 coordinates)... Hello,I try to solve two problems. Database in my project contains many types of geometry - points, lines, polygons. I need to do bulk conversion of every coordinate by 2 decimal places. E.g. One point feature has X coordinate 152,125 and Y coordinate 696,745. I need to convert these values to X coordinate 15212,5 and Y coordinate 69674,5. Does anybody idea how to solve this problem please? Second problem is about work with lists. I have met many times situations when I use list in XML templater. I had to divide values of any attributes in list, so I have to specify index of feature in list, e.g. {fme:get-list-attribute("_indices{0}.x")}. But how can I specify, that I want to put there all values without index 0 please?Thank You so much!Lubo
