Hello everyone,I have a problem with coordinate transformation with data in citygml format with LoD2 and to write to another citygml file. I use CsmapReprojector, define transformation parameters XFORM_DEF and nothing. My input data is in EPSG:31277 and that is Gauss-Kruger projection and it is deprecated. I want to transform data to EPSG:4326 or 3857 or 32634 on WGS ellipsoid because i want to use 3DcityDB import/export toll. Data in input projection:and after transformation i get this:

My colleague and I have both an FME license. We use a workspace to bound pictures (jpg) to trackpoints from a gps (gpx) based on their time. When he runs the workspace it takes about 10 minutes for 5000 pictures. When I run the workspace it takes about 10 minutes for 100 pictures. Our pc's are both very good. Similar cpu's (i7 5930). I have 64gb ram. He has 32 gb ram. I have a nvidia quadro K4200. He has a gtx 1080.

I have written an FME workbench hosted on FME Server that will be called by the Informatica application.The Informatica team want a logging mechanism via an Oracle non spatial table. The columns in the table areworkbench_id (published parameter filled by Informatica job call)workbench_name (fixed value - e.g Clipper_Perf_POC)run status (1 = run started, 2 = run success, 3 = run failed) They want to insert a log message at the start and a second log message at the end of a workbench..  What is the most elegant way to do this - start up and shutdown scripts, fmeserverjobsubmitter (aka workspace runner)? Is it worth adding the fme server job id to the table...the workbench_id parameter filled by Informatica is not very informative for further investigation within FME Server.Any tips would be appreciated.  

Hello FME-Community,I am working with FME desktop 2017 and with a raster layer of altitudes. I would like to obtain a new raster layer from the previous one, which shows a range of altitudes between 100 and 200 meters. I am new working with FME and I still have not been able to find a tool to perform this operation. Could you help me or give me an idea?Thank you very much. 

Dear experts, I have a dwg-file wich is told to be in RT90 5 gon W. I have not been able to position it right though, but now I think I have localized the issue. It seems like the two first digits of all the coordinates are missing. Therefore, I would like to add 6200000 and 1400000 to the coordinates. How is this done? I have tried to set up a new coordinate system with the right parameters but I just cant get it to show up in the coordinate system gallery? Is there maybe a better way?Thanks.

Hi,I am doing an update task where I need to update dataset A with the new lines from dataset B. Dataset B includes all of the lines that are already in dataset A plus a number of new lines. I am using a spatial filter to filter out just those lines in dataset B that are not in dataset A. In the spatial filter I am using "Filter Equals Candidate" as the test. My expected result is that the new lines would fail that test and appear at the Failed port, however all lines fail.When I do a select by location in ArcGIS with the selection method set to "identical to the source layer feature" and reverse the selection I get the correct new lines.I can get the spatial filter to output the data in the correct way (based on my test in ArcMap) but only if I add a coordinate rounder to both input features with the precisions set to 3. This however changes the output data making it inaccurate.Is there anyway I can achieve what I need to do using the spatial filter without introdu

Hello everyone,I have line feature which I have to buffer and dissolve. When I use the bufferer and dissolver, it takes very long time because I have a large amount of feature. If I Buffer the lines with group by fme_feature_type than the output buffer polygon is completely dissolved. I do not need to use dissolver. But it takes also much time. I tried this way with small set of features, it is faster than using Dissolver. But it shows this massage and running with a long time. Should I have to use any additional transformer to improve the work-space? I have created a SQL Server in in Microsoft Azure with a database containing a table with of int, float, varchar and datetime data types.I have a workbench (2017.1) that is using a FeatureReader and the Microsoft Azure SQL Database Non-Spatial to read data from Azure SQL Server and write to a shapefile.his works great in desktop, however when I publish this to FME Cloud I get the below error.Module 'MSSQL_AZURE_SPATIAL' is unavailable for use with this FME editionI know FME Cloud does not run Microsoft ServerIs there a way to read Azure SQL Server database tables in FME Cloud?

Good afternoon,I've been working on this process for quite awhile with no luck. The objective is to convert a CAD drawing of interior spaces. I took the original CAD exterior walls (BLUE), and created polygons. I then used a centerline replacer to create the middle line (RED). However I cannot extend the line. I've tried intersector and snapper\\anchor snapper, no luck. I've also tried line extender, intersector, snapper and again the lines will not budge. I'm at a lost. Any help would be greatly appreciated! The large gaps in the front of rooms are for doors, which I have worked around. These wall lines are my biggest problem. I'm thinking Python might be a better position.Thanks, David

Hi all, I have two environments of FME Server: dev and prod. Based on the hostname, I want to set several parameters:FME Server connection for notificationEmail addresses are different...I do this with very simple Python scripts like:_hostname = FME_MacroValues['FME_SERVER_HOST']if _hostname == 'XXXXXXXXXXX':    FME_Connection = 'fmeserver_prod'else:    FME_Connection = 'fmeserver_dev'return FME_ConnectionThis works well on FME Server, but I cannot run this Workspace any more on Desktop. When filling in a value for FME_SERVER_HOST on Desktop, Python does not seem to be able to get to the FME_MacroValues. Anyone some advice on how to solve this?

I simply would like to set up a dyamic Reader in PostGIS that will read all the tables I select at runtime, then having a postGIS dynamic writer connected to this reader that would copy the same geometry, schema definition and data from the reader, the name of the table will be the name of the of the original table plus underscore, something like "original_table" => "original_table_".Though it seems a very simple task to accomplish I tried in many ways but I cannot get FME to do it. Hi All,I am trying to use workspace runner for one my task.i have around 50 GDB which i want to run using one of my other workbench output of this workbench is going to be in XML . that is reason why i had thought of using workspace runner. I am using path reader to specify the folder , where i had kept my GDB's . I want my output XMl's to be stored in folder with name of input file GDB. not sure how i can do that . the workbench which i will be running using the work space runner has already set for segregate the output XML base on other fan out criterion. any help will be appreciated on this on how i can stored my XML's in folder with input GDB name .

Hi,I'm new to the Docker world and trying to get an understanding of how things work. I've downloaded a couple of the Docker compose files for FME Server and have done some initial playing around with them using the Docker for Windows platform. From my observations to date, all data is lost if the Docker instance is shut down using the docker-compose down -v command, so an FME Server backup should be performed prior to shutdown.According to information given in this post, it is recommended to leave the Docker container running and let Docker itself manage bringing the FME Server instance up/down if the host machine is rebooted. This will preserve configuration changes, so all good so far, just don't shut down the container!What happens if the host machine crashes? I assume that Docker will not be able to shut down cleanly and all FME Server configuration information will be lost? Just wondering, how can I give different priority to run couple of streams in one Workbench, I want to run one of them and then run the others . thanks.

We have a workspace - published in FME Server - that crunches a bunch of data, writes out one or more records to an Excel file, and then kicks off an FMEServerJobSubmitter to a second job that reads in the Excel file to update some features in ArcGIS Online. Our issue is that the second FME Server job fails because the Excel file it is trying to read is still in the process of being written in the first job. How do we ensure the Excel file is done writing in the first job before the second tries to read it? We are running FME Desktop and Server 2016. Thanks,Aaron

When playing around with FME 2017 today on a new project, we noticed that attaching an sde writer to a workflow dramatically slows down the reader. Has anyone else noticed this issue occur? Worth noting is that we aren't using versioning or transactions (transaction type = 'none') and the only reason we are using the GEODATABASE_SDE writer is because we need to write esri's ST geometry.Writing to Inspector: FME Session Duration: 16.5 seconds. (CPU: 11.1s user, 1.6s system)Writing to SDE: FME Session Duration: 2 minutes 6.0 seconds. (CPU: 51.0s user, 2.5s system)Since Oracle writers work fast and all we need is the esri ST geometry type, we were thinking about trying to hack together a solution where we could trick FME into writing the point geometry out in the expected format ie: SDE.ST_GEOMETRY(1,1,-10106993.68204,5190612.4770125,-10106993.68204,5190612.4770125,0,0,NULL,NULL,0,0,300041,(BLOB))

I have a set of point objects with rotation attributes. I would like to use this rotational value to go in a straight line in that direction until it encounters something. In this case it will be a line object. Finally I would like to retrieve a attribute from this neighbouring line. The Neighbour finder will pick the nearest object, but I want to pick the first object along the points bearing/heading. Is there some way to do this?

I have a bunch records that I'm aggregating. After this, I'm applying business rules and based on what's outputted, I'll know which of the original records I want to parse differently (i.e. not through aggregation, business rules set #2). I want to go back to the beginning of the workspace to allow these specific records to pass through in its original format. How do I do that?I'm thinking of aggregating the unique ids of the records I want, and use this value to test against the original records, like: ID in @Value(aggr_ids_to_keep), but then the record that has the aggr_ids_to_keep attribute will be its own record.Here's another way to look at what I mean. The recordset would be like {0:n,m} where 0:n are the original records and m is the one with aggr_ids_to_keep. In this scenario, how do I get m to compare against 0:n?

Where can I download the data files for the "Getting Started Exercises"

I need to simply sort according to region, and then for each region, set a counter from 1 - n. Thus each region will have a 1,2,3 etc. I have set up a sorter ok but the counter does not start from 1 again on the next region.

I have a a set of point objects with a rotation attribute. These are later to be turned into labels. Each label point has a corresponding reference point that it needs to be facing away from. That's where the "behind" and "front" come into the picture. A quick example of what I want to do: Say I have a label point rotated to 20 degrees, and the reference point is at an angle of 50 degrees. This means that the reference is in the "forward" 180 degree sector and that the label needs to be flipped/rotated 180 degrees. The above example is straightforward but the fact that this is a rotating object that jumps from 360 degrees to 0 has me pulling my hairs. I need help with the math, and syntax. I have tried to incorporate a modulus 360 but have not managed to get it working. I am using a Testfilter to detect the relations between the points. What should the formula look like?Let assume that the rotation of the label is R and the angle to the reference point
