Trying to get some calculations done.But as soon is the band and the attributes are combined the calculation fails.The pic shows the expressions.The first 2 get a values rest drop to No Data.Tried rounding using int8, 16 etc. , ceiling. Every time same result.Tried different interpretations.The input is a DEM; min= 0 and max 519 (Real64) Any tips on this?The calculation is a non-iterative variant for gradients. These work neatly in python script I made (did not invent the calculations , mind you)tx for any thoughts!

   I am new to FME and need to perform an intersect with a specific cluster tolerance. In ArcGIS Pro you can set the cluster tolerance during an intersect (http://pro.arcgis.com/en/pro-app/tool-reference/analysis/intersect.htm) but I don't know how I can reproduce this in FME? The clipper does not have this option and there is no "cluster tolerance" transformer. Any suggestions?

In a workspace, I retrieve by spatial relation (AreaOnAreaOverlayer followed by a Sampler, SpatialRelator after InsidePointReplacer, ...) an attribute value in a table and a shape that have nothing to do with the table and the source shape. So I create a second workspace in which I retrieve the previous attribute value in the table and the original shape by a Joiner.  How can I do this in one workspace?

Hello everyone,  I am working with line geometry as a reader. Then i buffered the line feature and used generalizer (with Algorithm: Douglas Generalize, share boundaries: No, Tolerance:30), to simplify the buffered line feature and need a output with Esri Geodatabase (File Geodb API). But it shows the errors:Failed to write Geometry to feature class 'way_r' with geometry type 'esriGeometryPolyline'. Dropping containing featureI have also attached the ERROR text. I have FME 2016 1.3.2 64-bit installed together with ArcGIS Pro 2.0.1 and ArcGIS 10.5 and uses the File Geodatabase ArcObjects reader and writer. When I run a workspace I can see the the line "Installed ArcGIS version is '2.0'" in the log indicating that FME are using the ArcGIS Pro installation to read and write the data. Now I have installed ArcGIS Background Geoprocessing to run some python scripts in 64-bit. But after the installation of ArcGIS Background Geoprocessing I am getting "Error running translation" in workbench after running all tranformers in the workspace and writing the data is done. I have compared two log files one from before the installation of ArcGIS Background Geoprocessing and one from after the installation. Before the log says: "Installed ArcGIS version is '2.0'" and after the log says: Installed ArcGIS version is '10.5'.  So my question is can I control which verion of my ArcGIS installations for FME to u

I'm creating strings from feature with the StringConcatenator. Now I would like to group the feature-strings by an attribute with the Sampler. How can I add in front of each feature-group an additional string with the group attribute?

When attempting to create a writer for an Azure SQL database, I'm getting the following error:com.microsoft.sqlserver.jdbc.SQLServerException: The driver could not establish a secure connection to SQL Server by using Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) encryption. Error: "java.security.cert.CertificateException: Failed to validate the server name in a certificate during Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) initialization.". ClientConnectionId:94d4ffe6-d46d-4b02-8a9a-055ac0e021e8There appears to be an issue with the certificate chain Microsoft is using to enable secure connections to SQL databases. I was able to work around this issue in another tool by setting trustServerCertificate=True on the connection string. The FME Workbench UI does not allow me to customize the connection string. Is there another way to set this parameter for database connections?

Hello,I've a master model that calls multiple job submitter and it successfully runs on FME Desktop. However, when I run it on FME server, even though the transaction was said to be successful, FME Server still reports as translation failed."FMEWorkspaceRunner: The translation failed, review log for details"I check the log and it does not have any error. I'm trying to convert a CSV into separate JSON files, one JSON file for each row. The CSV has about 15 columns and is plain text.I'm hoping for each file to end up with JSON looking like this. { "type" : "kb", "id" : "1", "data" : "xyz" } But instead, the JSON data is embedded in an array. Hi, I have an issue that's an emergency. We frequently rely on FME Servers email subscription to send out emails. We use that service to notify ourselves if a scheduled script fails to run. We use it to notify clients when certain data is available for them to download. This week, all of a sudden those emails stopped delivering. I ran some tests today. Nothing. We have a script that notifies FME Server. The notification is received successfully. The subscription is also running successfully it seems. I checked the email log that falls under \\resources\\logs\\core\\current\\subscribers\\PVSRVFME_email.logThe log says all the emails have been "successfully sent" I haven't received any of the failure notification, not any other kind of emails. These are my FME Subscriber setting. It has been like this for months and the emails are usually sent finePlease let me know what can be done. I have an Excel Table with two columns as shown in the picture below. Additionally I have a bunch of features which holds an attribute named INFOTEXT. I would like to compare this attribute of each feature with the SOURCE-column of the Excel. If the string of INFOTEXT and SOURCE is equal I would like to add a new attribute with the content of DESTINATION column on the same row. Is this possible with FME?

Hi,I'm exporting numbers to an EXCEL template. When I open the file in Excel some cells are marked with a green triangle and the following information is displayed: "The number in this cell is formatted as text or is preceded by an apostrophe".This only happens to those cells for which I perform a division in FME. Other cells where I only have numbers or sums are not affected.The problem also occurs if the template is just an empty Excel file.Any idea how to avoid this? Is there any setting in Excel writer or do I need re-format those numbers before they are written? I tried already to explicitly convert the numbers beforehand (@double(<float>)) but to no avail,Thanks, Rob

I have a polygon layer(shapefile) and points layer(from csv) and use "Points on Area Overlay" function to count how many points within each polygon. But I don't know how to read the result. I have link the "area" output to a writer in shapefile format. In the inspector, I found that all _overlaps fields are 0. I suspect there is something wrong.

I have an attribute that contains a string representing a full street address (123 Somewhere St). I want to extract the number (123) and pass it to a different attribute (CustomerAddressNumber). I also need to extract all the characters (Somewhere St) and pass that to another attribute (CustomerAddressStreet). I'm sure this is simple, I just cant seem to get it straight at the moment.

Hello everyone,I use PBF data format as a reader. Which I downloaded from https://planet.openstreetmap.org/pbf/ or any other URL and Esri Geodatabase (File Geodb API) format as a writer.Is it any possibility that the reader takes the LATEST VERSION pbf file automatically from the website and After that the writer show the date of used pbf file (which date of pbf file was used)? For example: I took the pbf file of (2018-01-11) in reader and the writer shows the same date (2018-01-11) data is used for reader.Thanks.

We want to use FME server in order to copie/backup files , Application , database and store it in safe area , at the oment the task is done manualy , each time system admin will have to go trough all those files , and backup the to the specific location

Hello,I am looking for an easy way to get the user select the tables that they want to read and translate before the workspace runs. Is there an easy way to set this up using FME transformers or it has to be done resorting to other methods (i.e python scripting with specific postgis drivers) and if so, could I get some help on how to accomplish this?At the moment I have a creator, an SQL executor that extracts all tables from the schema I want the tables to be selected from, how can I convert this list into a parameter and then let the user select the tables they want to be then submitted to the PostGIS (or generic reader maybe) to then work with only that subset of tables?

I'm pretty new to FME and could really use some help on this. I am reading OBJ files and writing DWG files. I need to expose two "traits" in the source OBJ to re-use them in the target DWG. But I'm unclear how to access the traits.What I found so far... The two traits in the OBJ file belong to Geometry Type: IFMEMesh. The traits are GeometryTrait(string): 'obj_group' and 'obj_object'.My goal is to read the obj_group to write autocad_layer_name - and read the obj_object to write autocad_block_name. Hello, I'm using the AnchoredSnapper transformer in workbench 2017.1 The Snapping Tolerance Parameter will differ based on a density variable that I've constructed. I've created a User Parameter, (which is the only variable based option) and assigned it to the Snapping Tolerance Parameter but this does not give me the ability to pass the density variable at run-time. Is there a way that I might accommodate this use case? Thank you in advance, Brek
