As stated in the title,I want to compare two schemas to see if they have duplicate field names.My idea is to use the Change Detector, but i do not know how to expose field names from an reader Any thoughts?

In Road name file the names contain Locality names as well. is there any way I could identify if the names of the locality file. is available in road name file Please note that the words may not be exact. Hello, have a excel sheet with more then 20.000 records and only two columns.  I want to divide the two columns into 7 columns: The problem now sits in the PART_COLOR, not every row has a color, see my result: Is there anyone who can help me with this "little" problem? I will explain what my workflow now is:StringSearcher: I search for the string "SET NR001" in the Description column. So I only get this value's instead of all the other ones. (about 90 different parts).AttributeSplitter: split the Description column on every "space" and put them in lists.AttributeManager: create outputs for every list.AttributeCreator: create the different outputs for the different inputs, for the "Name" output I use list5 + list6.  Perhaps I am using the wrong tools, but I am a starting user at FME.

I am wanting to publish around 60 workbenches to FME Server 2019 to run sequentially as a single scheduled task, however cannot find any configuration in the interface which would allow me to do this.Ideally, I would want to be able to select the repository I publish the workbenches to and configure to run on one of our two engines of FME Server. This would save a lot of configuration time instead of having to create a unique schedule for every workbench.Can anyone suggest a solution or advise if this is possible? (Maybe an idea for a future release of server?)Thanks

I have a workbench that writes three mapinfo tables to a folder on one file server which I then want to filecopy the mapinfo tables to a folder on a different file server.I think I've got it to work, but I wanted to confirm.I use three FeatureWriters to write the mapinfo tables to a folder on the first file server. Then all three FeatureWriters go to a single FileCopy transformer.The parameters for the FileCopy are;Destination File Copy Folder = folder on first file serverfilecopy_source_dataset = folder on first file serverfilecopy_dest_dataset = folder on second file serverfilecopy_dest_filename = <blank>Is this correct?I have the address of the first file server in twice, once for the Destination File Copy Folder and again for filecopy_dest_dataset. Do I really have to enter this twice?filecopy_dest_filename is blank, which means I get a red arrow. But it runs anyway. Should I really leave this blank?It all seems to work, but it feels like I have not configured it correctl

I'm building a workflow that has error handling system in it. The idea is to send a message to the client about some specific error. To do that I've created a Custom Transformer that sends message. It would be very handy to extract the Transformer Name and send it as a Error Code. In that way I can avoid typing an Error Code as a parameter value.  On the attached image you can see an example where ER000n are instances of the same Custom Transformer. I wonder is it possible to extract whatever was used as a Name of the transformer (ERR0006, ERR0007, etc.) form inside transformer? Extracted name will be a part of the Error Message that I'm sending to user.  Thanks

Hello, I wonder if it is possible to choose which tab will be the active one after the creation/update of a Excel workbook with the Excel Writer.In my workspace I update a Excel workbook in which I have an 'history' tab. This one seems to be the last updated by FME because every time I run the workspace it is this tab that is active when I re-open the file in Excel.What I want is to set active my first tab with the actual data in it so the final user won't need to change tab every time the file is updated by the workspace.Hope the question is clear enough.

Hi all.This is occuring on FME Workbench 2019.1.I'm using an HTMLReportGenerator to create a table that should have 10 rows. However, I get the 10 expected rows, plus many more that simply say "None." (see attached photo). The 10 features come from a SQLExecutor and I've checked the output with an inspector and have confirmed that there are only 10 rows. The HTMLReportGenerator output isn't very telling, but here's a snippet of where the "None" values begin:             <tr>               <td>Point Loma</td>               <td>108</td>            </tr>            <tr>               <td>None</td>               <td>None</td>            </tr>I've tried replacing all instances of<tr>               <td>None</td>               <td>None</td>            </tr>with empty space but that didn't change anything. How can I completely remove these rows from the table? Example photo:

I need to filter out IfcSpace polygons whose Other.Area Scheme Id values are shown as Sections. I can able to filter out these in Inspector's Query tool but I cannot able to filter the same in Workbench after extracting IfcSpace Geometry traits with GeometryPropertyExtractor transformer.

I have a dwg file (AutoCad) with apparently no coordinates system. It looks like it is using a sort of arbitrary coordinates.I am looking for a way to Aling that drawing on a CanQ-M8 coordinates system.I know that I will probably need to offset the coordinates, rotate the map and maybe strech or shrink the drawing to make it fit.Is there any tools to do it ?Attached is the dwg drawing that I want to align on the base map (also attached)I only need the layer 41 of the dwg map.Thank youMathieu. 

I have a chain of WorkspaceRunners that I need to bring to FMEServer, but it should still be possible to run them in Workbench as well. So, I created a TestFilter where '$FME_JOB_ID' NOT has a value. If it does not have a value, a WorkspaceRunner is triggered. It fails with the message:Undefined macro `FME_JOB_ID' dereferenced in file `ReferencedWorkspace.fmw'An error occurred during the batch file execution, 1 translation failed. The following error message was raised: #2 : Undefined macro `FME_JOB_ID' dereferenced in file `ReferencedWorkspace.fmw'The parameterFetcher in the 'ReferencedWorkspace.fmw' causes this error.  The Workaround I made was to put a value 'N/A' in the 'FME_JOB_ID' of the ReferencedWorkspace (which also contains a TestFilter but with '$FME_JOB_ID'  NOT has a value or = 'N/A'). So two questions:why do I get the Error message in the first place? The Main procedure does not require the 'N/A' value for the FME_JOB_ID. It seems that the WorkspaceRunner does not resolve

Hi Trying to read an Oracle table containing one (Oracle limit) "Long" datatype field The field only brings through the first 8000 characters into FME (these are typically upwards of 9800 characters in this DB) As an aside into Access (ODBC) it reads more (8135) but not all of the field Does anyone have any idea how to bypass this limit and bring in the huge field? Thanks Adrian

Hi,I try to use the Rcaller in FME to perform zonal statistics. My input is a shapefile and a Geotiff, however i read that the Rcaller reads it as a dataframe when imported into R. I tried to convert it in the Rcaller back to a shapefile and raster (with rasterFromXYZ('dataframe) and SpatialPointsDataFrame() ), but i got a error that the X and Y coordinates are missing and I cannot figure out how to include them?In R would normaly perform a zonal statistics in the following way:setwd('location\\files) library(raster)  library(rgdal) shape <- readOGR(dsn = "Shapefile.shp") DEM <- raster("Elevation")#extract raster cell count (sum) within each polygon area  ex <- extract(DEM, shape, fun=sum, na.rm=TRUE, df=TRUE) My FME canvas looks at following:Can somebody help me with an example or url reference to one? Hi there,I'm trying to get grid locations from a polygon fgdb feature class attribute for the start and end of a fgdb line feature class. The attribute I need to put into the line data is a GRID ID (shown below). I've created two different scripts that seem to work, although all the writers have null values in both GRID_ID columns. I've attached a screenshot of the data in arc, and my workspace. In the second attempt of the workspace, the clipper doesn't output any features inside it.   

I have to write multiple consecutive datasets (adjacent tiles) to Aircom Enterprise files.Is there any possibility to merge new data of adjacent tiles to the existing clutter file in the folder instead of overwriting it?

Hi, I have a workspace that snaps my "From-To"-line to the end-point, which is working fine.However, I have some adresses which I want to route to the nearest object. So therefore I would want to start the line from the nearest position possible in the network, not from end-point (because the distances can vary very much between them).I´ve tried the "LineDivider" to create more lines and therefore get more end-points, which works, but seems to be a little bit over-worked.Is it possible to snap the "From-To"-line to a vertex of the network (instead of the end-point) in any other way, run the "ShortestPathFinder" and get a result?  (I´ve tried the "AnchoredSnapper" with "Vertex snapping", but that only generates a "NoPath").It seems odd only to be able to find the shortest path from end-point to end-point. 

Hi there,I have a text file containing 1 line with a length of ca. 40 billion characters. I need to parse the line into seperate lines, each 256 characters long.I have tried multiple configurations looping with the AttributeSplitter (to parse the lines into a list and write it ) in conjunction with the StringReplacer (to erase the characters parsed) but I keep hitting resources limitations, mainly memory.I am running it on a 64bit OS machine with 16Gb RAM, but apparently that is not enough.Has anybody done something similar and can share some insights on how to keep the memory eating capacity of FME down to the minimum?Is there a better way to parse the file, than standard FME transformers?Any help is appreciated.Itay
