I have a spreadsheet with columns of data that need multiple match criteria to merge (using FeatureMerger) with SQL DB records, then within the spreadsheet, there are 2 columns for Start and End Date ranges, and within the DB records is a specified date/time. What would be the best way to merge the Features from both sources, matching the other criteria as an exact match, but matching the date to a range?

Hi all,  Is there a way to write a csv to the temporary directory of the fme cloud server and use that file as an attachment? i am using the ($shared_resource_temp) server parameter to identify where the file should be written but this is not writing the data to the temporary directory.  Cheers

Hi, I have a lot of DXF files and want only specific layers from this data. Additionally I have an excel file with all layers I want to filter in one column.How can I use the excel file as kind of a filter for the DXF files? The names of the DXF layer are pretty long and it would take to much time to write them all in a testfilter. Thanks and best regards

I have a a startup python script that will execute in workbench, but after being published to fme server fails when connecting to the SDE workspace. See image below. This is a follow up to a question I asked yesterday, https://knowledge.safe.com/questions/103101/intersector-behaving-really-strange.htmlSource B is a road network and source A is overlaying lines with aditional info on the roads. I would like to transfer the attributes, and some non overlaping features from A to B. Some of the features in B already have these attributes so there is a empty cell causing trouble when I try a spatial join like the LineOnline. If B gets read first no attribute will be transfered from A and a empty cell will be output. I have then moved on to trying to do this with Lists, but have run out of ideas. The LineOnline transformer above is set to gather lists for the attributes I need. In some places there are multiple overlays which makes it tricky to merge the data. See illustration below. NN OO MM 1 X   2  Y  3   Z  How do I merge the attributes in the table above? Also some of the features have conflicting data, but that is a later headache.

Hi All, Based on a folder name i want to move files from A to B in FMESo for example:- zip file is received via httpCaller and saved to a default location- within that downloaded zip file, i want to extract one folder & its contents (probably using systemCaller)- The internal folder will have 1 of 5 possible names(lets say finance, sales, IT, etc)- Its destination will depend on the the folder nameI dont think theres a transformer for this, to check if a file exists?So i'm guessing it would be a python script of sorts to check if each of the file names exist, set an attribute based off of that result, then filter. but im useless at python, its on my 'to learn' list. Any help is appreciated!

I am creating a legend for my pdf and using the PDFStyler to create the different line colors. Based on a certain value in an attribute, I am setting the rgb for the legend line. It looks ok in inspector after the PDFStyler, but when it goes through the PDFPageFormatter, all the lines are blue. If I were to set the color for the data individually, it is fine, it is just when I attempt to set the color from an attribute that it doesn't work. Would appreciate any help.some of the types are not defined which is why they are black.all blue

I have created a polygon layer from a numeric raster. RastertoPolygonCoercer shows a _label attribute to be created and this appears in inspector as the values from the raster. Perfect - but - I want to ensure this is carried through and written out to shapefile - except I can't "see" the attribute in subsequent transformers. So I thought attribute creator and map the attribute to a new field, or attribute exposer and ensure it appears, or even attribute mapper sounds a possibility. Except when it comes to picking the attribute you want to make available (_label) it doesn't appear in any list of available attributes. It doesn't appear in a shapefile written out and I don't know how else to access it - Help.....

Hello everyone,I've got a certain problem that I can't solve for many days.  I'm trying to find the overlaying areas between an IFC file and an ACAD one.  I explain the idea, the purpose is that I've got 2 readers as entries : one for IFC and one for ACAD. then the we need to find the spatial relation between each objects of the IFC and the zones drawn in ACAD. --That point is OK. Then for the objects which have 2 _related_candidates, I would like to calculate the overlaying area with each zone to keep only the one with the biggest overlaying area. My problem right now is about that second step that I can't solve for the moment. I hope it's clear enough and you'll be able to help me with this matter. Regards,Clem

Hi, we are having a problem in running a workspace in FME Server.We has FME Server 2016.1.2.1. using FME Desktop we created a simple workflow that connects to a Oracle Geodatabase, reads a Feature Class, creates a new field and fill this new field with a value. We would like to save the result of the workflow in another Feature Class that already exists in the geodatabase. When running the workspace in FME Desktop, everything Works good and the results are successfully but when we published this workflow to FME Server and runs the workspace, FME Server runs the workspace but shows a message saying that 0 feature was written to the destination Feature Class. in the logs i can find the following messages: Features not written - verify feature type fanout/dynamic settings(Check that fanout/dynamic feature type attribute exists and has a value) We are new using FME and can not find the reason of this behavior, we already search in the documentation but did not find any information that can

I'm having an issue writing vector data and an image together into a pdf. The vector data is coming from a sql database, the image is from a web source. I'm using the ImageFetcher to clip the piece of image I need. The bounding box of the image comes from a buffered of all the vector data I'm writing to the pdf layer.The vector data are pushed off into the corner when I attempt to write both the image and the vector together. I'm following the example of how to create the pdf from a sample workflow from Safe. The only difference is that the image in the sample comes from a file and mine comes from a web source. Would appreciate help with this. Below are the workspace image, and the image of the pdf with and without the background image.

Hello everyone,I have a workspace where I'm trying to extract the two different 'styles' out of two attributes. In both attributes there are some strings that have 9 values, and some that have 11. I tried to use a TestFilter to extract these four separate styles into their own output. I've attached a photo of the statements I used. One problem I was noticing was that there was no attributes being cached at one of the outputs, even though the prior transformer output had the attributes present. Inspecting some of the cached features seems to be misleading, and sometimes shows missing values. Could someone tell me what I'm doing wrong? I can attach the workspace if needed. Thanks,Reid

I have a user that requires a non-spatial SQL Server Table provided to them as a Tab Separated CSV file. I have found the CSV writer, but cannot find an option to output as tab separated instead of the Comma Separated.Does anyone know if this is possible?Thanks very much for your time.Cheers

Hi FME'erI have created a shape file of crime data and I also have a boundary shape file of the neighborhood. I want to create a heat map to analyze which neighborhood has the most number of crimes for which i will be needing the count of total number of crimes that have taken place in that particular neighborhood. But i don't know how should I proceed to be able to do a spatial join and to calculate the count of crime points in each neighborhood polygon such that the output polygon will have an attribute field of the sum of the crime count. Any help and guidance will be much appreciated. Thanks in advance

Hi all. I'd like to populate a new attribute D with attribute C value from a feature of my table, where its attribute B is the same as attribute A of my target feature. So attr D and A, target feature, attr B and C referent feature. Is it possible? Im use to work with 2 readers, not sure how to do it with one. Many thanks!
