Hi all, I'm trying to detect the changes between the on premise data (SQL Server 2017) and AGOL (ArcGIS Online) data. The schema is the same, of course the field types are slightly different.  I've noticed that ChangeDetector is constantly reporting a large number of changes, and closer inspection highlighted the problem, that the GEODATABASE_SDE reader into the sql server is reporting that the datime2 field type (CreatedAt) is of type date in FME reader, and is actually truncating the data into the date only.  So if let's consider a single record:FME reads it  from AGOL: 20190101000000  from DB: 20190101SQL Server reads it as 2019-01-01 00:00:00.0000000  Hence reporting is as a change.  How can I force the reader to use datetime2 instead of just date?

Hello,I am curious of there is a setting or ability to ignore "insert errors" related to primary key constraints in a SQL Database. The workspace writer is doings its job by not allowing duplicate keys to be created but I would like to override/ignore these errors to allow the workspace to continue and finish successfully.I know I could use an UpdateDetector or reader from the destination to prevent these inserts from hitting the writer but this will really slow down the process to read all existing records to perform this compare. I was hoping to set a SQL writer or workspace property to allow the workspace to continue when a duplicate key is encoutered. Any tips or techniques for this situation without actually reading the destination and comparing the input records?Thanks Ronnie

i have group of values with different color codes. When I run the transformer, it considers only first row color for all bars. Actually Bar colors should vary based on color attribute , Really appreciable if anyone can help on this ?

I have a long running workbench on the FME server. Is it possible to take actions if a job submitted is canceled?proposed workflow1. submit a job2. cancel a job3. write into a file information regarding the job that was cancelled (is possible to do it inside the same workbech? is possible to do it with another workbench? a subscription could help??) [EDIT]:The idea is that step 3 is automatically triggered after the cancellation of the job, that is what I mean by "React".[EDIT]: I am using FME Server 2018.1.2 - Build 18590 - win64: I notice that JOBSUBMITTER_ASYNC_JOB_FAILURE topic is not triggered when a job is canceled.thanks for any hint provided.

Existing FME Desktop and FME Server version 2015.1 will support Windows Server 2019??

We recently upgraded from 2018 to 2019.1.3.1, a workbench that worked fine in 2018 is now have python issues both in Server and desktop. Hi,I'm attempting to connect to an AWS S3 bucket from FME desktop (2018.0). (Colleagues have informed me that the situation is no different in FME 2019). The system proxy settings are controlled via a PAC file as part of group policy. I know that the proxy is NTLM, and as far as I can tell there is no way that FME can pass on authentication credentials correctly and so connections are always refused. I have tried the various settings within tools>FMEoptions>Network Proxy> but I always receive the same connection error -'Unable to execute HTTP request: 'I can navigate to the bucket via the browser with no problems. As at here https://knowledge.safe.com/questions/31838/s3uploader-and-network-proxy.html is it simply the case that the S3 tools do not work with an NTLM proxy? Is the only alternative (in my case to pay for) a proxy authentication bypass?

Hello, I am looking for a way to generate a precision code for GPS coordinates of parcel fabric. Is there any way to generate a code for the accuracy of coordinates like a range of number for example 1-7 where 1 signifies most accurate while 7 signifies least accurate.. I am re projecting my data from to LL84. Any suggestion?

Hi, I'm trying to calculate average response times for my city's fire department. I'm not sure which transformer is best to use? I've used the date time converter to change the data that is coming over in seconds to minutes but then I need to do a) calculate the average of those individual response times and/or b)subtract the difference between two fields and then c) calculate the average of the difference.  Thanks in advance for any help. 

Hello,I have a workspace for converting DGN vector data into a LandXML surface file built by a fine FME support tech. It works great, but I'm now noticing that the coordinates in the output file have 10 decimal places. We really only need 3 places, which would shrink our files dramatically. I tried adding the coordinate rounder in a few places, but the final coordinates are not changing. Not sure where to look to fix it. I'm not able to add attachments or I would attach my workspace (nothing happens when I click on "attachments). Thanks!!

I have a workbench that tries to write features to an existing hosted feature layer in ArcGIS Online and also to an enterprise geodatabase. The enterprise GDB write is successful but the AGOL write fails with some odd errors about needing to reproject the data (which makes sense since AGOL uses WGS 84 Web Mercator Aux Sphere and my data uses our local StatePlane projection). I added a Reprojector transformer (tried both the regular Reprojector and the ESRIReprojector) and both don't solve the issue.What makes this really weird is that in earlier steps in my workbench, when I click on the inspector icon in any transformer available, the visual preview shows up for about a second, then suddenly the transaction log pops up and shows "Worker <some 4 digit number that always changes>" then a few lines of generic info about coordinates of a single record. Here's an example:Are these issues related? Am I doing something really wrong?

Hi, By default autocad_line gets writen in Autodesk DWG/DXF as line if it has 2 vertices or polyline if it has 2 or more vertices according to https://docs.safe.com/fme/html/FME_Desktop_Documentation/FME_ReadersWriters/acad/Lines.htm  Is there a way to treat and write lines as polylines regardless of number of vertices in Autodesk DWG/DXF. Cheers,Želimir.  

Everything is in the title, I have several operations on a single input dataset branching through several levels of operations. Ultimately I have some mongodb writers and python callers loading transformed data. I want to be sure that one python caller won't start before another one has ended (the first one will create documents, and the second one pushes elements into arrays within those documents).

I have a process that writes a number of text files. Just figured out how to populate an email with a number of pieces of information about each runtime, time, feature count, etc. But it's basically sending the email in parallel with the writer finishing up. I would like to have the writer trigger the email, similar to how it's described here.https://knowledge.safe.com/questions/4963/sending-mail-in-fme-desktop.htmlI can replace my TXT writer with a feature writer and write to TXT but there appears to be no fanout feature with the FeatureWriter? if that's so, is there another way to have the email kick off only after text writer completes?

For some reason the data that processed is not the same as viewed in the inspector. I am trying top process my data and store it in SQL server but for some reason about 200 records go missing both in the table that i have created and data inspector. Does anyone know why this could be happening and how can retrieve the missing records? Only 2074213 records are shown out of 274410?

I have a multiple polygons that represents a ground model surface. I have one border, that for example marks the limits of a buildable area.  I want an extruded version of my border, using the extruder I for example can extrude it by 10 m up. But I want to extrude it from the height of the overlapping area on the ground model +10 m. That is a separate problem with the vector, however, to do that I need every single intersecting point where the polyline (see orange TOP) edge intersects the polygon, or where the border goes over to another triangle. (see the grey crosses). The border has no z-value or elevation. What I want is a polyline that follows the surface of the ground model and that I can get the z-value for each point or edge so I can extrude the height accordingly.  So the orange is now flat, but I want it to drape over the gorund model and follows its height, so then I can easily add my 10 m.  I tried a combination of Intersector, Surfacedraper, and surfacemodeller but Im havi

The workbench that i have designed works fine for one shapefile and gives me the output in Excel in sheet 1.Also i have created a workspacerunner.This is not giving me the desired output.
